Abstract

AbstractPISA test results show that scientific literacy for many countries around the world is categorized as low. SETS is one approach that can improve scientific literacy. However, research for the combination of these two topics is still challenging to find. This article aims to systematically show the scope of scientific literacy research and SETS from 2016-2020. This study uses the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method that adopts the PRISMA systematic. The study population consisted of all articles on JRST, IJSE, SE, and JPCS and other journals from the ERIC, DOAJ, and Science Direct directories. The sample of this research is 44 articles obtained in these journals. The results of the article analysis show that JPCS, IJERE, and IJSE publish the articles with the highest quantity, where the topic of scientific literacy is the topic with the highest quantity and the combined topic of scientific literacy SETS is the topic with the least quantity. The sub-topic of scientific literacy and SETS articles most studied was the development of learning books related to scientific literacy and SETS. Most of the types of research used are empirical research types. Further research is suggested to look at the effect of SETS on scientific literacy or develop a SETS-based learning media and student learning environment in improving scientific literacy.AbstrakHasil tes PISA menunjukan literasi sains untuk banyak negera di seluruh dunia dikategorikan rendah. SETS menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang dapat meningkatkan literasi sains. Namun, penelitian untuk gabungan kedua topik ini masih sulit ditemukan. Artikel  ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan sistematik cakupan penelitian literasi sains dan SETS dari tahun 2016-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review) yang mengadopsi sistematik PRISMA. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas seluruh artikel pada JRST, IJSE, SE, dan JPCS, serta pada  jurnal lainnya dari direktori ERIC, DOAJ, dan Science Direct. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 44 artikel yang diperoleh pada jurnal-jurnal tersebut. Hasil analisis artikel menunjukan JPCS, IJERE dan IJSE menerbitkan artikel dengan kuantitas terbanyak, di mana topik literasi sains menjadi topik yang kuantitas paling banyak dan topik gabungan literasi sains dan SETS menjadi topik yang kuantitas paling sedikit. Sub-topik artikel literasi sains dan SETS yang paling banyak diteliti adalah pengembangan buku pembelajaran terkait literasi sains dan SETS. Sebagian besar tipe penelitian yang digunakan ialah tipe penelitian empiris. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan yaitu melihat pengaruh SETS terhadap literasi sains atau mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis SETS dan lingkungan belajar siswa dalam meningkatkan literasi sains.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen yang dilakukan di kelas Fisika Dasar, dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sampel kelas eksperimen sebanyak 40 dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 56 sampel yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive yaitu sampel dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis (uji-t) kemampuan berpikir kreatif kelas eksperimen, harga z untuk -4,43 dan kelas kontrol harga z = -5,29 dengan mempunyai peluang yaitu p = 0,0000 harga p lebih kecil dari α = 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan hipotesis  diterima Ha. Dengan demikian terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa yang signifikan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran berbasis.

Abstract

KORELASI MODEL INKUIRI TERBIMBING BERPENDEKATAN SETS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA AbstractCritical thinking skills in chemistry subject is still low. Teacher-centered learning is one of the causes of low critical thinking skills. The objective of this study was to investigate the correlation of guided inquiry learning model with the Science, Environment, Technology and Society (SETS) approach on students’ critical thinking skills at chemical equilibrium material. The research method was Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, and the samples were taken using purposive sampling. The samples consisted of 36 students in the control and the experimental classes. The research instrument consisted of 12-item essay test which represented 11 indicators of critical thinking skill. Data analysis was performed using the Independent Sample T-test through SPSS 22 version. The results of hypothesis testing showed a correlation of the use of guided inquiry model with SETS approach on students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class with sig values <0.05. The percentage result of the posttest data showed an increase in critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class. The conclusion of this study is that the use of guided inquiry model with SETS approach can improve students' critical thinking skills. The highest critical thinking skills indicator in the experimental class is inducing and judging inductions, while the lowest indicator is observing and judging observation reports.AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran kimia masih rendah. Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada  guru adalah salah satu penyebab rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui korelasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpendekatan Science, Environment, Technology, dan Society (SETS) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Metode penelitian adalah Quasi Experiment dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, dan teknik yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak masing-masing 36 orang pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai sebanyak 12 butir soal yang mewakili 11 indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Analisis data menggunakan Independent Sample T-test melalui SPSS versi 22. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya korelasi penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing berpendekatan SETS terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dengan nilai sig. < 0,05. Hasil persentase data posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing berpendekatan SETS mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis tertinggi di kelas eksperimen adalah membuat induksi dan mempertimbangkan hasil induksi dan indikator terendah adalah mengobservasi dan mempertimbangkan hasil observasi.

Abstract

PERANCANGAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN MATERI AJAR ANATOMI TUBUH DENGAN PETA BERPIKIR : APA ITU RELEVANSI DAN KONSISTENSI INTERNAL?   Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the relevance and internal consistency in the design and develop of human anatomy teaching materials using the thinking map. This research is an educational design research consisting of preliminary, prototyping and assessment. At preliminary stage, researcher doing activity of instructional analysis of human anatomy material. At the prototyping stage, researchers designed the prototype of anatomical material using thinking map. Then the prototype is judged by the expert.  Revisions are made on the basis of the expert's assessment. Human anatomical material on the topics: human cells, basic tissues, integument systems, skeletal systems, muscular systems, digestive systems, respiratory systems and reproductive systems used as a content thinking map. Product quality is determined from internal relevance and consistency. The aspect of relevance and internal consistency is determined by the validity the content and construct validity. Indicators contained in the content validity instrument are language, image, subject, curriculum, purpose, concept, constructivism. The construct validity indicators are: consistent, flexible, growing, integrative and reflective. The results showed that the validator assessed 55 thinking maps of human anatomical material that had been designed with a valid mean score. Revisions have been made to improve product consistency. Product thinking map is also done through a good development process. Based on the results and discussion of the research it can be concluded that the human anatomy teaching material has been obtained using a map of thought with good internal relevance and consistency. Broader test or large group test is required to improve product resistance to revisions.  Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui relevansi dan konsistensi internal dalam perancangan dan pengembangan bahan ajar anatomi manusia dengan menggunakan peta pemikiran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain pendidikan yang terdiri dari pendahuluan, prototyping dan penilaian. Prosedur penelitian pada tahap awal, peneliti melakukan aktivitas analisis instruksional bahan anatomi manusia. Pada tahap prototyping, peneliti merancang prototipe bahan anatomis dengan menggunakan peta pemikiran. Kemudian prototipe dinilai oleh ahli. Revisi dibuat atas dasar penilaian ahli. Materi anatomi manusia pada topik: sel manusia, jaringan dasar, sistem integumen, sistem rangka, sistem otot, sistem pencernaan, sistem pernapasan dan sistem reproduksidigunakan sebagai konten peta pemetaan. Kualitas produk ditentukan dari relevansi dan konsistensi internal. Aspek relevansi dan konsistensi internal ditentukan dengan teknik validitas isi dan validitas konstruk. Indikator yang terdapat dalam instrumen validitas konten adalah bahasa, gambar, subjek, kurikulum, tujuan, konsep, konstruktivisme. Indikator validitas konstruk adalah: konsisten, fleksibel, berkembang, integratif dan reflektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validator menilai 55 peta pemikiran bahan anatomi manusia yang telah dirancang dengan skor rata-rata yang valid. Revisi telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan konsistensi produk. Pemetaan pemikiran produk juga dilakukan melalui proses pengembangan yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar anatomi manusia telah diperoleh dengan menggunakan peta pemikiran dengan relevansi internal yang baik dan konsistensi. Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA MAHASISWA (LKM) BERBASIS INKUIRI TERBIMBING PADA MATERI KOROSI AbstractThis research aims to develop student worksheet of Basic Chemistry Practicum II on the topic at corrosion based on guided inquiry and investigate the feasibility of it’s implementation in the real classroom practice. This is a Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model where  12 active students of chemistry department involved at the implementation stage. Data was collected through interview, questionnaire of need analysis and questionnaires to seek the opinion from students, laboratory assistant and lecturer. It was revealed that the student worksheet was valid with score of validity of 97,8%, thus, applicable for investigation. Response of students, laboratory assistants and lecturers to the implementation of practicum using student worksheet which has been developed as a whole is very good. 47,92% student were strongly agreed about practicum relevancy to daily life, 50% agreed that inquiry questions are useful. 75% of assistants strongly agreed that worksheet can help students to design their own experiments and 25% agreed about demanded the ability of class management. 71,43% lecturers strongly agreed that worksheet can motivate students to be more active and 28,57% agreed that worksheet is effective to achieve the practicum objectives. Thus, the student worksheet is applicable to be utilized as one of the teaching materials.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKM Praktikum Kimia Dasar II berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi korosi dan menguji kelayakannya pada pelaksanaan praktikum. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian tahap implementasi adalah mahasiswa aktif pendidikan kimia berjumlah 12 orang. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari wawancara, angket analisis kebutuhan serta angket respon dari praktikan, asisten laboratorium dan dosen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata kelayakan LKM yang divalidasi tim ahli oleh dosen dan penilaian oleh asisten laboratorium adalah 97,8%, dan dapat dikategorikan sangat valid dan layak digunakan tanpa revisi. Respon praktikan, asisten laboratorium dan dosen terhadap pelaksanaan praktikum menggunakan LKM yang dikembangkan secara keseluruhan sangat baik. 47,92% responden menyatakan bahwa praktikum sangat relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, 50% setuju bahwa pertanyaan penyelidikan bermanfaat. 75% asisten laboratorium sangat setuju bahwa LKM mampu melatih praktikan merancang percobaan sendiri dan 25% asisten setuju bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum berbasis inkuiri menuntut kemampuan dalam mengelola kelas. Persentase rata-rata respon dosen adalah 71,43% sangat setuju bahwa LKM mampu memotivasi praktikan lebih aktif dan 28,57% setuju bahwa LKM efektif dalam mencapai tujuan praktikum. Dengan demikian, LKM yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to understand the increase in skill the process of science students with a guided inquiry model and performance assessment and the implementation of guided inquiry model and performance assessment to students of class XI IPA  Christian High School 1 Salatiga . Skills of the research process are studied consisting of observing, hypothesizing, questioning, applying concepts, communicating, and practicing with minimum criteria for psychomotor criteria for 73. The type of research used is classroom action research with data triangulation research technique, in the form of questionnaire instrument, interview sheet, observation sheet, student performance assessment result, and supporting data in the form of documentation. The results showed that the results of the students' science process skills experienced an increase in each cycle. Guided inquiry models also familiarize students to play an active role in all learning activities and practicum conducted by students, so that students not only understand the material but also skillfully using laboratory tools. Abstrak Peneliitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan model inkuiri terbimbing dan performance assessment serta penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing dan performance assessment pada siswa kelas XI IPA I SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga. Keterampilan proses sains yang diteliti terdiri dari keterampilan mengamati, berhipotesis, menanya, menerapkan konsep, berkomunikasi, dan melakukan praktikum dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimal untuk psikomotorik sebesar 73. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas dengan teknik penelitian triangulasi data, berupa instrumen angket, lembar wawancara, lembar observasi, hasil performance assessment siswa, dan data pendukung berupa dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus. Model inkuiri terbimbing juga membiasakan siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran dan praktikum yang dilakukan siswa, sehingga siswa tidak hanya memahami materi tetapi juga cakap menggunakan alat-alat laboratorium. Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN KETERAMPILAN METAKOGNITIF PADA KONSEP JAMURAbstractMetacognition involves critical thinking skills, reflective of the cognitive processes of learners who simultaneously monitor their learning success. This research is aimed to develop metacognitive skill instrument on the mushroom concept of class X students of SMA Negeri in South Tangerang. Development research method / Formative Research from van den Akker (2006) with cycle/spiral process: analysis, design, evaluation and revision, systematic reflection and documentation. The metacognitive skills instrument consists of 12 questions, with the construction of 3 high order thinking skill, open-ended, cognitive thinking questions with 9 questions of metacognitive skills (planning, monitoring, and evaluation). Instruments validated through expert judgment and trial test were limited to 38 students and obtained Cronbach Alpha value of 0.832 (high criterion). The instrument was then revised and  re-tested on 96 learners and obtained by Alpha Cronbach 0.746 (high category). The results of this study acquired an alternative method of metacognitive skills measurement of learners are integrated into the biology of learning in the classroom.AbstrakMetakogisi melibatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, reflektif terhadap proses kognitif peserta didik yang secara simultan memantau keberhasilan belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen keterampilan metakognitif pada konsep Jamur peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri di Tangerang Selatan. Metode penelitian pengembangann atau development research dari van den Akker (2006) dengan proses siklus/spiral: analisis, desain, evaluasi dan revisi, refleki sistematik dan dokumentasi. Instrumen keterampilan metakognitif berjumlah 12 pertanyaan, dengan konstruksi  3 pertanyaan kognitif berpikir tingkat tinggi, open ended disertai 9 pertanyaan keterampilan metakognitif (perencanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi). Instrumen divalidasi melalui expert judgment dan uji coba terbatas pada 38 peserta didik dan diperoleh nilai reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach 0.832 (kategori tinggi). Instrumen kemudian direvisi dan diuji coba kembali  pada 96 peserta didik dan  diperoleh nilai Alpha Cronbach 0.746 (kategori tinggi). Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh alternatif metode pengukuran keterampilan metakognitif peserta didik yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran biologi di kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan model perkuliahan fisiologi hewan yang diharapkan mampu membekali kemampuan rekonstruksi konsep bagi mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Strategi perkuliahan ditempuh melalui implementasi model tutorial berbasis komputer. Sebanyak 80 orang mahasiswa S1 calon guru biologi dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, 41 mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan model tutorial komputer, dan 39 mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan konvensional. Kemampuan rekonstruksi konsep diukur dengan membandingkan skor sebelum pembelajaran (pretes) dengan setelah implementasi model (postes) di antara kedua kelompok belajar. Selain itu, untuk mengungkap pandangan mahasiswa mengenai pengalaman belajarnya, seperangkat angket disebarkan kepada mahasiswa yang mengikuti model perkuliahan.  Efektivitas program perkuliahan dievaluasi dengan tes tertulis bentuk respon terbatas pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti program perkuliahan model tutorial komputer dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa dari kelompok konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan terjadi peningkatan  kemampuan rekonstruksi konsep pada kedua kelompok belajar, namun mahasiswa yang mengikuti perkuliahan model tutorial berbasis komputer menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok mahasiswa peserta perkuliahan konvensional. Mahasiswa menanggapi positif implementasi model tutorial berbasis komputer dalam perkuliahan fisiologi hewan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model tutorial berbasis komputer pada penelitian ini dinyatakan lebih efektif dan mampu  membekali mahasiwa calon guru biologi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan  rekonstruksi konsep.

Abstract

This study was conducted to reconstruct teaching material of particles of matter using context of characteristics of material. It refers to the Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER). The purpose of this study was to obtain a pre-conception of learners and scientist’s perspective to the concept of particles of matter, material characteristics, and relations between them; determine the design of teaching materials based onviews of nature of science; and find out an expert assessment of the design of teaching materials. The research data obtained in the form of the transcript of an interview 10 students of class VIII, text analysis results, the results of the validation indicators and the learning objectives of cognitive and affective aspects, validation results of the analysis of the concept, validation results of teaching materialsdesign and test results readability. Design of teaching material produced is (a) developed based on reflection from pre-conception of learners and the perspective of scientists; (b) adjusted to the cognitive level of learners (accessible); (3) developed by inserting aspects of nature of science (NOS); (4) using a sequence of teaching and learning of Science and Technology Literacy (STL) by adopting a learning phase ChemieimKontext (ChiK). The results of the validation of teaching materials to obtain an average value of CVI 0,9935. Abstract

Abstract The characteristics of learners in learning need to get the attention from the teacher. However, the measurement of self-efficacy has not been implemented by teacher, and instrument to measure these capabilities are not available, and teachers do not understand the importance of information about students' self efficacy. The main aim of this development research is to produce a tool or instrument ratings whivch are valid, reliable and practical to measure self-efficacy in learning chemistry in junior high school. The method used in this research is the development methods. The results of this research is the availability of a viable instrument which can used to measure students’ self-efficacy in learning chemistry in junior high school, which qualifies as a valid, reliable, and practical test. Keywords: self efficacy; chemistry learning Abstrak Karakteristik siswa dalam belajar perlu mendapatkan perhatian para guru. Namun, pengukuran self efficacy selama ini belum dilaksanakan oleh guru, dan instrumen  untuk mengukur kemampuan tersebut belum tersedia serta guru belum memahami pentingnya informasi tentang self efficacy siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan utama untuk menghasilkan alat atau instrumen penilaian yang valid, reliabel dan praktis untuk mengukur self efficacy dalam pembelajaran kimia di SMP.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  metode penelitian pengembangan. Hasil penelitian ini ialah tersedianya instrumen yang layak digunakan untuk mengukur self efficacy siswa dalam pembelajaran kimia di SMP, yang memenuhi persyaratan sebagai tes yang valid, reliabel, dan praktis.
