This study's sample was buyers of branded bags in Indonesia, with as many as 150 respondents. The method utilized was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study’s findings indicated that social and personality factor influenced consumer purchase intention. Social and personality factor influenced purchase intention mediated by attitude toward brand. In addition, the relationship between social factor and purchase intention was moderated by hedonic value. Likewise, personality factor and purchase intention were moderated by hedonic value.

This research also examines the indirect effect of human resource flexibility on employee performance with organizational culture adaptation as a mediating variable; the influence of organizational culture adaptation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable; and also the influence of human resource flexibility on job satisfaction with organizational culture adaptation as a mediating variable. The sample in this study amounted to 153 employees of Courier Service Companies. The sampling technique uses sampling with certain criteria. SEM-PLS is used to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the human resources flexibility and job satisfaction had a significant influence on employee performance, but organizational culture adaptation did not have a significant effect on employee performance, this also resulted in the adaptation of organizational culture not able to mediate the effect of human resource flexibility on employee performance. However, the adaptation of organizational culture is able to mediate the effect of human resource flexibility on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is also able to mediate the influence of organizational culture adaptation on employee performance.

Abstract

Various literature states that employee knowledge about brands is a major determinant of the success of the services provided by the organization. Therefore, employee knowledge about brands is important to understand, especially related to the antecedents and results of that knowledge. Although there have been studies that discuss employee knowledge about brands, antecedents, and results of employee knowledge about brands are still widespread in various studies. The purpose of this paper is to review the literature relating to employee knowledge about brands and propose a future research agenda related to this topic. The method is identifying previous literatures which investigated the topic. The findings show that there are several antecedents and the results of employee knowledge about brands that have been studied in the literature. This literature review concludes that future research can discuss various antecedents and results of employee knowledge about brands that have not been discussed in the research of the reviewed literature.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the process of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) employee in hospitality industry especially in hotel and restaurant. The author test the role of transformational leadership and mediation role of affective commitment and work engagement toward OCB in workplace. Data were colleted from 218 hospitality employees in frontliner area.  Instrument convergen and discriminant validity and hypothesize test using structural equation model - partial least square (SEM-PLS) method with SMART PLS 3.  The result show that transformational leadership have positive effect toward OCB. In addition,  affective commitment and work engagement also show partial mediation effect in relationship between transformational leadership and OCB in workplace. The results showed that transformational leadership has no direct effect on OCB like most other Asian studies. This study found that transformational leadership can influence OCB through the mediating effect of affective commitment and work engagement. These results are expected to enrich the psychological mechanisms that can explain the effect of transformaional leadership on OCB. Future research is expected to be able to explain a more comprehensive flow of transformational leadership, affective commitment, work engagement and OCB.

Abstract

The study investigates how systematic, continuous, and discrete (jump) risk can explain the equity returns in Southeast Asia markets. Using the latest econometric techniques and a high-frequency dataset, I construct two high-frequency betas associated with intraday continuous and discontinuous risk premia. To improve our consistency, I employ several statistical robustness levels and multiple frequencies. The findings show that both continuous and discontinuous risk premia are significant and positive in Indonesia, and these results are consistent for lower frequency data samples. Furthermore, the study reveals that diffusive and jump risk premia have different impacts in other countries, but the results are not consistent for lower frequency samples.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamic aspects in the capital structure decisions of manufacturing firms in Indonesia, offering a continuation to the existing literature on Indonesia by using a dynamic model, including the existence of optimal capital structure, the determining factors, the speed of adjustments, and the aiding theories to explain the findings. The findings show that Indonesian manufacturing firms do practice optimal capital structure and are altered by firm-specific and time-varying factors. Despite relatively recent data and more specific sample firms (one industry only), the results of this study still need to be further developed. The sample chosen focused on listed firms, hence the results may not be generalized to all Indonesian manufacturing firms. This research is expected to have profound implications for future studies of capital structure and might one day be able to help firms, investors, and authorities in making effective decisions, as well as analysts in observing the correlation between the capital structure theories and the financing practice of manufacturing firms in Indonesia.
