Abstract

The Geogebra-assisted inquiry learning paradigm was created to increase students' mathematical thinking. This research will identify the learning device. This is development research. This study will be done in SMA Negeri 1 Gebang, Jl. Diponogoro, Pekan Gebang, Kecamatan Gebang, Kab. Langkat, North Sumatra 20856. The research found: 1) The device is valid. 2) The device developed is practical with an average value of 3.07 (category "Medium") and 4.04 (category "High"); 3) it is effective because (a) the final test of students' Mathematical Reasoning abilities was 52% with 21 students (58.33%) declared complete and trial II 30 students (83.34%). (b) Trial I's student response questionnaire score was 89% and trial II's 95%. 4) Students' mathematical thinking improved with a 0.28 score (0.3 < g≤0.7) in trial 1 and a 0.67 score (0.3 < N-Gain ≤0.7) in trial II, meeting the "moderate" criterion.

Abstract

According to the initial observation in SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam, there are educators who have not fully exploited the design, development, and utilization of media, particularly e-comics media that have never been implemented. Additionally, pupils who are still lacking in problem-solving abilities. (1) Creating legitimate, workable, and effective e-comics medium is the goal of this project, and (2) to evaluate the enhancement of problem-solving abilities through the use of e-comics media that are PBL. The ADDIE model was implemented in this investigation. Seventh-grade pupils from SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam participated in this investigation. Instrument utilized in the development of e-comics media, including lesson plans, LKPD, and problem-solving ability assessments. The study's findings indicate that the media e-comics satisfy the valid criteria with a score of 4.69, subsequently conducted trials to develop a practical and effective media that satisfies the practical criteria with a score of 88.95, and satisfy the effective criteria with a score of 87.79On average, the N-gain for the medium group was 0.33 when the problem-solving ability was assessed from N-gain to the development trials. In the high category, the average N-gain was 0.73 when the problem-solving ability was measured against posttest I and posstest II. The e-comic media PBL is capable of enhancing the problem-solving abilities of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam, as indicated by the N-gain results.

Abstract

This research develop a digital learning materials that implemented in Ambarita Village, situated near Lake Toba, Samosir Island, that has preserved its indigenous knowledge and traditional customs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the following: 1) the effectiveness, validity, and practicality of the PBL e-module based on Batak Toba Culture (PBL BTC), which was created to improve students' problem-solving skills at SMP Negeri 1 Simanindo; and 2) improving students' problem-solving skills through the developed e-module. The ADDIE is being used in this study. Two results were obtained from the class IX-2 test: 1) The PBL BTC e-module met the requirements of validity, effectiveness, and practicality; 2) Using the PBL BTC e-module improved problem-solving skills as demonstrated by the N-gain value of 0.506 and improved self-efficacy by the N-gain value 0.338 which places it in the "medium" category

Abstract

The study seeks to ascertain disparities in the enhanced mathematical reasoning abilities of students instructed using inquiry-based methods versus those taught using mathematics problem-solving educational approaches. Additionally, it aims to discern variations in the increased self-assurance of students taught with inquiry-based methods compared to those taught with mathematics problem-solving educational approaches. This study falls under the category of quasi-experimental research. This study is being conducted at a Higher Secondary School in Labuhan Batu regency during the academic year 2023/2024. The research schedule is organised to align with the school's activities. The research included a cohort of 72 high school students in the X-grade. The survey results indicate that students who use inquiry approaches and problem-solving approaches demonstrate different levels of improvement in their mathematical reasoning skills. Additionally, there are variations in the level of enhanced self-confidence among students who use Inquiry and Problem Solving Approaches. Furthermore, there is a clear distinction between the effects of inquiry and problem-solving approaches on students' mathematical reasoning ability and self-confidence

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To find out whether there is a difference in students' ability to understand concepts between students who were given Macromedia Flash media and students who were given Power Point media (2) To find out whether there is a difference in students' independent learning abilities between students who were given Macromedia Flash media. with students who were given power point media. This type of research is a quasi experiment. This research was carried out in SMA Kesatuan Meranti in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of the research show that: 1) There is a difference in students' ability to understand concepts between students who were given Macromedia Flash media and Power Point media, where the application of Macromedia Flash media was better than students who received Power Point media for their ability to understand concepts; 2) There is a difference in students' independent learning abilities between students who were given Macromedia Flash media and Power Point media, where the application of Macromedia Flash media was better than students who received Power Point media for students' independent learning abilities; 3) There is an interaction between learning media and student learning motivation which is used on students' ability to understand concepts; 4) There is no interaction between learning media and student learning motivation which is used on students' independent learning abilities.

Abstract

Quantitative and quasi-experimental methods were employed in the investigation. Help with IT issues from a technical standpoint Scholars hold freedom and education in high regard. We administered these tests to eighth graders at Nurul Azizi Integrated Islamic Middle School. Thirty pupils make up each of the two VIII B and VIII A Random classes. The study established two groups: one to serve as a control and another to serve as an experimental group. Compare and contrast VIIIA with VIIIB. The control group used more traditional methods, while the experimental group used problem-based learning based on information technology. a research project having a strong emphasis on numerical data and statistical analysis. A statistical analysis was conducted. To estimate or predict something about a broader population, sample statistics can be utilized. Using assumptions about the data's underlying distribution, parametric statistics involves drawing conclusions about population parameters. A hypothesis is tested before any experiments are conducted. 1) The term "normality" describes a state of being typical or adhering to an average or standard. 2) Homogeneity is the attribute of being consistent or having the same makeup or nature throughout. 3) A hypothesis is a theory or prediction that can be investigated by observation or experimentation. The following results came from the study's investigation and discussion: The use of issue-based learning at SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi improves pupils' math problem-solving skills. This result was not unexpected, considering that the control group only managed 70 on average, whereas the experimental group averaged 82.27. Based on a 2-way significant value (t-tailed) of 0.000 and a 5% significance level (5.793>2.002), the problem-based learning strategy used by SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi enhances students' autonomy when compared to traditional methods. Compared to the experimental class, the control group had a lower average score of 74.70 and an average score of 85.83. This research employed a two-way ANOVA with an α = 0.05 significance level. Students' ability to learn mathematics independently at SMP IT Nurul 'Azizi was influenced by their learning model (p-value < 0.05) and their baseline mathematical aptitude (high, medium, or poor). This research employed a two-way ANOVA with an α = 0.05 significance level. With a significance level of 0.036, the final result is lower than the presumption of significance (0.05).
