Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh values in education as part of Sundanese local wisdom. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing various sources, including books, academic journals, educational policy documents, and previous studies related to character education and local culture. The findings indicate that silih asih plays a role in fostering compassion, empathy, and mutual respect; silih asah encourages the development of learners’ potential through collaborative learning; and silih asuh emphasizes the role of educators in guiding and providing role models for students. The integration of these values can be achieved through curriculum development, learning strategies, and school culture grounded in local wisdom. This study highlights that education based on silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh values significantly contributes to character building and the strengthening of cultural identity amid globalization challenges.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini memberikan peluang besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, khususnya pada Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Penggunaan teknologi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis digital memungkinkan pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif, menarik, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa di sekolah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi, implementasi, dan implikasi pengembangan bahan ajar PAI berbasis teknologi di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), artikel ini menyusun dan menganalisis literatur yang relevan untuk memberikan gambaran mendalam mengenai manfaat, tantangan, dan langkah-langkah strategis dalam pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis teknologi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam bahan ajar PAI tidak hanya meningkatkan daya serap siswa tetapi juga mendukung pembentukan karakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Meskipun demikian, keberhasilan implementasi memerlukan dukungan infrastruktur, kompetensi guru, dan kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung pemerataan akses teknologi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kolaborasi yang baik antara guru, siswa, sekolah, dan pemerintah untuk memaksimalkan manfaat teknologi dalam pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

Social media has become the primary communication space for Generation Z in accessing information and shaping perspectives on public issues. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in the formation of public opinion among Generation Z. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of social media activities, and documentation studies of digital content related to public issues. The findings indicate that social media functions as a dominant source of information, a public discourse arena, and a medium for shaping attitudes and perceptions among Generation Z. The process of public opinion formation is influenced by the intensity of information exposure, digital social interactions, social media algorithms, and the role of influencers and content creators. This study concludes that social media plays a significant role in shaping public opinion among Generation Z, highlighting the importance of strengthening media literacy to encourage critical and responsible engagement with digital information.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urgency of integrating financial literacy into secondary education as an effort to foster rational economic behavior among students. The low level of financial literacy among the younger generation has resulted in weak personal financial management, high levels of consumptive behavior, and limited early investment awareness. The 2024 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) indicates that the financial literacy index for the 15–17 age group reached only 51.68%, significantly below the national average of 66.46%. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method and educational policy analysis. Data were collected from scientific journals, reports of national financial institutions, educational regulations, and policy documents related to financial literacy published within the last three years. The findings reveal that the integration of financial literacy through a competency-based economics curriculum, project-based learning, and collaboration with financial institutions can enhance students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills in economic decision-making. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening an applied, competency-based economic curriculum to cultivate a generation that is adaptive to the dynamics of the digital economy and possesses financial resilience in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

The phenomenon of identity politics in Indonesian general elections has increased significantly over the past decade, especially in the 2014 and 2019 elections, which were characterized by campaigns based on religion, ethnicity, and social affiliation. This strategy is used to mobilize support through exclusive narratives that shift the focus from substantive policy issues toward identity based polarization. This study aims to analyze the forms, mobilization dynamics, and impact of identity politics on social polarization. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research and discourse analysis of campaign speeches, national mass media, and official documents from the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Constitutional Court for the period 2014–2024. The findings show that identity politics strengthens social segmentation through digital echo chambers and hate speech campaigns, and reduces levels of inter group trust. Nevertheless, within the context of inclusive democracy, identity politics also serves as a channel for articulating the aspirations of minority groups. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening campaign regulations, promoting inclusive political education, and optimizing Bawaslu’s oversight to maintain social cohesion and the consolidation of democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of an inclusive church curriculum for various age groups within the congregation. This research is grounded in the theological understanding that every human being is created in the image of God, affirming the equal dignity of all church members. Using a qualitative approach and library research methods, information was obtained from various sources such as books, academic journals, and other literature related to Christian education, faith development, inclusive education, and church curriculum design. The results indicate that faith education is a lifelong process that must be adapted to the developmental stages and needs of different age groups. An inclusive curriculum provides opportunities for children, adolescents, adults, and parents to actively participate in faith learning that is meaningful and relevant to their context. Furthermore, this study also identified several challenges faced by churches, such as a lack of systematic planning and age-appropriate learning methods. The application of inclusive curriculum principles, such as congregation-focused, context-relevant, sustainable, participatory, and transformative, is considered a strategic solution. This study concludes that an inclusive church curriculum can strengthen faith formation, promote unity, and support the holistic spiritual development of all age groups within the congregation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the reality that social media and digital platforms have become an essential part of the daily lives of church members in Indonesia. However, the use of these media for faith formation in the church has not yet been optimal. In many cases, digital technology is only utilized for technical purposes, such as conducting online worship services, disseminating information, and promoting church activities. Its use has not been seriously directed toward shaping spiritual maturity and Christian character. Meanwhile, the digital world holds great potential as a new space for learning about faith in ways that are relevant to the everyday lives of the congregation.   This research aims to analyze how the church curriculum can develop and respond to the challenges of the digital era and social media while remaining faithful to the values of the Gospel. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach by examining various sources, including government data, reports from APJII, as well as theological books and journals related to the church and digital media. The results of this study show that digital media can become an effective tool for faith formation if it is properly integrated into the church curriculum. The development of the church curriculum should not focus solely on teaching technology, but must also include the enhancement of spiritual digital literacy, media ethics, and the formation of mature Christian character. This study emphasizes that the digital world should be regarded as a space that is as important as traditional spaces of worship and Christian education. The implication of this research is that the church needs to create an integrative and relevant curriculum that combines faithfulness to God’s Word with creativity in the use of digital technology. In this way, church members will not only become familiar with technology, but will also have a strong faith, demonstrate wisdom in using digital media, and be able to embody Christian values in both their online and offline lives.

Abstract

This research is motivated by an in-depth exploration of the integration of theology and pedagogy in the practice of church curriculum development. Theology and pedagogy are expected to have synergy in realizing optimal curriculum development. The purpose of this study is to review and examine the extent of integration between theology and pedagogy in the practice of church curriculum development. The method used in this research is qualitative with a literature study approach in which the researcher collected primary data from trusted and reputable library sources, as well as secondary data to support the objectivity of this research. The results of this study indicate that the integration of theology and pedagogy in the practice of church curriculum development still appears to be gaps and has not been optimally reflected in the current curriculum development. From this research, it is hoped that each church can understand itself as a central role in implementing and developing the curriculum through the integration of theology and pedagogy so that education and life are realized based on contextual Christian values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi Fenomena kemerosotan karakter di kalangan Kekristenan. Kekristenan diharapan menjadi teladan di Tengah-tengah keberadaannya dalam semua aspek kehidupan yang ada di dalam kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada pembaca dan kalangan Kristen untuk memahami bahwa Kurikulum memiliki perananan strategis dalam membentuk karakter kekristenan saat ini. Metode penelitian dalam artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur dengan sumber primer yaitu dengan menggali banyak sumber yang tertulis seperti,buku,jurnal dan artikel tetapi harus sesuai dengan topik tenteng peran gereja dan perkembangan kurikulum yang di gerja tetapi harus kontekstual di era digital dan sumber sekunder yaitu data penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum gereja belum dimaksimalkan dengan baik hal ini terlihat dari data penelitian sebelumnya dan sumber sekunder yang ada menegaskan bahwa belum semua kalangan Kristen memahami urgensitas dari peran Kurikulum sebagai pembentuk karakter Kristen. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan pembaca memahami peran penting dari kurikulum gereja sebagai pembentuk karakter Kristen di era modern. Dengan demikian peneliti menemukan kebaruan dari penelitian ini yaitu Peran sentral kurikulum gereja sebagai wadah pembentukan karakter Kristen.

Abstract

The emergence of various behavioral deviations among adolescents, such as moral crises, violence, and crime, indicates a degradation of character influenced by a lack of moral training in the digital age. The purpose of this study is to examine how Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays a role in building the character and faith of young people, enabling them to develop integrity, ethics, and spiritual maturity. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to conduct this research. This method involved reviewing previous literature related to the research topic, such as books, journals, and theological publications. The study shows that PAK plays a strategic role in building Christian character grounded in faith in Christ and biblical values ​​such as love, honesty, responsibility, self-control, and faithfulness. PAK is not only a tool for sharing knowledge of the faith; it is also a process of mind renewal and heart transformation that encourages the younger generation to live morally and responsibly, including in the use of social media and collaboration with teachers, family, church, and spiritual communities.
