Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the basic model in order to produce a performance increasing mathematics teacher of SMK in Semarang. The population of this research were teachers of mathematics SMK in Semarang by the number of mathematics teachers 249 teachers. The sampling technique using proportional random sampling of 200 teachers. The research was only conducted on a sample group. Samples were partially or representative population research. The data captured by a structured questionnaire scales and analyzed with the AMOS programe. The result of research showed that the data is fit based on the analysis of structural equation modelling, variable on the full model with a significance level (P) against the chi-square for model (104.692) The biggest contribution of each indicator to construct as the following (1) variable of teacher’s work motivation with indicators of self-reliance in the acting of estimate value of 0.840, (2) variable of motivation teacher’s with indicator innovative creative activity estimation value of 0.792, and (3) variable of teacher’s competence with indicator the professional of the estimate value of 0.682. These three variables influensed the performance variables with indicators for the evaluation of the estimate value of 0.755. The implication in this research, self-reliance that is acting teacher in revitalizing teacher forum (MGMP) and create learning with PAIKEM approach, teachers do creative activities that make the planning, implementing and evaluating a coherent and continuous, professional teacher must have mastery of the material, curriculum, and a broad educational foundation.

Abstract

Lecturers have a responsibilityto make their learning process positive and productive. Just likeother learnings, visual art learning also needs innovative learning methods. But this statement is not in line with the reality. In general the visual art learning still describes authoritative educational practices and lecturer-centered-learning.The lack ofinteractive communication between faculty and students and learning resources, students tend to appreciate, passive and accept just lectures given by lecturer. At the time of learning student appreciation rate still low. It is seen when students are faced with works that have meaning and value of tall. Student difficulties in understanding, appreciate andevaluate to performent art. Oflearning activities the impact of low competencestudentsin the art appreciates. To improvethe learning activities researchers applied the method of group investigation. Problems in the reseach such as what the application of group method of investigation can increase motivation, responbilitas, and the standards of competence students. The purpose of research are to describe the application of group method of investigation can increase motivation, responbilitas, and the standards of competence students. The research designusing theprocedurePTK that implemented in two cycle, each cycle consist of planing, acting, and reflection. Research subject are lectures and strudents even semester 2012 consisting of 8 girls and 7 boys. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, document and field record. Data analysis using descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results of the study shows that there is improvement on students’ motivation, motivation, responbilitas, andthe standards of competence students. Improve Students Competence occurs ineachindicator, responbilitas 5 indicator, and competence students on appreciatethework of art 5 indicator. Conclusionsof the researchis that The Investigation Group Method can Improvestudents motivation, responbilitas, andthe standards of competencein appreciating fowadrs’ visual art creation. Sugestions of the research are that (1). Lecturers should apply this method to improve students’ motivation, (2). Students shouldndo visual arts appreciation to improve cognitive, affective, and psichomotoric competence, (3). Education institution should support any learning method innovation invention to develop the quality of the institution.

Abstract

The problem of this study were (1) how the model construction and evaluation instruments (2) whether the instrument can be used to evaluate the results of the implementation of learning English curriculum in Biological Science Education Program UNNES lecturer in terms of performance indicators. Development of research aims to produce an evaluation instrument and whether the instrument can be used to find English-language classes are conducted in accordance with the expected success criteria I-MHERE program for faculty performance indicators. Methods of model development to take some model development procedure Borg & Gall. Model validation is done through focus group discussions and request a written opinion of an expert. The data were analyzed descriptively and used to produce products in the form of evaluation instruments for use in model evaluation context, input, prosses, and product or the Stufflebeam CIPP. The results component in the form of instruments to evaluate faculty input, the input component of the curriculum, and the components of the curriculum implementation process of learning English I-MHERE Prodi Education in Biology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in particular to review the indicators UNNES lecturer. The instrument has been developed to serve the purpose of such instruments are developed until the early trials.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the knowledge and attitudes of students to expose conservation on campus. This implies there are phrases that are used to always uphold the principle of the protection, preservation, utilization and sustainable development of natural resources and cultural arts, the preservation of the environment on campus conservation. Alteration between environmental changes and the language learned through ekolinguistik study. Based on student attitudes toward environmental conservation can be identified expression of the most popular expressions are: “Embung, Di Kampus: Jalan Kaki atau Bersepeda, Yuk!, Salam Konservasi, Bebas Sepeda Motor, Flora, Fauna, Sampah Organik, Sampah Anorganik, Menanam Pohon, Menanam Harapan, Konservasi Budaya, serta Ramah Lingkungan”. In addition, this research was also identified most not popular expressions that are: Birdfeeder, Peta Tutupan Lahan, Birdwatching, Sarasehan Selasa Legen, Buletin Pelangi Konservasi, Etalase Konservasi, Kicau Konservasi, Majalah Konservasi, Green Corridor, serta Bangunan Hemat Energi. Attitudes and knowledge of students in the development of the University of Creation is one of the keys to success vision application of Unnes. This implies that student attitudes toward environmental conservation on campus will affect the behavior of students in private or community conservation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of goal setting methods on learning outcomes of students of PTM in a kinematics and dynamics course. The subjects were PTM students even semester of 2011/2012, Engineering Faculty UNNES. This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes in the earlier half of the semester-indicated because of lack of motivation in learning. This study used an experimental method. The population was 45 students in one class, divided into 2 groups, control class and experiment. Each subject in the study period of 7 lessons given the task to make a goal at the end of the course as well as a weekly goal. Series of goals made by the subject is placed on the the wall to give positive affirmations. At presence measurement, goal setting gives a significant number to the difference in the number of student attendance. Data for quiz grades showed that the effect of this method was not significant. This study shows that the goal setting can be applied to increase student motivation. It would be better if supported by increasing self-awareness through the control of behavior.

Abstract

The need for this study stems from the accumulation of non-tuntasan learn physics due to the integration of assessment with learning in school. The formulation of the problem is how to develop an online assessment system for the diagnosis of cognitive junior physics using computerized adaptive testing (CAT) in order to facilitate the realization of assessment for learning in school? While the goal is to design and build a prototype system question bank and online cognitive diagnostic assessment using CAT for junior high school Physics. Development is done using the system development life cycle (SDLC) and a checklist to identify the data on compliance with specifications question bank, a prototype system assessment, cognitive diagnosis report, and revised prototype. Exploratory descriptive approach shows that with open source technologies potentially resulting product can be run on the network to the Internet or local computer networks in schools. Physics problem decomposed into components of problemsolving as measured by two 2-tier multiple choice items. Problems (testlet) packaged in modules that are presented to the user is adaptive to the user’s level of cognitive ability. Cognitive profile of qualitative and quantitative diagnosis of the resulting constructive learning process for improvement. Prototype results of this study can be accessed at: http://aku-bisa.com.

Abstract

Sports game is one of game and sport material that aims to develop learners’ motor coordination through team play activities. Not all schools teach all the materials in big ball games. Based on the explanation above, it is necessary to develop a great ball game that can develop motor coordination skills of learners. Development procedures used; 1) analyzing the products that will be developed, 2) develop initial product, 3) validation experts, 4) field trial, 5) revision of the product, and the results of product development. Instruments used; 1) the data of pulse capture, (2) the questionnaire related to the learner psychomotor responses, cognitive, and affective (3) observation of the effectiveness of the basic techniques used in the product. Results of this study that have been found; (1) TEAMS SPORT products games, (2) the effectiveness of game products to increase physical activities of students, (3) the TEAMS SPORT game can overcome the limitations of the instructional time allocation, (4) the complexity of motor coordination skill. The conclusion are the use of SPORT TEAMS game product in learning gives the effect to the physical intensity, can cope with limited facilities and infrastructure, can overcome the limitations of instructional time allocation, and provide an experience of complex motor coordination. Suggestions for Sports teachers in high school to use this game at school, in learning a great ball game high school class X.

Abstract

In learning process, specific approach is needed in order to achieve the expected outcome. The approach is usually in a form of method related to the material being taught. Vocal learning in the classroom often often makes students less interested, this is proven by the test result which shows that 30% of the students are below the minimum passing score criteria. The implementation of solfegio method aims to improve the students’ interest in learning vocal so that the students will achieve maximum learning outcome above the minimum passing score criteria. This classroom research aims to improve students’ interest in learning vocal and improving their learning outcome by using solfegio method. The object of this research were the students of SMP 2 Pemalang grade VIII E. The method used in the research is classroom action research, it is a research aiming to solve classroom problems. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of: planning, observation, action, and reflection. The data were collected through: documentation, observation, questionnaire, and test. The data analysis technique used in this research are descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. From the vocal learning prosess in VIII E Class at SMP N 2 Pemalang, which has been carried out through the analysis of action research with two cycles, it can be concluded that vocal learning by using solfegio method has given positive impacts in improving students learning outcome indicated by the improvement of their minimum passing score criteria. Only 41% students passed the minimum criteria in cycle 1, and then it reached 89% in cycle 2. In addition, the application of the solfegio method have a positive effect, which can increase student interest shown by the average of the students’ answers result to the questionnaire which states that students are interested in vocal training with solfegio method. So the conclusion from this study is that the solfegio method gives positive effect on vocal learning to the students at SMP 2 Pemalang.

Abstract

This study is about the use of Writing Workshop as a strategy in Paragraph Based Writing (PBW) class to improve students’ ability in writing a paragraph. The statement of the problems in this study are (1) how Writing Workshop strategy can be used in PBW class to improve the ability of 3 semester English department students of Unnes in writing a paragraph, and (2) whether the use of Writing Workshop can change the students attitude when they are asked to write a paragraph. Its aim is to describe how writing workshop strategy can be used to improve the ability of 3 rd semester English department students of Unnes to write a paragraph. The research methodology was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four meetings. In those cycles, the students involved in all activities of writing workshop startegy, such as mini lesson, writing time, sharing (author’s chair), and writing celebration. In cycle one, the material was about narrative texts. In cycle two, the material was about expository texts. The result showed that there was an improvement in the students’ scores between pre test and post test scores. It was 39.25. Another good results could be seen from the observation and interview. The students’ understanding of the materials was good. Their writing of a paragraph got better constantly. For example, the ideas were getting better, the organization of paragraph was correct, the appropriatteness of grammar and diction was accurate, also the mechanics were good. Besides, the students were more motivated.

Abstract

Vocational education curriculum 2013 that applied nationally in the academic year 2014/2015 mandated that religious subject added character educational in which contactwith aspects of soft skills. This needs to be addressed by LPTK as producer vocational teacher candidate, so that future graduates are able to fulfill the mandate of the curriculum. Curriculum vocational teacher candidates who applied seems also still focused on providing hard skills competencies, so that graduates do not have adequate soft skills competence. On the other hand in the world of work has been going on trend shift in terms of hard skills to soft skills.Research and development is designed to go through stages and multiyear to produce soft skills development strategy for prospective teachers of vocational school. Development strategy departs from theoretical studies and mapping needs soft skills aspects of relevant research, analysis and LPTK vocational curriculum, soft skills needs and job requirements of future trends, soft skills required by vocational teachers, teaching soft skills already there, done to map the needs and later for further development until the hypothetical model generated Late models. Subjects were LPTK lecturers, teachers of vocational productive industrials. Data were obtained by observation and interviews, review of documents that the results were analyzed with descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. There are several aspects of the soft skills required candidates vocational school teachers, among others: (1) self-discipline, (2) responsibility, (3) the spirit of the work, (4) problem solving, (5) collaboration, (6) the ability of communication, (7) personality, (8) social attitudes, (9) critical thinking, (10) creative thinking and innovative, (11) confidence and (12) self-motivation. Soft skills development strategy skills prospective teachers through extra-curricular with gradual pattern through four stages, namely: (1) the development of talent themselves, (2) environmental adaptation, (3) involvement in the organization and (4) development of social life and soul of educational. There needs to be a policy of the leaders of institutions to incorporate soft skills as part of the curriculum and study for the development of the model and test to kwoning the effectiveness of the model.
