Abstract

The study aims at describing the use of video based on global view on education in reading for TOEFL lesson to improve the students’ reading skill and to internalize the values of mental revolution for the students of English education program at Universitas Slamet Riyadi. The research method is a collaborative action research. There are four phases in conducting the research: planning, action, observation, reflection, and revising the plan. The subject of the research is 2nd and 4th semester students of English education program at Universitas Slamet Riyadi, however in this article,the writers intend to describe the findings on reading for TOEFL lesson (4th semester). The techniques in collecting the data are observation, questionnaire, and document analysis. Meanwhile, the techniques in analyzing the data are qualitative and quantitative analyses. The qualitative data analysis consists of data data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. And the quantitative data analysis is through mean score in every cycle. Research findings show that in the reading for TOEFL lesson, the mean score for pre-test was 38.7. It was improved become 72.5 in the 1st cycle. Finally, in the 2nd cycle, the meanscore was 73.2.  Meanwhile, another finding in terms of internalizing the values of mental revolution was that the students are able to find and conceive the values found in the videos and the texts, such as professionalism, creativity, working together, and nationalism values. Key words: Collaborative Action Research, Reading for TOEFL, Mental Revolution.

Abstract

Autistic children are not able to activate social, even like living in their own world. This is experienced by autistic children in SLB Autis Braided Hearts Payakumbuh but as a teacher needs strategies in overcoming the difficulty of reading the Koran on autism. This study emphasizes the way and strategy teachers guide reading the Koran by using qualitative methods, which are descriptive. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results of this study find ways to be used through psychic learning of children, making conducive classes and guiding them individually. The strategy used is to support direct learning, using the iqra method, using learning media and evaluation.Keywords: Strategy, Alquran, Autism ABSTRAKAnak Autis tidak mampu berinteraksi sosial, bahkan seolah-olah hidup dalam dunianya sendiri. Hal ini yang dialami anak autis di SLB Autis Jalinan Hati Payakumbuh namun sebagai guru perlu stategi dalam mengatasi kesulitan baca Alquran pada autis. Penelitian ini menekankan pada cara dan stategi guru membimbing baca Alquran dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa cara yang digunakan melalui pendekatan psikis terhadap anak, membuat kelas kondisif dan membimbingnya secara individu. Stategi yang digunakan ialah merancang pembelajaran langsung, mengunakan metode iqra, memakai media pembelajaran dan evaluasi.Kata Kunci : Stategi, Alquran, Autis

Abstract

AbstractVarious problems in the world of special education is many of graduates who have not been absorbed in the business world and industrial world. Strengthening the learning process of vocational programs is very important, including strengthening network competence and life skills. An edupreneur can perform the management of vocational skills centers in school according to the needs of the special needs learners so that they can respond to the challenges of the workplace and mistrust of the community to the students with special needs. Management of vocational programs in special schools should be humanistic and take into account the characteristics, needs and types of services appropriate to learners derived from the assessment program to determine the basic capabilities and barriers to enhance the interests and talents of learners.Key words : edupreneur, difable, vocational program Abstrak            Berbagai masalah dalam dunia pendidikan khusus adalah banyaknya lulusan yang belum terserap dalam dunia usaha dan dunia industri. Memperkuat proses pembelajaran program vokasional sangat penting dilakukan, termasuk memperkuat kompetensi jaringan kerja dan kecakapan hidup. Seorang edupreneur dapat melakukan manajemen sentra keterampilan vokasional di sekolah sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik kebutuhan khusus sehingga mereka dapat menjawab tantangan dunia kerja dan ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyze the problems that exist in thematic learning, including the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This research was conducted in January - June at SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta in class IV students. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students of Class IV, and teachers at SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta. While the method of collecting data in this study is through observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and open questionnaires. (1) The observation method is used to be able to observe and know directly the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students. (2) The interview method is used to get the information needed. (3) The documentation method is used to find out the school profile, learning tools, data of Class IV students in SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta, and cognitive problems that arise in thematic learning. (4) The open questionnaire method is used to obtain information from students who have not gotten the author from the results of the interview. The technique of checking the validity of qualitative data is done by using source triangulation and method triangulation. The data in this study were analyzed in the order of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results of this study are found problems in (1) cognitive domain (knowledge), namely students do not understand the material to the fullest, have not been able to make the core of learning, difficulty in differentiating work that produces goods and services, difficulty in determining characterizations in fiction, there are still who do not like thematic learning, there are still students who have not done the task or test independently, and students who do not enter due to permission or illness have difficulty understanding the material independently. (2) The affective domain (attitude) is found to be a problem, namely an attitude of confidence, activeness, independence, and honesty that still needs to be emphasized again to students. (3) Psychomotor domains (skills), namely the lack of ability of students to draw three-dimensional shapes well, lack of ability to speak in front of the class, making a custom home from stick ice cream firmly, and creativity to make three-dimensional objects from plasticine.Keywords: Thematic Learning, Cognitive Domains, Affective Domains, and Domains Psychomotor. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis problematika yang ada dalam pembelajaran tematik, meliputi ranah kognitif, ranah afektif, dan ranah psikomotorik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Juni di SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta pada peserta didik kelas IV. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik Kelas IV, dan guru di SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini ialah melalui observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur, dokumentasi, dan angket terbuka. (1) Metode observasi digunakan untuk dapat mengamati dan mengetahui secara langsung aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik peserta didik. (2) Metode wawancara digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang dibutuhkan. (3) Metode dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengetahui profil sekolah, perangkat pembelajaran, data peserta didik Kelas IV di SD N Kadipiro No. 144 Surakarta, dan problematika kognitif yang timbul dalam pembelajaran tematik. (4) Metode angket terbuka digunakan untuk mendapatkan  informasi dari peserta didik yang penulis belum dapatkan dari hasil wawancara. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data kualitatif dilakukan dengan trianggulasi sumber dan trianggulasi metode. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan urutan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ditemukan problematika pada (1) ranah kognitif (pengetahuan) yaitu peserta didik belum memahami materi secara maksimal, belum mampu membuat inti pembelajaran, kesulitan membedakan pekerjaan yang menghasilkan barang dan jasa, kesulitan untuk menentukan penokohan di dalam cerita fiksi, masih ada yang kurang menyukai pembelajaran tematik, masih terdapat peserta didik yang belum mengerjakan tugas atau ulangan secara mandiri, serta peserta didik yang tidak masuk dikarenakan izin atau sakit kesulitan untuk memahami materi secara mandiri. (2) Ranah afektif (sikap) ditemukan problematika yaitu sikap percaya diri, keaktifan, kemandirian, dan kejujuran yang masih perlu ditekankan lagi kepada peserta didik. (3) Ranah psikomotorik (keterampilan) yaitu kurang mampunya peserta didik untuk menggambar bentuk tiga dimensi dengan baik, kurangnya kemampuan berbicara di depan kelas, membuat rumah adat dari stick ice cream dengan kokoh, dan kreatifitas untuk membuat benda berbentuk tiga dimensi dari plastisin. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Tematik, Ranah Kognitif, Ranah Afektif, dan Ranah Psikomotorik.

Abstract

The English of Senior High Schhol students in Indonesia is quite interesting to studybecause it contanis a significant number of errors, especially in the writing of a noun phrase.This phenomenon shows that the English used contains Interlanguage. Selinker states thatInterlanguage has its own linguistic system. This study aims to describe and explain thelinguistic system of noun phrase in the leaners’ interlanguage as well as factors that contributeto the formation of the noun phrase. The subjects of this study were 40 students of SMAMuhammadiyah Surakarta II Class X. The data were collected through elicitation technique, thestudents were asked to write free composition. Data were analyzed using framework of erroranalysis which includes four stages: elicitation, identification, description and explanation orinterpretation. The results of the data analysis indicate seven noun phrase patterns as follows:(1) the use of mother tongue (Indonesian), (2) the use of combination of Indonesian and English,(3) the use of cognate, (4) the use of the Arabic already naturalized into Indonesian, (5) theexistence of miscollocation, (6) the use of false friend, and (7) the use of infinitive verbs insteadof Verb-ing. With regards to factors that contribute to the formation of the noun phrase, theresults show that these are due to the following factors: (1) muilingualism of the Englishlearners, (2) the gap between the Indonesian vocabulary repertoire and English, (3) theutilization of the previous lerned languages (Indonesia, Arabic) in their English expressions,and (4) the lack of control of the structure of the English noun phrase.Keywords: noun phrases, noun phrase patterns, factors which contribute to the formation ofnoun phrases

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this researcher is to find out whether there is an influence of information guidance services on the decline in game playing habits in class X students at SMA N 6 Surakarta 2017/2018 Academic Year. The population in this study were all students of class X in SMA N 6 Surakarta in the Academic Year 2017/2018, amounting to 361 students. while the sample used was 33 students, the data collection technique used a questionnaire to decrease the habit of playing games in class X students at SMA N 6 Surakarta to students through two stages, namely before and after being given information guidance then to analyze the data using the t-test formula. Based on the results of data analysis about the effect of information guidance services on decreasing game playing habits in class X students at SMA N 6 Surakarta in the Academic Year of 2017/2018, it was obtained that the t value was = 7.224, then consulted with t table with db = (N-1) = (33-1) = 32 in the significance level of 5% and 1%. So it can be concluded that t count is greater than t table or 2.037 <7.224> 2.738. Thus the hypothesis that reads "There is an influence of information guidance services on decreasing game playing habits in class X students at SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in the Academic Year of 2017/2018" is proven to be true at the significance level of 5% and 1%. Keywords: Information Guidance Services, Playing Games ABSTRAKTujuan dari peneliti ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh layanan bimbingan informasi terhadap penurunan kebiasaan bermain game pada siswa kelas X di SMA N 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA N 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 361 siswa. sedangkan sempel yang digunakan adalah 33 siswa, teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan angket penurunan kebiasaan bermain game pada siswa kelas X di SMA N 6 Surakarta kepada siswa melalui dua tahap, yaitu sebelum dan sesudah diberikan bimbingan informasi maka untuk menganalisis data menggunakan rumus t-tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tentang pengaruh layanan bimbingan informasi terhadap penurunan kebiasaan bermain game pada siswa kelas X di SMA N 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar = 7,224, kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan t tabel dengan d.b = (N-1) = (33-1) = 32 dalam taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel atau 2,037 < 7,224 > 2.738. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang berbunyi  “Ada pengaruh layanan bimbingan informasi terhadap penurunan kebiasaan bermain game pada siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018” terbukti kebenarannya pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%..Kata kunci : Layanan Bimbingan Informasi, Bermain Game

Abstract

The purposes of this reasearch are 1) describing the efforts of increasing the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation at the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year by class visitation technique of academic supervision and 2) analysing the increase of increasing the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation at the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year by class visitation technique of academic supervision. The type of this research is School Action Research (SAR). The action of this research is class visitation. The place of this research is the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi, Subdistrict of Rembang, Regency of Rembang. The time of this research is the early first semester of 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this research are the class teachers (CT) and the subject teachers (ST) in the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi, Subdistrict of Rembang, Regency of Rembang, consist of six CT and three ST. The technique of collecting data is using nontest technique. The tools of collecting data are using the sheets of observation and documentation. The data of this research is including teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation. The data of this research are qualitative and quantitative. The technique of analizing data is decriptive comparation. The procedure of this research is using Cycle Model, consist of four steps: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of this research are 1) the efforts of increasing the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation at the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year by class visitation technique of academic supervision are focussing on the coaching, 2) the efforts of increasing the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation at the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year by class visitation technique of academic supervision are individually and participative and 3) the elementary school 1 Pasar Banggi teachers pedagogic competence in order to increase the students learning motivation at the first semester of 2018/2019 academic year by class visitation technique of academic supervision increased and included very high (A) category. Key words: Pedagogic, Teacher, Learning Motivation, Academic Supervision
