Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Positive Thinking Training Influence to Reduce the Students Anxiety Level in their final year. Subjects were students of Department of Information Faculty of Industrial Technology Ahmad Dahlan University class of 2008 who were doing his thesis. The method used was the experiment method. Data collection tool used was the anxiety scale. The analysis used in this study was the technique through independent sample t-test. The overall computational research data will be calculated using SPSS 19.0 for windows. Based on the results of t-test analysis obtained value of z = -3,442, p = 0.001, (p <0.05) it means that there is a decrease student anxiety levels after training given positive thinking. The majority of the study subjects before the training given with anxiety levels of medium category were as many as 10 subjects (100%), having been trained to think positively decrease anxiety by the five subjects (50%) included medium category, and 5 subjects (50%) included low category. Abstract

AbstractThis research has the aim to find the data about the causes of low motivationof the graders of junior high school in Giriwungu village, Panggang district,Gunungkidul to continue their study. The subject of this research is three teenswho do not continue their study. The subjects live in Giriwungu village, Panggangdistrict, Gunungkidul. The ages of the subjects are about 16-22 years old. Theresearch method that is used is qualitative research using phenomenologyresearch. The data collecting method are using semi structured interview andnon participant observation. The result of the research shows that the lowmotivation to continue study of the Junior High School graders in Giriwungu village, Panggang district, Gunungkidul caused by trauma in school because ofthe problem of getting punishment and facing an unkind teacher so that they aredifficult to understand the lesson. Majority, friends who do not study in schoolmake the subjects think that school is not important because without schoolthey can work. Also parents do not give more attention and suggestion aboutthe important of formal school. Besides the researcher also finds another activitythat is done after stopping study; they can play with their friend anytime whilehelping their parents and working with less ability or less knowledge.Keywords: low motivation to continue study, and junior high school  student.

Abstract

Abstract             This research aimed to determine the relationship between Time Management and Social Support with Academic Achievement of Students Working. The subjects of research were 60 students of the Faculty of Industrial Technology IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta. The data collection tools of this research used the Time Management Scale, Social Support Scale and Documentation in the form of a grade point average (GPA) of students who work. Analysis of the statistical method of multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16 for windows. The results of research showed: (1) The Relationship between Time Management and Social Support with Academic Achievement of Students Working with R = 0.558 and F = 12.913 with p = 0.000 (p <0.01), (2) There is a positive relationship between time management to academic achievement with r = 0.487 and p = 0.000 (p <0.01), (3) There is a positive relationship between social support to academic achievement with r = 0.504 and p = 0.000 (p <0.01). Keyword: Time Management, Social Support, Academic Achievement.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims is to examine the influence of color on print advertising against consumers memory. The research design used is posttest only control group design. The collection of data in this study using memory test. Parametric analysis techniques were used to test the hypothesis is independent sample t test to test the difference between 50 subject in experimental group and 50 subject in control group. The result t-test analysis in the control group and experimental group shown the value p = 0,000 (p<0,01) which means that there are very significant differences in memory experimental group with control group of advertisements that have been presented. It mean that the rate of memory against the advertisements that have been presented at the experimental group was higher than control group. These results indicate that the hypothesis was accepted. Abstract

 AbstractHis study aims to examine the relationship between family support and motivation to continue vocational high school (SMK). Research method is the independent variable while the family support for the dependent variable was entered vocational motivation. The population in this study class VIII students of SMP N1 Tunjungan Blora totaled 80 subjects. Methods of data collection using a scale of Family Support and Motivation scales Sign SMK. The validity of the use that content validity for its reliability expressed by the coefficient of reliability that the numbers are in the range from 0 to 1.00 then the reliability of each scale was analyzed by using the formula of Cronbach alpha. For the data analysis, this study uses product moment analysis, data analysis was performed using the computer-assisted Statistical Product and Service sollution (SPSS) for windows version 16. Results of this research is to test the normality of family support variables have p = 0.192 (p> 0.05) so that the variable has a family support normal distribution and motivational variables entered SMK has p = 0.217 (p> 0.05) so that the variables entered vocational motivation has normal distribution so that it can be concluded that each variable has a normal distribution of data distribution. Test linieritasnya enter vocational motivation and family support showed linearity F = 0.035 with a significance level (p) 0.851 (p> 0.05), with the value of F deviation from linearity at 1.126 level of significance (p) 0.35 (p>0.05 ) so it can be concluded that the motivations log linear SMK with family support. As for the test this hypothesis showed no association between family support and motivation go SMK, with a correlation coefficient r = 0.021 with a significance level of p = 0.854 (p> 0.05). It is concluded in this study the hypothesis is rejected by the family support category at 91.25% and 100% motivation to enter vocational school.Keywords: Continuing vocational Motivation, Family Support.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to determine the dynamics of self-conceptat the beginning of adult child abused  victim and the impact of self-concept onbehavior in the community.  Subject of the research is 2 adult male and femalewho have been victims of child abused . Data collection techniques in this studywas conducted using semi-structured interviews, non-participant observationand graphic tests (BAUM, DAP, HTP).Data analysis was done in this research using is content analysis (contentanalysis) is a method of analysis used in this research to describe the dynamicsof self-concept at the beginning adult child abused victims. The approach usedin this research is defined as a case study of the case is the case of a phenomenonthat is present in a limited context. The case may be individuals, small groups,roles, communities, and even a country.The results of this research indicate that after receiving a child abusedtwo subjects had low confidence but after a subject growing up, self-conceptis formed  on both subjects are positive self-concept. Positive self-concept isformed the support and motivation of others (friends), awareness of spiritualitysuch as prayer and multiply prayers, and always take lessons from what hashappened. The impact of a positive self concept makes better relationshipswith the community and the subject easier to get along with other people.Keywords : Self-Concept, Adult, Child Abused

Abstract

ABSTRACTForgiving is an act of manifestation and valuable personal assets to resolve conflicts or problems among adolescences. Develop a forgiving behavior can bring many benefits for teens, providing both mental and physical health, improved relationships with others, pay attention to the well-being of others and is a form of moral action. The objective of study was to examine the psychological aspects of forgiving behavior in adolescents broken home and the factors that influence forgiving behavior in broken home adolescences.This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. Data was collected by using interviews and observations technique on sampling criteria that have adolescents aged 17-22 years with a broken home.The results showed the psychological aspects that occur on the subject is, the cognitive subject to forgive without any sense of revenge in our hearts, forgive affectively with compassion but not with forced.  The factors that influence forgiving behavior in adolescence broken home is building a good relationship with others after conflicted. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the relationship between perceptions of organizational climate with career planning on the teacher. Subjects that was used in this study are 62 teachers from senior high school Sewon. The scale of organizational climate and career planning scale was used to collect the data. The method of data analysis in this study  used Pearson product moment correlation with SPSS 15 for windows sofware. The results of the data analysis found that the correlation between the organizational climate with career planning is significant with rxy = 0.471 and p = 0.007. R squared values between the organizational climate and career planning is 0.222 or 22.2%. This may implied that the variables can explain the variable Organizational Climate Career Planning of 22.2% while the rest (77.8%) is explained by other variables. Level of organizational climate perception among the teachers is at high category (54.84%) and the majority of career planning is in high category too (51.61%). Based on the research result it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between perceptions of organizational climate with career planning on the teacher, which means that the higher the perception of the organizational climate, the higher the teacher´s career planning. Keywords: perception of organizational climate, career planning

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the relationship between emotion regulation and prosocial behavior of psychiatric hospital nurses. The subjects in this study are nurses in the Grhasia mental hospital, Yogyakarta by the number of subject’s as many as 115 people, including 45 men and 70 women. Selection of subjects is using study population. study population was all subjects are used as research subjects. Product moment correlation of test results between emotion regulation and prosocial is resulted correlation coefficient of 0.001 with p <0.01. This case shows that there is a positive correlation between emotion regulation and prosocial behavior. Effective donations given by emotion regulation toward prosocial behavior is 14.8% and 85.2% caused by other factors.Keyword: prosocial behavior, emotion regulation.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the relationship between the emotional maturity to conformity in adolescents. The subjects were students of class XI at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data collection methods used in this research is the scale, the scale of conformity and emotional maturity scale. Analysis using Pearson´s correlation technique of Product Moment and help computing statistical program SPSS for Windows 18:00. Categorization results showed 90 contained 73% of the study subjects had the emotional maturity of categorization was, 92 contained 74% of the study subjects had moderate conformity to the categorization. Based on the comparison of hypothetical Mean Mean empirical and emotional maturity categorization of subjects included in the study were likely to be high, whereas conformity categorization of subjects included in the study were likely to be high. The results of the correlation coefficient r = 0.278 with a significance level (p) 0.002 (p <0.01). The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between the variables with the variables of emotional maturity on adolescent conformity. Based on the analysis we concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between the variables of emotional maturity on adolescent conformity with the variable, meaning that the higher the emotional maturity of higher conformity, conversely the lower the lower the emotional maturity of conformity.Keywords: Emotional maturity and conformity
