Abstract

Research "Utilization of Traditional Games as Media Learning Early Childhood to DevelopAspects of Moral and Language Children" has the purpose of knowing the type of traditionalgames that can be developed as a learning medium, and examine the use of traditional gameseffectively used as a medium of learning can develop moral aspects and language olds early.The method used in this research is the Research and Develoment because researchers want todevelop traditional games as Jamuran Games and sluku-sluku bathok Games to develop moraland languages (Arabic, English, Javanese and Indonesian) early childhood. The development oflearning tools compiled in this study refers to the type of development model 4-D (four D model),which consists of four stages. The fourth stage is the stage of definition (define), stage design(design), the development stage (development), and the deployment phase (disseminate).Results of this research is Jamuran Games and sluku-sluku bathok Games as effective learningmedia can develop moral and linguistic aspects of early childhood with a percentage of 80% oflearners who pass the study.Keywords: Traditional Games, Media Education, Early Childhood

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan gambar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa pada teks deskriptif dan untuk mengetahui penerapan gambar sebagai media dalam mengajar menulis pada teks deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas tujuh SMP Negeri 1 Gemolong Sragen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Gemolong Sragen. Sampel berjumlah 40 siswa. Desain penelitian tindakan dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan guru-guru bahasa Inggris senior dalam mengamati implementasi gambar sebagai media dalam mengajar menulis pada teks deskriptif. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan gambar sebagai media dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa dan kondisi kelas menjadi lebih menyenangkan.Kata kunci: Persepsi Siswa, Media, Gambar, Teks Deskriptif, CAR

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of pre-marital therapeutic communication for self-readiness for marriage to Muslim brides. The subjects of this study were Muslim brides who have marriage consent with an age limit of 18 years for marriage approval of 24 subjects. The technique of collecting data is done by the summed rating method (Summated Ratings Method) from Likers. The scale used is a kind of marriage readiness scale compiled by researchers based on aspects of Berger's marriage readiness (2005). The data analysis technique used was paired t-test samples comparing the results of pre-test and post-test in the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study prove the hypothesis which states there is a connection with the communication of therapeutic communication before marriage on the readiness of self towards marriage is proven. This can be seen from the results of the hypothesis analysis which states p = 0.007 which means that p <0.05 is proven significant in the group given the discussion. Whereas in the control group, no marriage readiness was found to be significantly proven from a paired sample test, the t test proved the value of p = 0.474 so that p <0.05 so that it did not have a significant increase in marriage readiness. This means increasing pre-marital therapeutic communication can increase self-readiness in pre-marital individuals, specifically in the aspect of psychological maturity, namely honing communication skills and positive acceptance.Keywords: Counseling, Communication, Therapeutic, MarriageABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan komunikasi terapeutik pra menikah terhadap kesiapan diri menuju perikahan pada calon pengantin muslim. Subjek penelitian ini adalah calon pengantin muslim yang memiliki orientasi pernikahan dengan batasan usia 18 tahun hingga menjelang pernikahan sebanyak 24 subjek. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode rating yang dijumlahkan (Method of Summated Ratings) dari Likers. Skala yang digunakan satu macam  yaitu skala kesiapan pernikahan yang disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan aspek-aspek kesiapan pernikahan Berger (2005). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah paired sampel t test yang membandingkan hasil pre test dan post test pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan ada hubungan pengaruh penyuluhan komunikasi terapeutik pra pernikahan pada kesiapan diri menuju pernikahan terbukti. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari hasil uji analisis hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa p=0,007 yang artinya p<0,05 sehingga terbukti signifikan pada kelomopok yang diberikan penyuluhan. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol, tidak ditemukan kesiapan pernikahan yang menigkat secara signifikan terbukti dari uji paired sample t test yang menyatakan nilai p=0,474 sehingga p<0,05 sehingga tidak memiliki peningkatan kesiapan pernikahan yang signifikan.   Hal ini berarti  penyuluhan komunikasi terapeutik pra pernikahan dapat meningkatkan kesiapan diri pada individu pra menikah, khususnya dalam aspek kematangan psikologis, yakni mengasah keterampilan komunikasi dan penerimaan positif.Kata Kunci: Penyuluhan, Komunikasi, Terapeutik, Pernikahan

Abstract

This research is aimed to know whether picture series can improve students' writing skill or not and how is the class condition when it is used to teach narrative. The research was done in English Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Slamet Riyadi University. The subject of the study was the second semester students of English Department Academic Year 2013/2014 consisting of 18 students. It was a classroom action research. The researcher did some steps for each cycle. They were planning, action, observation, and reflection. In collecting the data, the researcher applied several techniques including observation, field notes, interview, questionnaire, and test. To analyze the test, the researcher used descriptive statistics including the average scores and students' score categories. To analyze the qualitative data, the researcher used flow model analysis that draws the conclusions from available data. She observed the students' response in teaching learning process supported by field notes, interview, and questionnaire and finally, she drew the conclusion. In conclusion, picture series is empirically able to improve students' writing skill, it can be shown from the result of Pre Test, Post Test-1 and Post Test-2.The result of Pre-Test is 61,37 , The result of Post Test-1 is 66,60, and the result of Post Test-2 is 73,57 . It means that the students score in writing improves significantly. The class condition becomes more alive and conducive. In short, it is recommended to the lecturer  to use picture series in teaching writing.

Abstract

AbstractReading becomes one of the most effective activities to get information from various sources, both online and offline. However, today's reading culture let alone reading textbooks seems to have started to decrease. Similarly, young people, especially students. Yet through the process of reading can improve thinking power, sharpen the view, and broaden the horizons. This research uses descriptive quantitative approach.  The sample of this research was taken by random sampling technique. Methods of data collection in this study used observation, questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The Data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis percentage. The result of this research shows that the reading interest condition of PGSD UPGRIS students consists of low category 96,96%, medium category 3.04%, while high category and very high 0%. In addition, the obstacles in growing interest in reading students consisting of six indicators namely, physical weakness, intelligence, interests, talents, habits, and the number of student learning expenses produce an average of 42.42%, it was stated as being in the medium category.Keywords: reading interest, students. AbstrakMembaca menjadi salah satu kegiatan yang efektif guna mendapatkan informasi dari berbagai sumber, baik secara online maupun offline. Namun, saat ini budaya membaca apalagi membaca buku teks nampaknya sudah mulai berkurang. Begitu pula dengan generasi muda khususnya mahasiswa. Padahal melalui proses membaca dapat meningkatkan daya pikir, mempertajam pandangan, dan memperluas wawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian diambil melalui teknik random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, angket, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi minat baca mahasiswa PGSD UPGRIS terdiri atas kategori rendah sebesar 96,96%, kategori sedang 3,04%, sedangkan kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi 0%. Selain itu, kendala dalam menumbuhkan minat baca mahasiswa yang terdiri dari enam indikator yakni, kelemahan fisik, intelegensi, minat, bakat, kebiasaan, dan banyaknya beban belajar mahasiswa menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 42,42% termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Kata kunci: minat baca, mahasiswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis  research  concerned  on  improving  students’  writing  skill  using Written Cued Retell Strategy. The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to know that Written Cued Retell Strategy can improve students’ writing skill at the eighth grade students of SMPN 7 Surakarta especially class 8G in academic year 2017/2018, and 2) to know how the implementation of Written Cued Retell Strategy at the eighth grade students of SMPN 7 Surakarta especially class 8G in academic year 2017/2018 is. In this research, the researcher used qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method consisted of observation, interview, and documentation. While the quantitative method was calculating the mean score of pre test, post test 1 and 2, and t-test. The result of this research showed that Written Cued Retell Strategy could improve students’ writing skill in recount text at the eighth grade students of SMP N 7 Surakarta especially class 8G. The improvement could be seen from the result of the tests. The mean score of pre test was 54, post test 1 was 71,50, and post test 2 was 85,50. Based on the result of the analysis  using  t-test,  the  t-table  in  significance  5%=2.042  and  significance 1%=2.750. It could be concluded that t0 > tt in significance 5% and 1% (2.042 < 6.07  >  2.750).  It  meant  that  there  was  significant  improvement  in  students’ writing skill using Written Cued Retell Strategy in pre test and post tests. Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Students’ Writing Skill, Written CuedRetell Strategy. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berkaitan dengan peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa menggunakan Strategi Menceritakan Kembali Cued yang Ditulis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) untuk mengetahui bahwa Strategi Retell Cued Retell dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa pada siswa kelas delapan SMPN 7 Surakarta khususnya kelas 8G pada tahun akademik 2017/2018, dan 2) untuk mengetahui bagaimana Implementasi Strategi Menceritakan Kembali Cued Tertulis pada siswa kelas delapan SMPN 7 Surakarta khususnya kelas 8G pada tahun akademik 2017/2018 adalah. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode kualitatif terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan metode kuantitatif menghitung skor rata-rata pre test, post test 1 dan 2, dan t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Menulis Kembali Cued dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa dalam teks recount pada siswa kelas delapan SMP N 7 Surakarta khususnya kelas 8G. Peningkatan itu bisa dilihat dari hasil tes. Nilai rata-rata pre tes adalah 54, post test 1 adalah 71,50, dan post test 2 adalah 85,50. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan uji-t, t-tabel signifikansi 5% = 2,042 dan signifikansi 1% = 2,750. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa t0> tt signifikansi 5% dan 1% (2,042 <6,07> 2,750). Ini berarti bahwa ada peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis siswa menggunakan Strategi Menceritakan Kembali Cued Tertulis dalam tes awal dan post tes. Kata kunci: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Keterampilan Menulis Siswa, Cued TertulisMenceritakan kembali strategi.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is whether improving the study result of Science aboutidentifying the way greenery makes its own food to the fifith grade students in SDN 03 KalingTasikmadu Karanganyar in the acdemic year of 2015/2016 can be done by using the picture andpicture model. The purpose of this research is to improve the study result of Science aboutidentifying the way greenery makes its own food through picture and picture model. Thisresearch is in the form of Classroom Action Reasearch which is carried out in SDN 03 KalingTasikmadu Karangnayar in the academic year of 2015/2016. The subject of the reseacrh is thefifth grade students that consists of 23 students.The research was carried out for 3 months, strated from August 2015 until October 2015.The data resource and data in this research is the students’ test result and the document. Thedata collecting method used in this research is observation and document analysis. The result ofthe research shows a significant improvement in the students’ Science study result aboutidentifying the way greenery maks its own food. In the pre research, the students’ score is 65,22.While in cycle I is 73,04, 78,70 in cycle II, and 85,65 in cycle III. Therefore, it can be concludedthat picture and picture model can improve the study result of Science about identifying the waygreenery makes its own food to the fifith grade students in SDN 03 Kaling TasikmaduKaranganyar in the acdemic year of 2015/2016.key words: Study result, picture and picture model, Science.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of lifeskills education (Life Skill Education) to provide children with special needs in SLB Bina PutraSalatiga to survive in society (research in the academic year 2009/2010).In accordance with the purpose, the research method used is descriptive qualitativemethod. In this study, the subjects were students of Bina Putra SMPLB Salatiga in the academicyear 2009/2010, totaling 13 students. The collecting data in this study is by using techniques ofobservation with the aim to find out directly about the Effectiveness Guidance private ofteachers in providing life skills education (Life Skill Education), types and kinds of life skills,barriers, difficulties in providing skills to students SLB Bina Putra Salatiga SMPLB level.To test the data used technique of data triangulation, researcher and triangulationmethodology. While the analysis pursued with data collection, data reduction, data presentationand conclusion.From observations and interviews can be seen that Children with special needs with thediversity of its characteristics will successfully learn life skills (Life Skills) which dijarkan withpersonal guidance of teachers as a provision so that they can later have the skills used tosurvive in society in days to come.Keywords : Life Skill Education, Children with special needs.

Abstract

AbstractWriting is not only the act of arranging graphic symbols, but writing is also an integral part of communication when the other person is not there in front of us. It means that written language includes the organization of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences into coherent and cohesive paragraphs and texts. The aims of the study are as following : (1) To find out whether the use of Herringbone technique in teaching English improves the students’ writing skill at SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta in 2017/2018 academic year. (2) To describe the implementation of Herringbone technique to improve the students’ writing skill of the eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta in 2017/2018 Academic Year.This action research was carried out at the eighth grade students of class VIII H in SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta consisted of 31 students, 16 female and 15 male. The researcher conducted 2 cycles of classroom action research. In collecting the data, interview, observation, documentation and test were used. In analyzing the data, the researcher used Qualitative and Quantitative data analysis.The result of this research showed that herringbone technique improved the students writing skill. The improvements of the students writing skill were seen from the results of the tests. The students mean score in pre-test was (46,45) . The students mean score in post-test 1 was (68,29)  and the students score in post-test 2 was (78,42), there was a significant result between pre-test and post-test 2. The technique also made the students felt fun and interested. Keywords : Writing Skill, Herringbone technique, Classroom Action Research. AbstrakMenulis bukan hanya tindakan mengatur simbol grafis, tetapi menulis juga merupakan bagian integral dari komunikasi ketika orang lain tidak ada di depan kita. Ini berarti bahwa bahasa tertulis mencakup pengorganisasian kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat ke dalam paragraf dan teks yang koheren dan kohesif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan teknik Herringbone dalam mengajar Bahasa Inggris meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa di SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta pada tahun akademik 2017/2018. (2) Untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teknik Herringbone untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta pada tahun akademik 2017/2018. Penelitian tindakan ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII kelas VIII H di Indonesia. SMP Negeri 7 Surakarta terdiri dari 31 siswa, 16 perempuan dan 15 laki-laki. Peneliti melakukan 2 siklus penelitian tindakan kelas. Dalam mengumpulkan data, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes digunakan. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan analisis data Kualitatif dan Kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik herringbone meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa terlihat dari hasil tes. Nilai rata-rata siswa dalam pre-test adalah (46,45). Nilai rata-rata siswa pada post-test 1 adalah (68,29) dan skor siswa pada post-test 2 adalah (78,42), ada hasil yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test 2. Teknik ini juga membuat para siswa merasa senang dan tertarik. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Menulis, Teknik Herringbone, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.

Abstract

This research aims at (1) identifying whether the teachers already utilizing informationtechnology in teaching or not (2) identifying the factors influencing the usage of the technology inteaching (3) identifying the effectifity of the usage of the technology in teaching.This research is a qualitative research conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. Thetechnique applied in data collecting is quetioners, observation and interview, quetioner is used tocollect the data about the teachers competence in applying information technology in teaching.Interview and observation is used for collecting the data about the factors influencing the usageof the technology in teaching as well as the effectifity of the usage.The result shows that (1) in general, the teachers already apllied information technology inteaching process (2) in applying information technology, the teachers competence andinfrastructure such as computer, LCD and internet connection is needed (3) the teachie withinformation technology is very effective.
