Abstract

Abstrak Kohesi Gramatikal Pengacuan dalam Cerpen Pembelaan Bah Bela karya Moh. Anwar. Dipandang sebagai proses komunikasi antara penyapa dan pesapa dalam peristiwa komonukasi secara lisan, sedangkan dalam komunikasi secara tertulis, wacana terlihat sebagai hasil dari pengungkapan ide/gagasan penyapa. Wacana yang padu adalah wacana yang apabila dilihat dari segi hubungan bentuk atau struktur lahir bersifat kohesif dan dilihat dari segihubungan makna atau struktur batinnya bersifat koheren. Wacana dikatakan utuh apabila kalimat-kalimat dalam wacana itu mendukung satu topik yang sedang dibicarakan, sedangkan wacana dikatakan padu apabila kalimatkalimatnya disusun secara teratur dan sistematis, sehingga menunjukan keruntutan ide yang diungkapkan melalui penada kekohesian. Cerpen dipilih sebagai objek kajian dikarenakan bentuk cerpen ringkas namun tetap menuntut tingkat kohesi dan koherensi yang tinggi agar tetap berupa satu wacana utuh. Oleh karena itu, cerpen berjudul Pembelaan Bah Bela diteliti karena cerpen ini merupakan salah satu karya terbaik dari Moh. Wan Anwar yang ceritanya berisi budaya jawara dalam masyarakat Banten. Analisis teks dalam penelitian ini akan menggunakan seluruh kalimat yang ada pada wacana cerpen tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan hasil analisis yang lebih nyata karena masalah kohesi dan konteks situasi menyangkut masalah ketergantungan unsur-unsur dalam wacana.Kata kunci: Kohesi gramatikal pengacuan, wacana, analisis teks, cerpen. Abstract Referent Cohesion in Pembelaan Bah Bela a Short Story by Moh. Anwar. From the prespective of oral communication discourse is understood as a communication process between an addresser and an addressee. From written communication perspective, on the other hand, discourse is thought as the expression of the addresser. An integrated discourse is the one that is cohesive and coherent. It is complete when the sentenses constituting it support the topic, and integrated when the sentences are systematic and well-structured. Well structured idea is indicated by the use of cohesive devices. A short story has been chosen to investigate as it is short yet requires a high level of cohesion and coherence to allow it to be a complete reading. This article investigate “Pembelaan Bah Bela” one of best short stories by Moh. Wan Anwar. It tells about a Jawara culture in Banten. All the sentences in the short stories are analyzed. Abstract

Abstrak Semantik Gramatikal Verba Berafiks Me(N)-Kan/-I dan Te(R)-Kan/-I dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Tulisan ini mengulas semantik gramalikal verba berafiks me(N)- kan-/-i dan te(R)-kan/-i dalam bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Data yang digunakan diambil dalam surat kabar, buku tata bahasa, dan data temuan penulis. Teori yang digunakan adalah verba, proses morfologis, semantik, jenis makna, dan gramatikal. Masalah yang dibahas adalah keberadaan semantik gramatikal verba berafiks me(N)-kan/-i dan teR-(kan/-i) yang terdiri atas bentukan dan makna. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditunjukan bahwa verba berafiks me(N)-kan/-i dan te(R)-kan/-i tergolong pada verba transitif dan taktransitif yang memiliki makna gramatikal yang bervariatif. Di samping itu, dibicarakan pula beberapa masalah yang berkaitan dengan verba berafiks me(N)-kan/-i dan te(R)-kan/-i.Kata kunci: verba, afiks, semantik, gramatikal  Abstract Grammatical Semantic of Verb with Affixes Me(N)-Kan/-i and Te(R)-Kan/-I. This paper discusses the grammatical semantics of verbs with affixes of me (N) – kan-/-i and te (R) –kan/-i in Indonesian. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data used are taken from newspapers, grammar books, and outhor-made data. The theories used are verbs, morphological process, semantics, types of meaning, and grammatical. Issues to be discussed is the existence of a grammatical semantics of verbs with affixes of me (N) –kan/-i and teR-(-kan/-i) consisting of forms and meanings based on the results of the analysis, it is indicated that the verbs with affixes of me (N) – kan-/-i and te (R) –kan/-i belong to transitive and intransitive verbs which have varied grammatical meanings. In addition, some of the problems associated with verbs with affixes of me (N) – kan-/-i and te (R) –kan/-i are also discussed.Keywords: verb, affix, semantics, grammatical

Abstract

Abstrak Spiritualisasi Pendidikan dalam Karya Sastra: Suatu Perspektif Sastra Bandingan. Spiritualisasi pendidikan merupakan konsep dalam dunia pendidikan yang memadukan antara pendidikan dan unsur spiritual. Nilai-nilai spiritual dalam pendidikan ini dapat ditemukan dalam dua karya sastra berbentuk novel, yakni Laskar Pelangi karya Andrea Hirata dan novel Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi, yang akan di analisis melalui perspektif sastra bandingan. Di dalam tulisan ini akan dideskripsikan nilai-nilai spiritual yang dijadikan basis dalam mencetak generasi unggul dalam dunia pendidikan yang terefleksi dalam kedua novel sehingga mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu bersaing dalam dunia global. Konsep-konsep spiritualisasi pendidikan dalam kedua novel ini akan dilihat dari dua sisi sekaligus yakni pendidik dan juga peserta didik. Kata kunci: spiritualisasi pendidikan, karya sastra, sastra bandingan Abstract Spiritualization of Education in Literary Works: A Comparative Literary Perspective. Spiritualization of education is a concept in the field of education that combines education and spiritual elements. Spiritual values in education can be found in two literary works in the forms of novels, such as the Laskar Pelangi novel by Andrea Hirata and Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi, which will be analyzed through the perspective of comparative literature. This paper will describe the spiritual values that form the basis for the creation of leading generation in the world of education as reflected in both novels so as to produce graduates who can compete in the global world. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemerolehan sintaksis (B1) bahasa “sasak” pada anak usia 4-6 tahun di Lombok Timur melalui permainan tradisional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitin ini adalah klausa atau kalimat (B1). Sumber data diperoleh dari anak usia 4-6 tahun di Lombok Timur selaku penutur asli (B1) bahasa “sasak” di desa Kalijaga, Kecamatan Aikmel, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan rekam audio visual. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah mentranskrip data, penerjemahan, pengklasifikasian berdasarkan jenis klausa atau kalimat, dan penganalisisan. Hasil analsis data yang diperoleh adalah terdapat penggunaan kalimat tunggal, di antaranya (1) klausa berdasarkan kelengkapan unsur intinya, di dalamnya terdapat klausa lengkap dan klausa tidak lengkap; (2) klausa berdasarkan struktur internalnya, di dalamnya terdapat klausa berstruktur runtut dan klausa berstruktur inversi; dan (3) klausa berdasarkan unsur negasi pada predikat;. Selain itu, terdapat pula penggunakan kalimat majemuk koordinatif dan kalimat majemuk subordinatif.Kata kunci:  pemerolehan sintaksis B1, anak usia 4-6 tahun,  permainan tradisional       AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the acquisition of syntax (B1) of children aged 4-6 years through traditional games. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data is a clause or sentence (B1). Sources of data obtained from children aged 4-6 years as native speakers (B1) of “Sasak” language in the village Kalidjaga, Aikmel sub-district, East-Lombok district. The data collection technique used is the listen and record technique using audio-visual equipment. Data analysis technique used was transcribing the data, translation, classification based on the type of clause or sentence, and analyzing. The results of the analysis of data obtained is a single sentence contained use, including: (1) clause based on the completeness of the point, in which there is a complete clause and the clause is not complete; (2) clause based on the internal structure, in which there is a coherent structured clause, and clause inversion structure; and (3) clause based on a predicate negation element ;. Abstract

Abstrak  Muatan Budaya dalam Produk Menulis Kreatif dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas muatan budaya dalam produk menulis kreatif dalam pemahaman bagaimana budaya lokal dapat dipromosikan melalui menulis kreatif. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur yang berpengaruh dalam proses penulisan kreatif hingga menjadi sebuah karya sastra sebagai sebuah karya utama. Metode penelitian ini berupa desain kualitatif dalam menjelaskan wacana, penelitian kepustakaan dalam mengumpulkan data, dan pendekatan kasual dalam menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yaitu bagaimana dan mengapa menulis kreatif dapat mempromosikan budaya lokal. Analisis unit meliputi faktor dalam unsur-unsur yang membangun karya sastra sebagai produk dari menulis kreatif yang dilakukan oleh penulis. Menulis adalah betuk kebebasan pribadi. Hal ini membebaskan penulis dari identitas massa yang dia lihat di sekitarnya. Pada akhirnya, ia akan menulis tidak untuk menjadi pahlawan penjahat bagi sebagian orang di suatu budaya tetapi terutama untuk menyelamatkan dirinya sendiri, untuk bertahan hidup sebagai individu. Rangkaian analisis dilakukan untuk mendapatkan penjelasan bagaimana budaya lokal dapat dipromosikan melalui menulis kreatif didasarkan pada dua subjek, yaitu penulis sebagai pencipta tulisan kreatif dan karya sastra sebagai produk dari menulis kreatif.Kata kunci: revelancy, culture, creative writing, literary work, author Abstract Culture Content in Creative Writing Product in English Learning. This study aims to discuss culture content in creative writing product as an understanding how local cultures can be promoted through creative writing. The study explores influencing elements in creative writing process up to be a literary work as a masterpiece. Methods of the study consist of qualitative design in explaining discourse, library research in collecting data, and casual approach in answering the problem statement that is how and why creative writing can promote local culture. Units of analysis cover the factors in the elements building the literary work as the product of creative writing conducted by author. Writing is a form of personal freedom. It frees the author from the mass identity he or she sees all around. In the end, he or she will write not to be outlaw hero of some under culture but mainly to save him or herself, to survive as individuals. The work is directly or indirectly related to the universe inclusive of man, material things, events and ideas. The reader somes as the final element. The series of analysis is conducted to find out the explanation how local cultures can be promoted through creative writing based on two subjects; the author as the creator of creative writing and the literary work as the product of creative writing.Keywords: revelancy, culture, creative writing, literary work, author

Abstract

Abstrak Rekontruksi Prafonem Vokal Prabahasa Melayu Riau (PMLR). Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan salah satu bagian dari proses rekontruksi fonologi pada bahasa Pra-Melayu sebagai refleksi yang ditemukan dalam isolek Melayu modern yang digunakan di Provinsi Riau dan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau, khususnya rekontruksi prafonem vokal. Analisis ini sangat penting karena tidak ada rekontruksi pra-Melayu di tingkat kekerabatan dialek dari bahasa tunggal. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam menanalisis data adalah metode analisis komparatif deskriptif yang biasanya digunakan dalam linguistik historis dan dialektologi diakronis. Dalam penelitian ini teridentifikasi enam prafonem vokal dalam bahasa Riau pra-Melayu. Selain itu, analisis perubahan fonologis dari pra-Melayu ke isolek Melayu modern menjelaskan setiap bentuk retensi dari inovasi di setiap isolek Melayu modern.Kata kunci: rekontruksi, fonim vokal, pra-Melayu, isolek Melayu modern  Abstract Vowel Prafonemes Recontruction of Prelanguage in Malay Riau. This paper is aimed at describing a part af phonological recontruction of Pre-Malay from the reflexes found in modern Malay isolects used in Riau Province and Kepulauan Riau Province, especially the recontruction of vowel prephonemes. This analysis is very crucial since there is no pre-Malay recontruction in the level of dialect kinship of a single language yet. This is a kind of qualitative research. The method used in analyzing the data is comparative-descriptive method analysis that is usually used in historical linguistics and diachronical dialectology. In the research, it is identified six vowel prephonemes in the Riau pre-Malay. Besides, the analysis of phonological changes from the pre-Malay to modern Malay isolects explaines any retention and innovation forms in each modern Malay isolect.Keywords: recontruction, vowel prephonemes, pre-Malay, modern Malay isolects

Abstract

AbstractThis study emphasizes that choice and use of an appropriate teaching material may support the students’ participation during the lecturing process. Students’ worksheet as one of printed teaching material is considered to be able to enhance students’ participation. Specifically, this study presents: (1) the forms and characteristics of students’ worksheet that may support students’ participation; (2) the increase of students’ participation in learning through the students’ worksheet implementation. This study belongs to descriptive study towards the results of controlled observation, while treatments applied during the lesson study comprise four cycle of stages with the implementation of plan, do, and see stages in each cycle. Data in this study is obtained from study document and observation during the lecture of Bahasa Indonesia Text Book Course in 2016. Results show several empirical discoveries. First, the students’ worksheet has a special format that is relevant with the substance of material as well as supported by its appropriate use. Second, statistically, the use of students’ worksheet can enhance students’ participation up to 71%, 79%, 86%, and 89% from cycle I to IV, respectively.Keywords: text book, participation, lesson study, worksheet, learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi transformasi sematan klausa relatif, (2) menjelaskan proses terjadinya transformasi sematan, dan (3) menjelaskan kaidah transformasi yang terdapat pada teks terjemahan Alquran yang mengandung etika berbahasa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat-kalimat yang terdapat pada terjemahan ayat-ayat Alquran yang mengandung transformasi sematan. Sumber datanya adalah teks terjemahan Alquran yang mengandung etika berbahasa. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode padan ekstralingual dan padan intralingual. Pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat  41  kalimat transformasi sematan klausa relatif yang terdapat pada teks terjemahan Alquran yang mengandung etika berbahasa, (2) proses transformasi sematan pada teks terjemahan Alquran yang mengandung etika berbahasa, (3) kaidah transformasi berdasarkan jenis kalimat terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu kalimat kompleks dan kalimat sederhana. Kalimat sederhana hanya terdiri atas satu proses transformasi saja dan dalam penelitian ini terdapat sepuluh. This research aims to (1) identify kinds of relative embedded clauses transformation; (2) describe the transformation process, and (3) describe the transformation principles of the Holy Quran translation that contains language ethics. The data collection techniques for the study involved documents mining, observation and recording. The data were in the form of translated sentences of the Quran that contained embedded transformation. The data source was translated text of the Quran that reflected language ethics. Data analysis of this study involved intralingual and extralingual methods. Data triangulation was also employed to cross-check the reliability of the data. The results of the analysis indicate that (1) there are forty-one sentences of relative embedded clauses transformation in the translated text of the Holy Quran that contains language ethics, (2) embedded transformation process in the translation of the Quran contains language ethics, and (3) the transformation principles based on sentence types are of two types: complex and compound sentences. A compound sentence only involved one transformation process, and there are ten such sentences revealed in the present study.

Abstract

This research aims at: 1) describing the errors of writing in bahasa Indonesia in outdoor media in Bojonegoro, 2) describing the errors in using foreign elements, and 3) determining the suitability of the results of research with teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at Junior High School. This research is qualitative descriptive with a sample of articles in outdoor media in Bojonegoro. The sampling technique used was purposive. Data collection techniques used were recording, observation, and note-taking. Data validation techniques used were triangulation and peer assessment. The data analysis technique was an interactive analysis which includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the linguistic elements of language errors in outdoor media are related to the use of punctuations, especially a period (.), writing the preposition of “di”, the use of the word “pukul” and “jam”, and abbreviations. Secondly, the type of improper use of foreign terms is dominated by the use of the English and the Javanese. Both languages are used simultaneously on any word or Indonesian phrase. Third, the result of this research can be used as teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at junior high school level, especially on the subject of spelling and foreign terms (borrowing).Keywords: language error, outdoor media, spelling, foreign terms, teaching materials

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of conversational implicatures(Grice, 1975) in print advertising. It analyses 10 advertisements taken from men and women English and Indonesian Magazines issued in 2016 and 2017. Since advertising is a form of communication between the few (advertisers or company) and the many (public), adverts are supposed to follow the Cooperative Principle and its maxims. However, advertisement designers often do not obey the maxims blatantly or flout the maxims which give rise to an implicature in order to achieve a certain communicative effect. I argue that the application of conversational implicatures in advertisements tends to provide enormous benefits for advertisers or company. The application can perform various functions which eventually make the adverts more effective and persuasive. It could make the adverts more economical or cost-effective, make the ad easy to be remembered, arouse the audience’s curiosity, attract and retain attention and make the advertisers able to avoid responsibility to defend the implied claims.Keywords: Conversational implicature, advertising, cooperative principle, flouting maxims
