Abstract

PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) Tbk implements CSR commonly known as Partnership ad Community Development which is based on triple bottom line. The triple bottom line refers to society, economy, and environment. The economic program is related to small scale business partnership in terms of soft loan and grant. In terms of society and environemt, the programs include aids for natural disaster, education, infrastructure, worship places, natural preservation. The budget already disburst by PT Semen Gresik for small scale partnership amounted to 1.5 % anf for community development was up to 1 %.

Abstract

The paper is intended to investigate whether learning styles and learning motivation had influence on the learning achievement. The study was associative research. The population was the tenth graders of SMAN I Mojokerto, consisting of 343 students clustered in eight classes, while the sample was 186 students. The result shows that learning styles and learning motivation partially and simultaneously had significant influence on the learning achievement. Thus, the suitability of learning styles and the existence of learning motivation had significant effect on the students’ learning achievement.

Abstract

Pencapaian individu dari proses belajar disebut dengan prestasi belajar. Salah satu faktor internal yang mempengaruhi prestasi siswa adalah IQ dan EQ. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah ada pengaruh tingkat IQ dan EQ baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap prestasi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. sampel penelitian sebanyak 128 siswa dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai Fhitung 22,611>Ftabel 3,07 dan secara parsial diperoleh thitung untuk IQ dan EQ masing-masing sebesar5,248 dan 3,38>t tabel hitung 1,657. Selain nilai F dan t, diperoleh juga nilai R square sebesar 0,266, yang berarti bahwa 26,6% prestasi siswa dipengaruhi oleh kecerdasan intelektual dan kecerdasan emosional, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 73,4% dipengaruhi oleh factor lain. Simpulan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh secara signifikan tingkat IQ dan EQ baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap prestasi siswa.

Abstract

The study is aimed to find out the teacher’s activities of instructional management, the students’ activities in learning process, and the students’ response to the use of SAVI approach incorporated with the Numbered Head Together of cooperative learning model.The study was classroom action research, consisting of three cycles. The subjects of the study were the eleventh graders of AK I SMKN I Sooko Mojokerto. The data were then analyzed descriptively. The result shows that both the teacher’s and students’ activities indicated gradual increases the three cycles. The students’ learning outcomes  also went up in each cycle. Additionally, the students showed positive responses to the use of SAVI through NHT type of cooperative learning model.

Abstract

The research was aimed at finding out (1) how the teacher’s competence was in managing the classroom and the students’ activity, (2) how the improvement of the students’ achievement was, and (3) how the students’ response to the structured number head type was. The subject of the study was the accounting teacher and 56 students in his class. The instruments of the study consisted of observation sheet, test and questionare. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The result of the study was that the teacher’s competence in managing the class improved in every cycle. The students’ activity was considered quite good. In addition, the achievement increased as well. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model was joyful for the students.

In this research is used by quantitative descriptive research method By comparing the amount of the maxima hence can know that law of diversitas first have been fulfilled for year 2005 that is that dot of maxima from overall of fund of Rp. 2.610.069.975.893 and this smaller matter than amount of maximum of its elements that is Rp.2.788.420.651.577. So that see that have happened the effort efficient have been done/conducted by PT. Apac Image of Centertex, Tbk in controling permanent nucleus;core fund of him. In the year 2007 also is equal to year 2006 and 2005, law of diversitas first have been fulfilled by that is that dot of maxima from overall of fund that is Rp.2.226.485.457.674 and this smaller matter than amount of maximum of its elements that is Rp.2.788.420.651.577. By comparing both/ second the amount of the minima hence can know that law of diversitas second have been fulfilled, that is dot of minima from overall of fund in the year 2007, 2006 and 2005 successively is Rp. 2.226.485.457.674, 2.325.920.172.002 and 2.610.069.975.893 is bigger than amount of minimum of its elements of Rp. 2.076.400.948.504

Abstract

The application of ITF (Inflation Targeting Framework) and fiscal decentralization produces a challenge to ensure price stabilization. Fiscal decentralization determines price stability through the changing aggregate demand. Research ensures that the degree of fiscal decentralization in Regency/City at East Java has positive and significant effect on inflation at East Java, and has produced cross-sector variation of inflation.

Abstract

Poor English language competence and ineffective approach employed so far resulted in unsatisfactory learning achievement. The teacher researcher, therefore, carried out a classroom action research aimed at improving students’ learning result. The research was intended to find out the students’ learning result in the English correspondence course by using genre based approach and their response to the approach. This study employed classroom action research procedure consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The 2006- year students of office administration comprising 25 students served as the subject of the study. The study stipulates that 84 % and 88% of the students achieved minimum score threshold in the second and third cycle respectively. Moreover, most of the students had positive response to the application of genre based approach to the course.

Abstract

The research is intended to describe the teacher’s activity and that of the students, and the students’ improvement in learning achievement. This classroom action research was carried out in three cycles, each of which consisted of four stages. The subject comprised 40 students, and the object was the application of the contextual learning. The instrument consisted of observation sheet, test, and questionnaire.  The data were analyzed descriptively.  The results showed that the teacher’s competence in managing the class improved.  The students’ activity and learning achievement improved in every cycle.

Abstract

The study intended to find out (1) whether there were any differences in students’ learning achievement  after the application of the direct instruction  and problem based instruction, (2) whether the learning achievement of  problem-based instruction  was better than that of direct instruction. The population of the study was the tenth graders  which consisted of five classes, whereas, the sample was class X 1 and X 2 taken randomly. The instrument included pretest and posttest. The techniques of data analysis were normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. The results showed that there were differences in the learning results from the direct instruction and problem based instruction. The problem based instruction yielded better results in learning achievement than direct instruction did.
