Abstract

The Fire Detection System can be supported by Internet of Things technology, e.g. a Microcontroller device which is used to control the related devices. In this study, android-Based fire detection system was designed in which the house owner can always monitor the condition of the house all the times and accessing the information about their house when a fire occurs until the fire suppression process is complete. Information of the house condition will be displayed on the Blynk application which is located in the kitchen area and is connected to several supporting sensors. The design of a Fire Detection System Using an Android-Based Microcontroller is divided into several stages, namely: (1) Requirement Identification; (2) Requirement Analysis;(3) Hardware Design; (4) The software design (Arduino IDE 1.8.5 and Blynk). The testing results showed that the android-based Fire Detection System Using Microcontroller was able to provide information to residents of the house in the real-time.

Abstract

The use of information technology in education is a new breakthrough. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, many teaching and learning activities are carried out online using the internet in the form of e-learning. one important part of e-learning is the test. Computer based test (CBT) can be implemented in schools that should be accessed by students from remote places. Computer-based test applications can be used as a complement to online learning by utilizing the web technology. Web-based applications allows access by students with an internet connection using PC/Laptop or other mobile devices. In addition, implementation costs can be saved because paperless. Computer-based test applications also make it easier for teachers to grade the answer where the application can automatically provide the score instantly when students finish the test. In this study, the application was built using the web technology that run from various devices and platforms. Access applications can be designed for local network use (intranet) or online by hosting the application on a webserver. The application development uses a system development life cycle approach using PHP-MySQL technology. Keyword : CBT, computer base test, PHP-MySQL, webapps.

Abstract

PT DENSO Indonesia currently has a helpdesk ticket system based on IBM Lotus Notes. The system is currently not being used optimally because it has limited features, depends on the platform provider, and the source code is difficult to develop. The company has also taken a policy this year not to continue the subscription process to the platform provider. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current business processes and propose a new system model that is computerized, as needed, reliable, and does not depend on a particular platform. The system was developed based on a website using the Extreme Programming (XP) method as a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Unified Model Language (UML) notation as document design, and calculation of completion rate and time-based efficiency in measuring system effectiveness and efficiency. The website-based helpdesk ticketing system was successfully implemented as a new system model that runs independently and has easy-to-develop source code. The system also has a completion rate of 86% and a time-based efficiency of 0.00924 goal/sec based on a problem reporting scenario with 15 participants.

Abstract

Getting information on routes can be he main problem for visitors. For example in determining the route to a proper place for eating and how to find the closest route to a mall. Based on the existing problems, this study proposes an application for finding information about places that visitors want to go based on the closest route. Algorithm A-Star (A*) was implemented that uses the distance estimation by finding the closest path to the destination using a heuristic function as a basis to select from several alternatives effectively. The result showed that an android application can give the information about the location of places to visit for eating and malls by calculating the distance from the starting point to the end point.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the acceptance, use, and behavior of users towards the use of ERP Oracle NetSuite systems in the Purchasing Management module by analyzing how UTAUT2’s variables affected the user acceptances towards ERP Oracle NetSuite. The research method used is the UTAUT2 method, by conducting field studies to obtain information related to PT PQR and literature studies to support the theoretical data collection and analysis method to measure the user acceptance of ERP in the Oracle NetSuite Purchasing Management module system. In this study, 52 samples were collected using the saturated sample technique questionnaires. The data was analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 3.0. The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is to focus more on improving performance expectancy, habit, and behavioral intention in using Oracle NetSuite ERP.

Abstract

We proposed an Enhanced Face Image Generative Adversarial Network (EFGAN). Single image super-resolution (SISR) using a convolutional is often a problem in enhancing more refined texture upscaling factors. Our approach focused on mean square error (MSE), validation peak-signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). However, the peak-signal-to-noise ratio has a high value to detail. The generative Adversarial Network (GAN) loss function optimizes the super-resolution (SR) model. Thus, the generator network is developed with skip connection architecture to improve performance feature distribution.

Abstract

Education is a learning process for students to develop their potential skills. One of the vocational schools is the State Vocational High School (SMK) 05 Bekasi, that educates students to have high expertise in industrial fields. However, not every student can choose the right major, there are students who choose majors based on the wishes of their parents, and do not know their real potential and abilities, so that the abilities of students are not in accordance with the majors they have chosen. One way that can be used to help choose the right major is to take a preference test that is assessed by a psychologist or the Counseling Guidance section. This method is quite effective, but it takes time especially for large numbers of student. Therefore, the researcher created a website-based recommendation system to identify majors using the Forward Chaining method. The purpose of the research is to make a recommendation system to determine the majors that students will choose. The application are developed using the System Development Life Cycle.

Abstract

Scheduling problems occur in various fields, e.g., education, health institutions, transportation, sports, etc. Main scheduling problems in education is course scheduling which creates schedules for students and lecturers. In this study, course scheduling allocates the lecturers in the form of team teaching and courses into the class and a certain time to even out the workload of lecturers per day and a group of students per day in one week without breaking the constraint. The method used in this research is a genetic algorithm where Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya as the case study. The genetic algorithm process is done by getting several candidate solutions that undergo a process of selection, mutation, and crossing over to produce chromosomes with the best fitness values. The objective function in this research is minimizing the average variance of the workload of lecturers and students per day in one week. The parameters used in genetic algorithm are determined based on the Design of Experiments mechanism (DOE). The optimal parameter values ​​used to run the program are as: population size = 50, with probability of crossing over = 0.4 and probability of mutation = 0.008. The results of scheduling with genetic algorithms show that the value of the workload variance lecturers and students by considering team teaching is better than actual scheduling. The application of the genetic algorithm method results in a decrease in the standard value deviation of the workload of lecturers and a group of students in one week is 0.114 (3.68%) and 3.11 (55.7%). In addition, course scheduling uses a genetic algorithm with consider team teaching better than genetic algorithm without considering team teaching because there is no class schedule that clashes in real conditions.

Abstract

Weather is formed from a group of weather elements and can be changed fast. For example, in the morning, afternoon, or evening, the weather can be different for each place and every hour. Weather is the condition of the air that occurs in a narrow place and lasts for a short time. Weather conditions in a place can be determined by many factors, such as air pressure, humidity, wind, sunlight, and so on. Therefore, by looking at these factors it can be estimated the weather that will occur the next day. Fishermen and farmers are fields of work that are closely related to weather forecasting, accurate and fast weather predictions are needed by these fields to carry out various activities. The amount of rainfall that occurs cannot be determined exactly but can be predicted or estimated. The application of determining weather information is needed, hence, the prediction can be utilized optimally by the community. The design of a system that will classify automatically can be developed by applying machine learning methods, one of them is used in this study, i.e., C.4.5 Algorithm using weather data that a reference in determining the weather conditions whether not rainy, rainy, light rain, or heavy rain.

Abstract

Train is favorite transportation in Indonesia. The increase in the number of passengers from year to year is proof that rail transportation supports community mobility. Therefore, services are needed to accommodate the needs of the community in ordering train tickets. Currently, the train ticket booking system can be done offline or online. Especially for the online train ticket booking system, there are still some obstacles i.e., during the Covid-19 pandemic, a train ticket booking information system is also needed which must be adjusted to health protocols to minimize the spread of Covid-19 during travel by train, starting from the ticket booking process. The system development methodology used is Scrum, this methodology is a framework that applies the stages of planning, analysis, design and implementation to build or develop software where work is divided into time frames called sprints. The long-distance train ticket booking application has been able to minimize the accumulation of passengers in exchanging tickets at the train station platform.
