Dinamika Pendidikan (p-ISSN 1907-3720, e-ISSN 2502-5074) is a scientific periodical published by the Department of Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang collaborate with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidik Ekonomi Indonesia (ASPROPENDO), Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Akuntansi Indonesia (APRODIKSI), Asosiasi Sarjana dan Praktisi Administrasi Perkantoran Indonesia (ASPAPI) with the aim to promote creativity scholarly or academic lecturers from various institutions in general and the community UNNES internal academic specifically. The article published scientific literature contains research results, conceptually as well as reviews of books in the field of economic education, accounting education, and educational administration offices. First published in 2006, published in a year, June and December. Dinamika Pendidikan has become a CrossRef member with DOI prefix: 10.15294. Therefore, all articles published by the journal have unique DOI number. The journal has been also accredited for five years based on The Decree of Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 48a/E/KPT/2017, dated on October 30th, 2017.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know junior high school students interest in choosing vocational school (SMK). The research took place in 2 RSBI junior high schools and 2 SSN junior high schools in Semarang. The population of this study 854 students and the samples were 120 students.The data were collected by questionnaire and interview. Then, the data were analyzed by percentage description. The results showed that (1) RSBI junior high school students interest in choosing vocational school is very low. (2) SSN junior high school students interest in choosing vocational school is very low.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze the implementation of School-Based Management in State and Private Vocational Schools (SMK) in Semarang Residence, and to identify the overall performance of State and Private Vocational Schools (SMK) in Semarang Residence which based on School-Based Management. The population of this study was all State and Private Vocational Schools (SMK) in Semarang Residence. The sample consisted of 10 State Vocational Schools (SMK) And 10 Private Vocational Schools (SMK). The results showed that either the principals of State Vocatinal Schools (SMK) or the principals of Private Vocational Schools (SMK) had very ideal criteria, curriculum and teaching programs had optimal criteria, staff had ideal criteria, students had ideal criteria and the infrastructure had highly optimized criteria.

Abstract

The study was inspired by some phenomena such as; the low quality of education in Indonesia, the high unemployment of Vocational high schools graduates and the measurement of school’s productivity which only was seen by the numbers of graduates. The objective of the study was to find the contribution of teachers’ competencies, the culture of school organization, the financing of education, the leadership of the principal, the roles of school committee would influence simultaneously and partially toward the process quality and productivity of vocational high schools based on business-management in Semarang. The respondents were 138 Vocational High Schools teachers based on Business and Management in Semarang. The data were collected by questionnaire, documentation and interview. They were analyzed by doubled regression. The result showed that the culture of organization, the leadership of the principal, and the school committee gave positive influence simultaneously   toward the process quality and school productivity. Whereas, the teachers’ competencies and the financing of the school did not give any influence toward the process quality and the school productivity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students academic achievement and motivation using the plane asked. Action research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Weleri with research subjects class VII-F by 30 students. Implementation research is conducted in two cycles. Data collecting technique consists of two data, test data and non-test. The results showed learning by using the asking plane can improve student achievement. This is evidenced by the increase in value by 53% a write test, and the achievement of the KKM (Minimum Completences Criteria) on aspects of an increase of 40% is exceeded. Learning process by using the asking plane capable of increasing student motivation VII-F class. Indications of this increase can be seen from the data increases in value by 36,7% motivation. Development of student’s behavior increase. The student’s abily to respond and answer the questions rose by 3,33%. Student activity in listening increase of 3,33%. Student skills in presenting the material to rise by 3,34%. While the student activity in discussion groups experienced increase of 0,83%.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve accounting students’ creativity and achievement in the lesson of journalizing on XB class in SMK PL Tarcisius 2 Semarang in the Academic Year of 2011/2012 by PAKU media. It was a class action research which designed in two cycles. The subjects of the study were students of class XB in SMK Tarcisius 2 Semarang in the academic year of 2011/2012. The objects of this research were accounting learning creativity and accounting academic achievement. The data were collected by documentation, observation and tests. The results showed that (1) accounting learning creativity in learning journalizing  by PAKU media increased up to 12% from the initial condition to the first cycle, and rose 11% from the first cycle to the second cycle and 23% from the initial condition to the second cycle. (2) students’ accounting academic achievement in learning journalizing  by PAKU media also increased up to 25% from the initial condition to the first cycle, rose 17%  from the first cycle to the second cycle, and 42% from the initial condition to the second cycle.

Abstract

The Economics learning in SMP Nasima Semarang did not use an approach which involved students’ roles and potencies. Thus, it needs the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) learning model and Digital Word Square technique through class action research to solve the problem. The data showed that students’ activities such as motivation and activeness on the 1st cycle and 2nd cycle increased significantly. Whereas, the average of evaluation test result on the 1st cycle was 6.00 and rose to 8.57 on the 2nd cycle. It increased up to 29.98%. Based on the data above, It can be seen that the STAD learning model and DigitalWord Square technique was effective to improve students’ competencies to understand the concept of Money and Banks for the 9th Grade of SMP Nasima’s Students in the academic year of 2011/2012.

Abstract

Intention of research this is to improve quality of study of public relations, to increase the spirit of learning student, to uplift skill teacher in developing model and study media and to increase the achievement learn student. This research is research of class action which is consisted of three cycle. Result of research show achievement learn natural student of improvement in each its cycle. learn student of before applying of method Think-Pair-Share 0%, after applying of method Think-Pair-Share, learn from student after conducted by a final test is 76,67%. Enthusiasm, livelines and student cooperation in course of study of 1-4 result is good ( 3,39). Perception result hit skill teacher in study management by using method Think-Pair-Share with 1-4 showing good result with rate from cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3 is 3,38. Abstract

The purposes of this study are to (1) test and gain empirical evidence on the effectivity of Teams Games Tournament as a teaching method used in Cost Accounting I to improve students’ competence on group work; (2) test and gain empirical evidence on the advantages of Teams Games Tournament as a teaching method in Cost Accounting I to improve students’ comprehension and active involvement in teaching-learning process. The subject of the study was  Accounting students on 4th semester of Semarang State University who were taking Cost Accounting I. This study involved 2 lecturers who also taught Cost Accounting I.  Data collection methods were documentation, test, and observation. This research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of several stages; they were pre-reflection, planning, acting, observation and post-reflection. The result showed that teaching Cost Accounting I by implementing Teams Games Tournament  as a Teaching Method on raw material cost, labor cost, and factory overhead cost can improve students’ competence and active involvement in teaching-learning process. It is proven that average scores of 10 teams of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycles were getting better; the scores were 61,07; 70,57; and 89,07. It indicates that the result has reached the stated target that is if students who get score more than 70 were 80% or more, the teaching method is considered successful. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research to find out the effectivity of Teams Games Tournament as a teaching method in other accounting subjects by modifying the research design in order to get significant changes.

Abstract

Teachers use SATUS learning model which includes observing, asking, trying, practicing and communicating with other people, all materials are made in steps so students can interpret and discuss the material of Trading Business Accounting. The objective of the research was to know the effectiveness of SATUS learning model which involves the learning activities at class XII IS 3 as the controlled class and class XII IS 4 as the experimental class. It was a classroom action research of experiment type. The data were collected by field observations. Then, the data were analyzed by descriptive comparative analysis of mean different test. The result of the research showed that SATUS learning model effectively improved students’ learning outcomes. This model involves all senses, learning styles and multiple intelligences which makes students empathize with others and environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find a model in improving RSBI vocational schools teachers’ English skills in Central Java. This study used research and development(R &D) design developed by Borg & Galland. It was a qualitative research; data were collected by interviews, questionnaires and observations to get the primary and secondary data. The study was located in Central Java focusing on RSBI Teachers’ English Skills. The benefit of the research was to provide an alternative in improving RSBI vocational schools teachers’ English skills. The result was a model product in improving RSBI vocational schools teachers’ English skills in Central Java. Thus, it is suggested for RSBI vocational teachers to improve their English skills by using this model.
