Abstract

This study aimed to know the difference of stress between employed mother and unemployed mother. The populations of this study were employed mothers and unemployed mothers in Perumahan PDAM Kelurahan Sidokare. The sample used in this study amounted to eighty respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a sample saturated, where the sampling technique used a full member of the population. Analysis of data in this study used t-test analysis. From the results, t-test = 8.257; sig = 0.000 0.05, which showed difference in stress between employed mothers and unemployed mothers, where a lot of stress experienced at employed mothers (mean 35.88), rather than the unemployed mother (mean 25.85).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and organizational climate on organizational commitment. Subjects were employees and lecturers at the University of Setia Budi Surakarta as many as 65 people. Data analysis used regression analysis techniques. Analisisis results showed a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.760 with F of 42.386 p = 0.000 (p 0.01) which means that there was a highly significant correlation between transformational leadership and organizational climate on organizational commitment. Determinant coefficient (R2) of 57.8%, this indicates that the variables of transformational leadership and organizational commitment affected organizational climate by 57.8% and 42.2% were influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Social skill training aims to lower or reduce the aggressive behavior of children who are in the village UPTD Children Affairs. The method used in this study was a quantitative experimental methods and design of pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest. Analysis of the data in this study used t-test. This study used a total of 11 samples were selected using purposive sampling technique. Means of data collection in this study was the scale of aggressive behavior is a form of translation of the Aggression Questionnaire Western Psychological Services (WPS) Test Report with r = 0.730, and social skills training module which is a form of translation of the Social Skills Training for Adolescents with General Moderate Learning Difficulties. From the results of statistical tests known that social skills training is not effectively used to reduce the aggressive behavior of children who are in the village UPTD Children Affairs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of therapy SEFT to reduce smoking behavior in middle adolescence. The subjects were students at SMAN 1 Taman Sidoarjo ever smoked at school, the number of smokers was 24 students. These students were smokers every day on average spend cigarettes no more than 14 cigarettes. The subjects were given a pretest (lots of cigarettes smoked every day), therapy was given SEFT the next round. Posttest performed 2 days after therapy SEFT. Based on the analysis of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test , the value of Z = - 4.564 , the Sig = 0.000 ( p 0.01 ) , so it can be said there was a difference between pretest and posttes , and the mean pre-test ( 4,000 ) the mean post- test ( 2.208 ), which means more subjects smoked a cigarette before SEFT therapy compared to after SEFT . This means SEFT therapy proved effective in reducing smoking behavior on adolescent students.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship of students' perceptions of punishment given to teachers and emotional intelligence with discipline. The subjects of this study were junior high school students of Kristen Petra 3 Surabaya eight grade, totaling 127 students. Data collection tools used in this study was scale of students' perception of punishment provided by the teacher, scale of emotional intelligence, and scale of discipline. Based on anareg, obtained anareg correlation coefficient F = 1.085, p = 0.341 (p 0.05). This means that together there is no relationship between students' perceptions of punishment given to teachers and emotional intelligence discipline. Independent variable partial test students' perception of the teacher's punishment resulted in p = 0.155 (p 0.05), this shows the independent variable students' perceptions of teachers' punishment given nothing to do with discipline. Partial test of emotional intelligence independent variable produces a p-value = 0.584 (at p 0.05), the independent variables of emotional intelligence showed no relationship with the discipline.

Abstract

Studies about the role of music therapy to the completion of mathematical questions on three subjects (N=3), children with attention deficit symptoms were placed at psychology service center for children with special need, at Malang. Music therapy was applied, where the children is only listening to the music without any activities in 10 minutes. The aim of music therapy are to condition the children in order to be more calm and ready to accept the lesson well. Data collection used were within-subject design. Data analyzed used a chi square for one sample test. The result showed that there were effect of music therapy to the completion of mathematical questions on children with attention deficit symptoms. The accuracy effect turned into two from three of the subject (p= 0,05) and the speed effect turned into two from three of the subject (p= 0,05).

Abstract

Basically preschool age children should be aware that each individual has thoughts, feelings, desires, and other mental conditions which is different from himself. This awareness is known as theory of mind, and one of the factors that could be expected to stimulate the ability of theory of mind is the intensity of the interaction between children and their siblings. The basic concept of the theory used in this study is the cognitive development of sociocultural perspectives of leading experts Lev Vygotsky. The study was conducted in three schools Kindergarten (TK) in Yogyakarta, with the subject as much as 31 children aged 47-69 months. The measurements used are false belief task, and Scale "intensity of interaction between children and siblings" were made by researchers. Siblings age limit is a maximum of 12 years of age brother and sister at least 1 year of age. Data analysis using binary logistic regression analysis, the results of analysis show that the value of Wald 1.036 (p 0.05), so it can be concluded that the intensity of the interaction between children and siblings are not able to predict the ability of theory of mind. It is suspected the influence of siblings and their age difference in the way children interact with siblings between Western and Eastern cultures, including cultures in Indonesia

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parenting on social anxiety in adolescents. This study involved 230 adolescents with authoritarian parenting with an average 30.37. Retrieval of data using Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), Liebowitz Anxiety Scale- Children and Adolecents (LSAS-CA). Significance test shows F count 107.678. Significant conclusion of this model and can be used to predict the role of authoritarian parenting to social anxiety in adolescents. The result showed that social anxiety in adolescents can be affected by direct authoritarian parenting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify and explains the bullying behavior among adolescent, especially in the orphanage. The research was also to investigate the effect of peer attachment and self-esteem on orphanage adolescent of bullying behavior. This research involved about 270 adolescent (13-18 years old, M=15,40 years old, S.D.=1,275) which stayed in 14 orphanages in the Malang city. The collection of data was using the instruments of the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and the Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument (APRI). The results of this research show us that peer attachment and self-esteem is take effect very significant on orphanage adolescent of bullying behavior.
