Abstract

TransJakarta was a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Jakarta. It was designed to provide Jakartacitizens with a fast public transportation system to help reduce rush hour traffic. After operating more thanone decade, many suggestions and critics were given related to service quality. IPA and PGCV methods wereapplied to determine which service attributes should be improved and their priorities. In this research, eightservice attributes were identified as critical attributes (on first quadrant of IPA diagram). The higher value ofPGCV index indicated the priority level of attributes. Based on its priority level, the order were 1) easinessof giving suggestions, 2) ticket queue, 3) easiness of complaints, 4) the facilities for passengers with specialneeds, 5) employees appearance, 6) transportation cost, 7) accessibility, and 8) the number of bus.

Abstract

National industries need to anticipate the numerous environmental issues in international trade, in order to compete with other countries. Ministry of Industry Republic of Indonesia has responded that issue by putting green industry as an important part of Master Plan of National Industry Development 2015 – 2035. To encourage industry in implementing green industry principle, since 2010 Ministry of Indsutry has conducted Green Industry Award. Although each year, there is an increasing number of award receivers, but comparing with the total numbers of industries in Indonesia, the percentage of award receivers is so small. Therefore, this research is conducted to measure the environmental performance of several industries in Indonesia in order to know whether industries are ready to implement green industry standard. Data were collected in 6 manufacturing industries, based on the green industry self-assessment form released by ministry of industry. From the sixth industries which were evaluated, there are two industries that show low commitment to the environment because their scores are below 50. There is one industry categorized as green industry level 1 (score=56.5). Meanwhile there are two industries categorized as level 3 (score= 77.1 and 79.8) and one industry reached level 4 (score 82.1).Keywords: green industry,environment performance, self-assesment

Abstract

Kota Bandung saat ini mengalami pertumbuhan penduduk mencapai 3% setiap tahunnya, sehingga kebutuhan akan transportasi umum sangat tinggi serta tingkat kemacetan yang timbul semakin tinggi pula. Kemacetan yang panjang berdampak pada penurunan kewaspadaan dan timbulnya risiko kecelakaan karena waktu berkendara yang relatif lebih beragam. Menyadari akan risiko kecelakaan yang diakibatkan oleh kelelahan maka diperlukan pengukuran kelelahan pada pengemudi bus di kota Bandung yang belum pernah dikaji. Penggunaan alat ukur untuk mendeteksi kelelahan saat ini sangat beragam sehingga diperlukan alat ukur terbaik untuk mendeteksi kelelahan pengemudi bus di kota Bandung. Pengukuran kelelahan menggunakan indikator variabilitas denyut jantung dengan menggunakan alat Polar RS800CX (RMSSD dan LF/HF) dan skala tingkat kelelahan dengan kuesioner Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Kuesioner VAS menunjukkan sebanyak 29,9% pengemudi bus Damri mengalami peningkatan kondisi kelelahan dan Polar RS800CX menunjukkan 46% peningkatan kondisi kelelahan. Kriteria selang interval waktu berkendara menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Pada penelitian ini, kuesioner VAS mampu mendeteksi kelelahan dibanding alat ukur Polar RS800CX. Korelasi alat ukur antara kuesioner VAS dengan Polar RS800CX (parameter rasio LF/HF) sebesar 0.025 yang menunjukkan nilai signifikan dan kedua alat tersebut mempunyai kekuatan yang sama dalam mengukur kelelahan. Setengah set data pengemudi menunjukkan peningkatan kondisi kelelahan interval waktu berkendara 2 hingga 2,5 jam sehingga pemberlakuan jam istirahat pada waktu tertentu setelah mengemudi selama 1 ritase sangat dianjurkan. Jam kerja yang tidak berimbang antara waktu mengemudi pagi dan siang berpontensi timbulnya peningkatan kondisi kelelahan sehingga pihak Damri sebaiknya mengkaji ulang pembagian waktu mengemudi.

Abstract

This research presents job analysis and evaluation in order to design salary structure of a textile company. Preliminary interview, questionnaire, observation and focus group discussions were applied for job analysis. In addition, a point factor system and analytical hierarchy process methods were used for doing job evaluation. Job description and job specification and basic salary of each job were produced in this study.

Abstract

In order to facing an increasingly competitive world of manufacturing industry, it is necessary to select appropriate suppliers to produce quality products at competitive prices. This requires producers to make efficiency. Supplier selection is one way to make efficiency by considering several factors. In this research, the ideal supplier selection is made on rubber component using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method with three criteria factors that are considered important by the company such as, production factor (48%), quality (40%), and price (12%). Furthermore, this study shows The TRHI as suppliers with the largest value of 51.6% compared to other suppliers such as IKP (24.8%) and IRC (23.6%).

Abstract

PT WLS is a company that produce solid surface product. The variance of shape and design that canbe produced is very high and can be customized to the demand. The problem that occur in this company isthat sometimes the product fractured during delivery and production. To cope this problem, an experimentdesign with General Factorial Design is used to determine the best material composition that can increase thetoughness of the material. Two factors are determined to be the main factors that determine the toughnessof the materials which is the amount of hardener and the type of material used. Charpy test was used todetermine the toughness of the samples with a 55 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm dimension. Based on the analysisdone, the amount of catalyst, the type of material used, and the interaction between those two factors have asignificant effect to the materials toughness value and to get the optimal result for a 100 mm x 100 mm x 9mm sample, it was advised to use 3 ml of hardener and Al(OH)3 with HWF specifications.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) as a part of the national industrial sector has a critical influence in developing economic, social and political state of Indonesia. Therefore, the government has issued many policies, programs, and activities to enhance the development of SMEs. The absence of an online information system that shows the development of the SME cause the government has difficulty in overseeing the development of SMEs. Difficulties experienced by the government due to lack of information also in line with Law No. 3 of 2014 on Industry, precisely on Article 64 which stated that the industry is obligated to submit industry data that are accurate, complete, and timely periodically to the Minister, governors and regents/mayors. Therefore, the industry, in particular Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), requires a web-based information system that will be a tool that can be used by industry to facilitate the reporting of industrial activities. Therefore, this research aimed to develop a web- based information system for SMEs Sentra Textiles and textile products (TPT) in West Java. The system will contain information about the condition and position of SMEs Sentra Textiles and textile products (TPT) in Bandung, West Java. In addition to preparing an information system, this research will conduct an analysis of the current condition of SMEs to be taken into consideration in making the SME development strategy.Keywords: evaluation, monitoring, center, information systems

Abstract

Electronic waste (e-waste) has become environmental issue in Indonesia. Several tons of e-waste was generated each year. Available landfills will not be sufficient to accommodate e-waste that people produce. Waste bank become one of many solutions to overcome this problem. Implementation of pilot project in waste bank is needed to see the prospects of e-waste collection in waste bank. Thus, the goal of this research is to design a value chain system for e-waste collection prospect in waste bank and system simulation as the foundation for implementing a pilot project. Simulations on 2 scenarios had been done to determine profitability of e-waste collection’s pilot project in waste bank. Based on simulation, it is known that there is profit generated from e-waste recycling process for 2 scenarios. Ranges of profit for 2 months are Rp. 7.963.879 - Rp. 40.447.047 for scenario 1 and Rp. 7.952.394 – 40.435.561 for scenario 2. If only PCB component that could be recycled, profit for 2 months still can be generated in the range Rp. 689.964 – Rp. 6.398.486 for scenario 1 and Rp. 678.478 – Rp. 6.387.000 for scenario 2. Thus, implementation of e-waste collection’s pilot project in waste bank is profitable.

Abstract

UD.XYZ is a company that produce accessories for car. UD. XYZ have a factory that produce car accessories with small size like a safety belt accessories, car pillow, and tissue case. This research will be focus to analyze postural stress risk for worker that produce car accessories. This research is based on the complaints of workers who feel that some parts of their body sick and stiff because the work is a job that has a repetitive movement with almost the same position every time. The posture of the worker will be observed to determine whether the posture has a dangerous risk or not. The method used is the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment that will assess the worker's posture from the waist to the head. Research indicates that the worker's posture score is between 3 to 5 where the score is assessed to suggest that further investigation of posture is necessary. Giving a small desk to the worker and also socializing about good posture while working helps to improve the score from worker posture to 2 to 3 which means that posture can be used and minimize postural stress on the workers.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the production is a must knowledge in a manufacture company, because it is closelylinked to the success level of a company, if effectiveness reaching high level, it will lead to be successful interms of meeting production targets. It is also happened at PT Beiersdorf Indonesia which requires method tomeasure the effectiveness of production in their companies, particularly in Elastoplast production division.PT Beiersdorf Indonesia requires certain method IPC computerized checklist which the system can giveinformation related to the evaluation of the effectiveness of production. Based upon these problems, it is clearlystated that they need to use innovation in Effectiveness Level Measurement Information System Production.This information system is designed to help the all involved employees the process, documenting, and directlycontrols the activity of production. in this study, by creating the new system will help the company to conductan evaluation of the production process.
