Abstract

P2B as a key unit to the success of operational business processes in PLN needs to conduct performance measurement to determine whether the performance of the organization and its employees are in accordance with the requested targets. Therefore, the researcher offers a method of me asuring HR Scorecard which is a form of human resources measurement to demonstrate the role of human resources that has been regarded as intangible to be measured in their role to a chieve the company’s mission, vision and strategy. The design of HR Scorecard resulted 17 indicators on four existing perspectives. Then the achievement target and its performance of each indicator we re measured and assessed. The pairwise comparison method (A HP) was done to w eigh each p erspective, strategy and indicator obtaining nine greatest weights of indicators. The indicator is then displayed in the dashboard to show the data of perf ormance measurement results. Thus the results show that the strategic perspective and consumers were good with each performance value of 4.197 and 3.667. Meanwhile, the operating and financial performance perspectives were quite well with the performance value of 2.968 and 2.667. It can be calculated that the value of the overall performance is 3.538 which means good performance.

Abstract

Catering Alami Surabaya is a company engaged in the restaurant was founded in 2001 by a husband and wife who have a hobby of cooking. Problems faced by Catering Alami Surabaya that is in the Catering environment layout arrangement that seemed messy and less effective in the production process at Catering Alami Surabaya. Along with these problems, this research is done by doing direct observation so as to obtain the appropriate data and expected to be able to design the Catering Environment design with ergonomic principles. Factors influencing the design of Surabaya Natural Catering environment include arrangement of place, operation line, approach factor and proximity to interaction to employees, comfort and security of location as work place and completeness of production equipment. From the research result of design of environmental design Catering Alami Surabaya have refer to ENASE ergonomic principle that is: Effective, Comfortable, Safe, Healthy and Efficient. Five of these concepts are related to design design in Surabaya Natural Catering environment.

Abstract

PT. Z is a cocoa powder manufacturer that located in Sidoarjo, East Java. The factory wanted to implement the concept of Lean Manufacturing to overcome their problems such as, production loss and powder (scrap) which was spreading over their production floor and warehouse. This factory could improve their production system’s productivity with the deployment of Lean Manufacturing concept. Percentage of scraps and losses for initial condition is about 0,076% and 1,987%. Cycle time for grinding process and mixing process for initial concept is about 3,49 hours/ton and 14,2 hours/5ton. Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) for the initial condition is 81%. After implementing the improvement initiatives, there were some differences on the indicators. Percentage of scraps and losses for the new condition was about 0,054% and 1,542%. Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) was increased and becoming 82% with cycle time for grinding process is 2,7 hours/ton and 11,86 hours/5ton for mixing process.

Abstract

Some examples of street food that have high demand in Surabaya such as kebabs, burgers and crepes. That street foods, kebabs, burgers and crepes have a variety of contents that can be fairly complete. Because of that, the business idea of Mini Buffet Taco is occurred. Mini Buffet Taco is a kind of street food based on Mexican taco food, but in order to differ Mini Buffet tacos with other types of tacos or kebabs, there is a new innovation that the consumers buy not in finished form, but the contents and bread separated, so that when the consumers want to enjoy Mini Buffet Taco, consumers can make taco according to their own desired taste. The layout of the stand should be suited to the emotional needs of the customers, hence the use of kansei engineering method to design the layout of the stand and supported with antrhopometric method to design the layout. This could facilitate operator to ease in serving customer order and shorten the time of serve by designing an ergonomicplacement . From the results of data processing and analysis, for the marketing aspect is very feasible because the effective demand reach to 30,000 people per year. For technical aspect chosen location inside Mall, that is East Cost City. And for the calculation of HPP analysis are obtained selling price Rp.15.150,00 (chicken filling tacos) and Rp.25.650,00 (taco filling cow). For the management aspect required 5 person personnel, where 2 person (owner & chef) are in kitchen and 3 person (head staff, cashier, staff) are in the stand. For financial aspect, show that NPV (Rp331,601,440.74> 0), DPP (1,20 years <5 years) and IRR (100%> MARR = 14,92%) indicates that Mini Buffet Taco business is feasible to establish.

Abstract

The number of crimes that occurred at this time to make the security of the community a little disturbed, especially women in Indonesia. Because in 2016 Komnas Perempuan recorded 16.217 cases of crimes experienced by women. One suitable business opportunity to solve the above problem is to establish a Women Taxi. A feasibility study is needed to find out whether the business is feasible or not. The results on the market aspect show that effective demand for Women Taxi in 2018 is 290.430 consumers, effective demand continues to increase until 2022. In the technical aspect, the business location and location of the base are selected by the A HP method. The selec ted business location is loca ted on J L. Raya Kendung, while the location of the selec ted base 10 places spread in the city of Surabaya. On the aspect of management is defined form of this business entity is CV with 75% capital comes fr om the owner of CV and 25% comes fr om BCA loan. On the financial aspect is known TPC value of Rp26.792.176.124,0 0. NPV value of Rp19.446.473.183,00. DPP of this business for 3 years 5 months 27 days, while IRR is greater than MARR (10.44%), which is 34.87%.

Abstract

Mineral water becomes an important product for human being, This is the reason why CV. Alami runs the mineral water production company in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan and in order to keep the customers satisfied, CV.Alami has to enhance its quality of service . Therefore, an analysis of service quality and its enchancement was needed. This research intregated Kano and SERVQUAL methods as well as 5whys method to formulate the improvement. The attributes which were needed to be improved were“employee responding the complaintwell”, “speed of complaint respon”, “usedgallon protector in shipping”, “friendly employee in when serving transaction”, “give discount”, “Give promo event”, “suitability of shipping quantity”, “easy to contact the call center of the company”, “shipping price are precise”, “Gallon packaging resistance”, “mineral water free from stink”. From the 11 service attribute, there were 10 suggestions being implemented.

Abstract

PT. Tjakrindo Mas, established in 1984, is a manufacture company in building material and office equipment, whose products are office furniture, office equipment, steel doors, PVC pipes, concrete pile, and wooden furniture. This company is ISO 9002 certified. The increasing number of office development in Surabaya has created good opportunity that is going to be seized by PT. Tjakrindo Mas. However, PT. Tjakrindo Mas is not the only company who sees the opportunity. Other companies also see the opportunity to increase sales. In this case, in order to compete with other companies and increase sales, a reasearch to formulate an appropriate strategy is required, it is necessary to have an adequate technology in production to be able to fulfil the demand of consumers in a short time and reduce the defective products to minimize the company’s loss. Information technology is also required in order to make it easier for the consumers to contract PT. Tjakrindo Mas or to order office equipment products. In collecting the data required by PT. Tjakrindo Mas, questionnaires were distributed, and analyzed using SPSS. From the SPSS test, it can be concluded that there was a difference between the data of the consumer’s reality level and consumers’s expectation level. SPSS, a SWOT, 4P strategy, and consumer’s behavior anlysis was also conducted to build a marketing strategy. Based on the data analysis, it is acknowledged that the criteria of product, price, process, brand element should be improved or should formulate new strategies. Marketing strategy design was also devided based on the criteria for the product category by suggesting plastic cabinet as a new innovation of PT. Tjakrindo Mas, creating the “SHINE” brand, providing a room for the consumers to see or take their own product, using wooden packaging in order to avoid defect. For the price category, a bundle price product was given for consumers who purchased products in high quatity. For the process category, an outsource fleet service was chosen so that the shipping could be on time, and information system was improved in the company to avoid out of stock. For the brand element categoty, a salesman is required to give the contact numbers to the distributors, give suggestions in symbol and brochure to give easier information to the consumers. Conducting a brand element analysis was also conducted because “SHINE” product is considered new. The purpose is to introduce the product to the consumers. It is also formulated based on the result of the questionnaire in order to archive a good and relevant result.

Abstract

This study discusses the activity of Manual Material Handling (MMH) to workers in the painting division to support the movement of goods. MMH activity has an increased risk of Musculosceletal Disorders (MSDs). To conduct a working attitude analysis, the Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS) method is used by conducting initial observation and taking photos/videos when the worker performs the MMH activity. Then interviewed 5 workers in the painting division using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to find out the level of pain complaints felt by workers. Furthermore, the calculation of productivity to find out the standard output by collecting data processing time of MMH activity from the painting division. Data retrieval, data processing and analysis results done before and after implementation. Implementation is done is the addition of tools such as hanging rails and pulleys that can ease the activity of MMH and improve work productivity in the painting division. Based on the data processing and analysis results that have been done, the number of MMH activity done by the worker decreased from 6 activities to 5 activities, the level of the sickness that was felt by the workers was down from 2.86% to 1.20%. This makes the standard output increase from 0.270 to 0.593. The number of work productivity increased from 21,096 to 77,034 with value of productivity index ratio is 0,274. This shows that there is a significant increase in productivity.

Abstract

The problem of parking space of Gubeng Baru Train Station Surabaya based on observation is the bottle neckat certain point which cause the smooth flow of vehicle become obstructed so that time in the parking become longer. The purpose of this research is to improve the smooth flow of vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot of Gubeng Baru TrainStation Surabaya. To improve the smooth need improvement of vehicle flow and layout. This can be done by drawing the layout and the flow of vehicles in the parking lot of the initial conditions and then takingthe time data of each process. From the data is processed to get the distribution data to be used in the ProModel. After that, make the layout and flow of the proposed vehicle then take the data of each time the fastest process in real conditions so that it can describe the proposed conditions that have been implemented. Results from both simulations, compared to find out which conditions are better. From the simulation results obtained the average time of looking for initial conditions conditions 1,536 minutes and the conditions of proposal 0.737 minutes. While the average results of out-time parking at the beginning of 4,085 minutes and the conditions proposed 3.582 minutes. Such time savings, causing the average vehicle entering the parking lot of 48.96%. This shows the proposed condition is better than the initial conditions.

Abstract

PT. Jayabrix Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces ACC blocks and fiber cement boards, located in Lamongan, East Java. The vision of PT. Jayabrix Indonesia to become ACC Blocks and fiber cement boards producer that can penetrate the world’s market encourages the company to be certified ISO 9001:2008 in 2015. Because the active period will be expire in September 2018, PT. Jayabrix Indonesia encouraged to upgrade to ISO 9001:2015. This research aims to help the company to prepare for ISO 9001:2015. The result of gap identification shows that percentage of conformity is 76,6%, partial conformity is 18,8%, and nonconformity is 4,7%. Improvements that have been applied in PT. Jayabrix Indonesia are corrective action form, damage machine report, contract letter with supplier, and evaluation form of employee’s performance. The implementations and company’s quality obejctives are evaluated according to 7 principles of Quality Management System.
