Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman Arthropoda pada pertanaman Kakao pada bagian  tajuk (Sweep net) dan permukaan tanah (pitfall trap). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada pertanaman kakao. di Desa Sejahtera, Kecamatan Palolo, Kabupaten Sigi dan kegiatan identifikasi Arthropoda dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako. Penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling atau ditentukan secara sengaja, dilakukan pada lahan seluas 1 Ha yang dibagi dalam 5 hamparan pertanaman yang dijadikan pengamatan, dengan total  25 perangkap, dilakukan setiap 7 hari sekali, pengamatan selama 3 kali. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan jaring serangga dan  perangkap jebakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 11 ordo yang terdiri dari 21 famili dan 307 populasi untuk arthropoda tajuk (Sweep net) sedangkan arthropoda permukan tanah terdapat 5 ordo yang terdiri dari 6 famili dan 871 populasi.Analisis indeks keragaman menunjukkan bahwa pengamatan arthropoda tajuk berpengaruh terhadap keanekaragaman (H’), kemelimpahan (N1), kemelimpahan populasi sangat melimpah (N2), sedangkan pada pengamatan arthropoda tanah tidak berpengaruh, disebabkan oleh faktor habitat dan rantai makanan, sehingga jumlah ordo, populasi lebih sedikit.

Abstract

Lalat pengorok daun (Liriomyza sp.) merupakan hama utama pada pertanaman sayuran. Kerusakan yang ditimbulkannya mencapai 60% sampai 100%. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis parasitoid pada beberapa jenis tanaman sayuran. Pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus  2013 di Desa Sidera, dengan ketinggian tempat 176 meter dari permukaan laut dengan titik koordinat 10.00’21” LS dan 1190.56’.49” LU dan di Laboratorium Hama dan Penyakit, Fakultas Pertanian. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penanaman pada tanaman sayuran (kacang panjang, sawi, dan tomat) dan survei pada pertanaman ketimun milik petani yang berada disekitar lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, ada empat spesies parasitoid yang berasosiasi dengan Liriomyza sp. yang terdiri dari tiga famili yaitu Hemiptarsenus varicornis dan Chrysocharis pentheus (Eulopidae), Gronotoma micromorpha (Figitidae), dan Opius sp. (Braconidae). Tingkat parasitisasi parasitoid Liriomyza sp. berbeda-beda menurut jenis tanaman inang, yang terletak  pada kisaran 12% sampai 38,4%.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the potential of the Aspergillus sp. Palolo local isolates on the insects of Helopeltis spp.. The results of laboratory tests were used for in the field experiment, in order to know the influence of the concentration and the intensity of insect Helopeltis spp. The results of this study are expected to be used as an alternative for researchers to use entomopathogenic fungi Aspergillus sp. This research was conducted in two places, namely to research conducted phase one preliminary test performed in the laboratory of pests and plant diseases and for stage two test field, which is housed in cocoa production centers in Palolo Sigi. This study commenced from the month of May 2015 to July 2015. On the stage by looking at the concentration of the fungus Aspergillus sp. Effective in the mortality pest Helopeltis spp. In stage two were done in the field (cocoa plantations) is a continuation of research on the preliminary test effective concentration that causes mortality in test insects. The results showed that the use of a preliminary test at a concentration of 10-3, 10-5, 10-7 and 10-9 were used in the efektivity Helopeltis spp pest mortality rate is 10-5 cfu. The number of pest population concentration Helopeltis spp.. after the Aspergillus sp applied from week to week was decreased. Key Words: Aspergillus sp., intensity of  severity, pest population.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effectiveness of the lemongrass plant (Andropogannardus L.) as a repellent pest plant against Liriomyza sp. At shallot cropping in Palu Valley. This study used a randomized block design within which treatments included planting  lemongrass plant (PLP) at four weeks (PLP 4), two weeks before (PLP 2) and at the same time (PLP 0) of the shallot crop was planted, as well as  control (with no lemongrass planting). Variables observed were the populations of adult Liriomyza sp. and the attack rate of Liriomyza sp. as well as the crop production. The results showed that five and six weeks after the shallots were planted, the population of adult and the attack rate of Liriomyza sp. were lower in the PLP 4 than in the PLP 2, PLP 0 and control treatments. Abstract

Implementation of the intercropping of tomato with mustard plants in Central Sulawesi Palu valley region in particular in Palu Valley is very little conducted by farmers. Habits of farmers especially in the area of Central Sulawesi in controlling pests of horticultural crops are still relying on the use of chemical insecticides with relatively high doses concentration. This study aims to determine the effect of intercropping of tomato and mustard plants on the attack of Plutella xylostella L. This research is compiled using a randomized block design with 4 treatments were repeated 3 times. Variables measured the population density of P. xylostella L, the intensity of the attacks, and the production of mustard. The results showed intercropping of tomato plants can significantly affect suppress the population, the intensity of P. xylostella L and mustard production. The highest population is in the control treatment with 1.80 tail and lowest population for the treatment of mustard planted on the sidelines of the tomato crop in the direction from east to west by 0 tail. The intensity of the attacks is highest in the control treatment of 62,80 % and the lowest for the treatment of mustard planted on the sidelines of the tomato crop in the direction from east to west. The high production was 3.82 ton/ha in treatment of mustard surrounded by tomato plants and the lowest production found on control treatments contained 1.67 ton/ha. Keywords : Intercropping, Mustard, Plutella xylostella.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the effect of light trap intensity on the population density and intensity of S. Innotata attack. This research was conducted using the method of observation, with two light trap type of LED with a power of 5 watts and 10 watts, each light trap placed between two observed plots. Observation plots were observed in this study were four plots with the size of 30x20,5m. In each sectional observation was made by 5 measuring of 2x2m observation point, so that the total number of observed in plots this study were 20 subplots. Planting on each plot using “Jajar Legowo” system with the size of 20x40m. Population and intensity of S. innotata were analyzed using t-test. The results of this study showed that the number of adult S. innotata at 5 watt lamp light treatments da 10 watt increased starting from the first week of observation until the final week of observation, where the observation is done once a week for 8 times observation. Total catches imago of S. innotata at most in 5 watt is 110 tails and in 10 watts the highest number of catches is 219 and the result of t-test analysis is that the treatment between the fluorescent lights of 5 watts and 10 watts significantly effect on the intensity of S. innotata observed. Keywords: Intensity of the attack, Lamps traps, and S.innotata, population.

Abstract

Banana plant is a plant easily cultivated and is often found to being able to grow and develop well in various agro-ecological conditions. Banana skipper E. Thrax is a destructive pest which make leaves to roll by cutting and feeding a section of a leaf, starting from the edge of the leaf running parallel to the main leaf bone and glued with whitely fine threads discharged by the larvae of E. Thrax. The purpose of this study was to determine the type, quantity, and level of parasitism parasitoid of banana skipper at different altitude sites (lowlands and highland areas). In the highlands, two parasitoids were found namely Bracemeria lasus, and Cotesia erionotae. The percentage of Erionata Thrax was found highest in which of 60 Erionata Thrax samples observed four samples was attacked by Cotesia erionotae (6.667%) at the fourth month of observation. The lowest was Bracemeria lasus (1.176%) in which of 85 samples only one sample attacked at the first month observation.  In the lowlands, the highest percentage was found in the second and fourth month observation where 3.333% of 60 samples was attacked by Cotesia erionotae parasitoids. While the lowest percentage of parasitoid attacks was found at the first month observation in which only one sample was attacked out of 85 samples (1.176%). These results shows that the percentage of parasitoids in the highlands has no significant effect on that of in the lowlands. Keywords: Banana, E.tharax, Parasitoids.

Abstract

Ulat daun bawang merah (Spodoptera exigua Hubn.) merupakan hama utama pada pertanaman bawang merah, yang dapat menurunkan hasil produksi, sehingga mengakibatkan kerugian yang cukup besar bagi petani. Rimpang jeringau (Acorus calamus L.) dapat berperan sebagai racun perut, racun kontak, anti-feedant dan repellent bagi serangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa konsentrasi Ekstrak Rimpang Jeringau (ERJ) terhadap mortalitas larva S. exigua. Penelitian dilaksanakandi Laboratorium Ilmu Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako Palu pada bulan Juni sampai September 2016. Pengujian aktivitas insektisida ERJ dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pencelupan dan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 tingkat konsentrasi ERJ, yaitu K0: Kontrol (Tanpa Perlakuan) K1: ERJ (1,5%), K2 : ERJ (2%), K3 : ERJ (2,5%), K4 : ERJ (3%) dan K5 : ERJ (3,5%).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ERJ 3% menunjukkan aktivitas insektisida yang tertinggi. ERJ 3% menyebabkan kematian larva S. exiguainstar 3 sebesar 65,42% dan menghambat pembentukan pupa dan imago S. exigua sebesar 99,1%  Kata kunci: Acorus calamus L., Aktivitas insektisida, Ulat daun bawang merah

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect several of tuba root extract concentrationson the intensity of the attacks walang rice pest (Leptocorisa acuta) and rice production. This research was conducted in the village of Wosu, District Bungku West, Morowali District, in December 2015 to March 2016. The study used an experimental trial designs using completely randomized design (CRD) with tuba root extract consists of 5 treatments and 3 repetitions, which consists of tuba root extract concentration without any concentration treatment (control), the concentration of 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% / liter water / plot, after it were applied to each plot observations already prepared. The spraying was done three times i.e. at the age of 62 days, aged 76 and 90 days. Interfal observations carried out at walang sangit intensity of attacks carried out on every 3 days after application. Based on the analysis HSD test the level of 5%, indicating that the treatment of several concentrations of tuba root extract can affect the intensity and reduce the level of L. acuta attack, whereas the concentration of tuba root extract with a concentration of  4% / liter water / plot can suppress the attack L. acuta and increase rice production by 95%.

Abstract

The study objective to determine the insect diversity in cocoa farm (Theobroma cacao L.) affected by insecticide application. The research was conducted in August - December 2013, at Gio and Karya Abadi village, Parigi Moutong, Sulawesi. Insect identification was done in the Plant Pests and Diseases Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty of Tadulako University. The study used purposive sampling, sampling the insects in cacao farm which had been applied with and without- insecticide. The study area for insecticide and non insecticide treatments are namely 1 ha of each and it was divided into 5 plots, totally having 10 plots for observation. In each plot insects were collected by using a sweep net, pitfall and yellow traps. Insect observations performed at once a week, overall was 3 weeks. The result showed that diversity of insect is significantly higher in the farm without insecticide than the insecticide application, namely 1535 and 1177 insects, respectively. The non insecticide farm resulted to 19 Families from 8 Ordo and the insecticide? farm have only 17 families and also 8 Ordo. Therefore, the diversity index (H') is higher in non- insecticide than the insecticide application.
