Abstract

Abstracts: The problem and objectives of this research are how the condition of power that used by the principal on the Public Senior High Schools in the Regent of North Minahasa, and to explain the influence of the factors of power by the principal to the teacher’s performance. This research was conducted in North Minahasa on six Public Senior High Schools with 69 respondents sample. It used stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected by using questionnaire technique in the form of statement/questions measured by Likert scale. The analysis method used here is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research indicated that: (1) the exertion of power by the principal to increase the teacher’s performance is more of legitimate power. (2) besed on determinant coefycient value, that symoltantly usage of legitimate power, reward power, coercive power, expert power, and referent power have influence to teacher’s performance. Therefore, it is suggested that the further research could try to obtain other variables which are possibly better in establishing an increasing model of the teacher’s performance.  Keywords: factors of power, and performance

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the behavior of drivers of public transportation-related factors of awareness, motivation, work environment, morale, and revenue driver. This study used a qualitative approach in which the data obtained through in-depth interviews to the 13 informants. The results showed compliance with regulations and traffic signs is a must. Motivation to work as a driver, passenger transport to meet the needs of city life and the welfare of his family. Fulfillment welfare of his family is very closely linked to the work environment. The working environment is often nice to have a lot of passengers, but it is not fun when the riders who ride vehicle.  Morale is very dependent on the driver's working conditions so that the driver fell morale up. Revenue is generally the driver on the current traffic situation is not so encouraging because it caused the flow of public transportation and private vehicles are solid. Thus, the behavior of the driver determine the effectiveness and success of the smooth flow of transportation policy in the city of Manado. Therefore, need guidance through counseling conducted by police agencies and to increase knowledge of transportation traffic from the driver in the city of Manado.Key words: Behavior, Awareness, Motivation

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to assess the competence of regulatory authorities in improving performance in North Sulawesi Province Inspectorate. In this research, using qualitative methods. Data collected through interviews, observation and documentation of the 20 informants, 9 employees who have the education and supervision of 11 technical employees who have not been following the technical education supervision. Data were analyzed as categorical and diinterprestasi narrative. The results show the ability of supervisors have different technical performance, where that has followed the technical education quality supervision over the performance of the examination and have self- confidence, mastering the rules of supervision, able to work with other employees and enjoys a supervisory job responsibilities. Any employees who perform duties in the working units need continuous supervision of technical training, and for employees who have not followed the supervision of technical education may be given the opportunity to attend technical education supervision conducted by the local government and central government.Key words: Control, Competence, Performance

Abstract

Abstract: The widely opening of the democratic system in Indonesia provides a good opportunity for the development of the nation's politics. One of the indicators is the running of a democratic political system and measuring the level of public participation is the involvement of citizen participating in elections. The purpose of this study was to determine the political participation of women in the District of Gorontalo and the obstacles faced by women politicians in Gorontalo District at the period of 2009-2014. The methodology used was a descriptive qualitative analysis. Primary data were collected through structured interviews and observation. The secondary data obtained from research reports, journals, and the data available in each political party, the KPU, and the institution associated with the election. The sample consisted of 10 informants of women politicians, election commission, NGOs, head women's empowerment, academicians, and leaders of the party. The result showed that women's political participation is still low in Gorontalo District. It is suggested women politicians should enhance their capacity building, networking with women's organizations and NGOs as well as the need for the party's commitment to give priority to women.Keyword: Women’s Political Participation

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study to describe and analyze the implementation of regional autonomy, what factors are a barrier to implementation and strategies that need to be done to address them in South Minahasa regency. In this research, using qualitative methods, in which the primary data obtained through intensive observation and in-depth interviews to 15 informants. In addition, enriched with secondary data from documents, publications and other written references relevant to the implementation of regional autonomy. The results showed that basically the inherent authority to officials of local civil builder to manage resource issues in a very large apparatus ranging from the appointment process to denganpensiun. Staffing is not in accordance with the competence and expertise, but only based on the proximity to the decision-making authorities. Employee discipline and feel politicization employees is a major obstacle that inhibits autonomy. The strategy needs to be applied is the placement of officers in accordance with their competence and expertise, reinforce employee career paths, education and training of technical, functional and classes, and foster a culture of discipline. In addition, local governments need to improve the welfare of employees in order to have an impact on the quality of work and performance of government officials.Key words: Implementation of Regional Autonomy, Governance Strategy of Human Resources

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the service tax based on the variables Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Emphaty, Tangible to the satisfaction of individual taxpayers in the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Manado.  The methodology used is quantitative research methods, and data was collected through questionnaires and documentation.  Samples of random sampling on 100 respondents.  Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis using computer assistance with SPSS program version 16.  The results showed that the reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, tangible have a significance value under 0.05,  so it can be said that the five variables have an influence significantly to the satisfaction of individual taxpayers, with a positive regression coefficient indicates the direction which means that all variables have a significant positive influence on the satisfaction of individual taxpayers.  It is suggested that an increase in the quality of service for employees in the form of accuracy and speed of service, control of information, provision of security guarantees, a friendliness and courtesy, as well as having a clean and attractive appearance, thus the expected satisfaction of taxpayers will get satisfaction.Key Words: Service of Quality, Satisfaction

Abstract

Abstrak. This research aims to identify the conditions and problems confronting the new entrepreneurs in managing the business.  This research uses descriptive analysis with the total sample as much of the 265 respondents. Data collected by use questioner and interview technique base on criteria that have been determined.  The research found that the business of trading as the main type of business, the mayority of high school educated respondents, initial capital came from businessmen themselves, generally they have not followed entrepreneurial training. This new entrepreneurial expects the government provides access to capital and training to support their efforts.  This research has limited because only identify new entrepreneurial activity and knowing perception them about government role of entrepreneurs beginners.  This research early to tell further research and information for strategic decision makers in the micro and small enterprises. Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using the Balanced Scorecard performance and analyze the balance performance at the Regional Office of Directorate General of State XVI Manado. This study uses a quantitative approach to data analysis frequency range of criteria. Respondents consisted of internal respondents that all employees of the Regional Office of Directorate General of State XVI Manado and external respondents that the partners. The results showed that the performance of the Regional Office of Directorate General of State XVI Manado is good or effective but not balanced. Imbalance occurred in the performance of the external performance is higher than the internal performance, higher financial performance than non-financial performance, the performance of which focuses on factors yield higher performance than triggers and performance that focuses on the more dominant performance than focusing on people. Performance measurement is expected to assist the Regional Office of Directorate General of State XVI Manado in formulating a strategy to improve performance in the future.

Abstract

Abstract. This study intends to determine the front office employee service performance for customers of PT Bank of North Sulawesi. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with the informant about 20 people consisting of 5 employees and 15 customers. The results indicate an employee at the customer service has to understand the situation and conditions of employment, has been trying to do a good job in accordance with standard operating prosudur. Nevertheless, there are still customers who do not feel satisfied with the quality of service they provide. In general, front office service employees are quite good, but the quality of service needs to be improved so that customer satisfaction can be maintained and even improved. Key words: Employee Performance, Services, Customer, Front Office

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to assess the performance of a driver's license services at the Office of the City Police Force Traffic Resort Manado (Manado Police Satlantas). The focus of research regarding police professionalism, work ethic and leadership. The research method used is qualitative, so it does not use statistical data analysis. Data collection was obtained through in-depth interviews of informants to 15 people consisting of 10 applicants driving license and 5 police officers in the service of a driver's license. The results showed that the performance of the service has been excellent driving license that the applicant satisfied. This is because of the behavior of a professional working of police officers and supported the spirit of the work or the work ethic of the maximum. In addition, the lack of leadership that is conducive to making police officers performing services effective driving license. However, there are still complaints of the applicant's driver's license on time and queue length as the number of police on duty are lacking. Need additional officers, when recess was a replacement officer to prevent the happening of a long queue. Also need to limit the number of driver's license applicants every day, as well as more advanced for the time of registration of the applicant does not have to wait too long to get a driver's license.Key words: Professionalism, Behavior, Leadership
