Abstract

MSME is the primary driver of the Indonesian economic sector, which, unfortunately, remains struggling in controlling and adopting technology, including Blockchain technology. Blockchain is an effective technology that includes all business activities processes and improves the performance and security of company data. This study explored behavioral intervention in adopting the Blockchain technology in MSME Phil’s Auto, Kinandara Boutique, Sabana Restaurant, and Narassi Coffee. The analysis performed in this study was qualitative data analysis on interview results with the MSMEs’ owners. The study results show that the four MSMEs are interested and willing to implement Blockchain technology. Blockchain is expected to help the company improve business activity effectiveness and company data security. Future studies are expected to provide solutions to MSME problems in adopting Blockchain technology.

Abstract

Waste management has been a concern for the government because it is closely related to sustainable development. Wreckage collectors play a significant role in waste reduction and management. Therefore, the sustainability of the wreckage collector business, which is measured through profit performance, is interesting to investigate. This study aims to analyze the effect of education level, firm age, type of product, and capital on the profit of wreckage collectors in Cirebon city. The population consist of 40 wreckage collectors, all were selected as respondents. The data were analyzed with multiple linear regression using the OLS method. The results show that education, firm age, and capital have a positive and significant effect on the profit of wreckage collectors, while type of product has no significant effect. The results imply the need to improve education for wreckage collectors. In addition, financial institutions should facilitate low-interest loans to improve turnover and profit.

Abstract

The consumer purchasing decision is one of the essential aspects for companies to assess the success of their products. Lifestyle and self-esteem can cause consumer purchasing decisions. This study aimed to find the dependencies between lifestyle and self-esteem with the decision to purchase gadgets by Generation Z. The type of research was quantitative research with a judgmental sampling technique. The samples were 100 respondents who had purchased a gadget at least once. This study used questionnaires to collect data and processed the chi-square test by SPSS 2.5. The results showed that lifestyle and self-esteem had a positive dependency relationship on consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

In Indonesia, SMEs business owners are always trying to find the best employee management practices that suit their business scale, so finding a comprehensive employee management model for SMEs is important. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews with 38 managers who were directly involved in HRM in SMEs. The analytical method used is content and thematic analysis. The results of this study offer new insights for SME owners regarding HRM practices that can be applied to systematically manage their human resources to increase their competitiveness. The novelties of this research are (a) This research was conducted for more comprehensive employee management functions where most of the previous studies were based on certain functions only; (b) a special SME HR model that can be used as a standard for SMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of digital business is currently driving the rapid growth of the startup business. Startups are required to develop their capabilities through human resources, which are important human capital for the business they run. This research was conducted on a sample of startups located in the city of Bandung. The research was conducted for four months with the aim of determining the factors that affect human capital in a startup business and how the influence of human capital on company performance. The research method used is descriptive and quantitative methods with SEM PLS data analysis tools. The results of the study show that the role of human capital is quite large in startup performance. The results of the study also show the influence of all the factors studied, especially HR management and the role of the government as the factors that contribute the most to human capital.

Abstract

The short-term and long-term effects of ROI, EPS, PER Inflation, SBI, Exchange Rate, and GDP on the stock price are the focus of this study. The study's data came from company financial statements, including the Indonesian Stock Exchange Index LQ45. The stationarity test, the classical assumptions test, the cointegration test, and the error correction model test was utilized in this study's statistical analysis. KURS and SBI had a positive effect on stock prices in the short term, but there is no effect in the long term, and inflation and GDP do not affect the stock price both in the short term and in the long term, according to this study. As a result, investors and businesses can use this study's contribution as a point of reference when considering factors that have a short-term and long-term impact on stock prices.

Abstract

Multiple disruptions in health sectors and geopolitics has been alarming food security worldwide. This study provides insights by assessing the determinants of food security in Indonesia and creating a map of the country's most food insecure areas as a basis of developing anticipating strategies. This study is quantitative in nature using secondary data from the Statistics Indonesia. To estimate the model, we used Non-Parametric Splines Regression and Clustering Analysis. The results show that food security in Indonesia is greatly impacted by rice production, population density, purchasing power index, food expenditures, and harvested area. Additionally, most of the provinces in Indonesia has a medium to high food security level. The results showed the need for integrating Indonesian food chain policies such as land, water, and fertilizer availability. In addition, the Indonesian Bureau of Logistics must take measures to preserve the availability and distribution of staple foods.
