Abstract

A plethora of infinite data is generated from the Internet and other information sources. Analyzing this massive data in real-time and extracting valuable knowledge using different mining applications platforms have been an area for research and industry as well. However, data stream mining has different challenges making it different from traditional data mining. Recently, many studies have addressed the concerns on massive data mining problems and proposed several techniques that produce impressive results. In this paper, we review real time clustering and classification mining techniques for data stream. We analyze the characteristics of data stream mining and discuss the challenges and research issues of data steam mining. Finally, we present some of the platforms for data stream mining.

Abstract

Finding a trade-off balance between wireless transfer efficiency (WTE) and distance is a key issue in wireless energy transfer (WET). This paper presents a method of reducing the radical alteration in WTE versus distance, by using a reverse loop technique on planar reverse loop antenna (PRLA). The design focuses on 13.56 MHz Near Field Communication (NFC). The first stage uses mathematical modelling, based on an analytical approach, to determine the size of the reverse loop using Matlab. The proposed model predicts the size of the reverse loop to stabilize the WTE at a closer distance. Next, full-wave electromagnetic simulations are applied, using the computer simulation technology (CST) MICROWAVE STUDIO®, to determine the WTE effect with distance changes with mismatch condition. Planar loop antennas (PLAs) are fabricated on glass-reinforced epoxy laminated sheets (FR4). A validation of the simulation result in a real test scenario, using these PLAs and PRLA, confirms a stability enhancement in WTE at closer distance using the reverse loop technique, compared to conventional designs.

Abstract

This paper presented stability application for chaos synchronization using a 6-D hyperchaotic system of different controllers and two tools: Lyapunov stability theory and Linearization methods. Synchronization methods based on nonlinear control strategy is used. The selecting controller's methods have been modified by applying complete synchronization. The Linearization methods can achieve convergence according to the of complete synchronization. Numerical simulations are carried out by using MATLAB to validate the effectiveness of the analytical technique.

Abstract

A micro-grid is a part of power system which able to operates in grid or islanding mode. The most important variable that able to give us information about the stability in islanded micro-grid network is the frequency dynamical responses. The frequency analysis for multi-area micro-grid network model may involve a complicated of mathematical equations. This makes the researcher intending to omit several unnecessary parameters in order to simplify the equations. The purpose of this paper is to show an approach to derive the mathematical equations to represent the average behavior of frequency dynamical responses for two different micro-grid areas. Both of networks are assumed to have non-identical distributed generator behavior with different parameters. The prime mover and speed governor systems are augmented with the general swing equation. The tie line model and the information of rotor angle was considered. Then, in the last section, the comparison between this technique with the conventional approach using centre of inertia (COI) technique was defined.

Abstract

Question generating is the task of automatically generating questions from various inputs such as raw text, database, or semantic representation. In this paper, we attempt to describe a general framework that could help develop and characterize efforts to medical Indonesian generates questions medical text. We propose a new style of question generation that actively uses sentences within a document as a source of answer. We use manually written rules to perform a sequence of general purpose a syntactic transformation (e.g. identification of keywords or key phrase to NER based on PICO frame) to turn a declarative sentence into questions. The final result of this research is a pattern of question and answer pairs, where the test results show the pattern matching algorithm precision value of 0.101 and a recall of 0.712.

Abstract

Economic Dispatch (ED) problem, in practice, is a nonlinear, non-convex type,which has developed gradually into a serious task management goal in the planning phase of the power system. The prime purpose of Dynamic Economic Dispatch (DED) is to minimize generators’ total cost of the power system. DED is to engage the committed generating units at a minimum cost to meet the load demand while fulfilling various constraints. Utilizing heuristic, population-based, and advanced optimization technique, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), represents a challenging problem with large dimension in providing a superior solution for DED optimization problem. The feasibility of the PSO method has been demonstrated technically, and economically for two different systems, and it is compared with the Dantzig-Wolfe technique regarding the solution quality and simplicity of implementation. While Dantzig-Wolfe method has its intrinsic drawbacks and positive features, PSO algorithm is the finest and the most appropriate solution. Conventional techniques have been unsuccessful to present compatible solutions to such problems due to their susceptibility to first estimates and possible entrapment into local optima which may complicate computations.

Abstract

In this paper we propose a high-order space-time discontinuous Galerkin (STDG) method for solving of one-dimensional electromagnetic wave propagations in homogeneous medium. The STDG method uses finite element Discontinuous Galerkin discretizations in spatial and temporal domain simultaneously with high order piecewise Jacobi polynomial as the basis functions. The algebraic equations are solved using Block Gauss-Seidel iteratively in each time step. The STDG method is unconditionally stable, so the CFL number can be chosen arbitrarily. Numerical examples show that the proposed STDG method is of exponentially accuracy in time.

Abstract

A rigorous analytical and semi analytical method of lines has been used to calculate the transverse-electric field attenuation coefficient of guided mode as it travels in waveguide bends structure. Both approaches then were compared to get a better understanding on how the attenuation behaves along single curve waveguides with constant radius of curvature. The Helmholtz Equation in polar coordinate was transformed into a curvalinier coordinate to simulate the waveguide bends using the method of line analysis. The simple absorption boundary conditions are used into the method of lines to demonstrate evanescent field of the guided mode nature as its travels in waveguide bends structures. The results show that a reasonable agreement between both theoretical approaches.

Abstract

This paper presents the design of Continuous Wave Terahetz photonic transmitters based on photodector which convert the light signal to electrical signal, THz antenna, low-pass filter (LPF) and DC Probe. In the design of the CW THz photonic transmitter System, we begin with the matching input impedance and validation of THz antenna using an EM solver Momentum integrated in ADS “Advanced Design System”. Then we pass to the optimization of a low-pass filter which had the role of inductance, blocking the RF signal providing from the antenna to reach the DC probe. Finally, we associate the previous structures with a DC probe and simulate the whole circuit until validating the CW THz photonic transmitter circuit. The three structures are based on multi-layers GaAs substrate, which is the most widely used for THz circuit design. The dimensions of the whole circuit are 819.071 × 164.10 ????????2.

Abstract

This paper describes the development of a Fractal printed Yagi-Uda antenna for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) applications operating at 2.4 GHz frequency. In miniaturizing the dimensions of an antenna, fractal method is applied where the 1st iteration and 2nd iteration is implemented. The Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software is used as the platform to design and simulate the antenna. The substrate material used is the FR-4 board which has a dielectric constant of 5.4, the thickness of 1.6mm and tangent loss of 0.019. The antenna performance interm of the reflection coefficient, radiation pattern and gain are compared and analyzed. For the 1st iteration, 22.81% of reduction size has been achieved and 30.81% reduction of the antenna size for 2nd iteration has been achieved.
