Abstract

This study is aimed to understand whether there are differences of student’s study achievement between the usage of jigsaw cooperative study model with the usage of team games tournament (TGT) study model, also to understand which one is more effective between both of two in the progress of student’s study achievement development. This research is quasi experiment. Free variable in the research is jigsaw cooperative study model and teams games tournament and as the bond variable is student’s study achievement. The population in the research are all of grade IV students of MBS Elementary School of Bantul Regency Year of Study 2010/2011, sample that used are grade IV students of Kembang Putihan Elementary School, Guwosari Elementary School and Sungapan Elementary School. In the research, there is 2 experiment class namely Jigsaw class which is treated with cooperative study of jigsaw and team games tournament (TGT) class which is treated with cooperative study of team games tournament (TGT). Method that used in the data obtaining are documentation, test, and observation, whereas data analysis uses t-test. The result of the research shows that cooperative jigsaw study model is more effective compared with the cooperative team games tournament (TGT) study model. It is shown with calculated t as much as 2,196 larger than t-table = 1,99 for a = 5%, it means there is study achievement’s differences between cooperative jigsaw study model with cooperative team games tournament (TGT) study at grade IV students of year of study 2010/2011. in the other side, based on the study achievement score of the students, it is shown that cooperative jigsaw study model have ability to give better student’s study achievement score with average score 80,82 higher than the usage of cooperative team games tournament (TGT) study model that is 75,05

Abstract

There are still many students of Pemalang Junior High School 5who consider art and culture subject as an unimportant lesson compare with other subjects being tested in the national exam and that it is a mere complementary subject. This can be observed through the fact that there are many students who scored below schools academic standard, which is 75, and teachers have not applied the approach and effective teaching approaches to improve students achievement. The purpose of this research are (1) to find out the improvement of students’ motivation in learning national music through appreciationapproach, and (2) to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning national music through appreciation approach.The approach used in this research is classroom action research with four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) analysis and reflection. Results were analyzed by quantitative descriptive techniques to describe the data and compare the findings with predetermined indicators. The research results shows that the process of learning national music through appreciation approach can improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes. These improvements are influenced by the activities of students in the learning process derived from the observations using the observation sheet, interviews, documentation, and performance of the students in singing, as well as the score of their daily tests. By the end of the second cycle, thestudents activity improvements increase from 50% to 70%.

Abstract

The purposed of this research are: 1) how the implementation of the strategy of character education through learning-based mind mapping with Mindjet Mind Manager, 2) the extent of implementation of the strategy of character education through learning-based mind mapping with Mindjet mind manager in improving students’ understanding of the concept of office management, 3)What values are embedded in the learning based mind mapping with mindjet mind manager. This research is classroom action research. The results showed that: 1) Implementation of character education through learning-based mind mapping with Mindjet mind manager implemented with methods of theory and practice in the learning process, so that students in a creative character, respect other people’s work, honest, confident and brave their ideas and ideas can be formed, 2) learning-based mind mapping with Mindjet mind manager is highly effective in improving students’ understanding of the basic concepts of management offices. It also increases the activity and attention of students during the learning process and the learning ability of lecturer in management,3)character values that are embedded in the learning process is self-reliance, hard work, creativity, honesty, respect other people’s work, critical. Advice related to the results of this study are: 1) At the time of implementing the learning-based mind mapping with Mindjet mind manager should facilities and infrastructure such as the Internet must be available and connected to the well, 2) For optimum learning more, at the beginning of the lecture lecturer should provide examples of using the program prior to the student with coherent phase.

Abstract

The team’s findings pengampu lecturer in learning suggests that students when given an assignment to create / modify props / lab science experience difficulties. Most students collect assignments product is not the work itself or the group, but the Internet search results. From the assessment results of the assignment, less than 30% of students who scored ≥ 75 so that if no immediate action is taken, the course learning objectives IPA Professional Development Teacher is not reached. Research purposes to improve the ability of students in developing appropriate technology fields Science Education. The study was conducted in a class action Prodi Science Education with the goal of student rombel 2, which amounted to 25 people. Results showed students have been able to create or modify props / lab science well, evidenced from the appraisal report containing a draft study visit product design with a range of scores obtained between 82 to 91 and from assessments of products that have made students more than 70% have earned a good category. The conclusions of this research is the ability of students in developing appropriate technology education can be improved through the implementation of study visit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine (1) the improvementof students achievement in the subjects of Arts and Culture, specifically the basic skills competencies to play music ensemble, and (2) the improvement of students learning activities in the subjects of art and culture, particularly the basic competency skills of playing music ensemble. The method used is this research is classroom action research by using peer tutoring which includes four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) analysis and reflection. The research design used in this research was applied research design according Chemish Tagart. This research is collaborative, involving cultural arts teachers to carry out the observation and reflection. Results were analyzed by quantitative descriptive techniques to describe the data and compare the findings with predetermined performance indicators. The results of this study indicate that: First, peer tutoring learning can improve students achievement at Moga Junior High School 1. This is proven by the material mastery improvement from 36.11% on the pre-cycle to 83.33% by the end of the second cycle. Second, peer tutoring method can improve students learning activity. This is proven by the improvement in activity score from 2.30 on the pre cycle activity to 3.51 by the end of the second cycle. Peer tutoring learning methods should be developed in schools teaching materials, especially music ensemble which requires a long time allocation to practice the skills of playing music.

Abstract

One appropriate learning strategies to support e-learning, is a learning method Student Centered Learning (SCL). The term Student Centered Learning (SCL) is a method of learning and teaching in education wherein the student has responsibility for several critical activities such as planning, learning, interaction between faculty and students, research and evaluation of the learning that has been done. This research is a class action (class room action research), which refers to the process model, described by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. This study developed two forms dalarn, including the cycle of planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that, first; Model blogging webbased classroom learning by presenting web directly or to develop creative thinking skills have good prospects to be used in similar courses with courses in multimedia systems, second; blogging classroom learning model web-based to improve student achievement as much as 80% of students scored at least 70, Third Model classroom blogging web-based learning can also increase the ability to think creatively, as much as 70% of students have a high level of creativity to the criteria.

Abstract

Based on the data analyses problem in the SMPN 40 Semarang there low motivation, only was 20% active in the learning process, and the low of the study result indicate the lower quality of learning happened in the class VII D SMPN 40 Semarang in 2009/ 2010. That this cause there is no variation media in the learning process interaction in the ecosystem. The problems of the classroom action reasearch was “Did application of variation media inthe learning process is to improve the quality learning about interaction in the ecosystem in the class VII D ?“. The goal of the car were to increase: 1. The learning process more then pull, (2) the learning process more then interctive, (3) the quality of learning then more, (4) times efficient and energy. The subject topics were Exretion Systems and Nerve Systems. The Car is held in three cycle : in VII D class with 32 students. The research revealed that the number of students who involve in scientific work from the I-III cycles were 68,5 %, 77.7%and 82% respectively. In the I-III cycle, the number of students who satisfied with the teaching learning process was 89,06%, 90,7%, 99% respectively. The percentage teaher activity from the I-III cycle 56%, 75 %, 89.93 %. There were 59%, 65.625%, 75%, the students test result.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was 1) the exploration Application Democ- racy Education in Junior Semarang; 2) What Weakness and Strength Application Democracy Education; 3) How to model Sila Implementation 4 as the locus of Democratic Education in Junior Semarang. The research method research approach and development (research and development). Location of the study will be selected from junior high schools that have implemented Democracy Education in Semarang. This research subject in addition to students, junior high school teacher in the city of Semarang. The results showed that (1) Implementation of democratic education in schools is carried out using a simulated election dominant class president and student council president directly. These conditions resulted in the student will understand that it is democratic. (2) In a democratic learning a lot of teachers who use the method of discussion, the conditions will be created to make students’ perception that the discussion is a method for developing a democratic character. (3) Many students found that dominant, apathetic, normal. Dominant conditions are not controlled by the teacher. (4) The Council is the original form of discussion Indonesia with special characteristics not shared by ordinary discussion.

Abstract

This research objective was to disseminate and to test the effectiveness of the design of integrative communicative Javanese language learning in elementary school based on verbal folklore as a form of cultural conservation. This research used experimental research method. The subjects of this research were elementary school teachers and students in Semarang and Banyumas. The result of this research showed that this learning design was effective. The students’ result of study in experimental class was better compared with control class and students’ performance in experimental class during the learning process was more active, enthusiastic, and creative. According to the teachers, this learning besides teaching language, art, and culture was also educating character as well. Moreover, this learning was as alternative of Javanese culture preservation.Keywords: integratif, komunikatif, folklore lisan, konservasi budaya

Abstract

Techniques of Data Collection are observations,interviews, questionnaires, testsanddocumentations. The data analysisis descriptive statistics. The research finding showsthat development of Science learning based onICT in animalsand plantsadaptation competency can effectivelyincrease the students’ activity, it is shown that students work dominantly using computer as alearning media, teachers usuallyimplement learning based on ICT, it can complete the studentslearning outcomesalso studentsand teachersresponsetowardlearning process based on ICTbelong to good.
