Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora (JISH) is a journal that uses a double-blind peer review model that can be accessed online. The purpose of JISH is to publish a journal containing quality articles that will be able to contribute thoughts from a theoretical and empirical perspective in society and humanities at a regional, national, and global scale. The writings at JISH will significantly contribute to critical thinking in the area of society and humanities. The scope of the fields contained in JISH covers the following areas: social work, social welfare, social change, and social policy; humanism and human rights; corporate governance, and community studies; crosscultural and multiculturalism studies; population, and development studies; ethics, and intergroup relations; war, conflict, and international relations; linguistics, literature, and media studies; performing arts (music, theatre, and dance); studies of inequality (class, race and gender studies); and other related areas. Articles published on research results and literature review with acceptable research methodologies, qualitative studies, quantitative studies, or a combination of both, statistical analysis, case studies, field research, and historical studies. JISH received manuscripts from various related circles, such as relevant researchers, professors, students, policy-makers, scientists, and others.

Abstract

Humor tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan, karena perilaku manusia sering menimbulkan kekonyolan yang mengundang senyum dan tawa. Humor bisa sebuah persitiwa, bisa juga sikap hidup. Humor tidak hanya tumbuh dalam kehidupan nyata, tetapi tumbuh dan mengalir juga dalam cerita, imajinasi, dan sastra. Humor juga dapat ditemukan dalam Cerita Panji, terutama dalam Serat Kanda dan Cerita Djajakusuma. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serangkaian material berupa teks humor dalam cerita Panji. Melalui uraian deskriptif diharapkan tujuan penelitian dan penafsiran data dapat tersampaikan dengan baik. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan riset naratif, di mana cerita panji diambil dari dokumen Serat Kanda dan kisah Djajajusuma. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyajikan temuan humor dalam dialog, peristiwa dan sikap tokoh. Penyebabnya adalah kontradiksi peristiwa atau keadaan dan paradoks sikap yang diperagakan tokoh, misalnya dalam keadaan tegang (perang) menjadi satu kesatuan dengan peristiwa romantis.

Abstract

This paper aims to contrast the translation of two machine translation systems, Google Translate and Bing Translator, in translating the lexeme in news articles. The approach used in scrutinizing the lexeme's translation correspondence in this study is systemic functional linguistics, especially in both experiential and logical structures. This study was carried out through descriptive comparative analysis. This study's data were 40 constituents that were taken from six BBC World news articles randomly selected. A thorough analysis demonstrates that the two machine translation systems can recognize the three functions of that, i.e., Head, post-modifier, and conjunction. The highest emerging function is post-modifier by 19 times (47.5%), followed by the conjunction function by 17 times (42.5%) on the first machine translation system and 18 times (45%) on the second one. The lowest emerging function is Head by four times (10%) on the first machine translation system and three times (7.5%) on the second one. Furthermore, due to the elliptical variation of that as a relative pronoun and the translation variation of that as a post-determiner, it concludes that the translation outputs of Google Translate are more accurate, semantically acceptable, creative, and contextual than those of Bing Translator.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan harus dilaksanakan secara terpadu, terprogram, terarah dan konsisten. Kemudian pelayanan kepada masyarakat diberikan dengan tepat, cepat, murah, terbuka, sederhana dan mudah dilaksanakan. Semua ini dilakukan untuk memberikan kepuasan kepada masyarakat.  Maka penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengukur Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat pada Dinas Penanaman Modal Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu dan Tenaga Kerja (DPMPTSP dan NAKER) Kota Pangkalpinang. Indeks kepuasan ini akan digunakan sebagai dasar dalam membuat dan menetapkan kebijakan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, pengukuran dengan indeks kepuasan masyarakat dan spider web. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan hasil survei IKM dengan sembilan unsur, diperoleh nilai unsur pelayanan yang memiliki nilai tertinggi adalah unsur kepastian biaya (U8), kemudian unsur biaya/tarif (U4), dan unsur penanganan pengaduan layanan (U9). Sedangkan unsur terendah adalah unsur kecepatan waktu (U3). Hasil analisa kepuasan masyarakat di Dinas Penanaman Modal Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu dan Tenaga Kerja Kota Pangkalpinang dikonversi dalam Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat unit pelayanan termasuk ke dalam kategori B (baik).

Abstract

Abstract This purpose of the research is to determine the effect of work experience, professional skeptism, and time pressure on fraud detection in BPKP (Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan), Central Java. This research is a quantitative descriptive study where the questionares is used as a research instrument. Saturated sampling technique is used in order to obtain 45 samples of internal auditor as respondents. Multiple Linear Analysis is used as analysis technique, includes : validity test, reability test, classic assumption test, hypothesis test. The result of this study indicate that work experience and professional skeptism has a significant positive effect on fraud detection, but time pressure has a negative significant effect on fraud detection in BPKP (Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan), Central Java. Abstract

Survei Wahid Foundation dan LSI (2017) menunjukkan adanya penguatan terhadap intoleransi politik. Satu faktor yang memperkuat intoleransi politik adalah religiusitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) memaparkan pengaruh religiusitas sebagai prediktor terhadap intoleransi politik. 2) memaparkan efek kepercayaan politik dalam memoderasi variabel religiusitas sebagai prediktor intoleransi politik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 85 Mahasiswa. Sampling menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria subjek beragama islam, berstatus mahasiswa aktif, dan berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara religiusitas terhadap intoleransi politik (t hitung = -2,490 ; p<0,05 ; R-Square = 0,070). Sedangkan kepercayaan politik sebagai variabel moderator berhasil memperkuat pengaruh religiusitas terhadap intoleransi politik (R-Square = 0,144). Kesimpulannya bahwa keseluruhan uji hipotesis terbukti sehingga H1a dan H1b diterima.

Abstract

Fraud prevention is needed for companies so that fraud does not occur. This is influenced by the attitude of professionalism and independence possessed by internal auditors. This study aims to analyze the effect of professionalism and independence on the prevention of fraud by using a moderating variable that is the ethical climate-egoism. Data obtained from employees at PT. X which is engaged in the pharmaceutical field. Samples obtained by the saturation sampling method is 60 samples. The results show that professionalism has a positive effect on fraud prevention, while independence has a negative effect on fraud prevention. Ethical climate-egoism as a moderating variable strengthens the relationship between professionalism and independence with fraud.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is one of the determinants of the survival of a company. Service quality is an important factor for companies, especially for companies engaged in services. Service quality has a close relationship with customer satisfaction. Satisfaction will be felt maximally by the customer, if the customer gets more than his expectations. Satisfied customers, they will give a positive response. This study aims to broadly improve the quality of Indonesian DigIs services, in the hope that consumers' desires and needs can be achieved and in line with their expectations of management perceptions. The use of Servqual and Kano methods is expected to later identify the GAP between customer needs and needs that must be improved and the technical response that must be carried out by management, so that customer satisfaction is expected to increase the quality of Indonesian DigIs services so that the company can grow rapidly.This research began with interviews and distributing questionnaires to 50 consumer respondents when getting responses about Indonesian DigIs services used to test validity and reliability. Service attributes consist of 30 items using the Servqual method consisting of 5 dimensions, namely tangibles, reliability, empathy, assurance, and responsiveness. After distributing questionnaires, the next step is to do data processing with GAP calculations to determine customer satisfaction with the quality attributes of Indonesian DigIs services. Then processed using Kano method.Priority attributes to be repaired and improved by Indonesian DigIs companies to be in accordance with the wishes and needs of customers based on VoC (Voice of Customer) through Servqual and Kano methods is the first priority in the tangible dimension is the neat appearance of employees who need to be improved again, if necessary uniformed ( wearing dresscode). The first priority in the reability dimension is the security of the system that is operated to be further enhanced by maintaining the confidentiality of the consumer database and security in operation. The first priority in the dimensions of responsiveness, is the speed of officers in providing services should management provide training in both soft skills and hard skills that can support the speed of employees in providing services. The main priority in the assurance dimension, namely the officer has the knowledge and ability to provide information, in this case the management should provide additional training that can support the knowledge of the service officers. While the main priority on empathy dimensions, is about providing information and instructions on how to operate the system clearly, the management should conduct an SOP evaluation, so that the operation of the system can run better. The proposal to improve Indonesian DigIs services according to customer desires and needs based on VoC (Voice of Customer) using Servqual and Canoeing methods is the improvement or evaluation of SOPs, reviewing facilities and infrastructure (focused on room facilities) and providing additional training to support HR performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang Tata cara Perkawinan adat suku Timor dan nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya, Studi di Desa Oebaki Kecamatan Noebeba Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti tentang adat perkawinan suku Timor yang tetap berjalan ditengah-tengah perkembangan jaman moderen. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana tata cara perkawinan adat suku Timor dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung didalamnya, serta perubahan yang terjadi dalam tata cara perkawinan seiring dengan perkembangan jaman. Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan tata cara perkawinan adat Suku Timor dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung didalamnya, serta perubahan yang terjadi dalam tata cara perkawinan seiring dengan perkembangan jaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunanakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi,  wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validasi yang digunakan untuk menguji kebenaran data menggunakan trianggulasi sumber penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian adalah masyarakat Suku Timor yang berada di Desa Oebaki masih terus melaksanakan upacara perkawinan sesuai nilai yang sudah diturunkan oleh nenek moyang meskipun ada beberapa perubahan pada tahap upacara yang mengalami perubahan seiring dengan perkembangan jaman. Kata Kunci : Tata cara perkawinan, Nilai-nilai Perkawinan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komitmen organisasi, kapabilitas terhadap kecenderungan fraud dengan variabel gaya kepemimpinan sebagai pemoderasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan data primer dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi sampel sebanyak 97 responden yang dihitung dengan teknik slovin sampling. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah Aparatur sipil negara di pemerintah kota Salatiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda dan teknik regresi moderasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel komitmen organisasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kecenderungan fraud, variabel kapabilitas berpengaruh positif terhadap kecenderungan fraud sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan memperlemah hubungan komtimen organisasi dan hubungan kapabilitas terhadap kecenderungan fraud.Kata kunci: Komitmen Organisasi, Kapabilitas, Gaya Kepemimpinan, Kecenderungan Fraud.

Abstract

Poor family financial management is commonly found in Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Kecamatan Suruh Kabupaten Semarang. Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) with its activity called Pertemuan Peningkatan Kemampuan Keluarga (P2K2) have learning outcomes in the form of behavior change, one of them is about family financial management. In P2K2 there are internal and external factors that can affect Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of companion role and learning motivation to financial management behavior change of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) partially or simultaneously. The type of research is quantitative research. The results showed there is an effect between companion role and learning motivation to financial management behavior change of Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Kecamatan Suruh Kabupaten Semarang.
