Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the profile of generalization thinking, simplifying problems, and analytic thinking of mathematical olympiad students in solving algebraic problems. The research subjects were 4 mathematical olympiad students at SMPN 2 Jember. Tests and interviews are used to collect data. Based on the analysis of the data, the results of the study show that the mathematical olympiad students can solve the given problems using non-procedural methods. They prefer to use a more effective and efficient way. In process of simplifying problems, the students can represent problems into mathematical models using algebraic forms. In making mathematical models, the students use variables as a form of example. In this study, there are still students who use symbols as variables that showing those students are still at the stage of iconic thinking according to J.Bruner's learning theory. In the analytical thinking process students are able to solve problems using the methods they obtain from the results of their analysis of the given problems. In the generalization thinking process students can find and apply existing rules or patterns to solve the given problem, even though there are still students who have not received the material. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop an online interactive learning media use assisted Schoology Desmos web for quadratic function graph. This is the kind of research the research development. The process of developing this learning media by using a customized Thiagarajan model or 4-D model. This development model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Trial subject of this research is students of class XI IPA 3 at SMAN Jenggawah with a total of 33 students. The results of the learning media validation in the valid criteria with a correlation coefficient of 0.94 including the "Very High" category. The practical level is seen from user response questionnaire obtained 83,5% including the “Very Good” category. While the effectiveness level is based on the learning test result obtained 81,82% of 33 students scored above the KKM. Based on the results of the data analysis, the results can be obtained that the online interactive learning media use assisted Schoology Desmos web for quadratic function graph has met valid, practical, and effective criteria. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore ethnomatematics in citrus farmers’ activities to make teaching materials for students in the form of Students Worksheets (LKPD). The type of this studywas qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Observation, interview, and documentation used as the data collection methods. The subjects of this study were three people in Pesanggaran Subdistrict. Ethnomatematics which was examined covering some activities such as calculate, measure, and design. This study focused on determining the areas, the amount estimation of trees based on planting distance, determining the amount of fertilizer based on trees and fertilizing period, and determining the incurred costs. Abstract

ABSTRACT. Mathematics is a lesson related to numbers and geometry. Students often have difficulty in solving problems, so that in this research at analysis of error in grade X students of Jenggawah Senior High School to solving the mathematical problem exponent function material, based on the conceptual error consisting of 8 indikators, principle error 6 indikators, and 1 operation error reviewed from gender. The intended gender is male and famale gender. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach, the subjects in this research were male and famale students those taken randomly using the snowball sampling method, so that 4 subjects were analyzed. Students are given questions and then interviewed to get more accurate information. The result of the research show that male students experience errors in several types of concept indikators, principal, and operation. Furthermore, famale student only experience error in indikators of concept and principle. On operation errors, famale students do not experience error. Abstract

This study was purposed to describe the students’ spatial visual ability in solving PISA standard math questions in Shape and Space content viewed from van Hiele's level of geometrical thinking. The research participants were 7 students who fulfilled each level of van Hiele's geometrical thinking starting from level 0 to level 3 in class XI IA 4 Glagah 1 Public Senior High School. Data collection methods were test and interviews. Based on data analysis, the results of the study show that students who are on level 3 van Hiele geometry levels, on levels between 2-3, and level 2 meet all characteristics of visual abilities. Meanwhile, students who are on levels between 1-2, level 1, levels between 0-1, and level 0 do not all meet the characteristics of spatial visual abilities. Characteristics of students' spatial visual abilities in imagination are the most dominant characteristics (most fulfilled) among the others, while the use of concepts (conceptualization) and using several ideas to find new ways are the most difficult characteristics to fulfill. Abstract

All graphs in this paper are unorientated, simple, connected, and planar graphs. Super ℋ-decomposition antimagic total labeling on a graph is a bijective function that fulfills for every two neighboring isomorphic subgraphs (just share vertex elements and minimumly share one vertex) and , , where for each , , is a subgraph of graph that contains vertexs and edges , , , . Next, it is called coloring if many of different weights is at its minimum. In this paper, we will find the existence of chromatic numbers of super ℋ-decomposition antimagic total coloring on Prism Graph and subdivision graph of Prism graph. In this research will also related with high order thinking skills with six aspects as indicators. Those aspects are Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analysing, Evaluating, and Creating. The results of this research are four theorems about super ℋ-decomposition antimagic total coloring on Prism Graph and subdivision of Prism graph and related with high order thinking skills. Abstract

Based on the PISA results, the average Indonesian mathematical literacy score is 375. The average score is still below the average international math literacy score of 500. The purpose of this research is to describe students’ mathematics literacy ability based on mathematical ability in resolving the problem of PISA change and relationship content. Change and Relationship content is closely related to function and algebra. Determination of the level of student literacy skills seen from the fulfillment of level 1 indicators to level 6. The subject of this research were 33 students of X MIPA 7 grouped based on mathematical ability students with low, moderate and high. The results showed that maximal low-ability math students reached level 2. For students with moderate mathematical abilities the maximum was able to reach level 4 and maximal high-ability math students reached level 4. Abstract

Ethnomatematics is a science that connects mathematics with culture in society. The purpose of this research was to describe the results of ethnomatematic exploration of post-harvest activities of tobacco farmers in the Pendalungan community and to make their products in the form of student worksheets. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods used are observation and interviews. Ethnomatematics in tobacco post-harvest activities in the form of counting, measuring and designing activities. In the process of nyujen (submission) of tobacco leaves arises the mathematical concept of comparable values ​​and measurements when determining the length of the rope, determining the length of the bamboo, and determining the distance between leaves. In the process of making patterns of drying tobacco leaves, the concept of design and concept of comparable value emerged. In the fermentation process, tobacco leaves were observed in the concept of calculating when determining the length of fermentation time, and in the process of sorting tobacco leaves it was observed the concept of the ratio of turning value when determining the number of leaves per class in 1 kg. The results of the study are product teaching materials in the form of student worksheets. Student worksheets are intended for seventh grade Middle School / MTs students. Abstract

Ethnomatematics is the application of mathematics in cultural life. The purpose of this study was to describe ethnomatematics of making woven bamboo handicrafts in the village of Gintangan Banyuwangi. The things obtained in this study were changed in the form of geometric teaching materials, namely the Test Problem Package with the topic of Ethnomatematics. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods used are observation and interviews. The subjects of the study were 2 people, namely a foreman making woven bamboo crafts, kukusan, ereg, tenong, and nyiru and a maker of bamboo woven kukusan, ereg, tenong, and nyiru. Ethnomatematics emerged when the woven craftsmen carried out activities to measure, calculate and design. When the process of measuring the thickness of the bamboo sharpener comes the measurement concept using meters (m). During the process of calculating the drying time of bamboo and the amount of bamboo sharpener a comparative concept of value appears. During the design process, the concept of quadrilateral and number sequences emerged. The results of the study are geometry teaching materials in the form of a test test package. The question test package is intended for class VIII middle school students. This Question Test Package consists of 4 C5 and 1 C6 questions Keywords: Ethnomatematics, Bamboo Woven Crafts, Geometry

Abstract

Abstract This Research is development from vertex r-dynamic coloring for every simple and connected graph. Vertex r-dynamic coloring of graph G such that the neighbors of any vertex v receive at least min different colors. The r-dyanamic chromatic number written as . In this research we use edge corona product graph. Edge corona product of G and H as denoted by Let G and H is simple and connected graph, is obtained by taking graphs H as many copies edge of graph G and connected graphs H on two vertices edge of G. In this research will also related with creative thinking skills with four aspects as indicator. Those aspects are Fluency, Flexibility, Orisinality, and Elaboration. The results of this research is theorem about vertex r-dynamic coloring on edge corona product and related with creative thinking skills.
