Abstract

Besmart UNY is a platform developed by UNY to increase the intention to use information systems in learning. This study aims to (1) determine the effectiveness of using besmart e-learning for the ease of lectures for UNY Science Education students, (2) find out the advantages and disadvantages of using besmart e-learning in UNY Science Education student lectures, (3) how to overcome weaknesses or problems in the use of learning media through besmart. This research is a qualitative research with a survey research method. The subjects of this research were Science Education students at UNY undergraduate level in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 who were selected using a selection technique of 70 students. The results of this study are (1) besmart is effectively used in science education student lectures at UNY, (2) its advantages are facilitating the learning process, learning is more effective while its weaknesses are frequent errors, changes in appearance so that sometimes data or assignments that have been collected are lost, and difficult in looking for classes, (3) how to overcome weaknesses, namely improving the besmart system, adding and developing features.

Abstract

The digital era has brought about fundamental changes in human resource management practices, particularly in employee recruitment and selection processes. This study examines these transformations through a comprehensive systematic literature review of 85 scientific articles published between 2010 and 2024. An in-depth analysis was conducted to explore how social media has reshaped the traditional recruitment landscape, as well as to identify opportunities and challenges in its implementation. The findings reveal that integrating social media into recruitment processes not only enhances operational efficiency but also introduces new dimensions in talent identification and evaluation. This study makes a significant contribution to understanding digital transformation in human resource management and presents a practical framework for effective implementation.

Abstract

Recruitment and employee selection have experienced rapid development with technological advances significantly transforming the process. However, many companies still employ traditional methods that present challenges including lengthy time requ irements, higher costs, and potential bias. This study examines trends and recent developments in employee recruitment processes through systematic literature review. This research employs literature review methodology using secondary data from journals, research reports, and industry publications. Literature was selected based on relevance, quality, and recency, focusing on publications from the last five years using academic databases such as Jurnal Sinta, Google Scholar, JSTOR, and ScienceDirect.Current recruitment trends show significant shift toward digital technology use throughout the process. Online platforms, artificial intelligence (AI), and applicant tracking systems (ATS) have become integral in expanding candidate reach, accelerating recruitment, and enhancing candidate experience. Technology enables companies to screen candidates more efficiently, reduce costs, and improve selection accuracy compared to traditional methods. Latest trends emphasize the importance of diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility in recruitment processes, becoming increasingly relevant amid social changes and millennial generation expectations.

Abstract

Bullying in medical education is an aggressive behavior that is repeated with the intention of harming the physical, mental, or emotional well-being of individuals perceived as weaker. This behavior often occurs between educators, residents, nurses, and students in medical settings. It violates ethical standards of the medical profession and human rights while negatively impacting the quality of education and healthcare services. This study employs a literature review methodology to analyze the causes and effects of bullying on the performance of medical students. The findings indicate that factors such as hierarchical seniority, insufficient supervision, and academic pressure contribute to bullying, which adversely affects students' mental health and academic performance. Comprehensive preventive measures are required to create a safer learning environment that supports students' well-being.

Abstract

The number of students enrolled in Indonesia's education departments has remained high, as seen in the case of the English Education Program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and there are over 3.4 million active teachers nationwide. However, teachers face various challenges, including heavy workloads, low salaries, inadequate facilities, and the pressures of adapting to rapid curriculum changes and the Covid-19 pandemic. This study explores factors contributing to the resilience of Indonesian teachers by elaborating it to the paradigm from Beltman (2020); person-focused perspective, process-focused perspective, context-focused perspective, and system-focused perspective. The study is intended to capture broad aspects of resilience, such as psychological, social, professional, and social factors that support teachers in overcoming challenges.  This article adopts a scoping review methodology, following Arksey and O'Malley's (2005) framework, to map existing literature on teachers' resilience in Indonesia over the last five years. The review process includes five stages: identifying the research question, selecting relevant studies, study selection, charting the data, and summarizing the results. The findings emphasize that teacher resilience in Indonesia is not solely an individual trait but rather a dynamic interplay of personal characteristics, professional skills, social support, and organizational factors. The research highlights the crucial role of self-efficacy, emotional regulation, and social networks, as well as the importance of school leadership and community support in fostering resilience.

Abstract

Indonesia has very diverse topographical and geographical conditions. This gives rise to the frequent occurrence of natural disasters in several regions. One of them is Demak Regency, which is included in the North Coast of Java area and is located in lowlands, basins, and close to river flows. Tidal flooding disasters often hit the area, and certainly the occurrence of these disasters will impact several aspects. One aspect that is affected is the disruption of transportation network access. This article discusses the impact of tidal flooding on infrastructure conditions, particularly related to transportation in Sayung, Bonang, and Karang Tengah Districts of Demak Regency. The method used in writing this article is descriptive qualitative. Source collection was conducted through literature study or library research through various previous studies that can be accessed on the internet. The results of the research are Spatial Dynamics of Tidal Flooding, Impact of Tidal Flooding on Infrastructure and Transportation, Challenges in Facing Transportation Problems, and Solutions in Overcoming Transportation Problems.

Abstract

Tingginya angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) menunjukkan masih lemahnya perilaku dan budaya keselamatan berkendara di wilayah ini. Sepeda motor sebagai moda transportasi utama masyarakat DIY, meskipun memberikan kemudahan mobilitas, juga menjadi kontributor terbesar kecelakaan, dengan persentase keterlibatan mencapai lebih dari 60%. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor perilaku, keterampilan teknis, infrastruktur, dan budaya berkendara masyarakat DIY yang memengaruhi tingkat keselamatan lalu lintas, serta menawarkan rekomendasi berbasis pendekatan keselamatan dan manajemen sumber daya manusia. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur deskriptif kualitatif dengan menganalisis data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik DIY, studi akademik nasional dan internasional (2020–2024), serta laporan instansi terkait. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku tidak tertib, seperti tidak menggunakan helm, melanggar rambu lalu lintas, serta penggunaan ponsel saat berkendara, masih dominan di DIY. Selain itu, rendahnya penguasaan teknik berkendara aman dan keterbatasan infrastruktur, terutama di wilayah pinggiran dan jalur wisata, meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan. Budaya keselamatan berkendara yang sebelumnya mengedepankan kesantunan dan toleransi mulai tergerus akibat modernisasi. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan keselamatan lalu lintas di DIY memerlukan strategi terpadu, mencakup edukasi keselamatan, pelatihan keterampilan teknis, perbaikan infrastruktur, penguatan penegakan hukum, serta revitalisasi budaya berkendara berbasis nilai lokal. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi dasar dalam perumusan kebijakan keselamatan lalu lintas yang lebih efektif dan kontekstual di wilayah DIY.

Abstract

Change is an inevitability in education, where the curriculum must serve as a dynamic roadmap guiding learners to construct knowledge actively and independently. This article examines the evolving needs of Indonesia’s educational curriculum before and after the Covid-19 pandemic through the lens of constructivism, a learning philosophy that positions students as active knowledge constructors. Employing a qualitative approach grounded in literature review and descriptive analysis, the study explores how the 2013 Curriculum, the Emergency Curriculum, and the Merdeka Curriculum have responded to shifting pedagogical demands in both face-to-face and remote learning contexts. Findings indicate that the pandemic accelerated a paradigm shift toward more flexible, student-centered, and project-based curriculum models. However, the primary challenges remain in the uneven readiness of educators and disparities in technological infrastructure. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to reinforcing the philosophical foundation for the development of adaptive curricula aligned with future educational demands. It also offers strategic recommendations for policymakers and educational practitioners. Furthermore, the study opens avenues for future research on the practical implementation of constructivist curricula across diverse settings, including teacher capacity-building and the evaluation of project-based learning effectiveness within the Merdeka Curriculum framework.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai tantangan utama dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia melalui pendekatan literature review. Dalam konteks globalisasi, revolusi industri 4.0, dan transformasi digital, sistem pendidikan nasional dihadapkan pada dinamika yang kompleks dan berlapis. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menelaah artikel-artikel ilmiah terpilih yang dipublikasikan dalam kurun waktu 2015–2025, baik dari jurnal nasional terindeks SINTA maupun jurnal internasional bereputasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan lima isu sentral yang mendominasi diskursus tantangan pendidikan, yakni: kesenjangan akses dan kualitas pendidikan, ketimpangan digitalisasi, kurikulum yang belum relevan dengan tuntutan zaman, kompetensi guru yang belum optimal, serta lemahnya implementasi kebijakan pendidikan di lapangan. Kelima tantangan tersebut saling berkaitan dan memperkuat satu sama lain, sehingga diperlukan solusi yang komprehensif dan kolaboratif untuk menanganinya. Artikel ini merekomendasikan reformasi kebijakan pendidikan yang adaptif, peningkatan pelatihan guru, inovasi kurikulum kontekstual, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor sebagai pendekatan strategis dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era modern.

Abstract

This article aims to systematically review literature related to the role of digital leadership in driving organizational transformation in the era of technological disruption. This research employs a literature review method by collecting and analyzing scientific articles from various indexed databases, such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, published between 2019-2024. The inclusion criteria encompass articles relevant to digital leadership and organizational transformation themes in both public and private sectors. The review findings indicate that digital leadership significantly contributes to the success of organizational transformation by strengthening digital vision, enhancing change management, and increasing innovation capacity. Digital leaders are required to possess competencies in technology, collaborative communication, and adaptive change management. However, digital leadership implementation also faces challenges such as organizational culture resistance, digital infrastructure limitations, and a lack of technological literacy at leadership levels. This study recommends the need for developing digital leadership models that align with local contexts and sectoral characteristics to comprehensively enhance digital transformation effectiveness.
