Abstract

The research was conducted at Bulu Pounto Jaya, Biromaru sub District, Sigi District, Central Sulawesi Province from August to November 2014. This research aimed to determine the effect of mulch and liquid organic fertilizer types on growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Lembah Palu varieties. The design used in this research was a two factorial randomized block design (RAK).  The first factor was application of mulch (M) i.e. M0 = no mulching, M1 = silver black plastic mulching, M2 = rice straw mulch and the second factor was the application of liquid organic fertilizer i.e. F1 = once application (7 days after planting-WAP), F2 = twice applications (7, 14 DAP), F3 = thrice applications (7, 14, 21 DAP). Therefore, there were nine combinations of treatments and replicated three times. The results showed that the type of mulch (M) affected significantly the components of plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, and tuber fresh weight. The liquid organic fertilizer treatment (F) had a significant effect on the components of leaf area and plant fresh weight. The rice straw mulch (M2) produced higher growth than the silver black plastic mulch (M1) and without mulch (M0). While the liquid organic fertilizer applied three times (F3) produced higher yield than the other applications. There was significant interaction effect between the two factors on leaf area components.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a good concentration on the regeneration of growth regulators contained in coconut water on cocoa seed vigor (Theobroma cacao L). This research conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology of Agriculture Faculty of Tadulako University. The experiment conducted from March to May 2017. This experiment used Complete Randomized Design, that are coconut water consisting of three levels = 50% of coconut water, = 75% of coconut water, = 100 % of coconut water. The treatments were repeated 10 times, so there are 30 units of treatments, each unit used 3 plants, so the number of plants observed is 90 plants. The results showed that the application of 100% of coconut water in cocoa seedlings were able to give better coconut seed vigor on increasing in plant height, increasing of leaf number, increasing of stem diameter, and total chlorophyll leaf compared to 75% concentration of coconut water and concentration 50% coconut water

Abstract

Pisang (Musa paradisica L.) merupakan salah satu jenis buah-buahan. Pisang berasal dari Asia Tenggara, tetapi kini telah menyebar ke seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Buah pisang sangat populer  dan digemari oleh semua lapisan masyarakat. Industri Citra Lestari Production adalah salah satu industri yang menghasilkan berbagai macam produk seperti bawang goreng, keripik pisang, keripik sukun, abon sapi dan abon ikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Industri Citra Lestari Production, berlokasi di Jln. Kimaja No.9 Besusu Palu Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Citra Lestari Industri Production pada Pebruari berada dalam kondisi titik pulang pokok dengan pendapatan Rp 2.037.143. Pada bulan Maret industri Citra Lestari Production berada dalam kondisi titik pulang pokok dengan pendapatan Rp6.150.403. Margin of Safety usaha keripik pisang pada bulan Pebruari adalah 66% atau 65,72 dan Maret adalah 85% atau 85,27.

Abstract

This Research aim is to determine the right strategy to develop clove leaf oil refining business in the Sabang Village Dampelas Subdistrict, Donggala Regency. This research was conducted in February until Maret 2015. Determination of respondent committed intentionally (purposive) and respondents choosen was 10 people. The SWOT analysis was used to analysis the data. The analytical results showel that the right strategy to development is SO Strengths (powers) -Opportunities (opportunities) strategy to use the force to take advantage of  the opportunity to obtain two alternatives that is: maximizing the use of technology to access information on existing technologies to improve the quality of production company, promoting a quality product from the company to be more popular among consumers by utilizing information and communication technologies available.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know the ability the fungus Trichoderma sp. as antagonistic to fungal pathogens Alternaria porri (EII. Cif.) on shallot. This study was conducted in the Laboratory of plant pests and Disease Department (HPT), Agriculture faculty  of Tadulako University, Palu in Plant Central Sulawesi. This study used the isolation and identification of fungal pathogen A.Porri on onion and antagonism test of Trichoderma sp test against mold growth A.porri, with 2 treatments and 5 replications so that there were 10 experimental units. Local isolates of Trichoderma sp. Used in this experimen were derived from two institusion the Laboratory of plant pests and Diseases Faculty of Agriculture University of Tadulako and BPTP Biromaru. The result of this stady indikate that bolt of lokal isolate Trichoderma sp. quite effective in suppressing the growth fungi A.porri EII. Cif. disease-causing purple spots on the onion crop in-vitro, but percentage of inhibition bolth of isolate ware not significantly different at 5% level test results.

Abstract

Rural PNPM Mandiri (PNPM-MPd) in principle is the welfare of the poor and rural employment opportunities independently through increased community participation (especially the poor, women's groups and community / marginalized groups). This study aims to measure institutional performance (PNPM-MPd) in the management of venture capital support poor farmers. The research was conducted in the Seko Luwu Northern District of South Sulawesi province. Take as many (26 respondents) by using simple techniques claster sampling the importance of the 3 villages namely,  medieval village, and village the farthest village from District Seko. In addition to determining the respondents also used purposive technique. Based on the results of research that PNPM-MPd institutional performance shows that the institutional performance PNPM-MPd is 88.46% which shows high institutional performance criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji ketahanan beberapa klon kakao (Theobroma cacao L.) pelukaan dan tanpa pelukaan terhadap penyakit Busuk Buah (Phytophtora palmivora) berdasarkan uji detected pod. Pengambilan klon kakao diperoleh dari PT.Mars Desa Sidole kecamatan Ampibabo dan perbanyakan inokulum serta pengujian ketahanan klon kakao bertempat di Laboratorium Hama Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako, Palu.Waktu Pelaksanaan pada bulan Mei hingga November 2014. Penelitian menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial.  Faktor pertama yaitu 6 klon kakaoyaitu Klon AP, 45, M01, M06, S1 dan S2.  Faktor kedua yaitu Pelukaan dan tanpa pelukaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa klon pelukan yang mempunyai tingkat ketahanan yang tinggi terhadap serangan P. palmivoraadalah klon S1 (42,46 cm/hari2), Sedangkan klon tanpa pelukaan adalah klon M06 (5,17 cm/hari2). Bibit kakao pelukaan yang mempunyai tingkat ketahanan yang tinggi terhadap serangan P. palmivoraadalah klon M01 dan bibit kakao tanpa pelukaan adalah S1.

Abstract

The research was conducted in the Village Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru Sub-District, Sigi District starting September to December 2014. The study was carried out to study and determine the effect of the percentage of shading on the growth and yield of tomato plants as well as a shading that is most appropriate percentage for the growth and yield of tomato plants. This research was conducted by using a randomized block design (RBD) with the percentage of shading consists of 6 level treatments, N0 = no shading,  N1 = 10% shade, N2 = 20% shade, shade N3 = 30%, N4 = 40 shade, shade N5 = 50%. Each treatment was repeated three times so that there are 18 experimental units. The results showed that the various shading percentages significant effect on the plant height, number of leaves, the emergence of flower, fruit number and fruit weight of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). The best growth and yield of tomato were treater with 30 % shade.

Abstract

The need for rice as one of the main food sources of the Indonesian population continues to increase in line with the increase of population with a rate of 2% per year. The objective of this research is to know the response of four cultivars of upland rice to different soil moisture content, drought resistant cultivars and water content where cultivars are difficult or can not grow. The research was conducted at Green House Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University of Palu. From March to June 2017. This research was prepared using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) two factors consisting of local rice cultivar as first factor that is Cultivar Tagolu, Cultivar Habo, Uva Buya Cultivar and Cultivar Dongan. While Soil Humidity Level as the second factor soil moisture level 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%. The results showed that the Habo cultivar and Dongan cultivars have long and wider leaves, the number of grains contained, the number of tillers, the number of leaves, and the weight of 1000 grains better compared to other cultivars. At 75% and 50% soil moisture levels can still grow crops well compared to 25% moisture level. The influence of soil moisture level is similar in all cultivars.

Abstract

Penambangan emas di Desa Poboya merupakan salah satu wilayah pertambangan emas rakyat yang ada di Kabupaten Sigi-Biromaru. Kegiatan penambangan tersebut dilakukan oleh sekelompok masyarakat dan menggunakan cara-cara penambangan yang sangat sederhana (tradisional). Penambangan yang dilakukan mengakibatkan lingkungan menjadi rusak.  Logam berat merupakan istilah yang digunakan untuk unsur-unsur transisi yang mempunyai massa jenis atom lebih besar dari 6 gcm-3. Merkuri (Hg), timbal (Pb), tembaga (Cu), kadmium (Cd) dan stronsium (Sr) adalah contoh logam berat yang berupa kontaminan yang berasal dari luar tanah dan sangat diperhatikan karena berhubungan erat dengan kesehatan manusia, pertanian dan ekotoksikologinya. Lingkungan yang terkontaminasi oleh merkuri dapat membahayakan kehidupan manusia karena adanya rantai makanan.  kontaminasi merkuri pada tanaman  harus ditempatkan secara khusus dan ditangani secara hati-hati.  Penelitian ini dilaksakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan merkuri di kawasan pengolahan tambang emas Poboya.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey yang menggambarkan/menguraikan sifat dari suatu keadaan lokasi secara aktual dan mengkaji penyebab dari gejala-gejala tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran, pengamatan  dilapangan dan pengkuran laboratorium, pra survei, survei utama (pengambilan sampel) dan analisi laboratoruim, dengan pengambilan sampel secara taktis.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan merkuri (Hg) pada sampel yang mewakili lokasi penelitian adalah tidak semua sampel tanaman menunjukan kandungan merkuri melewati ambang batas berdasarkan acuan Alloway, (1995) Konsentrasi merkuri (Hg) dalam tanaman kacang tanah berkisar 0.098 ppm- 0.45 ppm, pada tanaman jagung berkisar 0.07 ppm sampai 0.43 ppm, pada tanaman padi berkisar 0.03 ppm - 0.21 ppm dan pada tanaman bawang merah berkisar 0.01 ppm - 0.32 ppm. Kandungan logam berat merkuri (Hg) dalam tanaman di areal kelurahan Poboya masih dalam ambang yang bisa di toleransi namun menghawatirkan.
