Abstract

One of professional skills required to be developed is an approriate and effective learningmethod. Learning activities in the classroom will be effective when the teacher uses instructionalmedia to invest the concept, so it can delete verbalitic concept, in particular in counting learning.This experiment research aims to know the influence of visual media on the counting concept ofthe first grade student of elementary school at Surakarta city. The data analysis acquired thitung1,88 is greater than ttabel 1,68. Therefore, there is an influence of visual media toward countingconcept of the first grade student of elementary school.Keyword : influece, drawing, count

Abstract

AbstractThis research is an experimental study which was implemented to find out the significance difference of students’ writing skill when they were taught using Whole Brain Writing Game. The design of this research is Quasi-experimental using pre-test post test and control group. This research was conducted in grade VIIC and VIID SMP N 7 Surakarta. Grade VIIC was used as experimental class while VIID was used as control class. Both classes were taught using the same topic and time period but using different method. Experimental was taught using Whole Brain Writing Game, while control class was taught using Direct Instruction Method. In collecting data, the researcher used pre-test and post test. The data were analyzed using t-test formula to know the effectiveness of the treatment given in experimental class. The result of t-test calculation showed that to = 1.60 is lower than tt (62, 0.05) = 1.67. The null hypothesis (Ho) was accepted. It means that there was no significance difference on the students taught using Whole Brain Writing Game (WBWG) and students who were taught using Direct Instruction Method (DIM). Even though the result of their mean scores are not significantly different, the students taught using WBWG had better writing achievement with mean score 74.34 while mean score in control class 71.16. The difference of the mean scores was 3.18. It can be concluded that the writing skill of students taught using Whole Brain Writing Game is not significantly difference from the students taught using Direct Instruction Method even though from the result of mean score, students who were taught using Whole Brain Writing Game having better writing achievement than those who were taught using Direct Instruction Method.Key words: Whole Brain Writing Game, Teaching Writing, Experimental Research  AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian experimental yang dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan kemampuan writing siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Whole Brain Writing Game. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi-Experimental dengan menggunakan pre-test-post test dan control grup. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VIIC dan VIID SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta. Kelas VIIC digunakan sebagai kelas experimental sedangkan kelas VIID digunakan sebagai kelas kontrol. Kedua kelas tersebut diajarkan dengan menggunakan topik dan periode waktu  yang sama tetapi menggunakan metode yang berbeda, kelas experimen menggunakan Whole Brain Writing Game sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan Direct Instruction Method. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan pre test dan post test. Data yang didapat kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan t-test formula untuk mengetahui efektivitas treatment yang diberikan di kelas experiment. Hasil penghitungan t-test menunjukkan bahwa to = 1.60 lebih rendah dari tt (62, 0.05) = 1.67. Dengan demikian null hypothesis (Ho) diterima yang berarti bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Whole Brain Writing Game (WBWG) dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan Direct Instruction Method. Meskipun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan WBWG memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik dengan nilai rata-rata 74.34 sedangkan nilai rata-rata kelas control 71.16. Perbedaan antara keduanya sebesar 3.18. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan writing siswa yang diajar menggunakan Whole Brain Writing Game tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan Direct Instruction Method meskipun  berdasarkan hasil nilai rata-rata mereka, siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode Whole Brain Writing Game memiliki kemampuan menulis yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar menggunakan Direct Instruction Method.Kata Kunci:     Whole Brain Writing Game, Pembelajaran Writing, Penelitian Eksperimental

Abstract

Abstract. This classroom action research aims to describe the improvement of students’ learning activity and their learning result through cooperative learning in the form of Numbered-head Together (NHT). The study was done in two cycles, involving 34 students of grade III of MI Negeri Grogol in the first semester of 2016/2017 academic year. The results of the study are as follows: 1) There was an improvement on students’ learning activity score, starting from 2.51 (less engaged) to 3.83 (highly engaged) in cycle I, 2) students’ average score on their learning result improved, starting from 65.91 (with maximum score of 85 and 35.29% or 12 students reaching the passing grade) in the prior stage to 79.74 (with minimum score of 100 and minimum score of 55 and 82.35% or 28 students reaching the passing grade) in Cycle II.Keywords: learning activity, learning result, Numbered-head Together (NHT) Abstrak.Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered-Head Together (NHT), dilakukan 2  siklus. Siswa yang diteliti kelas III (Tiga) MI Negeri Grogol  semester 1 TP 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Hasil  penelitian ;.  1) Nilai rerata aktivitas kondisi awal 2.51  (Kurang Aktif). Kondisi akhir siklus II nilai rerata 3,83 (Sangat Aktif) . 2) Hasil  belajar Matematika kondisi awal nilai tertinggi 85, nilai rerata 65.91. Ketuntasan siswa 12 siswa (35.29%). Kondisi akhir siklus II dengan nilai terendah 55, nilai tertinggi 100, nilai rerata 79.74 dan sebanyak 28 siswa (82.35%) mencapai nilai KKM.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil  belajar, Numbered-Head Together (NHT)

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the competence of teachers in applying the model of learning and classroom management in the classroom is more appropriate to the subject by the teacher IPA SMP Negeri 1 Ngemplak Semester 2, in 2013/2014 school year This study was conducted to the subject teacher IPA SMP Negeri1 Ngemplak Boyolali, Central Java province in Semester 2, 2013/2014 school year. Samples taken areall subject teachers science as a subject of research with action throughearly action, actioncycle If ollowed the second cycle. The method used in this research is Action Research School. The collection of data for the application of competence learning model and classroom management are observed at the beginning of the action, the actionfirst cycle, and the second cycle. Collecting data for observations guiding principals activity throughpeer observation one arly action, action first cycle, and the second cycle. Abstract

Abstract The purposes of this research are describing academic supervision with class visiting technique to the teachers on the Elementary School of Tasikagung in implementation educative learning on the first semester of 2017/2018 year academic and analyzing academic supervision with class visiting technique on the first semester of 2017/2018 year academic to the teachers on the Elementary School of Tasikagung pedagogic competency in implementation educative learning. The type of this research is School Action Research (SAR). This research is taken place on Elementary School of Tasikagung, Sub District of Rembang, Regency of Rembang. The subjects of this research are the teachers of the class and the subject matters ones on the Elementary School of Tasikagung on the first semester of 2017/2018 year academic. The subjects of this research are consists of 9 civil officer teachers and 4 non regular teachers. Technique of collecting data of this research is non test technique, consist of observation and documentation. The instruments of collecting data of this research are the sheets of observation and the camera application on the hand phone. Technique of analyzing data of this research is comparative description. The procedure of this research is cycle model that consist of 4 steps that are plan, action, observation and reflection. The results of this research are 1) academic supervision with class visiting technique is a direct observation with ideal position on observing the learning, 2) academic supervision with class visiting technique is a direct observation with out interview and intervention to the teachers who implement the learning, 3) academic supervision with class visiting techniques are an individual by the head master according to the class visiting schedule and a group with the interested teachers as reference to implement the educative learning, 4) academic supervision with class visiting technique increases the teachers pedagogic competency in implementation educative learning.Keywords: Pedagogic Competency, Teachers, Learning, Academic Supervision, Class Visiting. Abstrak Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas pada guru SDN Tasikagung dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang mendidik pada Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 dan menganalisis supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas pada Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru SDN Tasikagung dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang mendidik.Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah (PTS). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Tasikagung, Kecamatan Rembang, Kabupaten Rembang. Penelitian ini berlangsung pada awal Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Subyek penelitian ini adalah Guru Kelas dan Guru Mata Pelajaran SDN Tasikagung pada Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari 9 orang guru dengan status Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) dan 4 orang guru dengan atatus Guru Tidak Tetap (GTT). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik nontes, meliputi pengamatan dan dokumentasi kegiatan penelitian. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar pengamatan dan aplikasi kamera pada hand phone. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif komparatif. Prosedur penelitian ini adalah Model Siklus yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas dilakukan dengan mengamati kegiatan pembelajaran secara langsung pada posisi yang ideal untuk melakukan pengamatan, 2) Supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas dilakukan dengan mengamati kegiatan pembelajaran secara langsung tanpa wawancara maupun intervensi terhadap guru yang sedang menyelenggarakan pembelajaran tersebut, 3) Supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas dilakukan kepala sekolah seorang diri sebagai supervisor sesuai dengan jadwal kunjungan kelas maupun bersama-sama dengan guru-guru yang berminat sebagai acuan dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang mendidik, 4) Supervisi akademik teknik kunjungan kelas meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran yang mendidik.Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Pedagogik, Guru, Pembelajaran, Supervisi Akademik, Kunjungan Kelas.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe  research  aims:  (1)  to  find  out  whether  PQRST  technique  can improve the students‟ reading comprehension at ninth grade student of SMP 27 Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018, and (2) to know how far the improvement students‟ of reading comprehension using PQRST at ninth grade of SMP  27 Surakarta in  the academic  year of  2017/2018.  The researcher conducted  a  classroom  action  research  at  the  ninth  grade  of  SMP  N  27 Surakarta from September up to October 2017. This research was conducted in class  IX  F  which  consisted  of  27  students.  The  research  concerned  in improving students‟ reading comprehension on narrative texts using Preview Question Read Summarize and Test (PQRST) Technique. The research consisted  of  two  cycles.  The  procedure  of  action  research  consisted  of planning, implementation of the action, observation, and reflection. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation, interview and document. In analyzing the data, the researcher used quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The result of this research showed that Preview Question Read Summarize  and  Test  (PQRST)  Technique  can  improve  students‟ reading comprehension on narrative texts at ninth grade of SMP N 27 Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018. The improvement can be seen from the result of the test. It was 65.8 in pre-test, then it became 72.6 in post-test 1 and it became higher in post-test 2 (82.8). Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa pada teks naratif menggunakan Teknik Preview Question Read Summarize and Test (PQRST). Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Prosedur penelitian tindakan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Teknik Preview Question Read Summarize and Test (PQRST) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa pada teks naratif di kelas sembilan SMP N 27 Surakarta pada tahun akademik 2017/2018. Peningkatan itu bisa dilihat dari hasil tes. Itu 65,8 di pre-test, kemudian menjadi 72,6 di post-test 1 dan itu menjadi lebih tinggi di post-test 2 (82,8). Abstract

The problem of this research is the effort to improve the mathematics achievement aboutperimeter and area of plane through plane visual aids to the fourth grade students in SDN 01Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar at semester 1 in the academic year of 2014/2015.The purpose of this research is to improve the mathematics achievement about perimeterand area of plane to the fourth grade students in SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karanganyar atsemester 1 in the academic year of 204/2015 through plane visul aids in the learning process.The kind of this research is Classroom Action Research that consists of four stages. Theyare planning, carrying out the action, observation, and reflection. Those stages then build acycle. This research includes three cycles. The technique of data collecting is interactive analysismodel. It is the relationship among three components, they are: data reduction, data verification,and conclusion.The result of this research is it is can be drawn a conclusion that the use of plane visualaids can improve the mathematics achievements about perimeter and area of plane to the fourthstudents in SDN 01 Suruh Tasikmadu Karangnayar at semester 1 in the academic year of2014/2015. It can be seen from the average score in pre research is 62, while in cycle 1 is 70 and78 in cycle 2. Therefore, the use of plane visual aids can significantly improve the mathematicsachievement about perimeter and area of plane to the fourth grade students in SDN 01 SuruhTasikmadu Karanganyar at semester 1 in the academic year of 2014/2015.Key words: Plane visual aids, achievement, Mathematics.

Abstract

The research is aimed to analyze the struggle of women, especially women from a loweconomy class, in surviving thei lives as seen on the novel entitled ‘Mary Barton’ by ElizabethGaskell based on a Feminism Study. Elizabeth Gaskell has written this novel in the 19th centurywhen the industrial revolution has happened in England. In analyzing this novel, the researcherused descriptive qualitative method. There were two kinds of data sources: the primary datasources and the secondary data sources. The primary data source was the novel entitled ‘MaryBarton’ by Elizabeth Gaskell. Then, the secondary data were books, internet sources, andresearch journals which were related with this topic. The data collecting in this research waslibrary research by summarizing, paraphrasing, and documenting the data. The technique ofdata analysis was interactive data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The result of the analysisshowed that the novel illustrated the struggle of women from a low economy class in survivingtheir lives in the 19th century in England. The condition of poverty has made them to bestronger in facing their lives and struggling to get a better life. Mary Barton, as a maincharacter, became a heroine from a lower class to struggle against their poverty life and she didit well. In 19th century in England, there were many women who struggled in many aspects oftheir lives, such as economic aspect, social aspect, law and justice aspect, aesthetic aspect, andpsychological aspect. It was one of the impact of Indrustrial revolution in England at that timewhich has changed many sectors of life for women. So, it can be concluded that the struggle ofwomen in the world especially in England has been happened for many years. In England, it hasbecame bigger when the industrial revolution happened. ABSTRACTThe population in this study were students of class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018 in class 304. From 11 classes the number of members used 2 classes as a sample where class XI Ips 5 as a trial and class Mipa 1 as medical assistance. Thus the sampling technique in this study is Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire, observation and documentation. The questionnaire method is used to collect data about self-confidence, the observation method is used to obtain low self-confidence characteristics in students in the school environment and learning activities, while the registrant method is used to obtain activity data. Based on the data analysis, data analysis techniques with t-test. It can be concluded that there is a good social assistance for the development of student confidence in class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in 2017/2018 Academic Year. This is evidenced by t arithmetic = 13,043 consulted with t table with d.b = (N-1) = (27-1) = 26 in the significance level of 5% and 1%. So it can be calculated t arithmetic greater than t table or 2,056 <13,043> 2,779. Thus the hypothesis that reads "There is an influence of personal-social guidance services to increase student confidence in class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in 2017/2018 Academic Year" is proven to be true at the significance level of 5% and 1%. Keywords: Personal-social guidance, Development of Confidence ABSTRAKPopulasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 kelas XI yang berjumlah 304. Dari  11  kelas jumlah anggota populasi tersebut digunakan 2 kelas  sebagai sampel di mana kelas XI Ips 5 sebagai uji coba dan kelas Mipa 1 sebagai pemberian treatment. Dengan demikian teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini adalah Simple Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket, observasi dan dokumentasi. Metode angket dipergunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tentang percaya diri, metode observasi dipergunakan untuk mengetahui ciri-ciri percaya diri yang rendah pada siswa dalam lingkungan sekolah dan kegiatan belajar, sedangkan metode dokumentasi dipergunakan untuk memperoleh data  kegiatan. Berdasarkan dari analisis data teknik analisis data dengan t-tes., dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh layanan bimbingan pribadi sosial terhadap pengembangan percaya diri siswa di kelas XI  SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Ini dibuktikan dengan t hitung = 13,043 dikonsultasikan dengan t tabel dengan d.b = (N-1) = (27-1) = 26 dalam taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel atau 2,056 < 13,043 > 2,779. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang berbunyi  “Ada pengaruh layanan bimbingan pribadi-sosial terhadap pengembangan percaya diri siswa  di kelas XI  SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018” terbukti kebenarannya pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan 1%. Kata kunci : Bimbingan pribadi-sosial, Pengembangan percaya diri

Abstract

The material in learning about temperature and measurement are one of the dificultmaterials in physic subject of the seventh grade students of MTs Islamiyah Sumber Mulyo,because it has closely relationship that be the difficult subject in Math. The objective of this studyis to know wheter there is a significant correlation or not between the fraction operationachievement and the students’ physic achievement with the topic ‘ temperature and measurement’of the seventh grade students of MTs Islamiyah Sumber Mulyo in academic year 2014/2015.Method of the study is quantitatif research and the population is all of the seventh grade studentsof MTs Islamiyah Sumber Mulyo. The random sampling technique was used. In collecting of thedata, the writers used the test to VIIB as the sample. It measured by using Pearson ProductMoment formula, regression equation, determination coeffision and ttest. Based on the calculationof the data, it was found that there is a significant correlation between the fraction operationachievement and the students’ physic achievement by the topic ‘ temperature and measurement’.Key Words : the fraction operation, students’ physic achievement, and temperature andmeasurement.
