Abstract

The study aims to determine the concentration of hormones grown atonic to the growth and yield  varieties of Palu Valley. The research was conducted in Bulupontu Jaya Sub-Village, Sidera Village, Biromaru Sub-district, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This study used Randomized Block Design consisting of 4 treatment levels: A1 = 0.5 ml / L water, A2 = 1 ml / L water, A3 = 1.5 ml / L water, and A4 = 2, 0 ml / L water.All treatments were repeated 3 (three) times, so there were 4 treatments each time 3 replicates = 12 experimental units.The results showed that the atonic concentration of 2.0 ml / L water had significant effect on the growth and the best onion crop yields indicated by the average plant height of 23.17 cm,average number of leaves 24.40 strands, number of tiller 5.67 fruit, total dry weight of crop 1.70 gram, number of tubers per hump 5.40 fruit, tuber weight per hill 25.48 gram, weight per bulb 3.35 gram and tuber yield per hectare 3.77 ton.ha-1.

Abstract

Palu fried onion is one of the leading commodity in Palu. Unlike the other onions from outside of Palu city, fried onions from Palu, Sigi, and even Donggala have a unique taste and aroma. This researchwas aimed to find out the Break Even Point of  Fried Onions business at      Sal-Han SMI. The research was conducted for 2 months from March to April 2017 at Sal-Han SMI. Respondents were 3 persons, Owners of Sal-Han SMI and 2 permanent employees. Data analysis  using is the Break Even Point Analysis with 5 types of packaging, which is packing 60 gram, packing 100 gram, packing 120 gram, packing 200 gram and packing 500 gram. The results showed that Break Even Point for packing of 60 gram was achieved on the production volume of 185 packs,at that point obtained revenue of IDR 2,960,000.The Break Even Point for 100 gr of packaging were achieved on the production volume of 221 packs, at that point obtained revenue of IDR 5,304,000. The Break Even Point for 120 gram of packaging were achieved on the production volume of 162 packs,at that point obtained revenue of IDR 4,860,000. The Break Even Point for 200 gram of packaging is achieved on the production volume of 120 packs,at that point obtained revenue of IDR 5,760,000. The Break Even Point for 500 gram of packaging is achieved on the production volume of 36 packs, at that point obtained revenue of IDR 4,320,000.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect several of tuba root extract concentrationson the intensity of the attacks walang rice pest (Leptocorisa acuta) and rice production. This research was conducted in the village of Wosu, District Bungku West, Morowali District, in December 2015 to March 2016. The study used an experimental trial designs using completely randomized design (CRD) with tuba root extract consists of 5 treatments and 3 repetitions, which consists of tuba root extract concentration without any concentration treatment (control), the concentration of 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% / liter water / plot, after it were applied to each plot observations already prepared. The spraying was done three times i.e. at the age of 62 days, aged 76 and 90 days. Interfal observations carried out at walang sangit intensity of attacks carried out on every 3 days after application. Based on the analysis HSD test the level of 5%, indicating that the treatment of several concentrations of tuba root extract can affect the intensity and reduce the level of L. acuta attack, whereas the concentration of tuba root extract with a concentration of  4% / liter water / plot can suppress the attack L. acuta and increase rice production by 95%.

Abstract

This research is aimed to study the diversity of Arthropod with different altitude. The research was conducted on farmers' clove plantation in Oncone Raya Village, South Tinombo Subdistrict, ParigiMoutong. Arthropod samples were identified at the Plant Disease Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, from May to July 2016. This study      used two treatments with different heights of 640meters (m) above sea level (asl) and 1,700 m asl, using two trap techniques ie traps Traps and the trap of malease, with sampling 8 times. Based      on the results of observations dilapang showed that the number of individuals most abundant         in the lowlands 640m asl 1073 tail, and at least the number of individuals in the plateau           1700m asl 512 tail. With the highest diversity index found on the plateau 1,700 m asl 2.73, with a fairness index of 0.05 for trap trap traps, and for trapping device the malease trap diversity index value is 2.27, the fairness index is 0.97, with the Index Value Similarity 4.69%. As for the lowland diversity index, the lower incidence of occurrence index (H') was 2.68 individuals, (E) 0.04 for trap trap traps, and for male trap traps (H') 2.60, (E ) 0.94, with the value of the similarity index          (SI) 3.17%. Diversity index in moderate category or in other words ecosystem condition in       stable condition.

Abstract

The general aim of the research was to determine the influence of business credit on the number of labor at micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Palu City and the particular aim was to determine the direct influence of capacity, capital and conditions of SMEson thesum ofbusiness credit and the number of labors.  The research was conducted in Palu city on December 2016 until January 2017. The analysis tool used is path analysis. The results showed that such variablesas capacity, capital and conditions directly influenced the sum of business creditsignificantly while their influence was not significant on the number of labors except for the capital. The capacity, condition, and the sum of credit directly affected the number of labors significantly.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of plant spacing and various amounts/ratios of NPK fertilizerson the growth and nitrogen uptake of wetland rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties IR 64. The experimental design was a two-factorial Split Plot in a Randomized Block design. Two plant spacing types as the main plots i.e. symmetrical (s1) and Legowo (s2) were applied.  The various ratiosof NPK fertilzers as the sub plots consisted of 200 kg :75 kg : 50 kg per ha (p1), 250 kg : 100 kg :75 kg per ha (p2), 300 kg :125 kg :100 kg per ha (p3), and 350 kg :150 kg : 125 kg per ha (p4). There were eight combination treatments and each had three replicates.The results showed that the interaction between the plant spacing and the NPK fertilizer significantly affect tiller number, panicles per clump and nitrogen uptake.  Highest tiller number, panicles per clump and nitrogen uptake were found in the s2p4 treatment which were  67.50, 30.50 and 125.60 kg, respectively, whereas lowest ones were in the s1p1 which were 26.50, 13.52 and 51.66 kg, respectively.

Abstract

The research aimed at identifying the morphology of mycorrhizal arbuscular fungi (MAF) on the root zones of different horticultural crops (peppers, potato, leek, cabbage, tomato and chicory) in Nupabomba village Tanatovea sub district of Donggala.  It was descriptive exploratory study and conducted from October to December 2015. Samples of soil were purposively taken around the root zone and analyzed for its chemical and physical characteristics as well as for mycorrhizae  spore isolation and its identification.  The research results showed that the highest spore number of 303 spores per 10 g was found in the leek plantation whereas the lowest number of 43 spores per 10 g in the potatoes plantation.  There are four types of spore genus i.e. Acaulaspora, Entrophospora, Glomus and Paraglomu.  The Glomus genus was the dominant spores found in all types of the horticultural plantations.

Abstract

One of the agricultural commodities with great potential in the agro-industrial sector is soybean. It is one of the important food crops in the context of national food security. The soybean processing industry is expected to increase its economic value and revenue. This study aimwas to determine the rate of income earned by Tofu Industry of CemangiPartner in Palu city. The tofu industry was located in Boyaoge village Tatanga sub district of Palu city.The research respondents are purposively determined consisting of the owner of the tofu industry and its two employees.Primary data collected was obtained by direct observation and interviews with therespondentsusing a list of questions (questionaire). Secondary data were obtained from authorities and literature relevant with the aim of this study. The data was analyzed using the analysis of income. The tofu industry was found of being capable to generate revenue IDR.21,989,129.23/month during the period of September to October 2016.

Abstract

Rice is the most important food crop in Indonesia, as more than half of populations inIndonesia depends their life on rice produced from rice plants. This research aims to determine the intensity of white rice stem boreron thetwo different places, namely the plateau in the Sejahtra village, Palolo Subdistrict at an altitude of 592 meters above the sea (masl), and the lowland area in Lolu village, Sigi Biromaru Subdistrict, Sigi Regency at an altitude of 171 (masl). Whereas its usefulness is to compare the level of attacks that occur in the field by white rice stem borer. This research was conducted in the rice cultivation area at two different places altitudes and the implementation time from April to July 2016. The research was conducted with the survey method, observation and execution of research. The variable of observation namely, 1) The intensity of S.innotata pests. 2) The number of pest eggs S.innotata group and 3)The types and the numbers of parasitoids. Therw is the difference in the intensity of S.innotata attacks in two areas in different heights. Attacks on Oloboju are higher (35%) while attacks on Sejahtera are lower (10%) and there are three species of parasitoid in the S.innotata'segg, they are parasitoid of Telenomus, sp., Tetrastichus, sp.,and Trichogramma, sp.Telenomus, sp. More dominant to of fendin Oloboju while, sp. More dominant to of fendin Sejahtera.

Abstract

This study aims to get the right pattern Legowo row on each plant spacing; get Legowo row patterns are better on growth and yield of paddy; get better spacing on growth and yield of paddy. The study design randomized complete block design (CBD) with two factors, the first factor was spacing of the second stage and the second factor was the pattern Legowo row with 3 levels thus obtained 6 treatment combinations. Each combination treatment was repeated three times as a group so that the required 18 experimental plots. The results showed that the adoption of patterns Legowo row 2: 1 at a spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm resulted in higher plants while a spacing of 25 cm x 25 cm pattern Legowo row 3: 1 resulted in higher plants. Implementation patterns Legowo row 4: 1 to produce tillers and panicles number per clump more, whereas usage patterns Legowo row 3: 1 resulted in higher grain with an average of 7.29 tonnes ha-1 compared to other plant spacing pattern.
