Jurnal Manajemen Agribisnis (JMA) merupakan jurnal ilmiah, memiliki konsentrasi fokus pada Pengelolaan Pertanian Agribisnis dan Kawasan Pertanian yang Berkelanjutan serta mengacu pada terminologi “Sustainable Development Goals.” Sustainable Development Goals sangat dibutuhkan dalam manajemen agribisnis sebagai sarana untuk membentuk perencanaan agribisnis yang terstruktur dan terorganisasi dengan baik. Melalui konsentrasi fokus tersebut, dapat dipahami bahwa perencanaan sangat vital dalam bisnis pertanian mengingat sifatnya yang penuh ketidakpastian dan rentan risiko kerugian, sehingga memerlukan analisis dan sintesis ilmu multidisiplin untuk menjelaskan fakta empiris dimensi sosial, ekonomi, manajemen, dan kelembagaan dalam suatu perusahaan atau kawasan pertanian.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom cultivation is one of the right businesses to be developed in Denpasar. It is based on high market demand and terraced cultivation usage system which is able to save the land. The success of oyster mushroom business is influenced by many factors such as entrepreneurial spirit ability and agribusiness management. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial spirit and agribusiness management to oyster mushrooms business success in Denpasar. This study was conducted to oyster mushroom farmers who have at least 1000 baglog (growth media) with minimum 1 year cultivation period. The number of samples was determined by 36 respondents of mushroom farmers who were scattered in Denpasar.  The data analysis techniques which were used were SPSS and Smart PLS program. The result of the relation between variable which used PLS in the structural path coefficient showed that there was a positive and very significant relationship with more than 2,72 t-statistic value. There was a positive and very significant relationship with 5,990 t-statistic value of entrepreneurial spirit variable to oyster mushrooms business relationship. Agribusiness management to oyster mushrooms business success had a positive and very significant relationship with 6,670 t-statistic value. Entrepreneurial spirit variable to agribusiness management had a positive and very significant relationship with 49,555 t-statistic value. Goodness of fit evaluation showed that Q2 value was 0,969 which had a meaning that 96,95% information which was in the data could be explained by model and 3,1% remaining was explained by another model. The most influenced indicator in entrepreneurial spirit variable was creative character with 0,927 outer loading value. The most influenced indicator in agribusiness management variable was agribusiness development with 0,874 outer loading value. The most influenced indicator in oyster mushrooms business variable was oyster mushroom farming income improvement with 0,866 outer loading value. This study suggests farmers to improve their entrepreneurial spirit and manage the oyster mushroom business better than before to get a maximum result. Creative character in developing this business becomes the strong main asset to compete with another oyster mushroom which comes from outside Denpasar. The government should give the policy which is related to oyster business assistance and make a plenty promotion of this healthy food therefore it can be more known by people.

Abstract

One alternative destination agrotourism in Bali is Agrowisata Pesuteraan alam Sutera Sari Segara located in the village Sibangkaja, District Abiansemal. The agrotourism is a potential to be developed in the world of tourismin Bali. Market segmentation is still dominated by 99 percent students are very massive factor in the development of the market in Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of the work done by agrotourism, internal and external factors that influence the development of agrotourism, and alternative development strategies and priorities in agrotourism. Respondents in this study were dividedin to two, namely the respondent's internal and external respondents. Internal respondents were employees of agrotourism taken by census and external respondents that visitors and government who have a relationship with agrotourism. The results of research to get 5 alternative strategies witheach priorityi san alternative way of running the promotion of agrotourism by way of advertising and media selection through brochures, synergy between agrotourism and stakeholders by way of synergy between agrotourism with the private sector, the expansion of market segments using market segmentation way, improving the quality of HR by way of provision of qualified work force, and the quality of agrotourism attractions and silk fabric by settin gquality standards. Suggestions that cangive authors in this study is the use of alternative strategies and priorities that are used to further develop agrotourism. Alternative promotion of agrotourism means of advertising that holds the highest value can be used to developth is agrobusiness. Selection of media for advertising such as brochures media is the most efficient and effective way to convey information to tourists or potential tourists.

Abstract

The Ministry of Agriculture targeted the farmers' per capita income of IDR 7.93 million/year in 2014. This target has not been achieved because farm productivity still low. A beef cattle business was developed by Yayasan Mitra Tani Mandiri (YMTM) through a partnership with livestock farmers, however it hasn’t been known effectiveness level of the partnership. The study was to determine the effectiveness level of beef cattle business partnerships; the influence of the characteristics of livestock farmers, the mentoring from YMTM and the seven techniques of beef cattle business on the effectiveness of the partnership; and the influence of the effectiveness of the partnerships on the livestock farmers’ income. Population of the study were farmers who received cattle from YMTM. Sampling was conducted through proportional stratified, covering 156 livestock farmers. The data were analyzed by method quantitative descriptive and relationship analysis with SmartPLS. The beef cattle business partnership between YMTM and the livestock farmers in TTU can be classified into the sufficient category of effective. All the exogenous factors, namely the characteristics of livestock farmers, mentoring YMTM and the seven techniques of beef cattle business have a significant effect on the effectiveness of the partnership. The average of the weight gain of cattle is 262 gram/catlle/day, which is tended in 2.1 years period. Likewise, the income of livestock farmers is influenced significantly by the effectiveness of the partnership. Revenue from the beef cattle business partnerships contribute on average 29.91 % (IDR 3,574,002) to the livestock farmers’ total income (IDR 11,949,342). Suggestions which can be made to improve the partnership including increasing the weight gain of cattle per day, select calves from good stock lines, increasing the frequency of trainings which deal with the techniques and management of the  cattle business, processing livestock manure, and processing the remains of crops into nutritious fodder.

Abstract

Land is the source of life for all creatures.  However, now the existence of the land begins shifting.  Land conversion activities are increasingly rife.  Subak, as farmer organizations for wetlands, is becoming more helpless. Economic factors that drive land use change from activities of rice farming is the low income, land owners working in other sectors, the selling price of land in Subak Kerdung, and the presence of non-agricultural business activities in this subak area.  Social factor that push for land conversion activities are adat and religious activities which require large funding sources and the desire to follow the behavior of the surrounding environment.  Institutional factors that push for land conversion activities are also concerned with institutional weaknesses of the subak itself and weak implementation of the governance of urban space.  Combating land conversion that occurs in the subak areas is not much that can be done by administrators of subak that only allow landowners to sell rice fields when destined for agricultural activities and seek smoothness for existing farming activities in the subak areas.

Abstract

The achievement of self-sufficiency in rice in Bali province has a fairly severe constraints, because the conversion of wetland difficult to overcome. Therefore, control of land conversion through assign Sustainable Agricultural Land needs to be accompanied by efforts to strengthen agricultural institutions. This study was conducted to analyze: the potential of agricultural institutions in the protection of agricultural land sustainability, the role of agricultural institutions in the protection of agricultural land for food, agricultural potential in the provision of food for the population in the province of Bali, and in the second year of designing models of institutional strengthening agriculture safeguard sustainable food agricultural land in the province of Bali. To achieve these objectives, the research was conducted with survey design combined with the correlational approach (correlational research). Location research and respondents using purposive, while data analysis using the approach of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using the soft ware SmartPLS M3 version 2.0., Followed by descriptive method. The results showed that: the potential of agricultural institutions in the protection of agricultural land is quite worth 66.72; the role of agricultural institutions in the protection of agricultural land classified as less instrumental with a value of 51.80; and projections of potential agricultural land in its main food supply rice seemed declining namely 90% (in 2015), 85% (in 2020) and 82% (in 2025).

Abstract

Bali tourism development together with consumer awareness on health is an opportunity for organic products producers. In order to take this opportunity, Subak Wongayabetan needs a strategy to develop agribusiness development of organic brown rice. The objective of this research is to investigate alternative strategies and priorities to the strategies run by the Subak Wongayabetan in managing organic brown rice agribusiness development. Respondents in this research were selected purposively regarding their expertise and knowledge of the research. Primary data were collected by conducting focus group discussions, surveys, and in-depth interviews. Secondary data were collected from publications. Formulation of alternative and priority strategies was using SWOT analysis and QSPM. The results show that alternative strategies of agribusiness development for organic brown rice include: 1) increasing productivity of organic brown rice, 2) improving the skills of processing organic fertilizers and pesticides, 3) developing subak as agrotourism, 4) cooperate with Village Unit Enterprises , 5) expansion of wetland organic field, 6) training of farming book-keeping , 7) intensifying the use of packaging and branding, 8) labor recruitment from outside the region, 9) intensifying integrated pest and disease , 10) socialization of organic products to consumers, 11) intensification of Internal Control System (ICS), and 12) database improvement and Management Information System to support the sustainability of organic certification. The most priority strategy in this research shows that ICS intensification is selected.. In supporting the development of agribusiness organic brown rice, members of Subak Wongayabetan are suggested to do book-keeping of their farming costs and returns, more intensive socialization to the benefits of organic farming, and creating more innovative actions through packaging and branding use to increase the products value.

Abstract

Main points of the purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the help facilities capture fisheries to increase the income of fishermen in Gianyar Regency. Research location is determined purposive sampling in the  Lebih village. To determine the impact of providing assistance to the income of fishermen fishing tools used production function Cobb-Douglas model. The results found, assisting in the capture fishery means to increase the income of fishermen of 2.6287% did not differ significantly. Abstract

A cooperative or an economic enterprise is a coordinating institution of the economic democracy development with the aim to gather the development potention in order to be able to increase the standard and the prosperity of the society. A cooperative needs to follow any strategic steps to continue competing and keep up the exsistance by increasing the quality of human resource and service with the result that the members can feel themselves valuable, satisfied, concerned, or have a good and respectable attention. A care service is a strategy in winning the competition. One other way to raise customer satisfaction is by increasing the quality of service. The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of service and the level satisfaction of members of the Suraberata village unit of cooperative in West Selemadeg Subdistrict. The method of this research is deskriptif kualitatif method. The sample on the population was conducted by using Slovin Formula. It was taken  in proportional random sampling which concerned on 96 respondents which are the members of the cooperative from the 12 vilages in West Selemadeg Subdisctrict. The techniques of analyzing data were Servqual Quality Analysis and Importance Performance Satisfaction Analysis.   The result of Servqual quality analysis showed the average numbers of the the quality of service expected by the members was 4, 27, meanwhile the average numbers of the fact of service accepted was 3, 29. There was a gap occurred cohesively from the five indicators of the accepted quality of service with the expected quality of service for 0, 35. The result of Importance – Performance showed that the indicator level categories “Very Satisfied” is the physical evidence indicator. The Indicators with category level “Quite Satisfied”are reliability indicator and assurance indicator. The indicator for level “Unsatisfied” was the response indicator and emphatic indicator. From the result of this study can be concluded that Suraberata Village unit was not able to give the first-rate quality of sercive to the members of the cooperative. The cooperatvive was able to give the “very satisfied” level of satisfaction on the service of physical facility performance, “quite satisfied”level for knowledge, attitude, and dependable action in giving service, and “unsatisfied” level in personal caring, understand the demands of the members, the willing to assist the members, giving quick and perceptive service. The suggestion of this study is to increase the quality of service from Suraberata village unit of cooperative to raise the satisfaction of the members.

Abstract

Sibetan Village is one of Agrotourism place that could not give the significant result from its source. It makes a lag between the development of tourism object and its captivation from the farmers’ living. From this fact, a strategy is needed to develop agrotourism in Sibetan. The aim of this research is to know people’s perception about the development of agrotourism, the analysis of internal and eksternal environment, to create an alternative strategy and also the priority of how developing Salak Agrotourism. Data analysis in this research is using matrix internal-external (IE) analysis, matrix grand strategy, SWOT and followed by QSPM analysis to determine the strategy priority.  The result of this reasearch is (1) People’s perception in Sibetan about the development of agrotourism gets 86,86 %; (2) Identification of internal-external factor, accesibility of agrotourism, great panorama view, safety, another attraction from salak agrotourism as tourist’s destination, local government policy, organisation, the intention of world population of doing tourism with the development of technology; (3) alternatives strategy that is created based on SWOT is to increase people’s role in managing agrotourism, to cultivate its natural resource to optimize the excellence agrotourism, to maintain the quality of the products, to increase the promotion with technology, to develop a good relationship between government and companies, and also to increase the quality of human resource by held a training to develop a good skill in service; (4) the right strategy based on QSPM is to gain its own natural resource in increasing the excellence of agrotourism and also to keep the quality of the products.  Suggestion from this research is in order to make the local government of Karangasem regency Salak Agrotourism in Sibetan as the main priority to develop the tourism and gives support in the development of salak agrotourism activity. Besides, it needs a good cooperation between government and private or public companies in developing salak agrotourism.

Abstract

The success of the aquaculture farming group in the development of rural aquaculture is highly determined by the cooperation and the commitment of the entire farming group, technical team, and extension institutions, particularly government employee and contract fishery assisting extension workers. The present study aimed to analyze the effects of extension workers’ performance and direct community assistance on the success of the Rural Aquaculture Development Program (Pengembangan Usaha Mina Perdesaan Perikanan Budidaya – PUMP-PB) in the East Sumba Regency. Data was analyzed using a descriptive qualitative and partial least square (PLS) method. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, a census sampling method was employed to select a total of 102 respondents from 17 groups, from which 6 persons were selected (3 persons in management and 3 persons as members).  Results show that: 1) extension workers’ performance have a highly significant influence on the success of the Rural Aquaculture Development Program in the East Sumba Regency, with facilitating the strengthening of Pokdakan agencies as a dominant extension workers performance indicator; 2) the direct community assistance from the Rural Venture Development of Aquaculture have a significant impact on the success of Rural Aquaculture Development Program in the East Sumba Regency, with distribution of direct community assistance as a dominant extension workers performance indicator; 3) collectively, both the extension workers’ performance and the direct community assistance of PUMP-PB variables appears to have a significant influence on the success of the PUMP-PB program, with a coefficient of determination (R2) value of 27.90%.  The study suggests that it is imperative to increase the performance of extension workers in rural aquaculture development program in the East Sumba Regency, as it has been proven to have a positive impact on the success of the program. It is also necessary to extend the provision of direct community assistance, which has played a significant role in the success of the rural aquaculture development program. Further research is needed to determine other factors that may influence the success of the rural aquaculture development program in the East Sumba Regency.
