Abstract

In this study, there are two types of environments under study , the natural environment and social environment.The purpose of this study was determine the level of education in the village housewife Klaling Jekulo District ofKudus Regency, the behavior of the housewife in the maintenance of environmental hygiene in the village Klaling,determine the relationship between the mother's level of education and household behavior in the maintenance ofenvironmental hygiene with a total population 2,539 people. The sampling technique using Random Sampling.The attitude of the housewife in the maintenance of cleanliness of the neighborhood turned out to be none noattitude with the criteria strongly disagree. And to conduct housewives already know and understand how theactions and behaviors in maintaining the cleanliness of the neighborhood. The results showed levels of educationhousewives are a number of educational level of 9.28 % Housewife (elementary school), then 22.68 % Housewifewith high enough criteria, 58.76 % Housewife with high criteria, and 9.28 % Housewife with very high criteria (college ). It can be concluded that the housewife can determine or make a change in the maintenance ofcleanliness of the neighborhood. Government needs more hygiene promotion for the sake of understanding of thehome environment quality homes.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan ini adalah mendeskripsikan konsep dasar pembelajaran kontekstual, penginderaan jauh, dan implementasi pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi penginderaan jauh. CTL merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang direkomendasikan untuk dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas untuk memberi efek pengalaman belajar optimal kepada siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dipahami karena di dalam CTL melibatkan tujuh komponen utama, yaitu constructivisme (membangun), questioning (bertanya), inquiry (mencari), learning community (masyarakat belajar), modelling (pemodelan), reflection (umpan balik), dan authentic assessment (penilaian sebenarnya). Kegiatan belajar materi inderaja di menara MAJT nampaknya sangat sederhana karena yang muncul adalah kesan bermain, santai berpotret ria dan kegiatan ringan lain. Namun demikian, jika dikaitkan dengan karakteristik CTL, kegiatan tersebut merupakan salah satu contoh bentuk pembelajaran kontekstual. Sebab dalam pemanfaatan MAJT siswa secara nyata berhadapan dengan dunia kehidupan yang betul-betul ada. Melalui pembelajaran tersebut komponen pembelajaran kontekstual yang terdiri dari constructivisme, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modelling, reflection, dan authentic assessment dapat diwujudkan. Abstract

Flood disaster, by number and economic losses, account for about a third of all natural catastrophes throughout theworld. Semarang, as a waterfront city has been suffering from floods since historic time. This research aims to capturepeople’s perception and response to two different kind of flood. The study focused to identify and analyze communityresponse and its relation to their knowledge, preparedness and action level. An exploratory case study based onprimary and secondary data. The primary data were collected through observational study, questionnaires, semistructured interviews, and FGDs. A sample size of 128 was chosen based on purposive sampling methods. The findingsof the study indicated that people in the coastal areas have a high level of knowledge about floods (64%). Thisknowledge is comparatively high on amount of their past experiences of floods; however they lack in preparedness(43%) because most of the residents are fishermen who have low income so they could not must much effort to adapttheir building to flood. On the other hand, people in the inland, they lack in knowledge (18%) because flood iscomparatively recent in their area; but they have a good level of preparedness (24%) because they belong to high andmiddle level income strata. Furthermore, both communities in the coastal area and inland have a high level of actionbecause of a high knowledge and experience for coastal residents and a good preparedness for inland residents. Thisresearch leads to recommendation to improve the adaptive capacity of the people to cope with the floods. Therecommendation is to develop Community-based Disaster Education (CBDE) Framework with the main purpose is toincrease community knowledge about disaster and to enhance community resilience to flood.

Abstract

The the residential building, the existence of cemetery land is a requirement that must be met, but the existence ofcemetery land often not available to occupants of the residential. The existence of cemetery land should be optimal soas to boost the usefulness of cemetery land. To determine the level of optimization of the existing cemetery land in aresidential area in Boyolali Regency then conducted research with the aim to determine whether the residential sidewas optimal in supplying cemetery land and to know the work done of occupants of the residential related to the limitedof cemetery land and the way to determine the location of the cemetery. Technical analysis used in this research usingdescriptive quantitative methods with score techniques and supported by strengthening of qualitative data from theresults of key figures interviews. Results of the research showed 76.4% of the residential supply the cemetery land thatis not optimal and 23.4% supply the cemetery land facilities that are not optimal. The selection of the cemetery landwas likely to choose the village cemetery land and obstacles often encountered were the refusal of the villagers to usethe village graveyard. The conclusion in the form of 26 residential use of land owned by the village cemetery and 8 areabsolutely no cemetery land that can be used for residential residents. While the majority of the residential occupantschoose to use land owned by the village cemetery for their funeral procession.

Abstract

Pada lazimnya mata kuliah umum (MKU), terlebih mata kuliah yang berbobot 0 sks seperti PLH, sangat dikawatirkan kualitas produk pembelajarannya karena para mahasiswa kurang termotivasi untuk belajar optimal khususnya pada kompetensi ranah afeksinya. Padahal dengan telah dicanangkannya UNNES sebagai Universitas Konservasi tentu mata kuliah ini merupakan mata kuliah penunjang program tersebut. Permasalahan rendahnya motivasi dan sikap apresiasi konservasi alam ini barangkali bisa diantisipasi dengan peningkatan proses dan kualitas produk pembelajaran yang baik dan tepat yaitu dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual yang berintersepsikan Green Campus for My City melalui penelitian tindakan. Subyek penelitian adalah mahamahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup Jurusan Geografi UNNES Semarang yang berjumlah 40 mahasiswa. Prosedur pelaksanaan meliputi : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian tindakanmenunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran pada perkuliahan PLH dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran tadi, dapat secara efektif meningkatkan kinerja dosen. Kinerja dosen pada proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan pada siklus I memiliki kriteria “cukup baik” (rerata skor 3,03) mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi “baik” (rerata skor 3,67), 2) Kondisi aktivitas belajar mahasiswa dengan tindakan kelas ini juga mencerminkan adanya peningkatan, yakni aktivitas belajar mahasiswa pada siklus I yang secara umum memiliki kriteria “cukup aktif” (rerata skor 2,93), pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi kriteria “aktif” (3,64), 3) Prestasi atau hasil belajar mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan seiring dengan peningkatan kinerja dosen dan aktivitasbelajar mahasiswa. Realitas ini ditunjukkan dari peningkatan rata-rata nilai tes pada siklus I sebesar 74,05 meningkat menjadi 82,35 pada siklus II dan hal ini diikuti pula adanya peningkatan skor skala sikap mahasiswa terhadap lingkungan hidup menuju konservasi alam dari siklus I sebesar 30,85 (kriteria “cukup baik”) meningkat menjadi 36,75 (kriteria “sangat baik”) pada siklus II.Simpulan yang diungkap yaitu dari serangkaian pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual berintersepsikan Green Campus for My City dapat dilakukan secara kondusif. Ini ditandai adanya semakin meningkatnya kualitas kinerja dosen dan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa mulai siklus I sampai dengan siklus II, selanjutnya diikuti semakin meningkatnya hasil belajar maupun sikap mahasiswa terhadap konservasi alam.

Abstract

Study process could be say success if could improve student result from cognitive,psicomotoric and affective aspect. The aims of this study were: 1) Improvingactivity in Action Class; 2) Creating study process based on active student. Thisresearch consist of three cycles, and each cycle consists of planning, action,observation and reflection. Result showed that in cycle I, innovative action fromthe teacher in Action Class could improve until more than 22%, which showed byresponse from 2 out of 9 exist activity indicators. In cycle II, student’s activityincrease 16,7% from cycle I or with other word, cycle II activity was more than86%. The significant improvement (more than 97%) or increase more than 27,8%got from cycle III. Based on research’s result, it could be confirmed that byinnovative action from the teacher between Action Class and Parallel Class, therewere no different in study activity of hydrosfer and its impact to daily life. Theconclusion said that each cycle improvement more than 33% got from innovativeaction of the teacher.

Abstract

Objective of this research to determine the pattern of behavior of the community in disaster risk reductionlandslide in the Banjarmangusub district of Banjarnegara district. The main research method is survey.Data collection technique used test, questionnaire, observation, documentation, interviews and Focus GroupDiscussion (FGD). Quantitative and qualitative approaches are used in the data analysis of this research.The results showed a pattern of behavior in the research community did not show any significant correlationwith the knowledge and attitudes the community in efforts to reduce the risk of landslides. Attitudes andknowledge of the community in disaster risk reduction landslides goodenough, but not yet reflected in thepattern of behavior. The pattern of behavior of local communities in efforts to reduce the risk of landslidesstill low.

Abstract

Buku teks Geografi merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang paling umum digunakan dalam pelajaran geografi. Buku teks yang digunakan siswa dan guru yang ada masih perlu diperbaiki untuk peningkatan kualitasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kualitas buku teks Geografi dalam pembelajaranGeografi SMA di Kota Semarang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru, dan buku teks pelajaran geografi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 15 SMA, baik SMA Negeri maupun swasta, dengan responden 15 guru, dan 3 buku teks geografi yang paling banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Variabel yang dikaji meliputi: kualitas, kesesuaian materi dengan kurikulum dan pemanfaatan buku teks geografi. Data yang diperoleh statistik deskriptif. Hasil yang dalam penelitian ini sebesar 76,96 %. Bila dikonsultasikan dengan skor yang ditetapkan peneliti termasuk kriteria sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa buku teks yang di gunakan dalam pembelajaran di Kota Semarang masih dapat digunakan sebagai sumber media pembelajaran di sekolah namun harus di dukung oleh buku-buku lain sehingga materi yang di sampaikan dapat mencapai standar kompetensi dan kompetensi dasar. Abstract

This study aimed to improve learning outcomes in geography atmosphericmaterial using Digital Learning Media application (MPD) for Students X.2 SMA1 Grobogan the Year 2009/2010 Semester 2 (first grade of Senior High SchoolStudents). Sources of data in this study consisted of: (1) The results of the abilityevaluation to analyze the geosphere elements before action; (2) The results of theability evaluation to analyze the geosphere elements after the action (in the formof test scores). The results of this study showed that by using the Learning DigitalMedia Applications (MPD) can improve learning outcomes for students ofGeography Matter Atmospheric X.2 SMA 1 Grobogan in the 2nd half year2009/2010. Interpretation of these results are based on research result in the firstcycle and the second cycle compared with the pre-cycle conditions, i.e. there is adifference or learning outcomes improvement. Quite category student grades (62-75) decreased by 60% in the first cycle and 70% in the second cycle. A decreasein “Fair” category (62-75) this resulted in increasement of “Good” category(76-89) that was equal to 60% in the first cycle and 70% in the second cycle andthe increasement of the “Excellent” category (90-100) by 4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of learning Geography, to analyze learning outcomes ofGeography, and to discover the advantages as well as obstacle factors in implementation of learningGeography of class X subject matter Hydrosphere, which used “Pantai Ayah” as learning source. Thisresearch methodology used descriptive quantitative. Population of this research were all student of class Xin Sumpiuh Senior High School. Sampling technique were using random sampling. Data collected throughtests, questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interview. Results of this research showed thatlearning implementation was great with the preparatory percentage stage 100%, the implementation 83,3%,and the follow up 91,6%. It showed 24 students got mark over minimum rate criterion and 6 students gotunder minimum rate criterion. The advantages of this learning were increased knowledge of outdoor studymethod, interesting learning increased creativity, increased learn interest, enthusiastic attitude as well asgood infrastructure provision. Obstacle factors were cost, time, distance, physical condition, and security.
