Abstract

The research aimed to know the community of ant (Hymenoptera : formicidae) on three different plants, namely paddy, corn and red onion. The research which took place in Sidera village Biromaru region of Sigi regency. A description method by using a purposive sampling technique was used to collect samples. The samples were obtained from fifteen baited-traps which were located in three station. There were five baited-traps in each station. The population of this research was all kind of  formicidae (ant) in site experiment while all of those trapped ants were assumed as samples. Results of this research showed that there were in Sidera village Biromaru region of Sigi regency five Spesies of Formicidae found in observed plants. There were Solenopsis geminata, Anoplolepis gracilipes, Tetramorium sp, Pratrechium sp and Dolichoderus thoracicus

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui perbandingan tingkat konsumsi dan pendapatan dan Mengkaji kecenderungan tingkat mengkonsumsi Masyarakat Tani Padi Sawah Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan April sampai dengan Bulan Juli 2013. Penentuan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja (purpossive). Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode secara acak sederhana (Simple Random Sampling). Jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 30 responden dari 253 KK petani padi sawah. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis pendapatan dan analisis regresi linier sederhana.Hasil analisis pendapatan menunjukan bahwa Pendapatan rata-rata yang diperoleh petani responden padi sawah pada satu kali musim tanam di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi yaitu sebesar Rp.11.740.058,82/ha. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukan bahwa di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi pendapatan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat konsumsi, sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa variasi pendapatan dapat mempengaruhi variasi konsumsi. Saran yang dapat diberikan bahwa kecenderungan mengkonsumsi sama dengan tingkat pendapatan, agar petani mampu melakukan saving.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi industri Sa?adah Agency dalam pengembangan strategi pemasaran produknya dan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis  pengembangan strategi pemasaran cokelat industri  Sa?adah Agency. Tempat penelitian ini dilakukan pada industri Sa?adah Agency Penentuan responden dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive), yaitu pimpinan industri Sa?adah Agency, 2 orang tenaga kerja industri Sa?adah Agency, konsumen dan pesaing. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Untuk menganalisis pengembangan strategi pemasaran produk Banua Cokelat pada industri rumah tangga Sa?ada Agency di Kota Palu maka analisis yang digunakan adalah analis SWOT. Hasil diperoleh dari penelitian bahwa strategi pengembangan pemasaran produk Banua Cokelat  industri Sa?adah Agency menekankan dalam pertimbangan faktor internal kekuatan, kelemahan dan faktor eksternal peluang, ancaman. Hasil dari pengurangan faktor kekuatan dan faktor kelemahan didapat nilai sumbu X sebesar 1,16 sedangkan untuk pengurangan faktor peluang dan ancaman didapat nilai sumbu Y sebesar 2,00. Diagram SWOT menunjukan letak posisi pengembangan strategi pemasaran produk banua cokelat industri  Sa?adah Agency berada pada kuadran I (SO).

Abstract

The research aimed to find local upland rice cultivar which has better growth and yield responses under the application of various manure and to find manure which has better effect on the growth and yield of local upland rice cultivars. This research was conducted at the Screen House of Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University of Palu, and lasted from September 2017 until January 2018. This research was arranged in a two-factorial completely randomized design. The first factor consisted of three cultivars of upland rice i.e. Kalendeng, Logi, and Uva Buya, while the second factor consisted of four types of manure i.e. with no manure addition (control), cow manure, chicken manure and goat manure each at a rate of 20 ton ha-1 or 73 g polybag-1. It was found that the Logi cultivar produced better growth and yield than the other cultivars whereas chicken manure resulted in better growth and yield of the upland cultivars.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the resistance of several local upland rice cultivar resistances to various levels of water avaibality, to find local upland rice which had better growth and to find the level of water status that could reduce the growth of upland rice.  This research was conducted at the Agrotecnology Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University Palu. This research was conducted from August 2017 to Jaunary 2018. This research was a two-factorial randomized block design.  The first factor was various local rice upland cultivars i.e. Kalendeng, Tagolu, Logi, and Uva Buya, The second factor was different water availability levels i.e field capacity (FC), 75% FC, 50% FC, and 25% FC. Kalendeng Cultivar was found to grow well only at FC water content, Tagolu and Uva Buya cultivars down to 75% FC, and Logi Cultivar was able to grow well even at drier condition down to 50% FC.  Tagolu and Logi cultivar grow better compared to other cultivars.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the factors that affect the demand for imported grapes of modern market  (case study at Hypermart of Palu). The study was conducted from August 2017 to October 2017. The respondents' determination was conducted using accidental sampling to select 30 respondents of  imported grape consumers. The Multiple Linear Regression was employed by using F (Simultant) test and t test (Partial). The F test results showed  that the value of F-count was 24.716>F-table (2,960) indicating that simulataneously all variables including age (X1), consumer income (X2), and imported grape price (X3 ) had significant effect on the demand of  the imported grapes. The result of t test indicated that the age (X1) and the imported grape (X3) partially  had significant effect on the imported grape demand with the significance value of less 5% whereas the consumer income (X2 ) had the significance value of greater than 5%, therefore, its effect was insignificant.

Abstract

One of the diseases that exist and are very detrimental to farmers wilt disease caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum on tomato plants, where the disease is an important disease and including major diseases on tomato plants. The level of pathogenic attack caused substantial losses to farmers. The aim of research to determine the effect of the fungus Trichoderma spp. in suppressing the development of Fusarium wilt disease in relation to the optimal plant growth and yield of tomato. This study aims to determine the effect of the fungus Trichoderma spp. in suppressing the development of Fusarium oxysporum disease in relation to growth and optimal results on tomato plants. This study was conducted in September 2014 until the month of February 2015, at the Laboratory of Plant Pests and Diseases and Greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako. Research using completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments, T1 = control (without application), T2 = treated Trichoderma spp. as much as 20 g / polybag, T3 = treatment of Trichoderma spp. as much as 30 g / polybag, T4 = treated Trichoderma spp. as much as 40 g / polybag and T5 = treated Trichoderma spp. as much as 50 g / polybag. Each treatment was repeated five times so that there are 25 experimental units. The results showed the introduction of the fungus Trichoderma spp. In polybag can suppress Fusarium oxysporum disease progression and sustain growth (plant height) as well as the results (number and weight of fruit) tomato plants.

Abstract

This  research  aimed  to find  out  the  total  cost,  acceptance,  revenue  and profits of Banana Chips at Cahaya Indi Industry. The research was carried out in Banawa village, South  Tanamea sub-district,  Donggala district of Central Sulawesi province from June-August 2016. One leader and two employees of the industry were interviewed.  The industry profitability was analyzed using Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Return on Equity (ROE).  The results showed that during 2015-2016, the GPM, NPM, and ROE values were 43.42%, 42.93%,and 20.81%, respectively.

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of the concentration of NaOH in cellulose extraction of cocoa pod husk of the physical properties of cellulose, determine the relationship between was increased concentration of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) with glucose produced from cellulose hydrolysis process cocoa pod husk during hydrolysis and determine the rate of decay glucose levels after the achievement of the optimum point of hydrolysis of the cocoa pod husk. This study was consisted of two steps: (I) The extraction of cocoa pod husk using NaOH concentration of 10%, 12% and 14%, and (II) Hydrolysis of cellulose in various concentrations of H2SO4 ie:                1.0 M; 1.5 M; 2.0 M and 2.5 M. Variable observation in stage I includes yield and brightness were analyzed using a completely randomized design with advanced test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) 1%. Furthermore, in the second stage is variable levels of glucose in various concentrations of H2SO4 and the glucose damages after the optimum point. The results showed that the concentration of NaOH 12% give the cellulose yield of 29.14% and 46.79% of brightness which is the best result for the production of cellulose as a raw material on step II in this research.  Results of step II showed that the highest glucose levels found in H2SO4 concentration of 2.5%, amount to 23.17% at the optimum point of 6.70 hours with the correlation between the time of hydrolysis with the glucose production rate amounted to 77.22% where the damage occurred after the point optimum 7 hours. From the results of this study was concluded that the concentration of NaOH 12% is a better concentration in the extraction of cellulose from cocoa pod husk in particular on the yield and brightness of cellulose.  There is a linear relationship between the concentration of sulfuric acid and glucose levels occur on the hour of 6 to 7 on process of hydrolysis of cellulose cocoa pod husk and the rate of the damage of glucose have been increased in line with increasing hydrolysis time after reaching the optimum point. The cocoa pod husk cellulose hydrolysis using H2SO4 should be not more than 7 hours due to the acid catalyst destructive glucose was produced. Necessary to study hydrolysis using other cellulosic feedstocks using an acid catalyst.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kimia dan organoleptik daging buah  srikaya pada berbagai suhu pemanasan pulp dan untuk mendapatkan suhu pemanasan tertentu yang memberikan karakteristik kimia dan organoleptik terbaik pada pulp srikaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai dengan November 2013, bertempat di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Tadulako Palu. Menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap untuk analisis kimia dengan 4 taraf perlakuan  suhu pemanasan yaitu, tanpa pemanasan, 50oC, 60oC dan 70oC. Sedangkan untuk uji organoleptik menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok di mana pengelompokkan didasarkan pada masing-masing panelis, jumlah panelis yang dilibatkan sebanyak 15 orang.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan suhu pemanasan hingga 70oC menyebabkan penurunan terhadap mutu kimia antara lain kadar air, kadar serat dan vitamin C namun cenderung meningkatkan kadar gula reduksi. Selanjutnya pada mutu organoleptik, suhu pemanasan hanya berpengaruh terhadap uji warna. Suhu pemanasan 50oC memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap karakteristik kimia dan organoleptik buah srikaya.
