Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui penerapan LKS discovery berorientasi keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa rata-rata ulangan harian sebelum tindakan 71,37 dengan ketuntasan belajar 43,59 % dan setelah tindakan hasil belajar siswa rata-rata ulangan harian 77,95, dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 71,79 %. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan penerapan LKS discovery berorientasi keterampilan proses sains dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP. Research aims to improve science learning outcomes through the implementation of discovery-oriented worksheets science process skills. Results showed student learning outcomes on average daily tests before action 71.37 with 43.59% mastery learning and action learning outcomes of students after the average daily test 77.95, with 71.79% completeness classical learning. Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that the application of discovery-oriented worksheets science process skills can improve student learning outcomes science of SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan proses sains dan apresiasi siswa terhadap profesi pengrajin tempe dalam pembelajaran IPA berpendekatan etnosains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa pada uji coba I sebesar 64,58%,  pada uji coba II sebesar 70,10% dan sebesar 74,26 % pada uji coba III. Hasil perhitungan terhadap angket apresiasi siswa terhadap profesi pengrajin tempe diperoleh nilai N-gain > 0,70 yang berarti peningkatan apresiasi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi.   This study aims to determine the profile of science process skills and appreciation of students to the profession tempe producers in learning science with etnosains approach. The results showed the average percentage of students in science process skills test at 64.58% I, II trials of 70.10% and 74.26% for the III trials. The calculation result of the appreciation of students' questionnaires to obtain professional craftsmen tempe-gain values ​​N> 0.70 which means an increase in appreciation of students are in high category.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the influence of two learning models and learning reliance on students’ scientific literacy. The method used was the treatment by 2 x 2 level. The participants were 36 students from the Department of Biology Education who were grouped into two categories based on the reliance questionnaire score, i.e., categories of high and low. The data were collected through scientific literacy tests, data analysis using two-path ANOVA formula followed by the Tukey test. The results showed that there was an influence on the interactions between the learning models and learning reliance on students’ scientific literacy seen from the ANOVA test results which obtained F = 29.88, =0.05. The Tukey test analysis identified; (1) Scientific literacy of college students who used the Science, Technology, Society (STS) model was higher than those who adopted the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model with Q = 4,74 at =0.05; (2) The scientific literacy of students having high learning reliance using the STS learning model was better than those applying the PBL with Q = 11,78 at =0.05; (3) The scientific literacy of students having low learning reliance using the STS learning model was lower than those using the PBL with Q=5.07 at =0.05. It concluded that the STS learning model could improve the students’ scientific literacy. In other words, the STS learning was more useful for the high reliance students than those with low reliance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbasis CTL pada pembelajaran fisika dalam mengembangkan learning community dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta mengetahui dampak penerapannya terhadap learning community dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X-7 SMA N 1 Tahunan Jepara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meningkatnya hasil belajar serta berkembangnya learning community siswa kelas X-7 SMA N 1 Tahunan Jepara setelah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbasis CTL pada pokok bahasan listrik dinamis.This research is describe the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD CTL-based for Physics learning subject to develop learning community, improve students learning and also find out the outcome of its implementation  to the learning community and learning result of SMA N 1 Tahunan Jepara Students class of X-7. The research result shows that there is an improvement of students’ learning result and also a development of learning community of N 1 Tahunan Jepara Students class of X-7 after implementing cooperative learning model STAD CTL-based for Dynamic Electricity topic.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out effectiveness of the application of scientific literacy-based natural science teaching set toward the students’ learning activities and outcomes on the topic of The Interaction of Living Organism and Environment. This study is a quasi-experimental study of non-equivalent type (pretest-posttest). The results showed that the teaching set was effective, as proved by the t-test of the learning outcomes of the experimental group (t4,78> t1,66) which was different to the control group (thitung>t1,66), the results of the experiment group n gain average was 0,55 and the control group was 0,39 which was in the average category. The t-test value of the activities in the experimental group (t3,52>t1,66) was different to the control group (thitung>t1,66). Based on the analysis results, it could be concluded that the application of the scientific literacy-based natural science teaching set was effective toward the students’ learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

Inquiry-based science issues approach facilitates the development of scientific skills through research activities on surrounding science issues. The purpose of this research was to understand the influence of Inquiry-based science issues on practical skills of Junior High School students. This research employed quasi-experimental research method, equipped with pre-test, post-test non-equivalent control group design. The sample of sixty junior high school students in Yogyakarta was picked for this study.  The instruments used were observation sheets on practical skills, practical skills test, and instructional learning sheets. The data collected were analyzed using N-Gain, percentage, and Analysis of Covariate (ANCOVA) at 0.05 significance level. The result revealed that Inquiry Science Issues was more effective in fostering students’ practical skills than the scientific approach. There was a significant effect of treatment on students’ practical skills while no interaction between approach and prior knowledge of students. Moreover, the data of practical skills through the observation sheets in the experimental class had higher percentage compared to the control class, 80.36%, and 70.61% respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan problem based learning dalam upaya mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PGSD FKIP UMK Kudus pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran Sains. Salah satu keunggulan dari model pembelajaran problem based learning yaitu mampu melatih mahasiswa dalam menggunakan berbagai konsep, prinsip dan keterampilan yang telah mereka pelajari untuk memecahkan permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Dengan penerapan problem based learning, kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat berkembang, karena pada kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diamati dalam penelitian ini berupa kemampuan mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, memecahkan masalah, berpikir logis dan membuat keputusan dengan tepat serta dapat menarik kesimpulan. This research aims to describe the application of problem based learning in developing critical thinking skills of PGSD FKIP UMK Kudus students on Science Learning courses. One of the advantages of problem-based learning  model that is able to train students in using a variety of concepts, principles and skills they have learned to solve the problems being faced. With the implementation of problem-based learning, critical thinking skills can develop, because the critical thinking skills were observed in this study is the ability to identify, analyze, solve problems, think logically and make the right decisions and to make conclusions.

Abstract

Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebagai dampak penerapan model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran sebagian besar hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif meningkat kategori sedang. Hal ini diindikasikan oleh rata-rata skor gain yang dinormalisasi <g> hasil belajar kognitif dan <g> keterampilan berpikir kreatif meningkat sebesar 0,44. Hasil-hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model SCL fisika berbasis proyek merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. This study propose to determine the increasing of concept mastery’s and creative thinking skills’s students impact to application of learning model. The result showed that the application of learning model enhance the most of concept mastery’s and creative thinking skills’s moderately category of medium. This is indicated by the score mean gain normalization <g> concept mastery and <g> of creative thinking skills is about 0,44. These results indicate that the SCL based learning is one of the most effective learning models to be used in order to rise concept mastery’s and creative thinking skills’s.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian survai terhadap mahasiswa baru Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UIR tahun ajaran 2013/2014 untuk mengetahui profil kesadaran dan strategi  metakognitifnya. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru Pend. Biologi tahun ajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 6 kelas paralel. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 77% dari total populasi mahasiswa.  Dengan analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang masuk dalam kategori Masih belum berkembang (MBB) telah tidak ada (0 %). Sebanyak 3,24% mahasiswa masuk dalam kategori belum begitu berkembang (BBB); 25,41% mahasiswa masuk ke dalam kategori mulai berkembang (MB); 62,70%  masuk ke dalam kategori sudah berkembang baik (SBB atau OK); dan 8,65% mahasiswa masuk pada kategori super atau berkembang sangat baik. Sebanyak 39,45% telah dilatihkan menggunakan strategi metakognitif dalam belajar seperti membuat ringkasan (26,5%), menggaris bawahi bacaan (8,65%),membuat peta konsep (6,48%), dan membuat jembatan keledai/ titian ingatan (1,08%). A research survey among new students of Biology Faculty of Teacher Education UIR academic year 2013/2014 to determine the profile and awareness of metacognitive strategies. The study population was a new student Pend. Biology of the school year 2013/2014 as much as 6 parallel classes. The sample used by 77% of the total student population. With descriptive analysis showed that students who fall into the category of still undeveloped (MBB) has no (0%). A total of 3.24% of students in the category of less developed (BBB); 25.41% of students fall into the category began to grow (MB); 62.70% belong to the category are well developed (SBB or OK); and 8.65% of students entered in the category of super or growing very well. A total of 39.45% has been trained in the use of metacognitive learning strategies such as preparing a summary (26.5%), underlining the reading (8.65%), create a concept map (6.48%), and create mnemonics / memory bridge (1.08%).

Abstract

This study was done to depict Project Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with science science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), to enhance elementary school students’ science literation. Theme used in this study was air pollution. Research method was quasi experimental with The Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. It was conducted in 56 seventh graders of SMP Islam Terpadu, Sukabumi in which 28 students were in experiment class, and 28 students were in control class. Data is collected by pretest and posttest of sciences literacy and students questionaire about PjBL STEM. Based on the data analysis, it was known that the N-Gain averages of sciences literacy were 0,31 in experiment class as middle category and 0,22 in control class as low category. T-test showed that scientific literacy enhancemen in experimental class was more significant than in control class. General students’ reponses showed that almost all students was excited to PjBL STEM learning, got impressive experiences during the learning and boost their learning motivation and interest.
