Abstract

Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to determine the inventory control of raw materials by using EOQ method to prevent freezing and waste of funds. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative conducted by collecting, summarizing and interpreting data. Further processed and analyzed again to obtain the expected results. The results showed that when using the EOQ method will get the raw material procurement cost savings. Thus, there is a difference between wisdom inventory conducted by the company with the calculation according to the EOQ. By using EOQ, cost the company less than the inventory policies of the company. EOQ method is considered to be one of the appropriate methods in the procurement of raw materials companies. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness and quality of implementation of district level planning meetings in the city of Manado, and to identify factors that support the effective implementation of development planning meetings in villages has a city of Manado to do a case study in the Malalayang I Village. District Malalayang.            The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Primary data obtained through open-ended interviews and observations. Secondary data was taken from the documentation. Determination of the samples was done by using purposive sampling. The number of informants followed the principle of a snowball (snowball sampling) of 15 informants consisting of village officials in charge of organizing musrenbang Malalayang I village, as well as the community and other parties directly involved in the implementation process musrenbang. Data were analyzed descriptively using the interactive model is then presented in a narrative.             The results showed that the Regional Planning Council at the village level conducted as required in the legislation that applies specifically to meet the stage of national development planning system in accordance with Undang-undang Nomor 25 tahun 2004 about SPPN. In this case, the stages of strategic planning as well as the substance meets the specified requirements. But in the process of implementation, musrenbang still has some weaknesses in carrying out its function as an agency planner.             Implementation process in the Malalayang I Village musrenbang have not been effective, while the quality of musrenbang still needs to be improved. It is suggested that the effectiveness and quality of implementation in the Malalayang I Village Musrenbang one needs to be improved continuously in accordance with the expected needs of Manado City Government and the community by increasing skills Musrenbang Implementation Team, in the form of increased experience, creativity, and work capability. This needs to be done so that more optimal Musrenbang Organizing Team carry out regional development planning to achieve the target set. Keywords: Effectiveness, quality

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research was to find out and examine the behavior of Satpol PP members as local government officials in Manado City in carrying out duties and functions. The research method used was qualitative research by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Informants were drawn from the civil service in Satpol PP amounted to 7 persons, 2 persons of voluntary members and 1 persons of temporary members, plus the 5 persons from the community so that the overall total of 15 informants. The results showed Satpol PP in performing tasks were shown to perform less disciplined behavior, especially in terms of presence that only followed the morning and evening briefings, especially for civil service personnel. Their motivation to work just to earn salary and earnings for staff and for the volunteers member, their motivation were solel a full time civil servant. Many of the personnel who had not mastered basic tasks and functions as well as the law managed to be hired without going through the selection process so that in performing their duties in the field are performing arrogant, emotional tendencies and even accepted bribes. With their average education of high school level and less training opportunities led to the lacking of knowledge and skills for the specific field task assigned to them. Based on the results of research, it could be concluded that the behavior of personnel working  in the Manado City Civil Service Police Unit has not demonstrated consistent behavior with the provisions regarding the duties and functions and community expectations on the behavior of the police civil service as a protector  and social security guards. Attitudes and behavior that did not comply with standard of performance and expectations of society that came from competence  and personal integrity officers and the influences of the environment in which they served.  Less conducive working atmosphere, as well as monitoring and enforcement of discriminatory discipline was less consistent and not sustainable, influenced attitudes and behavior of personnel in the work. In order to establish a good behavior, the knowledge, attitude and discipline have an important role in shaping the behavior of personnel in the agency. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine and assess the behavior of society in the prevention of rabies in the village District Kalasey Pineleng. The research method used was qualitative research by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Informants of 20 people selected by the owner (12 people who have pet dogs), 3 person ever bitten by dogs and 5 people who do not have a dog. The results showed that the public knew about rabies and disease characteristics and clinical symptoms, and they knew that rabies was dangerous disease. The ways of prevention of rabies disease was known by the informants only on conventional, such as feeding up, full, taking good care of, tied, bathed, and so forth. Medically the most they knew about the vaccine, and extension of the rabies vaccination was very rarely implemented, so they just waited for the officer to come. There were dog owners who deliberately did want to be vaccinated the dog their assumption that the dogs became weak and not grumpy anymore. Based on this research it could be concluded that the behavior of society in the prevention of rabies in the village District Kalasey Pineleng relatively well, especially in terms of knowledge about ways to prevent and control of this disease. Although the extension of the rabies disease and mass vaccination, it is rarely carried out but the knowledge of high society people behave so well. To reduce the incidence of rabies, effective ways to avoid dog bites and personal approach to implementing the program to the community. Government carries out mass vaccinations, routine and periodic free of charge so that people do not consider that it is a burden on dog owners. Key Words:  public behavior, rabies disease

Abstract

Abstract: The efforts to improve the performance of employee must still receive the most attention from the leadership in carrying out activities in accordance duties and functions effectively and efficiently in order to achieve service excellence. The low performance of employees for this to be one important factor driving the crisis of public confidence in government. Without ignoring the importance of other factors, competence factors of work, supervision and leadership are considered to have a significant effect on the level of employee performance. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of job competence, supervision and leadership to employee performance. The research was conducted in the city of Manado on the general and equipment division of the regional secretariat Manado city that lasted for 3 months with the study sample numbered 52 people. The method used is survey method with quantitative approach. Techniques of data analysis used a statistical analysis by using multiple regression test. Methods of data collection by observation, interviews and questionnaires. Results of analysis of the data showed a variable coefficient of 0.203 means that job competence when working up a unit of competency, assuming other variables remain the performance of employees has increased by 0.203; supervision variable coefficient of 0.283 means if supervision up a surveillance unit, assuming other variables remain the performance of employees have increase of 0.283, whereas the leadeship variable coefficient of 0.395 means if the leadership up one unit, assuming other variables remain the performance of employees increased by 0.395. The third test of independent variables through multiple regression analysis with the F test indicates that jointly job competency factors, supervision and leadership had different affect on the the performance of employees. Based on the results of the study, this suggests that the increased work competence is supported by supervision and leadership so that the performance becomes better.Keywords : job competence, supervision, leadership, performance

Abstract

Abstract: The research objective was to identify and describe the leadership style and employee motivation to work at the Main Branch of BNI Manado. The research method used was qualitative research by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Informant were obtained based on the consideration of researchers, those who provided an objective and accurate information in accordance with research problems. Informants were drawn from a bank employee BNI Main Branch Manado with the total of 11 consisting of five informants in the frontliner, three from the marketing and three  from the back office. The results showed leadership style inclined toward participatory because accommodate suggestions, proposals and opinions from subordinates by using strict rules and discipline to influence subordinates, employees were required to implement the provisions of service standards for frontliner upon request or demand of management. Most of frontliners were required to meet the demands of the service standards without bargaining for the progress of BNI. Leaders received suggestions and proposals put forward subordinates because subordinates were at the forefront in receiving comments from customers. Motivation of employees currently working was like to achieve the best career, get high salaries, inadequate facilities and getting adequate pensions. It can be suggested that in improving the performance of banks in accordance with the goals, vision and mission of BNI be a participative leadership style tailored to let maintained even listening to what customers want as a customer. Leaders have to noting employees who experienced demotivation caused by too saturated with the situation and working conditions by providing a variety of tasks, and create a conducive atmosphere in the workplace. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the  research was to find out and examine how the response of low-income communities in the land tiling program in th village East Kombos, Manado. The research method used was qualitative through interviews, observation and documentation. Informants totaled 24 people consisting of 17 heads of households who have received tthe program, village leader, a man of the district, one person from Manado City land office and four  from North Sulawesi Provincial BPN Regional office. The result showed that response of land certification program for low income people was good enough because in terms of requirement to reach the communiy with the help of a certificate from the village office. In terms of time did not require to wait too long at a cost that was relaively affordable and straightforward procedure. The impact of this program,after obataining a certificate of land they  have, their access to funders such as banks were very easily obtained and the funds received were  used as their capital. It Could be concluded that the public response was quite good. The community were enthusiastically received in the execution of the program, because in terms of requirements it could be reached, in terms of time not too long with a relatively affordable cost and the procedure was not straightforward. Abstract

Abstract: Educational success of students in school can be seen from the academic achievement in school. Pencermin of learning achievement is the student learning efforts. Educational success is a shared responsibility between the family (parents), community members and government. The family is the first social institution which is recognized by the child and family can be implanted in the attitudes that may affect subsequent child development. The purpose of this study is to examine and reveal Christian junior high student achievement Tabitha Manado in terms of family socioeconomic status. Research methodology was qualitative methods. Data were obtained through interviews and observation techniques. Determined sample of 20 informants consisting of homeroom teachers, students and representatives of parents. Data were analyzed descriptively through the stages of organizing the data, grouping by categories, themes and patterns of response, testing assumptions or existing problems of the data, looking for an alternative explanation for the data and writing the results of the study. From this study it can be concluded that good learning achievements gained Manado Tabitha Christian junior high school students due to socio-economic conditions for a good family. It is recommended that parents can provide a motivation for intensive and continuous learning children. Due to the presence of a motivation that intensive and continuous expected will automatically expand and improve children's learning achievement. For the parents of low education levels are expected to increase their insight and knowledge in a way often follow good scientific activities in the surrounding environment or to other places. As for other ways to add insight and knowledge by reading books often concerned with education, newspapers, magazines, and so on in order to help guide and encourage and direct their children in order to obtain good learning performance.Keywords : Student Achievement, Family Socioeconomic Status.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the performance of employee at the South Wenang Sub-District in Wenang District Manado City. The methodology used in this study was a qualitative research. Data were collected through direct interview and field observations. Informants obtained by the criterion that they can provide the information required in this study, namely the South Wenang Village office staff totaling five people, consisting of 4 persons who occupy positions of structural, nonstructural 1 employees (staff employees) and 6 members of the public , composed of community leaders, religious leaders, and members of the general public. The results showed that how the employee is optimal according to SOP. This could be seen from the work that was done independently according to the main duty and function of the employee. The use of working hour of the employee was optimal. This could be seen from the final job performance in accordance to the specified working hours. The work behavior of the South Wenang Sub-District employee was optimal. It signified by the motivation and discipline of the employee in carring out their duty. The target achievement of the employee was optimal. It was  signify by the realization of the defined task objectives. The officials’ performance (the leader and staff) have showed a good result in accordance with the main job and function. This achievement be maintained and improved with a better re-establishment of formal study or technical training, also with the supported environment apparatus and working spirit. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study to assess the extent to which the Head Office Airmadidi service in North Minahasa regency. Based on these problems then the purpose of this study is to assess the public service to the community members at Head Office Airmadidi North Minahasa regency with emphasis on the factors of employee motivation, employee labor discipline and employee participation in training. Research methodology was qualitative research methodology to establish whether the status of employee informants structural and staff employees, religious leaders, students and community. In data collection is done using the primary data that more priority to interview people in depth interviews and the results are presented in the summary of the interview guide. The results showed that the public service performed by the apparatus is effective Airmadidi Head Office so that the community as the applicant's experience in service. Within a few things to note there is a commitment among employees and a strong determination to achieve and improve service quality. However not all services can be achieved because there are constraints and obstacles faced by employees in the Office of Head Airmadidi. However, the existence of favorable conditions of work environment can be minimized, then the constraints and obstacles that dihadinya it. From this study it can be concluded that the public service in the Office of Head Airmadidi has gone well according to the List of Assessment Implementation of Civil Works (DP3) is one of the points include job performance and employee responsibilities are the overall value of all employees and each employee is well worth have a workbook to see the results of the performance achievements of what he was doing. Advice authors to further improve public services effectively and efficiently Airmadidi District Government should create and enforce Standard Operating Services to further improve the quality of public services better.Keywords: Public Services, Standard Operating Services.
