Factum: Jurnal Sejarah dan Pendidikan Sejarah promotes research in the broad field of history and Education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. Contributions are expected from historian, educator, teacher, senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style. The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any history and history education field. Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the reasons and process for the change of President Pieter Willem Botha to Frederik Willem de Klerk, 2) describe the various struggles that Nelson Mandela has made to realize democracy in South Africa in 1990-1994, 3) describe the results of the efforts that have been made. carried out by Nelson Mandela realizing democracy in 1994. The research method used to examine this research is the historical method by carrying out 4 stages including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography using literature study as a research technique. The findings of this study can be opened that first, in 1990 the government led by Pieter Willem Botha had begun to revive the condition, which was clouded by the many incidents carried out by black people who attracted international attention, because of the pressure that was obtained and then founded, Frederik Willem de Klerk. President Frederik Willem de Klerk made demands for blacks to attend Nelson Mandela and other politics and abolish apartheid's political laws. Second, after being released from prison, Nelson Mandela was again active in politics with the ANC in his struggle this time he had to deal with his own group, the dispute between the ANC and Inkatha that claimed lives and at the same time had to carry out his mission to gather support for the ANC. The government led by Frederik Willem de Klerk finally agreed to hold the first general election in South Africa which was held on 27 April 1994. Third, the election was won by the ANC party by obtaining 252 votes, Nelson Mandela was then black President in South Africa for the period 1994- 1999.Keywords: apartheid politics, democracy, nelson mandela

Abstract

Government policies during the pandemic caused the learning process to turn online. This makes high school teachers, especially in history subjects, have to adjust the lesson plans to the learning media used for teaching. One application that is widely used to carry out online learning is Whatsapp Messenger. In practice, online learning is certainly different from offline learning. Teachers as those who facilitate and monitor students' learning activities will experience difficulties, such as seeing how disciplined students are. Discipline in learning is an important thing to have especially in the 21st century in the process of developing useful skills that can help students when they enter work. Therefore, the teacher designed a lesson plan that contained student learning discipline that they wanted to realize by using whatsapp messenger. This is the background of this research. This study aims to obtain an overview of student learning discipline attitudes, obstacles experienced by teachers and students, as well as what efforts are being made to overcome these problems. The subjects in this study were a history teacher and class X IPA 1 at SMAN 1 Talaga. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, while the data collection technique is done by interview, observation, and documentation study. The results of this study are teacher use the whatsapp messenger application quite optimally, because this can help to carry out history learning during the pandemic. The use of this application is also one of the driving factors that shape student discipline attitudes.

Abstract

This study is aims to explain Burhanudin Mohamad Diah (B.M. Diah) regarding his role, views, ideas, impact and responses toward his ideas during the Indonesia Revolusition in 1945 – 1949. This article is using historical method which consists of several steps, including: source search (heuristic), source criticism (internal and eksternal), interpretation and historigraphy. The result of this study indicating that during B.M. Diah’s journey as a journalist and politician, he gained a lot of experience while in school. During Indonesia revolution B.M. Diah has consistently expressed his four views and ideas through editorial header on Merdeka daily using alias Dr. Clenik. The four involved, the first is people unitarism that 100% independence within the framework of uniti is the will of the people. The second is the skepticism of the political manipulation carried bu the Ducth. Third, nationalism and identity crisis becoming phenomenom in Indonesia at the time. Fourth, there are also latent socialist in Indonesia B.M. Diah view’s, who was similar to the Partai Nasional Indonesia, had a fairly large impact on Komite Nasional Indonesia Pusat, and B.M. Diah had a bear various responeses as a consequence of his political activities and publications.

Abstract

Indonesia's declining quality of education can be due to changes in education not coupled with adaptive and dynamic change in principles of learning, especially in history learning. During this time the learning of history continues to make teachers the only learning resource and does not make technology the primary tool to support learning activities.In this study, researchers use a qualitative approach to study by descriptive methods to help researchers understand deeply the issues that are the focus of the researcher. As for the data-collection techniques used by researchers, interviews, observations, and documentary studies. Based on research activities already done at MAN 1 Sukabumi history learning schemes by applying a blended learning, youtube based model could create a new learning principle that the author calls the SIMBAS (ready, interactive, independent and free). SIMBAS is a principle of learning offered by the writer to change the mindset of the teacher of history in understanding the essence of today's learning, of the rigidity of the mindset by making the teacher the sole source of learning, to an adaptive and dynamic mind-set by making the teacher a facilitator. It is also hoped that it will bring about an innovation and a historical learning creation that will address the learning problem in the face of demands for realization of the Suistanable Development Goals (SDGs)  and the growing VUCA or Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity,  Ambiguity challenge.Abstrak : Menurunnya kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia disebabkan karena perubahan yang terjadi dalam bidang pendidikan tidak dibarengi dengan kesiapan perubahan prinsip pembelajaran yang adaptif dan dinamis, terutama dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Selama ini proses pembelajaran sejarah masih menjadikan guru sebagai satu-satunya sumber belajar dan belum menjadikan teknologi sebagai perangkat utama untuk menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran.  Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif agar peneliti bisa memahami secara mendalam masalah yang menjadi fokus peneliti. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti ialah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan kegiatan penelitian yang telah dilakukan di MAN 1 Sukabumi skema pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan model blended learning berbasis video youtube  bisa menciptakan prinsip pembelajaran baru yang peneliti sebut dengan istilah SIMBAS (Siap, Interaktif, Mandiri dan Bebas). SIMBAS merupakan prinsip pembelajaran yang ditawarkan oleh peneliti untuk mengubah mindset guru sejarah dalam memahami esensi pembelajaran dewasa ini, dari pola pikir yang bersifat kaku (rigidity) dengan menjadikan guru sebagai satu-satunya sumber belajar, menuju pola pikir yang bersifat adaptif dan dinamis (agility) dengan menjadikan guru sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran. Gagasan ini juga diharapkan dapat menghadirkan inovasi dan kreasi pembelajaran sejarah yang bisa menjawab masalah pembelajaran di tengah tuntutan realisasi Suistanable Development Goals (SDGs) dan tantangan di era VUCA atau Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity.yang semakin tinggi.Keywords: Blended learning,, History Learning, Principles of learning, SDGS, VUCA

Abstract

The status of American women in the early 19th century was not fine. The emergence of gender problems in the United States is one of the protracted problems that took decades, beginning with the inequality between the rights of women and men. This gave rise to a women's movement to get their rights. One of the female figures who participated in the fight for it was Susan B. Anthony. The purpose of this study is to describe the activities of Susan B. Anthony in obtaining equal rights for American women in the aspect of journalism. The method used in this research is the historical or historical method. The steps in this method are heuristics, criticism, and historical writing consisting of historiography, interpretation, explanation and presentation. The results of this study describe the struggle of Susan B. Anthony as a journalist in the feminist movement in the United States, by writing and publishing the newspaper "The Revolution", giving speeches and writing petitions, and writing the book History of Woman Suffrage. Susan B. Anthony's role as both a movement activist and a journalist during the feminist movement in the United States has been an inspiration for American women, especially for the subsequent women's movement activists who continued the feminist movement after Susan B. Anthony retired from the feminist movement activists, until the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Abstract

Abstract : This study describes how students' independent learning activities with Android-based E-Module media. Independent learning becomes an urgency when the PJJ and PTMT systems are implemented. In this regard, of course, learning media is needed that can support the growth of independent learning attitudes. Based on journal literacy and previous research, the Android-based E-Module media is one of the media that can be used by students to do independent learning so that the essence and goals of learning can be achieved. This study aims to provide an overview of Android-based E-Modules and describe students' independent learning activities with Android-based E-Modules media. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study used purposive sampling, namely students in class XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The findings and results of the study show that the Android-based E-Modul media supports independent learning which can be seen from the students' independent learning activities using Android-based E-Module media.Abstrak : Penelitian ini menggambarkan mengenai bagaimana aktivitas mandiri belajar peserta didik dengan media E-Modul berbasis Android. Mandiri belajar menjadi urgensi ketika diterapkannya sistem PJJ maupun PTMT. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, tentu dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung tumbuhnya sikap mandiri belajar. Berdasarkan literasi jurnal dan penelitian terdahulu, media E-Modul berbasis android menjadi salah satu media yang dapat dimanfaatkan peserta didik untuk melakukan belajar mandiri sehingga esensi dan tujuan dari pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran terkait E-Modul berbasis Android dan mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar mandiri peserta didik dengan media E-Modul berbasis Android. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling yakni peserta didik di kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan dan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media E-Modul berbasis Android mendukung kemandirian belajar yang dapat dilihat dari aktivitas belajar mandiri peserta didik dengan menggunakan media E-Modul berbasis Android.

Abstract

Film merupakan media komunikasi massa yang sangat ampuh dalam mempengaruhi tingkah laku manusia. Tontonan yang baik bukan tidak mungkin akan membantu masyarakat untuk berkelakuan baik pula, karena apa yang dilihat akan menjadi contoh orang untuk melakukan sesuatu. Film Indonesia sejak awal kemunculannya mengalami perkembangan yang naik turun, termasuk pada periode 1998-2019. Periode tersebut diwarnai oleh film-film dengan genre berbeda namun masih terdapat banyak kelemahan yang menghambat kemajuan film nasional. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menggambarkan kondisi perfilman Indonesia pada tahun 1992-1998, menyajikan perkembangan politik Indonesia pada tahun 1998-2019, menganalisis pengaruh politik terhadap perfilman Indonesia pada tahun 1998-2019, serta menganalisis perkembangan perfilman Indonesia dalam menghadapi perkembangan media lain untuk menonton film pada tahun 1998-2019. Alasan penelitian ini dilakukan karena pada tahun 1998-2019 perfilman Indonesia mulai mencapai babak baru yang ditandai dengan munculnya film-film fenomenal serta terjadinya perkembangan yang naik turun. Selain itu, masih belum banyak sumber yang membahas tentang sejarah perfilman Indonesia, terutama pada tahun 1998-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang diawali dari tahap heuristik atau pengumpulan sumber, kritik sumber, interpretasi terhadap data sumber, serta penulisan sejarah atau historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat ditemukan bahwa pada tahun 1998-2019 perfilman Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang naik turun, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari jumlah produksi, jumlah penonton, dan jumlah film box office. Namun, semenjak periode 2016-2019 perkembangan perfilman nasional semakin meningkat secara signifikan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari pertambahan jumlah layar dan bioskop, jumlah produksi, jumlah penonton, jumlah film box office, serta film yang mendapatkan apresiasi di luar negeri.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, teachers were asked to organize creative and innovative online learning to support the continuity of the learning process. In online history learning, teachers can use voice-over power point as learning media. This study aims to obtain a description of the online history learning using voice-over power point in SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua. The method used in this research is a study of qualitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that there are several things that the teacher prepares before carrying out the online history learning such as compiling the RPP and designing voice-over power point. The online history learning using voice power point media is carried out through google classroom. The teacher utilises voice-over power point as a media to deliver lesson material to students. However, there are a few deficiencies in this learning such as lack of direct interaction between students and teachers, and lack of student involvement in the learning process. Nevertheless, in general students gave positive responses regarding online history learning using voice power point media.

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus has had an impact on various aspects of life, including the world of education. Require each government to implement emergency policies to reduce and stop the Covid-19 virus pandemic. In Indonesia, in the field of education, distance learning policies are issued or carried out online at home for each school. Learning that is carried out online is no exception at MAN 2 Sukabumi City and is a new thing that is also a challenge for every school. These challenges then have an impact on the process and learning outcomes carried out by teachers and students. The learning problem that is seen and becomes a concern during the online history learning process, especially in class X IPS 4 MAN 2 Sukabumi City is the low creativity of students which is included in 21st century skills. There are several indicators of creativity that are low and lacking in students. The current conditions with the implementation of online learning, although recently limited face-to-face meetings have begun, make it necessary to use an online platform to support the learning process and conduct research during this pandemic. Based on these problems, the formulation of the problems taken in this research is how to increase students' creativity in learning history through the application of flipchart projects with the help of the Whast App application. The method used in this research is a classroom action research (CAR) method using a design developed by Ebbut.
