Abstract

The appearance of uncertainties and disturbances often effects the characteristics of either linear or nonlinear systems. Plus, the stabilization process may be deteriorated thus incurring a catastrophic effect to the system performance. As such, this manuscript addresses the concept of matching condition for the systems that are suffering from miss-match uncertainties and exogeneous disturbances. The perturbation towards the system at hand is assumed to be known and unbounded. To reach this outcome, uncertainties and their classifications are reviewed thoroughly. The structural matching condition is proposed and tabulated in the proposition 1. Two types of mathematical expressions are presented to distinguish the system with matched uncertainty and the system with miss-matched uncertainty. Lastly, two-dimensional numerical expressions are provided to practice the proposed proposition. The outcome shows that matching condition has the ability to change the system to a design-friendly model for asymptotic stabilization.

Abstract

One of the ways to detect coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) is X-rays, computerized tomography (CT). This paper aims to detect COVID-19 from CT images without any user intervention. The proposed algorithm consists of 5 stages. These stages include; the first stage aims to collect data from hospitals and internet websites, the second stage is pre-processing stage to remove noise and convert it from red green blue (RGB) to grayscale and then improve image quality, the third is the segmentation stage which included threshold and region-growing segmentation methods. The fourth stage is used to extract important characteristics, and the last stage is classification CT images using feed forward back propagation network (FFBPN) and support vector machines (SVM) and compare the results between them and see if the person is infected or healthy. This study was implemented in MATLAB software. The results showed that the noise cancellation technology using anisotropic filtering gave the best results. Region-growing method was reliable to separate COVID-19 infected from healthy regions. The FFBPN has given the best results for detecting and classifying COVID-19. The results of the proposed methodology are rapid and accurate in detecting COVID-19. The output from classifier is displayed on the Rasbperry Pi that included weather if patient is infected or not and the severity of COVID-19 infection.

Abstract

Lampung province holds substantial tourism potential that remains underutilized due to fragmented information and limited promotional strategies. This study introduces a smart tourism application integrating markerless augmented reality (AR) with cyber-physical-social systems (CPSS), representing the first implementation of its kind for location-based tourism in the region. The novelty lies in the hierarchical coordinate transformation architecture (HCTA), a multi-layer computational framework employing the Haversine formula to achieve high-precision mapping of geographic coordinates into AR-optimized perceptual views. The system was evaluated for geolocation accuracy, resource utilization, backend scalability, AR rendering robustness, and user experience. Results show strong performance: geolocation tests across seven destinations yielded a mean error rate of 1.5%; AR operations remained efficient with 8–10% central processing unit (CPU) and 140–160 MB random access memory (RAM) usage; and rendering was stable across 360° device orientation. Backend tests confirmed scalability, sustaining 56 requests per second with zero failures under 100 concurrent users. A user study with 20 participants using the user experience questionnaire-short (UEQ-S) revealed highly positive outcomes, with overall scores 2.275, all within the Excellent benchmark. These findings confirm that the application is not only technically robust and efficient but also engaging and enjoyable, offering a scalable framework for immersive smart tourism ecosystems.

Abstract

The number of studies on COVID-19 has rapidly grown in recent years. The pandemic has caused widespread disruption, including in renewable energy research. This study aims to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on renewable energy research by conducting a bibliometric analysis from the Scopus indexing database from 2020 to 2023. This study employs a bibliometric approach to analyze the authors, affiliation, publication source, keywords, thematic map, and trend topic. The analysis will focus on the comprehensive overview of the published research and identify areas where future research is needed. The results show that the number of research studies related to COVID-19’s effect on renewable energy will continue growing and a solid collaboration network exists. China has had a significant presence on the impact of COVID-19 on renewable energy studies, including organization and university affiliations, number of single and multiple country publications, funding sponsors, and most cited countries. The finding also shows niche themes, research trends, and thematic evolution shifting. This finding will contribute to a better understanding of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on renewable energy research and a new direction for future research.

Abstract

Traditional networking solutions are unable to meet modern computing needs due to the expanding popularity of the internet, which requires increased agility and flexibility. To meet these objectives, software-defined networking (SDN) arises. A controller is a major element that will determine if SDN succeeds or fails. Various current SDN controllers in many sectors must be evaluated and compared. The performance of two well-known SDN controllers, POX and Ryu, is evaluated in this research. We used the Mininet-WiFi emulator to implement our work and the distributed internet traffic generator (D-ITG) to assess the aforementioned controllers using delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput metrics. What is new in our research is the study of network performance in two different types of transmission media: wired and wireless. The speed of the wired medium was chosen to be fast ethernet, which was not previously studied. In addition, the size of the packet was varied among 128, 256, 512, and 1,024 bytes. The comparison was performed on three topologies (single, linear, and tree). The experimental results showed that Ryu offers significantly lower latency, jitter, and packet loss than POX in most scenarios. Also, the Ryu controller has higher throughput than POX, especially on wireless networks.

Abstract

Steganalysis aims to detect hidden messages within digital media, presenting a significant challenge in the field of information security. This paper introduces an adversarial-robust steganalysis system leveraging adversarial training and the powerful feature extraction capabilities of EfficientNet. We utilize EfficientNet to extract robust features from images, which are subsequently classified by a dense neural network to distinguish between steganographic and non-steganographic content. To enhance the system’s resilience against adversarial attacks, we implement a custom adversarial training loop that generates adversarial examples using the fast gradient sign method (FGSM) and integrates these examples into the training process. Our results demonstrate that the proposed system not only achieves high accuracy in detecting steganographic content but also maintains robustness against adversarial perturbations. This dual approach of leveraging state-of-the-art deep learning architectures and adversarial training provides a significant advancement in the field of steganalysis, ensuring more reliable detection of hidden messages in digital images.

Abstract

For doing their activities, blind people need tools. The idea for designing this device is for helping the blind person. This device is a glasses specially for blind person which gives information in the form of voices through an earphone if there is an obstacle in the range of 0–58 cm. The device is using PING ultrasonic sensor, ATMEGA8535 microcontroller, and ISD25120 for recording and saving the voices. After designing and making the device, we tested the device to take the data. We use three PING ultrasonic sensors which are put at the sides of the glasses. The device will give eight different kinds of voices through the earphone. The voices depend upon the output of the PING ultrasonic sensors.

Abstract

Electromyography (EMG) measures the electrical activity in muscles during movement. An electromyography machine records the electrical signals from the muscle’s movements as sound waves. EMG signal measurement is used to help doctors make a quick evaluation to identify conditions such as muscle problems; dystrophy and neuropathies. The objectives of this study were to provide a good method that gives proper preprocessing for EMG signals. Often, the EMG signal is corrupted by natural noise, which makes analysis difficult; the new method, namely the empirical wavelet transform, is used to remove this noise and make it clean. The non-stationarity of EMG signals makes the analysis more difficult by the conventional methods such as time domain and frequency domain, which do not give much information about the EMG signals. The time-frequency tool is unavoidable, in this research we used periodogram, Choi-Williams, and smoothed Pseudo Wigner-Ville. The obtained results of the denoising and time-frequency applications demonstrate the high performance of the Periodogram and EWT methods in comparing with other techniques previously published.

Abstract

The Euclidean geometry (EG) based low-density parity check (LDPC) codes are enciphered and deciphered in various modes. These algorithms have the back-and-forth between decoding delay, and power usage, device unpredictability resources, and error rate efficacy are all available with these methods. As a result, the goal of this paper is to develop a comprehensive method to describe both soft and burst error bits for optimal data transfer. As a result, for EG-LDPC codes, a hybrid soft bit flipping (HSBF) decoder is suggested, which decreases decoding complications while improving message data transfer. A simulation model is formed using Xilinx synthesis report to study decoding latency, hardware usage, and power usage. A HSBF decoder is used in this paper, which accepts a 64-bit coding sequence and assigns 64 Adjustable nodes to it. It checks all customizable cluster connections and quantifies adjustable node values and actions. As a consequence of the data collected, our simulation model demonstrates that the HSBF technique outperforms soft bit flipping (SBF) algorithms. As a result, the techniques are ideal for usage in intermediate applications and as well as in cyber security processing technologies, medical applications.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of e-procurement systems on procurement performance (PP) in Ghana, highlighting the mediating role of supplier relationship quality (SRQ). A quantitative, cross-sectional survey of 370 procurement professionals from public and private organisations was conducted to assess four dimensions of e-procurement: system integration, data transparency, user-friendliness, and automation. Results indicate that all four dimensions significantly enhance PP, with system integration and user-friendliness emerging as the strongest predictors. Mediation analysis further reveals that SRQ, characterised by trust, communication, and collaboration, partially strengthens the relationship between e-procurement and procurement outcomes. Nonetheless, challenges such as inadequate staff training, limited supplier digital skills, weak infrastructure, and insufficient managerial support hinder optimal system effectiveness. Grounded in the resource-based view (RBV) and transaction cost economics (TCE), the study demonstrates the importance of combining technological and relational capabilities. Recommendations include enhancing digital skills training, strengthening supplier engagement, improving system design, and fostering institutional support.
