Abstract

Workers’ productivity has close relationship with the competency of each worker, that is to improve work. Productivity of a company refers to the demand of needs by Maslow.  This research is aimed to know whether motivation, environment, discipline, and work spirit have an effect on workers’ productivity at production division of  PG. Gempolkrep Mojokerto. The population was the workers of production division at PG. Gempolkrep Mojokerto which consisted of 140 person.  103 person were chosen as  respondents by using proportional random sampling technique. Then,  the data obtained with questionnaire were analyzed with multiple linier regression analysis aided with SPSS programers 11.5 for windows.

Abstract

The study is aimed to know  the use of Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model to increase the eleventh graders’learning results  of the lesson material in accounting cycles of service companies at SMAN I Dringu. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, interview, and tests. The data were then analyzed in descriptive qualitative manner. The findings indicated that the students’ learning activity and learning results increased. The students also have positive response toward the use of STAD in the learning process. Moreover, the teacher’ ability to manage the class with STAD was considered good.

Abstract

Teachers as facilitators in learning process are expected to have the ability to use jigsaw method. Jigsaw is a learning model in which students work in groups, each of which consists of 5 to 6 students of hetarogenous backgrounds. The study is intended to know the implementation of jigsaw learning in SMK Negeri I Lamongan and the students’ response towards to the use of the jigsaw model. The classroom action research concisted of 3 cycles. The average scores gained from pre test I-III were 64.6, 73.3, and 80.3 respectively, whereas the average scores in posttest were 73.1, 82.6, 88.3 respectively. It means that the students’ scores increase. Thus, the implementation of jigsaw model in SMKN I Lamongan ran well.

Abstract

This research is intended to: 1) clarify the influence of cooperative learning of STAD type towards the students’ economic behavior; 2) clarify the influence of learning ways towards the students’ economic behavior; 3) clarify the influence of learning motivation towards the students’ economic behavior; 4) clarify the influence of cooperative learning of  STAD type towards learning ways; 5) clarify the influence of learning ways towards learning motivation; 6) clarify the influence of cooperative learning of  STAD type towards learning motivation; 7) clarify the influence of cooperative learning of STAD type, learning ways, and learning motivation towards the economic behavior of the students of SMP Negeri 5 Jombang. The research is designed to be a quasi experiment where 362 students of SMP Negeri 5 Jombang as the population. the samples that are randomly assigned. Then the data gathered are analyzed using ANOVA, simple and multiple linear regressions. To calculate the data, the researcher used statistical application of SPSS For windows 13 version.

Abstract

The research was to find out the process of interactive CD media development its effectiveness to enhance learning results. The study was a developmental research and classroom action research. The subjects of the study were experts in media, learning material experts, and eight graders of classroom 1 and seven graders of classroom in 4 SMP Negeri 3 Sidoarjo. The results of the research indicated that the media development  generated interactive CD learning media. In addition, the classical mastery of learning objectives increased, that is, 85.71 %, 88.7 %, and 97 % respectively. Students also responded positively to the use  of interactive CD as learning media.

Abstract

Small scale industries have been developing rapidly. The crisis in 1997 and global crisis did not bring about great negative impacts on small scale industries. Moreover, small scale industries have survived and accommodated labor. Therefore, to what extent the increase in production was achieved by small scale industries through using labor. This study was associative research. This research was aimed to find out the relationship between the number of labor and result of production in small scale steel industries. It was affirmed that there was positive relationship between the number of labor and result of production in small scale steel industries in Ngingas, Waru, in Sidoarjo municipality.

Abstract

Economic education is expected to set alumnae to have competitiveness and entrepreneural culture. Along with economic globalization, the borders of countries blur and the relation of national economy and international economy is getting tighter. In one hand, globalization in economy will increase the competitiveness of domestic products. On the other hand, globalization opens the possibility of global products to enter the domestic market. In fact, national economy is part of global economy. Thus, as a citizen we have to compete with other countries in order not to be expelled from the tight competition in the free trade era.

Abstract

This essay aims to theoretically examine intergovernmental transfer from central government to local government, especially to municipality and city. It focuses on government considerations of transfer, types of transfer, modes for determining transfer, and criteria to determine effective transfer. It finds that a country chooses a type of transfer based on its typical purposes. Indonesia only recognizes two types of transfers; specific grants and block grants. The basis for determining fund through intergovernmental fiscal transfer can be in form of; 1) based on fixed percentage from income originating from central government; 2) following an ad hoc basis; and 3) based on formula mechanism. This third variant is found widely around the world. Indonesia uses percentage and formula method. There are some requirements for effective transfer system. The first demands that local government must fund its own expenses for public services using its own financial resources. The second system uses the formula  discouraging the occurrence of financial deficit. The third states that the formula of financial transfer should be equal with the need of local fiscal and it should be in reverse comparison with the capacity of local fiscal. The fourth stresses the transparency and stability.

Abstract

The study is intended to  present a thought about the development of economic learning objectives for junior or senior high schools, that is, the developmental stage of homosocialiscus attitude for students as economic beings. That is why, the economic materials or lessons are based on character  development concerning social milieu. On senior high school level, learning economics is aimed to develop homoeconomicus attitude, that is, rational attitude as economic beings who are able to keep harmony of economic life and expand economic relation through international trade. General elaboration is aimed for the development of rational attitude in running economic activities by budgeting activities, reporting sequentially, and being accountable for financial accounts.

Abstract

The study aims to examine how the direct instruction model was used to increase the students’ achievement. This study is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles. The subjects were the eleventh graders of social science 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro.  The findings reveal that the students and teacher’s learning activities are good and the students’ learning mastery increase in the three cycles. Moreover, most of students agreed on the use of direct instruction.
