Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to increase the repertoire of educators in developing a pattern of educating adolescentsto achieve a perfectly mature so that it can manifest noble citizens and productive. The method of this paper includesthe study of literature and empirical studies in the field . This paper covers aspects : soft skills juvenile , adolescentcounseling relationship , counselors and dignified performance . Soft skills is a question of personal , social ,communication , and behavioral self-management , it covers a wide spectrum , namely : self-awareness , confidence ,adaptability , critical thinking , organizational awareness , attitude, initiative , emphathy , confidence , integrity , controlself-esteem, leadership, problem solving , risk-taking and time management . While the teenagers in question arechildren aged 12 to 19 years . The conclusion is that soft skills can be improved with better student through theapplication of relationship counseling adolescents , it is necessary to develop the application for counselingadolescent relationships on an ongoing basis .Keywords : Soft skills teens , dignified counselor , relationship counseling teenagers .

Abstract

According to Enung Fatimah (2010: 202) overprotective is excessive protection ofchildren that can cause discomfort to them. While parents have to prove his role in givingaffection to their children by doing anything that is considered the best for the children, what isconsidered good sometimes not necessarily good for the children and sometimes children dowithout thinking beforehand whether the children like doing it or not. Overprotective is usuallydone by parents to their children who are still considered too young and usually unfavorable tothe development of the children’s independenceThe parents shall care for and protect children but it does not mean parents take overevery problems. Abstract

Entrepreneurship is an important element which is needed by everyone, includes Vocational HighSchool students’, especially when they run on the job trainning. The purpose of the research isthe product of group guidance service model that effectively enhances Vocational High Schoolstudents’ entrepreneurship. This is a kind of Research and Development (R & D) research. Theresult of preliminary study shows that the group guidance service which is held in SMKMuhammadiyah Solo is not ideal yet and doesn’t integrate the life skills values in the process.This condition is becoming one of the factors so the students reach minimum level ofentrepreneurship. Based on that preliminary study, the group guidance service based on life skillsto enhance students’ entrepreneurship is being developed. The trial result in the field shows thatthe students’ entrepreneurship is getting higher. The average score of the first evaluation is 149,2and the average score of the final evaluation is 193,7 or it can be said it raised up to 44,5 points.It means that the service model which is developed is effective to enhance Vocational HighSchool students’ entrepreneurship.Key words : group guidance service model, life skills, and entrepreneurship

Abstract

The background of the research is the phenomenon of people facing troubles and challengein life which is responded with hopelessness. They are considered to have low adversity quotient.These symptoms were found during counseling among students of Guidence and Counceling ofSlamet Riyadi University 2015. This phenomenon was recorded by their scores which were onlyE and D. It was found that the everage number is two for each class group. The improvement ofadversity quotient was conducted through basic service counceling program namely classicalprogram. This program drives councelors to make a direct contact with the students in theirclassrooms through discussion and ideas sharing. It is hoped that the students’ adversityquotients improve.The topic given during the classical counceling were those related to the goal of thecounceling in the adversity quotient research. They are destructive thinking, adversity quotient,education film entitled “Succesful diffables”, “INSIGHT 12 SPSS”The research applied class room action research with two cycles. The steps cover 1)planning, 2) action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. This research also applied adversity responseprofile for data collecting.The result shows that the students’ adversity quotient improved after cycle 1. It is indicatedby the decrease of the number for those with the lowest score 31,25% became only 6,25%, andfor those with medium score 9,375 increased into 31,25%, and those with highest score 9,375%.In cycle 2 the number increased significantly signed by the disapearance of the lowest and lowcgroup.Based on the research, it is suggested; 1) to increase the adversity quotient for students,classical counceling with speech and film is suggested, 2) to choose interesting film to be usedduring the counceling to increase the adversity quotient.Keywords: adversity quotient, classical counceling

Abstract

This article deals with science development method. The substantion is methods to acquireknowledge from some perspective, development scientific and unscientific knowledge method,concepts and type research throught quantitative and qualitative method, the distinction ofknowledge development from other knowledge. From those four substantion then it explained oneby one in detail. The scientific method must follow these steps: formulating problem/question,doing observation, formulating a hypothesis, doing experiment, collecting and analyzing resultsand making conclusion. Abstract

The aims of this research is to describe the implementation of animation media based onfolklore at the seventh grade student of MTS Al Huda Gondangrejo Karanganyar 2013/2014academic year.The method used in this research is classroom action research which consists of fourstages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research was conducted in two cycles.This subject of the research was class VIII A MTS Al Huda Gondangrejo. The data obtained werefrom quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data were collected from pre test andpost test students writing mean scores. The qualitative data were collected by using sometechniques including test and non test.The research findings prove that the use of animation media based on folklore can improvethe students writing skill. The improvement of students writing skill included 1) content, 2)organization, 3) vocabulary, 4) grammar, and 5) mechanic. The improvements are clearly seenon their mean score in every cycle. The mean of score of the pre-test was 65, 19, the mean ofscore of post test one was 68,3 the mean of score of post test two was 71,06. From the descriptionabove, it shows that there is an improvement of students writing skill. It means that animationmedia based on folklore can improve the students writing skill on narrative.Key words: Media, Animation, Folklore, Writing Skill, Narrative.

Abstract

The research conducted to describe: (1) the role of task based learning (TBL) in teachingEnglish to the first semester students of MKU; (2) the procedures of TBL conducted by thelecturer on English subject; and (3) the strength and weaknesses of TBL applied on teachingEnglish subject. The research was conducted at Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta in theacademic year of 2014/ 2015. The result of the research shown four major findings which consistof: (1) the role of TBL; (2) the procedures of TBL; and (3) the strength and weaknesses of TBL.The research finding of this study indicates that task based learning gives contribution onteaching and learning activities in teaching English to the first semester students at MKUprograms. Moreover, based on research findings, it is expected that the lecturer will carefullymake preparatin before entering the classroom based on the students need, interest, and thestudents’ language competency. It is also expected that in learning language, the students shouldgive active participation by having interaction with others during the lessons and the for theother researchers who intended to conduct the research more detail about task based learning inteaching English subject, the researchers hope that the research findings can be used as areference for further research.Keywords: case study, task based learning, qualitative approaches, English learning.

Abstract

One of the efforts in early childhood education is to improve the cognitive abilities of children. Inthe pre-observation, at the early learning, children are still unable to consistently follow the rulesof the classl and can not stay calm for a moment in the classroom because basically they likegames. The purpose of this observation is to develop the cognition of the children through themedium of learning computers. The subject of this observation were 22 students of childrengroup’s A of TK Islam Makarima. Abstract

This research aims at: (1) improving the students’ major skill in microteaching practiceespecially the Fluency in Questioning using realia, (2) to describe how realia improves thestudents’ major skill in microteaching practice especially the Fluency in Questioning .This research is a classroom action research which is conducted during February untillMarch 2011. The subject of the research was sixth semester students of English LanguageEducation of FKIP UNISRI academic year of 2010/2011. This study was conducted in two cycles.The first cycle consisted of two meetings, and the second cycle consisted of three meetings. Theprocedure of the action research consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The datawere collected through questionnaire, interview, field notes, and test. To analyze the quantitativedata, the researcher applied descriptive statistics. It was used to compare the scores and meansof pre-test and post-test. The pre-test was conducted in the preliminary research while post-testwas conducted at the end of cycle 1 and 2. The result of the test was used to know how well thestudents practice in major skill of Fluency in Questioning. To analyze the qualitative data, theresearcher analyzed the improvement of the teaching learning process based on the results ofquestionnaire, interview, and field notes using Constant Comparative Method.The result of the research showed that: 1) realia could improve students’ major skillfluency in questioning in (a) giving introductory or prelimenary question,; (b); developingquestion (c) addresing recapitulary question; and (d) testing or evaluating question. Theimprovement in the students’ major skill in fluency questioning can be proved that the mean scoreof pre-test is 40.50, post-test 1 is 55.50, and post-test 2 is 65.00. The mean score of post-test 2 ishigher than the minimum requirement score which is 70.00. 2) realia can improve the students’major skill of fluecy in questioning can be seen from (1) The class situation was more fun andalive; (2) The students became more active individually in giving question; (3) Reduced learners’anxiety as they have to perform only in front of a small audience.
