Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase the activeness of student learning through the application of the surrounding environment (PLAS) to fifth grade students of elementary schools. This research was conducted at Karangreja Public Elementary School 2, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency in the 2018/2019 school year. This research is a classroom action research. Monitoring Sheets are used to study the level of student activity in participating in PLAS learning. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of data sources and triangulation of techniques. Research data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings with planning, implementation / action, observation and reflection. The results showed that the activeness in the first cycle of meeting 1 was 20.70%, the second meeting was 34.39%, while the third meeting was 55.17% with an average of 36.79%, while the activeness in the second cycle meeting 1 was 82.76 %, the second meeting was 89.66%, while in the third meeting it was 93.11% with an average of 88.51%. The conclusion of this study is an increase in student activity by 51.72% in PLAS learning.Keywords: Active Learning, Natural Environment Planning, Elementary SchoolABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan lingkungan alam sekitar (PLAS) pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 2 Karangreja, Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Pendekatan penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat keaktifan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PLAS. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data penelitian terdiri dari tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 3 pertemuan dengan langkah perencanaan, pelaksanaan/tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keaktifan pada siklus I pertemuan 1 sebesar 20.70%, pertemuan kedua sebesar 34.39%, sedangkan pada pertemuan ketiga sebesar 55.17% dengan rerata 36.79%, sedangkan keaktifan pada siklus II pertemuan 1 sebesar 82.76%, pertemuan kedua sebesar 89.66%, sedangkan pada pertemuan ketiga sebesar 93.11% dengan rerata 88.51%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan keaktifan siswa sebesar 51.72% dalam pembelajaran PLAS.Keywords: Keaktifan Belajar, Pendekatan Lingkungan Alam Sekitar, Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the developing of character education in the nuances of language. The methode used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Character education is a planned effort so that it cannot be instantly accepted and understood. In developing character education, language is expected to contribute useful influence and to improve students' acheivement.

Abstract

The problem of this research is “Can problem based instruction model improve the study result ofsocial studies about the struggle during netherlands and japan colonization through problem basedinstruction model to the VA students in SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar semester II in theacademic year of 2014/2015”.The purpose of this research is to improve the study result of social studies about the struggleduring netherlands and japan colonization through problem based instruction model to the VA students inSDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar Semester II in the academic year of 2014/2015. This research isin the form of classroom action research. It is carried out in SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyarsemester II in the academic year of 2014/2015. The subject of the research is the students of class VA SDN01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar that consists of about 25 students.This research is carried out for about 3 months, started on January until March 2015. The Dataresource of this research is students score and document. The data collecting method is observation anddocument analysis. The technique of validity test used the technique of data resource triangulation andmethod triangulation. The technique of data analysis used in this research is interactive analysistechnique.The result of this research is the conclusion that: problem based instruction model can improvethe study result of social studies about the struggle during netherlands and japan colonization throughproblem based instruction model to the VA students in SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar semester IIin the academic year of 2014/2015. It is proven by the students score. In the pre research their score is 65.Then, 68 in cycle I, 75 in cycle II and 82 in cycle III as well as determined in the indicator.Key words: Study Result, Problem based instruction, Social Studies.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the low learning result of intensive reading of students which one of them is caused by less active, creative, and innovative learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CIRC model of intensive reading learning outcomes of third grade students of SDN Bogorame Rembang. This research is a quantitative research with Pre-Experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posstest type. The sample technique used is nonprobability sampling with saturated sampling type. Population in this research is all student class III SDN Bogorame Rembang academic year 2017/2018. The result of the research shows that CIRC model is effective toward students' intensive reading learning as evidenced by t-test with  tcount = 4,4986> ttable = 2,1448.Keywords: CIRC, The Results of Learning Intensive Reading Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya hasil belajar membaca intensif siswa yang salah satunya diakibatkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang kurang aktif, kreatif, dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model CIRC terhadap hasil belajar membaca intensif siswa kelas III SDN Bogorame Rembang. Penelitian  ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental dengan jenis One Group Pretest-Posstest. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims at explaining the symbols used in the novel and describing the values of optimistic of life reflected in the symbols used in Coelho’s The Alchemist. This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this study is the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The collecting data process is a note-taking technique. This study is also categorized as library research. Based on the findings and discussion, the researcher draws the conclusion such follows. First, there are six elements or values which characterize someone as the one who has an optimistic view of life and these ones are reflected as the symbols used in this novel. They are the values of hope, faith, power, struggle, positive-thinking, and respect. Second, that there are twelve symbols used in The Alchemist, those symbols are divided into three groups which consist of four symbols of characters, two symbols of events or concepts and six symbols of things. The result of the study shows that the twelve symbols in The Alchemist are how the author addresses Optimistic through a story of self-quest of the author. According to the whole finding, the symbols lead the readers to understand the message of Paulo Coelho that everybody can find their happiness in themselves.  Keywords: Concept of optimistic of life, Symbol, Self-quest. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam novel dan menggambarkan nilai-nilai optimistis kehidupan yang tercermin dalam simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam Coelho's The Alchemist. Penelitian ini diklasifikasikan sebagai metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data primer dari penelitian ini adalah novel The Alchemist karya Paulo Coelho. Proses pengumpulan data adalah teknik mencatat. Penelitian ini juga termasuk penelitian kepustakaan. Berdasarkan temuan dan diskusi, peneliti menarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut. Pertama, ada enam elemen atau nilai-nilai yang mencirikan seseorang sebagai orang yang memiliki pandangan hidup yang optimis dan yang tercermin sebagai simbol yang digunakan dalam novel ini. Mereka adalah nilai-nilai harapan, iman, kekuatan, perjuangan, pemikiran positif, dan rasa hormat. Kedua, bahwa ada dua belas simbol yang digunakan dalam The Alchemist, simbol-simbol itu dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yang terdiri dari empat simbol karakter, dua simbol peristiwa atau konsep dan enam simbol benda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua belas simbol dalam The Alchemist adalah bagaimana penulis membahas Optimistic melalui kisah pencarian diri penulis. Menurut seluruh temuan itu, simbol-simbol itu mengarahkan para pembaca untuk memahami pesan Paulo Coelho bahwa setiap orang dapat menemukan kebahagiaan mereka dalam diri mereka sendiri. Kata kunci: Konsep optimistis kehidupan, Simbol, Self-quest.

Abstract

Introducing English as foreign language for children constitutes an improtant thing to be donesince they were in golden age period. This can be the strating point for further languagelearning. Even it just limited to introducing English vocabulary, but it must be done carefully incorrect way. In doing this, educator must rely on the theory of language development in theirlearning process. Those are nativism, behaviorism and cognitivsm. Beside that, educator mustinternalize all the factors of language development in educating English for children. Abstract

ABSTRACTVocabulary is essential component of all use of language. When the students acquaint new vocabulary, they must know the meaning of words. They must also know how to arrange  individual  words  within  the  sentence.  Vocabulary  helps  the  students  to express their ideas fluently and effectively. The aims of this study were to know whether Word Hunts can improve students vocabulary mastery and to find out how Words Hunts improve the vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of SMP N 1  Mojogedang  in  2017/2018  Academic  Year.  This  study  was  conducted  at  the eleventh grade of   SMPN 1 Mojogedang. The method of the study was classroom action research which was conducted from November 2017 until January 2018. The data were collected through test (oral test) and non-test (observation, interview, and documentation). While, to analyze the data was used t-test. The result of this study showed  that  the implementation  of  Word  Hunts  was  succsessful  to  improve  the students‟ vocabulary  mastery.  The  mean  score  increased  from  52.09  in  pre-test became 75.55 in post-test 1 and became 86.61 in post-test 2. It can be concluded that Word Hunts was appropriate to improve the students‟ vocabulary mastery in teaching and learning process. Moreover, the class condition were more attractive and more fun during teaching and learning process. Keywords: Word Hunts, Classroom Action Research, Vocabulary Mastery. ABSTRAKKosakata adalah komponen penting dari semua penggunaan bahasa. Ketika siswa memperkenalkan kosa kata baru, mereka harus tahu arti kata-kata. Mereka juga harus tahu bagaimana mengatur kata-kata individual dalam kalimat. Kosakata membantu siswa untuk mengekspresikan ide-ide mereka dengan lancar dan efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Word Hunts dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Words Hunts meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas delapan SMP N 1 Mojogedang pada Tahun Akademik 2017/2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI SMPN 1 Mojogedang. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dari November 2017 hingga Januari 2018. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes (tes lisan) dan non-tes (observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi). Sedangkan untuk menganalisis data digunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Word Hunts berhasil meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa. Skor rata-rata meningkat dari 52,09 pada pre-test menjadi 75,55 pada post-test 1 dan menjadi 86,61 pada post-test 2. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Word Hunts tepat untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Selain itu, kondisi kelas lebih menarik dan lebih menyenangkan selama proses belajar mengajar. Kata kunci: Perburuan Kata, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Penguasaan Kosakata.

Abstract

Education is important for the individual character formation. One of the characters that must beowned by an individual is the concern for the environment. Cultivate characters should be doneearly. Education in the Primary School is one of the foundations in developing the character ofstudents from an early age so that students have a strong character, intelligent, noble, and steadypersonality. Cultivate characters about the environmental care in the school can be done througha environmentally learning process, integrating environmental curriculum, extracurricularactivities, habituation related to the environment, school environment, and supported by theschool facilities that are environmentally friendly. Abstract

Books are important world windows in human life. However, receiving a book that is only considered as something normal is not necessary if it is not read. Reading is very important for everyone. By reading, science will increase and be able to increase knowledge and insight. However, this reading activity has not been done much, especially for students. The benefits of reading for early childhood can add vocabulary, train children's memory, practice coordination, train child safety, develop children's interests, gather interest in reading children, recognize simple writing, recognize and understand letters, add child words, communicate quickly. The expected goal in the development of Bupis is to realize the School Literacy Movement to welcome Baku Gernas in Dahlia Cluster, Parakan District, Temanggung Regency. After Bupis development activities were carried out, the results of the teacher's skills showed the percentage of the suitability of the contents of the reading with the theme before the action was carried out by 65.7% can be increased to 80.7% after guidance was carried out. On other indicators, namely word selection of 69.4% increased to 77.8%. While the results of observations of children's reading interest in the indicator of children taking time to read every day increased from 61.4% to 85.7%, and indicators of pleasure when reading increased from 57.8% to 100%. Based on the description in the discussion, it can be concluded that the development of Bupis can improve teacher skills and increase children's reading interest. The teacher who initially did not have the skills in making Bupis, with guidance that supports the teacher is able to improve skills in making Bupis in accordance with the theme of learning in PAUD institutions, the choice of words in making Bupis is also adjusted to the development budget by the child. The skills of teachers in developing Bupis with indicators averaged 79.25%. Development of Bupis can also increase children's reading interest. Children who originally did not have the interest to read because of the absence of library facilities and other sources of information, with the existence of Bupis children's reading interest can be supported by an average indicator of 92.85%. Key words: Bupis, Literasi, Gernas Baku

Abstract

This paper aimed to know how the perception of students on the use of e-learning with Edmodo in Mechanic lecture. The data is obtained by a questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS.22. The method used in this research is combining description and quantitative. The result shows that 39 respondents or students give a good perception on the use of e-learning. They are very interested in e-learning with Edmodo. The Mechanics lectures run effectively and efficiently. Based on questionnaire analysis, 12,8% doubtful students,  23,1% strongly agree students, 64,1 % agree students on use e-learning with Edmodo in Mechanics lectures. Edmodo also gives more beneficial to learning. Data diperoleh melalui angket dan dianalis dengan menggunakan SPSS.22. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah perpaduan antara dekriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 39 responden memberikan persepsi yang baik terhadap penerapan e-learning. Mereka sangat tertarik dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan e-learning dengan platform edmodo. Perkuliahan Mekanika berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. Berdasarkan data hasil analisis angket diperoleh mahasiswa  sebesar 23,1% sangat setuju,  64,1% setuju, dan 12,8% ragu-ragu terhadap penerapan e-learning berbasis platform edmodo pada perkuliahan Mekanika. Edmodo memberikan banyak kelebihan dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : e-learning, Edmodo, Persepsi Mahasiswa, Mekanik, Perkuliahan.
