Abstract

This article proposes a new strategy to find the optimal location, configuration and size of the Renewable (wind-photovoltaic-diesel-battery) Hybrid Energy Systems (RHES (off-grid)). This study has two steps: first, the proposaltoa strategybased on a weather change to find the optimal location in Iraq using Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric-Renewables (HOMER) software. Second, the study will examine the influence of the techno-economic viability from side less weight and area on the optimal configuration/size of the RHES, which gives the maximum output power. A period of one-year for meteorological data for both solar radiation and wind speed has used. Finally, simulation results indicated that the optimal location for this RHES is the AL Harithah location. The analysis has shown that RHES can supply 89% of the load demands by renewable-energy. It is also successful in reducing the area required for installation of the RHES about 28%.

Abstract

Development of technology as it is today, most students or lecturers in education community write documents or articles digitally. However, there are still many obstacles when searching for a legitimate source of reference and to know whether it contains plagiarism or not. Until present, there are still many students and lecturers who seek references from sources that have not been valid and not yet trusted, but it is considered a fatal mistake for writing articles and also writing thesis or dissertation from untrusted resources. Therefore, Google Scholar system helps to alleviate this problem. Google also facilitates the use of citations or references. The purpose of this research is to identify the number of citation H-Index owned by lecturers at tertiary education and score ranking achieved at tertiary education SINTA (Science and Technology Index) Ristekdikti. Citing an article from another publication is one form of scientific communication by the author or researcher. The large number of citations obtained from an article published in the publication indicates how significant the contributions of the author in improving the quality of the study field. In this study, citation analysis is used as an analysis of all citations which indicate the type of information sources used by students and lecturers in writing the journal as a result of their research. The following research use two methods of analysis: Mind Mapping methods and SWOT Analysis. After conducting research and executing the research strategy, it will result in improving the reputation by increasing the number of citation and lecturer H-Index at Google Scholar which can automatically also increase the affiliations of authors at tertiary education in Google Scholar. Lecturers who have already verified authors in SINTA (Science and Technology Index) Ristekdikti can contribute in improving the rank and number of tertiary education scores on Ristekdikti Science and Technology Index (SINTA). This research produces a comprehensive and straightforward mathematical formula that can be used in understanding SINTA index calculation which will hence improve the enthusiasm of education community in pursuing research as a team as well as individually. Hopefully, with this research, students and lecturers are able to increase their citation and H-index on articles in publications so as to contribute in improving the reputation and quality of universities in the countries.

Abstract

This paper reports on the highly secured information security architecture used by the KawalPilpres 2019 to escort Voting Commission (KPU) data entry. For the first time, a voting escort implements ISO 27001 compliance information security. As of 15 May 2019, 9550 volunteers reported 482,602 voting data of 336,445 voting booths, both in the country and overseas, through the micro-apps KawalPilpres2019. PeSanKita is used as a secure communication channel and to run micro-apps KawalPilpres2019. Double Ratchet Algorithm secures the channel. Different from other voting escort initiatives, KawalPilpres2019 uses (1) primarily C1 Plano photo, (2) no upload limit per voting booth, (3) no web upload, rather via PeSanKita Secured Platform. Behind the scenes, the verification process is done twice before displaying data to the publicly accessible monitoring web. The result is a robust voting escort system, difficult to hack and guarantee data integrity. Guaranteed security, availability, and data integrity are the main requirements for future eVoting systems.

Abstract

The correlation in bone microstructure for ultrasound pulse echo technique is still less accurate compared to through transmission technique. Previous works demonstrated, reflected two modes wave has significant association with bone porosity. The paper aims is to conduct simulation using pulse echo technique to examine the relationship between fast and slow waves with porosity of 2-dimensional cancellous bone models by comparing the result to through transmission technique. The “incident” and “reflected” waves were separated using bandlimited deconvolution method by estimating time threshold of fast and slow waves' transfer function. The parameters of the waves were computed, plotted versus porosity for six different thicknesses and the correlation coefficients between them were compared. The incident and reflected fast wave attenuations show marginally significant correlation with porosity for both bone models orientations. Wave propagation for parallel orientation dominated by incident and reflected fast wave, meanwhile, perpendicular orientation dominated by incident slow wave. The thickness factor affected wave amplitude but less affected the attenuation. Because of propagation loss, reflected wave shows lower correlation to porosity compared to incident wave. Hence, analyzing fast and slow waves might improve the measurement accuracy of pulse echo technique compared to using single mode wave to estimate bone quality.

Abstract

In today’s world, people depend more on the WWW information, including professionals who have to analyze the data according their domain to maintain and improve their business. A data analysis would require information that is comprehensive and relevant to their domain. Focused crawler as a topical based Web indexer agent is used to meet this application’s information need. In order to increase the precision, focused crawler face the problem of low recall. The study on WWW hyperlink structure characteristics indicates that many Web documents are not strong connected but through co-citation & co-reference. Conventional focused crawler that uses forward crawling strategy could not visit the documents in these characteristics. This study proposes a more comprehensive traversal framework. As a proof, CT-FC (a focused crawler with the new traversal framework) ran on DMOZ data that is representative to WWW characteristics. The results show that this strategy can increase the recall significantly.

Abstract

Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the diseases that have the effect of a high mortality rate after heart disease and cancer.  However, the disease can be early detected through blood vessels and the optic nerve head in Fundus images. Blood vessels separation of the optic nerve head required high effort when it is conducted manually, therefore it is necessary that the appropriate method to perform segmentation of the object. Level Set method is well-known as object segmentation method based on object deformable. However, the methods have the disadvantage; it requires initialization before the segmentation process. In this research, segmentation method without initialization process is proposed. The segmentation is conducted by using the maximum value selection results of convolution 8 directions. Experimental results show that, proposed method has obtained 89.48% accuracy. Segmentation errors are caused by small branches, where they are not connected, so that the objects are supposed as noises

Abstract

The design, fabrication, and measurement of reconfigurable antenna using photodiode switches has been investigated. The antenna had dimension 104 mm x 41 mm x 1.6 mm and FR4 substrate with relative permittivity4.8. It structure was Coplanar Stripline (CPS) dipole. Two photodiodeshad assembled on gap in both dipole arms, which was activated by 600 nm red laser. The unilluminated state, antennahad resonant frequency 800 MHz with RL -32 dB, 2225 MHz with RL -12.5 dB, 3320 with RL -14.1 dB. Meanwhile for the illuminated state, antennahad resonant frequency and return loss shifting to 800 MHz with RL -32 dB, 2225 MHz with RL -12.5 dB, 3320 MHz with RL -14.1 dB.This condition caused low impedance and longer dipole arm. If dimension size increases, resonant frequency will decrease. So, there was shifting frequency and return loss at under illuminated by laser.
