Abstract

This article is entitled “The Movement of the 7 December Division Troops in the West Java Region (1947-1950)”. The main problem discussed in this article is how the movement of the 7 December Division Troops while in West Java. The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply the movement of the 7 December Division Troops in West Java during the battle with the TNI and the policies carried out by the 7 December Division while in West Java. This research used historical method which has several steps, namely Heuristic, source criticism in which there are external and internal criticisms, interpretation and historiography. To deepen the analysis of this research, this research used the approach of sociology and conflict theory. The research used literature study technique. Based on research results, the December 7th Division was a special troop formed directly by Queen Wilhelmina. These troops were asked to come to Indonesia and be stationed in the West Java region for the task of carrying out security and order. But the security and order carried out by the 7 December Division Troops in West Java constituted colonial order and security. West Java region is a strategic place because by conquering West Java, to control the capital can easily be achieved. The December 7th Division troops had their headquarters in the Batavia area. The 7 December Division troops have guardhouses in West Java, including: Buitenzorg, Batavia, Cibadak, Cianjur, Sukabumi, Tanggerang, Cibinong, Kebalen, and Tanjung Priok. Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the reasons and process for the change of President Pieter Willem Botha to Frederik Willem de Klerk, 2) describe the various struggles that Nelson Mandela has made to realize democracy in South Africa in 1990-1994, 3) describe the results of the efforts that have been made. carried out by Nelson Mandela realizing democracy in 1994. The research method used to examine this research is the historical method by carrying out 4 stages including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography using literature study as a research technique. The findings of this study can be opened that first, in 1990 the government led by Pieter Willem Botha had begun to revive the condition, which was clouded by the many incidents carried out by black people who attracted international attention, because of the pressure that was obtained and then founded, Frederik Willem de Klerk. President Frederik Willem de Klerk made demands for blacks to attend Nelson Mandela and other politics and abolish apartheid's political laws. Second, after being released from prison, Nelson Mandela was again active in politics with the ANC in his struggle this time he had to deal with his own group, the dispute between the ANC and Inkatha that claimed lives and at the same time had to carry out his mission to gather support for the ANC. The government led by Frederik Willem de Klerk finally agreed to hold the first general election in South Africa which was held on 27 April 1994. Third, the election was won by the ANC party by obtaining 252 votes, Nelson Mandela was then black President in South Africa for the period 1994- 1999.Keywords: apartheid politics, democracy, nelson mandela

Abstract

This study stems from the phenomenon that social studies learning needs to be developed by creative teachers based on their cultural values. Social studies teachers must be able to understand the problems of social life and develop social skills in their respective cultures. This research aims to describe the cultural values of siri’ na pacce’ for the Bugis-Makassar, and how to integrate these cultural values into social studies learning in the digital age.  The research method used is a literature study method by reviewing and identifying the cultural values of siri’ na pacce’ including books, journals, or articles, then presented and analyzed. The cultural value of siri’ na pacce’ for the Bugis-Makassar described in two concepts that characterize the Bugis-Makassar individual to maintain a balance between disgrace and self-esteem which is defined as siri’ and to maintain a sense of togetherness in the position and suffering of each member of the society asserted as pacce’ notion. The integration of  siri ‘na pacce’ in social studies learning makes students understand their own culture, able to behave and behave according to customs, such as the application of the spirit of Abulo Sibbatang through the discussion method. Story-based methods by displaying animated videos and images about the persistence of Bugis-Makassar sailors and the story in the script of I La Galigo. Thus that teachers are more creative and innovative in designing interesting learning in the digital age.

Abstract

The history learning’s vision is the value that inculcation to students in order to form perfect character. However, in practice, history subject that included in the national curriculum limited to national aspects and teachers ability sometimes perceived to be less relevant to time demand. This article will discuss the potential of developing local history material as a contextual source of learning in addition to national history based on a descriptive study of the Community Service Program in 2019. Through literature study, we can conclude that (1) local history has strategic value as an alternative source of history learning (2) the use of local history as a source of contextual history learning can be integrated with national history learning (3) the lack of use of local history in learning in schools requires a structured effort to develop it optimally.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of students’ ability to express their opinions in detail. These indications seen from information processing only using single source and there is no further processing of resources, thus students less understanding of what they presenting. Some of the problems taken in this study, including: first, how to plan project-based learning, second, how to implement project-based learning, and third, how to reflect on the implementation of project-based learning. This study aims to improve students’ imagination ability in history learning. The research method used is a classroom action research method from Dave Ebbut, beginning with general ideas, reconnaissance (action before action), action plan, action 1, reconnaissance (monitoring after action), choice (changes or not), and next cycles. Aspects from the ability of students’ imagination are high curiosity, identifying facts from relevant sources, being able to express original ideas, being able to produce works, and explaining their work with confidence. The project developed was mind map, writing historical song lyrics, scrapbook, and news anchor presentations. The score of each indicator shows a significant increase in each cycle. This shows the success of implementing Project-Based Learning to improve students’ imagination abilities. Then the results of this study can be used as alternative recommendations for teachers, so students have good imagination ability and learn history more meaningful.

Abstract

The main problem discussed in this article is how the efforts carried out by the Garuda II contingent in the Republic of the Congo. Research methods used used is a historical method which includes several steps, namely heuristics (collecting sources) both oral and written sources, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. To deepen the analysis, the authors use the approach of the science of sociology, the science of international relations. The research technique used is the study of literature. Based on the results of the research, the Government of Indonesia participated in sending peacekeeping forces to the Republic of Congo under the auspices of the United Nations in 1960. Activities undertaken by the Garuda II Contingent Force namely to overcome and mediate rebellions that occurred in the Republic of Congo and conduct patrols to areas that often occur conflicts such as overcoming the battle of sending Garuda II contingent to the City of Boende and Coquihalville, the battle of Kamina, a mine explosion event in Kamina. From these activities the Garuda II Contingent Forces succeeded in carrying out their duties so as to have a very positive impact on the Indonesian contingent troops so that the following year the Indonesian Government sent the Garuda Contingent back in 1962.Keywords : Battle of Kamina, Garuda troops, Republic of the Congo.AbstrakPermasalahan pokok yang dibahas dalam artikel ini adalah bagaimana usaha-usaha yang dilakukan oleh Kontingen Garuda II di Republik Kongo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis yang meliputi beberapa langkah, yaitu heuristik baik sumber lisan maupun tulisan, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan ialah studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil peneltian, Pemerintah Indonesia ikutserta dalam pengirimkan pasukan perdamaian ke Republik Kongo dibawah naungan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa pada tahun 1960. Kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Pasukan Kontingen Garuda II yakni mengatasi dan menengahi pemberontak-pemberontakan yang terjadi di Republik Kongo serta melakukan patroli ke wilayah yang sering terjadi konflik seperti mengatasi pertempuran pengiriman Kontingen Garuda II ke Kota Boende dan Coquihalville, pertempuran Kamina, persitiwa ledakan ranjau di Kamina. Dari kegiatan tersebut Pasukan Kontingen Garuda II berhasil dalam melaksanakan tugas sehingga mendapatkan dampak yang sangat positif bagi pasukan kontingen Indonesia sehingga pada tahun berikutnya Pemerintah Indonesia mengirimkan kembali Kontingen Garuda pada tahun 1962.Kata kunci : Pasukan Garuda, Pertempuran Kamina, Republik Kongo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi mendalam mengenai dinamika perkembangan surat kabar pada masa transisi pemerintahan soekano menuju soeharto yang mana dalam perjalannya sebagai sebuah surat kabar mendapati beberapa pengekangan hingga pencabutan surat izin penerbitan karena dianggap tidak selaras dengan tujuan pemeritah saat itu. Secara umum penelitian ini ingin menjawab pertanyaan mengenai “bagaimana dinamika perjalanan surat kabar dalam masa pemerintahan otoriter, khususnya surat kabar Sinar Harapan di Indonesia?”. Untuk menguji permasalahan, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode historis yang mencakup empat langkah penelitian. Langkah-langkah penelitian diantaranya yaitu pengumpulan sumber tertulis melalui studi literatur (heuristik), kritik sumber, interpretasi atau analisis sumber dan historiografi. Peneliti juga menggunakan konsep untuk menyederhanakan analisis, diantaranya konsep Surat Kabar, Otoriter, politik, pemerintah. Sebuah rasionalisasi untuk studi surat kabar ini, karena banyak perspektif tentang klaim yang dibuat oleh pemerintah atau surat kabar itu sendiri. Analisis teori otoriter muncul dalam bentuk pertanggungjawaban atas analisis surat kabar  sebagai  objek peluisan sejarah, disamping itu teori pers otoriter  digunakan sebagai analisa pada dinamika perkembangan surat kabar di Indonesia.This research aims to conduct an in-depth study of the dynamics of newspaper development during the transition of Soekarno government to Suharto which on its way as a newspaper found some restraint until the revocation of the issuance license because it was considered not in line with the government's goals at that time. In general, this study wants to answer the question of "how is the dynamics of newspaper travel in the period of authoritarian rule, especially Sinar Harapan newspaper in Indonesia?". To test the problem, researchers conducted the study using historical methods that included four steps of research. Research steps include the collection of written sources through the study of literature (heuristics), criticism of sources, interpretation or analysis of sources and historiography. Researchers also use concepts to simplify analysis, including the concept of newspapers, authoritarians, politics, government. A rationalization for the study of this newspaper, due to the many perspectives on the claims made by the government or the newspaper itself. The analysis of authoritarian theory appears in the form of accountability for newspaper analysis as an object of historical immersion, in addition to the theory of the authoritarian press is used as an analysis on the dynamics of newspaper development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Information literacy skills in history learning are important skills to be developed. This research is motivated by the low information literacy skills of students in learning history. These indications can be seen from the ability to analyze the connectedness of historical events and the ability to process student information. Based on these problems, the researchers formulated several problems that were taken in the study including: first, how to plan history learning using the Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) method through E-Learning. Second, how to apply history learning using the Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) method through E-Learning. Third, how to improve information literacy skills using the Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) method in learning history through E-Learning. [F1] Fourth, How to overcome obstacles in using the Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) method in history learning through E-Learning. This study aims to improve students' information literacy skills in learning history. This study uses the research design of Kemmis and McTaggart which includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The researched aspects of information literacy skills are recognizing needed information, accessing relevant information, selecting and comparing information from different sources, evaluating appropriate information, organizing and using information efficiently, combining and constructing information into knowledge. new, and communicating and reflecting information. Based on the results of research conducted, the use of Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) can improve students' information literacy skills in learning history. In the first cycle the average percentage is 50.4%, the second cycle is 60%, and the third cycle is 82.8%.

Abstract

 The title of this research is “The Role of Historical Community (KOMPAS) in Supporting History Learning (a Descriptive Study of an Extracurricular KOMPAS at SMAN 22 Bandung.”The researcher’s background takes the theme of the research based on an interest in extracurricular activities in field of historical study at Senior High School. The choice of the Historical Community as the object of research is because this community the only extracullicullar based on historical learning that exist in Bandung and has not yet received attention among academics. The main problem in this research is “What is the role of the historical community (KOMPAS) in supporting students historical learning at school?”  Based on these problems, the writer divides them into three problem formulations. How was the development of the Historical Community (KOMPAS) in 2015-2019? How has the Historical Community (KOMPAS) designed its programs to support history learning? What is the impact of the Historical Community (KOMPAS) on learning history in 2015-2019?.The method used in this research is descriptive study. The results of this study indicate that the background to the establishment of the Historical Community (KOMPAS) is the development of a history study group that is engaged in developing students' historical insight and skills. After the Historical Community (KOMPAS) was officially established as an extracurricular, this group attempted to create interactive history learning programs that support history learning. The impact of theHistorical Community at SMAN 22 Bandung is to provide a variety of learning resources in developing history learning materials.

Abstract

This paper is based on the author's analysis that the future trend of developing science and technology requires people willing to learn in an integrative and innovative way. Therefore, social studies education, as the main subject for students in Junior High School, must always be responsive and improve themselves to keep up with the times. This study aims to examine the application of science, technology, and society approaches in social studies learning in junior high schools in the contemporary era. The method uses library research by collecting data from various journals and books relevant to the problem. The discussion method uses a descriptive-analytical method by explaining and elaborating the main ideas related to the problems discussed. Then present, it critically through primary and secondary library sources related to the problem. The results of the study found that the application of the science, technology, and society approach to social studies learning in junior high schools in the contemporary era can be applied in five stages, namely: (1) introduction to the issue of the problem, (2) concept formation, (3) application of concepts in life, (4) consolidation of concepts and (5) assessment. The implication of this research going forward is that it can improve students' competence and problem-solving abilities; for example, technological progress is positive and negative effects on the environment.
