Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational playing game based on media to improve numerical ability on second grade student at SDN Wonotirto, Bulu, Temanggung. The subject were 10 student, that divided into two groups, experimental group (5 students) and control group (5 students). They are second grade student at SDN Wonotirto, Bulu, Temanggung. The design of experiment which used is pretest and posttest control group design. The methods of data analysis techniques use Mann - Whitney U. The result of the data analysis showed a significant differences between post-test of experimental group and the control group with level of p = 0.032. It means there are differences numerical ability between the control group and the experimental group. The mean score of the experimental group after the treatment was given greater compared with the control group (7.5 3.5). So, educational playing game based on media is effective to improve the numerical ability

Abstract

This reserach aimed to determine the effectiveness of the training of career planning to improves the self efficacy in career decision making. As the design of study, the research used randomized pre test post test with control group design. This study used 30 students as the subjects, which divided into two groups: 15 subjects as the experimental group and 15 subjects as the control group. Scale of the self efficacy incareer decision making was used to collecting the data, which was prepared by researcher. The results of the analysis using the Independent Sample t-Test showed that, t= 4.412 and p=0,000 (p0,05). The results of the analysis using thePaired Sample t-Test showed that, t=-6.400 and p=0,001 (p0,05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the training of the career planning could be increased the self efficacy in career decision making.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the psychological dynamics of child sex offenders. This research was social psychology. Method of the research was qualitative method with phenomenological strategy. Participatns were 5 children from LP Anak Kelas II A Blitar. Participants were sexual offenders. Results from this study show that child sex offenders due to factors impulse or peer support, teenage sex drive increases, and with a broken family relationships.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine differences in happiness of married couples with preparation and without preparation. The subjects were members of the community Young Mommy Tuban (N= 44) . The method used was quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. Retrieving data using two scales, the scale adaptation of Authentic Happiness Scale developed by Martin Seligman (1980) consists of 23 items and the scale of Marriage Preparation which is based on the theory of Blood (1978), which consists of 26 item. The main analytical method used is the analysis of T-test. Based on the results of the study, showed that a married couple with the preparation had higher happiness than married couples without preparation. Resilience was found to be a major shaper aspects of happiness in a married couple with preparation and without preparation. Wedding happiness is found decreased based on length of marriage. The findings of other studies further discussed in the description below.

Abstract

This study aims to determine adversity quotient of students with disabilities (blind) in resolving and overcoming difficulties while studying in college. The informants are three visually impaired students who are already taking classes for four semesters and follows the student college organization. This study used qualitative methods of phenomenology. The data in this study comes from the words and actions of informants obtained by using observation and interviews. The data analysis used coding techniques. Results from this study indicate adversity quotient obtained from the collaboration of the four dimensions of adversity quotient, which is control, origin and ownership, reach, and endurance. Adversity quotient students with disabilities (blind) are influenced by internal and external motivational factors, perseverance, learning, risk taking behavior, competitiveness, and independence. In addition, a sense of gratitude for the conditions experienced, the experience of all the difficulties, and extensive network of friends also affects their adversity

Abstract

This study focuses on the application of group counseling on stress reduction of assistant teacher for children with special needs. The subjects of this study is 6 assistant teacher for children with special needs, consist of 5 female and 1 male assistant teacher. The subjects showed symptoms of stressduring the time they became educators in elementary school M. Subjects age ranged from 20 years to 29 years. The data collection technique used on this study are observationand interview. Interventions were performed using group counseling basic client centered therapy technicques. The result obtained is that each member of the group is able to identify the source of their stressand the impact of the stress to their life, and has a relatively different way in minimalizing the stress level.

Abstract

The survey is done in order to know any differences of interpersonal communication between parents and children from harmonious parent point of view. Data collecting process of this survey used interpersonal communication Likert scale. The result of the reliabilities of experiment in the substance of interpersonal communication is 0,946. The survey that is done gave the result that the average score of interpersonal communication of harmonious family is 2.6102 and the inharmonious family that is 2.0312. The Conclusion is that there are any differences interpersonal communication between parent and children in viewing of harmonious parent. Interpersonal communication of harmonious family is better than inharmonious family.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reproductive health training on improving the effective communication skills of parents to children. Subjects of this study consist of 12 parents as experimental group and 12 parents as control group. The experimental design used was Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design using Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test for data analysis method. The result showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental group and control group with p 0.05, and it showed that there was a significant difference between posttest result of experimental group and control group after experimental group treatment with p 0.05. It also showed that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results of the experimental group with p 0.05. Based on the above results, reproductive health training can improve the effective communication of parents to children.

Abstract

Social withdrawal is a consistent tendency to be alone with anxiety when dealing with others. Social withdrawal in children who are not handled properly can cause communication barriers, emotional regulation and lack of problem solving abilities. In the long run, socially withdrawn children have a greater risk of having low self-adjusting abilities, difficulty interacting with peers and difficulties in school. The development of social withdrawal in children, was influenced by genetic factors and environmental factors. Parents has a very important role in tackling the growth of social withdrawal in children. The approaches include developing secure attachment with children, encouraging them to socialize, helping them to regulate and express their emotions and provide opportunities to engage in activities which they excel and make them more valuable and willing to engage in interpersonal relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the failure attribution of junior high and high school students. This research uses indigenous psychology approach with qualitative survey method. The data retrieval technique using open ended questionnaire. Total 725 respondents consist of 248 junior high students and 473 high school students. Data obtained shows that failing achievement attribution was influenced by internal and external attribution. The highest failure achievement attribution of 79 is the internal attribution on junior high students it characterized by low self-possessed social skill. On senior high it counts to 87,1% on internal attribution. The external factors tend to be marked by the lack of social support from family or friends and teachers and friends negative influence.
