Abstract

This research will conduct set covering problem and analytical network process in determining the location of the swab test due to the outbreak of corona virus infection disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Bandung. The location of the swab test can also function as a location for fulfilling medical aids to the residents around the affected area. Solving the solution is done by developing a mathematical model consisting of numbers 1 and 0 in the form of integer linear programming with an output that is zero-one. The objective function is to minimize number of swab test location. From the results, it was found that the location of the swab test was chosen so that it could fulfill the affected areas in Bandung City. Furthermore, using the analytical network process approach, it is obtained 5 criteria, which are then weighted for each criterion, so the calculation results show that area Cicendo is a priority for the location of swab test.

Abstract

SMEs or small and medium enterprises currently have a very important position not only in employment, and the welfare of the community in the region, in many cases SMEs can stabilize the problem of social inequality. Therefore, SMEs are required to have good performance. There is a basic theory about financial literacy theory that argues that the behavior of people with a high level of financial literacy might depend on the prevalence of the two thinking styles according to dual-process theories: intuition and cognition. This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, entrepreneur’s motivation, industrial environment, and competitive strategy on the performance of small and medium enterprises. By classifying the result of previous research, this research found some propositions: (1) financial literacy has a significant effect on the performance of SMEs (2) entrepreneur’s motivation significantly influences the performance of SMEs (3) industrial environment significantly influences the competitive strategy (4) competitive strategies significantly influence SME performance (5) industrial environment significantly influences the performance of SMEs. This study using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique to analyze the data. The proposition as the result studies can be investigated empirically

Abstract

Freight transport enables economic growth, market connectivity, and access to the global supply chain systems which contribute to the societal progress and inclusive development of a country. However, it may undermine the sustainable operations by incurring external costs, inefficiency, and economic losses due to non-reliability, poor services, and information systems. In this research study, the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Sustainable Freight Transport Systems (SFTS) are discussed based on available literature review and standards of sustainability measurement in freight transport. Then, based on KPIs some of the scenario-based impediments are highlighted which hinder the performance of the freight transport in Pakistan for achieving sustainable development goals. The core impediments included are Strategic Determinants (SD), Information Systems (IS), Infrastructure Management Systems (IMS) and City Logistics (CL). The negative direct impacts of the key identified factors are also highlighted and linked with each scenario-based impediment. This research study would provide an opportunity for the stakeholders to get tangible idea for policy making and upgradation of the freight transport industry in the country. The highlighted implications will also be validated via expert surveys and Delphi-analysis in the future study.

Abstract

The concept of lean is originated in manufacturing industry. However, this concept also has been widely adopted in service industry, from airlines to retailers. There are several healthcares or hospitals in various countries that has implemented Lean. The hospital that has adopted lean, shown various improvements, such as increase on efficiency and flexibility, reduction cost and infections cases. It is important to have lean assessment to measure leanness level after implementing lean. Lean Assessment Tool is utilized to measure effectiveness and efficiency of lean implementation in a particular company. There are many studies on Lean Assessment Tool for manufacturing and service industry in general. However, Lean Assessment Tool that is specific for hospital is not yet available. Therefore this study aims to develop a Lean Assessment Tool (LAT) for healthcare. First, quantitative and qualitative dimensions and indicators are gathered from literature study. Proposed dimensions and indicators are then selected and validated using the Fuzzy Delphi method. There are seven quantitative dimensions, which are quality, time, internal transportation, employee involvement, cost, customer, and inventory. While, there are six qualitative dimensions, which are quality, process, employee involvement, vertical information system, technology upgrading, and management commitment. Measurement method by using fuzzy logic to calculate leanness level for both quantitative and qualitative indicator is then applied. Leanness level will be mapped using radar plots.

Abstract

The supplies of apartments in Surabaya keep increasing, which was predicted from 2018 to at least 2022. However, this supplies were contradicted with the demand from market, which is stagnant or decreased. The present research tries to measure the consumers' behavior intention towards the purchasing apartment. The well famous Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is used in this research as the measurement model. Furthermore, the TPB is extended with several factors. The extended TPB consists of seven factors namely: Attitude (ATT), Subjective Norms (SN), Perceived Behavior Control (PBC), Perception (P), Lifestyle (L), and the Behavior Intention (BI). Five hypotheses are proposed. The analysis on this research is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with structural equation model (SEM). The factors are instrumented through questionnaires. The questionnaires are distributed through offline and online sample with purposive sampling method. In more detail, the sampling will be taken from marketing events, brokers, and building management and the 300 respondents are targeted. The expected result from this research can be used as references for developers, consumers, and brokers in order to enhance the knowledge regarding the consumers' perception. From the results of the analysis of several factors from the Extended Theory of Planned Behavior mentioned above, it is known that the factors that are proven to influence consumer behavior intentions when making apartment purchases are 3 factors including the following: Attitude (ATT), Perception (P) and Lifestyle (L) while two other factors Subjective Norms (SN) and Perceived Behavior Control (PBC) are proven not to influence consumer behavior intentions when making apartment purchases

Abstract

Nowadays internet traffic using cellular telecommunication network is increasing very rapidly. Good LTE (Long-Term Evolution) cellular network performance is very important for any telecommunication operator to maintain customer satisfaction. Poor network performance can also cause customers to switch to other operators. One of the indicator variables in observing the radio quality of the LTE cellular network is Penetration using 64QAM Modulation. 64QAM modulation can transmit higher bitrates with lower power usage. 64QAM modulation will be used if the Channel Quality Index (CQI) condition is very good. Network quality improvement can be done by adding new BTS or optimizing existing BTS. The addition of new BTS will increase coverage, quality, and capacity but cost is high, and the time required to build BTS is also long, while improving network quality by optimizing BTS can be done by purchasing LTE features and costs incurred still relatively low. In increasing the penetration of using 64QAM modulation, it is necessary to analyze the other variables. The traditional method to improve this Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requires an expert and professional but is often inaccurate and spends a lot of time finding the factors that cause it. To solve this problem, Random forest method is proposed. By knowing the variables that have a significant effect on network quality, the capital costs incurred by cellular operators for improving network quality will be more effective and efficient because the capital costs invested only focus on influencing variables such as purchasing LTE network features only done for those related to these variables. The results of this study, we make CQI improvement flow based on the classification of the random forest method that produces feature/variable importance.

Abstract

The aims of Development for the welfare of the community, but often this development affects changes in environmental arrangements around the area which are outside the development goals. Environmental changes due to unplanned human activities have a negative impact on other social groups. Environmental impacts have the meaning of changes that can be natural or unnatural. This article aims to describe the impact of the construction of the Gunawangsa apartment, which is located around the Asemrowo River, Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The informants in this study are people who live in the Asemrowo strenkali which is directly adjacent to the Gunawangsa Apartment Building, abaout 22 families. The results of the study found that the Gunawangsa apartment building which has been going on for 3 years has not felt the impact of significant changes in improving the family economy. The community still feels that socio-economic life is not much different from before development. The results of the research also found that the very high position of the building had hindered the catch of the television signal so that people had difficulty accessing the signal and could not comfortably enjoy television programs that were previously enjoyed well

Abstract

Abstract―Instability often occurs in production planning, which is also known as schedule nervousness. This phenomenon triggers companies to make various efforts in minimizing the level of instability. In this study, the author tries to look at the schedule nervousness problems of the aviation catering industry in determining the amount of production planning to increase profits. In the context of schedule nervousness, there is a very high difference between the value of the temporary demand which is known 10 hours before with the fix order when the airline has closed the check-in process. This phenomenon makes the aviation catering company must bear the loss in value of the difference in demand that occurs. In one month the company must bear the loss of at least 500 packs of food. Based on those problems, the author tries to make an optimization model with linear programming by determining the number of orders for each airline and class of passengers at a certain service level to produce minimal inventory with large profits. The completion of the model using Lingo software is running well and has produced an optimal solution. The potential cost reduction carried out in the first week of January 2020, has provided the best scenario with the potential for cost savings of the production process around the production cost of around Rp 53 million or about 23%.

Abstract

Several previous studies explained that the implementation of an integrated information system needed to be realized at Perum BULOG because the old system has not been integrated. This was also realized by the management of Perum BULOG by carrying out one of its long-term plans, namely carrying out the implementation of ERP system in 2020. On the other hand, ERP is a complex system because ERP systems often adds more difficulties to the implementation process. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the analysis of ERP implementation at Perum BULOG to see how ERP users will accept this technology using the extended TAM 3 approach. Outer Model and Inner Model are used to test and analyze data from research instruments using the SMART PLS 3.0. Based on the research findings, it can be seen from 12 research hypotheses, 9 research hypotheses were accepted and 3 were rejected. It is known that perceived usefulness is found only factor in system- technology ERP and perceived ease of use which have a positive and significant correlation. Meanwhile, the perceived ease of use factor was found only the organization process characteristic and system-technology ERP factor that had a positive and significant correlation. Furthermore, the attitude factor of ERP user is influenced by the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Where the ERP user attitude factor is able to encourage behavioral intention and have implication for use and user satisfaction.
