Dinamika Pendidikan (p-ISSN 1907-3720, e-ISSN 2502-5074) is a scientific periodical published by the Department of Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang collaborate with Asosiasi Profesi Pendidik Ekonomi Indonesia (ASPROPENDO), Asosiasi Profesi Pendidikan Akuntansi Indonesia (APRODIKSI), Asosiasi Sarjana dan Praktisi Administrasi Perkantoran Indonesia (ASPAPI) with the aim to promote creativity scholarly or academic lecturers from various institutions in general and the community UNNES internal academic specifically. The article published scientific literature contains research results, conceptually as well as reviews of books in the field of economic education, accounting education, and educational administration offices. First published in 2006, published in a year, June and December. Dinamika Pendidikan has become a CrossRef member with DOI prefix: 10.15294. Therefore, all articles published by the journal have unique DOI number. The journal has been also accredited for five years based on The Decree of Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 48a/E/KPT/2017, dated on October 30th, 2017.

Abstract

The academic performance of an institution empirically is determined by six performance indicators, namely: infrastructure-educational facilities (tangibles); reliability faculty and staff (reliability), responsiveness of faculty and academic staff (responsibility); treatment of faculty and staff to students (assurance); understanding the students’ interests (empathy), and student satisfaction (satisfaction). The problems of this study are; (1) how is   the students’ satisfaction toward academic service? (2) How is the performance of academic program? How high is academic performance? What factors affect the performance? The objectives of this research are (1) to describe students’ satisfaction toward academic service, (2) to describe the performance of academic program, to describe academic performance, and to describe the factors which affect academic performance at Post Graduate Programs in Semarang State University. The method of this research was description. The results of the study were; the six academic performance indicators are in good category, students’ satisfaction toward academic service both in the scope of study program and Post Graduate Programs are classified in good category, and the description of study programs’ academic performance result  generally was in good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of Social Studies learning. Learning Social Studies using "Snakes and Ladders" technique is expected to improve the quality of Social Studies learning and to improve students’ achievement. This was a class action research and the subject of research was class VIII B, SMP Negeri 2 Jatilawang. This research focused on improving the processing skills and the achievements of Social Studies learning in class VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Jatilawang. This Class Action research involved Social Studies teachers and used questionnaires, observation, documentation and test for data collection. Data on the processing skills were collected with observation by the researcher assisted by teacher partners. The learning achievement was collected with test results taken from the end of each cycle, and then processing skills and academic achievement were compared between before and after the research. In addition, the results of each cycle were supported by students’ responses. Data on students’ achievement were obtained from daily tests scores before the research comparing with the scores of each quiz cycles. The research was done in 2 cycles; each cycle consisted of 4 meetings. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the application of  “Snake and Ladder” technique in Social Studies can improve students’ involvement in various learning process for  the achievement was 80.2% or 29 students (the performance indicator was 75%). The second performance indicator was at least 85% students achieved 64, the minimum score of KKM at the last test of the II cycle with the achievement was 88.89% or 32 students.

Abstract

Microsoft Office Access (Ms Access) is a database management system which is a Relational Database Management System. The database in Microsoft Access is a set of objects consisting of tables, queries, forms, reports. Archival system is basically to store useful various files for organizations with the specific rules so the files can be found quickly and easily. Therefore; Microsoft Office Access is an appropriate breakthrough to build archival application systems based on Microsoft Office Access. It is not only easy to be operated but also available a package of Microsoft Office program. One of the most important benefits of the database is to facilitate the access to the data. The ease of accessing the data is the implication of the order data since it is the prerequisite of a good database. The database of archiving system is an application or system design which allows the archives storage digitally. The objective of the e-archives application program using Microsoft Access is to facilitate the delivery of material practices of electronic filing (e-archives). The purposes of the scientific study are: (1) to determine the basic concept and scope of Electronic archives (e-archives), (2) To know how to use the media of electronic archives (E-archives) aided Microsoft Office Access in the learning activities for Vocational students of Office Administration program.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the use of the economics comic medium on the basic competence of national income. This medium was selected since students faced difficulty to understand the concept of the economics. The study took place in SMAN 1 Demak, Mranggen. The subjects were 36 students of X-4 class on the 2nd semester in the academic year of 2011/2012. It was a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The result of the 1st cycle showed that the average of students’ learning outcomes was 71 with classical achievement was 69%, so it increased up to 33% comparing to the initial conditions. In the 2nd cycle, the average of students’ learning outcomes was 74 with classical achievement was 86%, it rose by 17% which was better comparing to the 1st cycle.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to improve students’ activity and students’ learning outcomes for accounting students in the first grade in SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga at second semester in the academic year of 2011/2012. This study was a class action research which was designed into two main cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages started from planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The result showed that : (1) Learning activities with the above three criteria,  increase from 33.34% before the cycle, 66.66% in the first cycle and 93.44% in the second cycle, (2) The learning outcomes increase from 22.22% before the cycle, 75% in the first cycle and 94.44% in the second cycle. Therefore; the use of this method could be a teachers’ reference in implementing the teaching-learning process.

Abstract

Students’ motivation to learn Economics especially at 10th Grade on the Unit of National Income in SMA N 1 Ungaran in the academic year of 2011/2012 was low. It was only 50% students who got score more than the minimum score (KKM). The research discussed about the effort to improve students’ learning achievement on the unit of National Income through interactive media (ITC) with talking stick learning model. The objective of the class action research was to improve students’ achievement on Economics on the unit of National income. The learning process was done in 2 cycles. Based on the result and discussion, pre-test assessment, 1st cycle test, and 2nd test cycle, the tests showed the increase. There were 16 students (50%) from 32 students who completed the competencies on the pre-test, then it increased to 25 students (78.13%) on the 1st cycle and finally all students (100%) completed the competencies on the 2nd cycle. Furthermore, students’ motivation based on the questionnaire showed that there were 84.39% students agreed and 15.61% disagreed on the 1st cycle. Then, it increased to 93.75% on the 2nd cycle. Whereas, the observation on the 1st cycle showed that there were less motivated students and after joining to the 2nd cycle, almost all students were more active so the study result increased.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to know the effectiveness of Group Investigation method to improve the quality of students’ motivation in Budgeting subject, and (2) to know the effectiveness of Group Investigation method to improve the quality of  students’ learning in Budgeting subject.  This study was Class-Action Research which was designed into two main cycles, the 1st cycle and the 2nd cycle. Each cycle consisted of some stages; they were planning - implementation - evaluation and reflection. The research was conducted at accounting class, Economics Faculty, UNNES started on June until November 2008. The collected data were: (1) students activities during learning, (2) faculty and student interaction, (3) the level of student motivation, (4) student achievement and (5) students response to the learning process. Observation of the learning process carried out by two lecturers. The quality of the learning process in the classroom can be illustrated by the lecturer’s activities that should be able to motivate students to learn actively and creatively. The result showed that there was improvement in all aspects of learning so that the average score also increased from 76.18 to 84.64. It also showed that all aspects of students’ activities in the classroom increased, especially in the aspects of teamwork and discussion because of the number of members in each group in the 2nd cycle was relatively smaller than the number of members in each group in the 1st cycle. The quality of student learning outcomes is the output of the learning process in class. In the 2006 curriculum, student learning outcomes are based on the degree of students’ mastery with value standard indicator determined. The result showed that there was an increase in the students’ score. The highest score was from 87 to 95 and the lowest score was from 50 to 62, so the average score was 76 and the degree of mastery became 83%. It meant that students could improve their understanding of the materials and concept of risk management through the Discovery Learning approach.

Abstract

Students Cooperation (Kopma) which was still difficult to improve the welfare of its members was one factor influencing the low interest of students to be the members of Kopma. The objective of this study was to know and understand the factors that affect the interest of cooperation economics education students to become the members of Kopma.The population of the study were the 2nd semester of Cooperation Economics Education students. The data used in this research was the primary data obtained from the respondents directly. The data collections were students knowledge about Kopma, the benefits of Kopma and the Cooperation Subject. The data analysis was logit analysis with likelihood maximum method. The result of analysis using 5% significance level was that students’ knowledge about Kopma, the benefits of Kopma, and good understanding of Cooperative Subjects gave the positive effect to students interest to be the members of Kopma in Semarang State University (Unnes) for Cooperation Economics Education students.

Abstract

The problem of the study was how to improve the learning quality at bilingual class for Cost Accounting subject through Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) strategy? It was an action research as a tool to test the effectiveness of CLIL learning strategy at bilingual classes for Cost Accounting subject. The classroom action research was implemented by two (2) cycles and done at bilingual classroom for Cost Accounting 2 subject. The data were collected from the pre-test and post-test which reflected students’ understanding on the materials presented. The indicator of the success was at least 75% students can achieve the complete learning outcome, i.e. 71. The data were collected by observation sheets to obtain the feedbacks from lecturers and students. The results showed that the lecturing implementation of Cost Accounting 2 with CLIL strategy was more qualified and varied technical lectures each meeting. The students’ methods and learning activities were hot seat game, role as a teacher, discuss in pairs, and peer tutoring learning. Furthermore; there were other learning activities such as making a note, preparing resumes formula, updating facebook status, and making a question. Students’ activeness was better than the previous lectures. The success indicators of implementation of the action research can be achieved, 100%  students were able to achieve complete learning outcomes value, i.e. 71. The observations also showed that students can improve their teamwork, confidence, and other characters.

Abstract

Learning environment and teachers’ professional competence are factors which can affect students’ achievement. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement either partially or simultaneously. The populations were 133 students and the samples were 100 students. Then, data were collected by questionnaires and documentation. The calculation of multiple regression resulted the equation of Y = 60.866 + 0.114 X1 + 0.048 X2. The coefficient of determination simultaneously; learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement was 53.3%, the coefficient of determination partially; learning environment toward students’ achievement was 26.3%, and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement was 16.9%. It was concluded that there was significant influence of learning environment toward students’ achievement, there was no significant influence of the teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement, and there was significant influence of learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement.
