Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of IT-based learning application program Ms. Access in improving students’ understanding on the subject of an inventory of supplies management courses. Competence standards is considered successful if the student has the following indicators (a) at least 75% of students scored at the end of seventy (b) the activity and attention of students during the learning process increases. As for the professor, is considered successful when the learning management capabilities increase. This research is a class act. The research was carried out in vocational education administration office with a time of study for 6 months. The number of students is one of a number of study groups 54 people. The results demonstrate the application of IT-based learning program Ms Acces very effective in increasing student understanding of the subject inventory. It also increases the activity and attention of students during the learning process and learning ability of lecturers in the subject of inventory management. Advice related to the results of this study are: (1) At the time of implementing IT-based learning application program on the subject of Ms Access inventory of facilities and infrastructure should support such as the Internet network must already exist and are connected properly, (2) In order to optimize the learning process, lecturer at the beginning of lectures should give examples of using the program in advance to students with a coherent phase.

Abstract

The application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners learning is the combination of song, movement, and language by using audio, visual, and kinesthethic. This research aims at applying young learners learning model, which consists of; to look for and select nursery rhymes and movement implemented in TPR and repetition model, to determine steps and flow is used in English young learners learning, to create learning CD, and TPR and Repetition handout, to analyze the use of TPR and repetition in young leaners learning. The significance of the research is to contribute English young learners teachers learning model so the learners are able to learn English easily and attractively. The result of this research influences positive effect towards English young learners mastery because they are able to learn and sing simultenously to memorize new vocabularies using musical movement. It can be seen from the investigation result of the use of course design and lesson plan is 71,67, the investigation result of the use of course design, lesson plan, learning CD, and TPR handout is 72,5. Moreover, the application TPR and repetition before and after learning it has improvement 34,15. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners / kindergaten learning can be applied well and give motivation to learn English easily.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the scientific attitude and students responses toward the implementation of practicum based learning program. The method used was quasi experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design . This observations was held in general biology subject, science education department, Semarang State University academic year 2009/2010. The sample used was two classes, they are: experiment class (38 people) and control class (38 people). Data obtained in this research is the scientific attitude of student data and student responses to learning data. Test difference of two scientific attitude means between the two treatment groups using the z test. Student response data as supporting data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The data analysis showes the students scientific attitude of the experiment class have N Gain 0.13 and the control class has N- Gain 0.06. Scientific Attitudes trial classes differ significantly from the control class level of significance α = 0.05. Students generally responded positively toward learning. The students declare pleased with the learning since it improves interest of learning, understands the concept easly, furthermore develops hands on and minds on. The Conclusion is practicum-based learning provide a positive influence on students scientific attitude.

Abstract

This research is a kind of developing research, which develops learning instruments visioned by SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society). The main purpose of this research is to find out the improvement and learning result of physics subjects, especially in optical devices, of Xth grader students at SMA 1 Semarang. This purpose is held by implementing learning set/unit envisioned by SETS. This research is also held to know the impact of creativity in learning result. The subject for this reseach is class X.2 which consists of 39 students and is choosen randomly (cluster random sampling) from 9 regular classes exist. To understand the improvement of creativity and learning result of students, the writer makes some tests of verbal creativity and comprehension on the concepts of optical devices. The responds from the subject is known by giving a questionnaire about the learning process. Result of students creativity observed was 52% at the beginning and increase to 61% at the end. From the whole results of the learning process, the learning set/unit envisioned by SETS shows an improvement of learning result proved by increment of average value from 39 to 78 within the range of 0 – 100 so that 64% N-gain included in medium category. The lowest value before this process held was 19, and after this process held was 67. In addition, the highest value before this process held was 59, and after this process is held was 85. The influence of creativity to learning result of students is tested by analysis of simple regression, which tests normality of subject result in normal distribution. The value of R Square obtained in the research is 0.58. It means that students creativity influences the learning result by 58%. Meanwhile the rest of 42% (100%- 58%) was influenced by other factors which were not learnt in this study.

Abstract

Indonesia is facing problems about the low quality of teachers. Based on early competency test performed (UKA) on candidates to be certified teachers, found low national competence of teachers with the point of 42,25. Need to be analyzed various factors causes low teacher quality, including by analyzing the prospective teachers are college graduates. In this research, tested the level of readiness of prospective teachers to become teachers professional accounting. The aim of this research is to (1) determine and analyzed the influence of achievement practice field experience (PPL) against readiness students to become teachers economic subjects/accounting that professional, (2) determine and analyzed the influence of mastery of student professional competence against readiness to become teachers economic subjects/professional accounting, (3) determine and analyzed the impact of student motivation against readiness to become teachers economic subjects/professional accounting. Research method in this research using multiple regression with a design research quantitative description. Based on t test have been made, it turns out the achievement of the practice field experience (PPL) have no influence on the readiness of becoming a teacher professional ac- counting. Did not influence the achievement of the practice field experience (PPL) caused by some things, including (1) the personal relationships with students of teachers, (2) Less attention from teacher to student were having a practice field experience (PPL), (3) To compete with students practice field experience (PPL) of other universities. As for professional competency and motivation of students having the effect on readiness to be a teacher is indicated by significance of 0,007 and 0,006. Both influential each of the 43,5% and 44,5% of readiness students to be teachers accounting in which the professional.
