Abstract

Utilization of rice husk as a fuel substitute alternativ kerosene using rice husk stove is a technology based on local wisdom to anticipate the threats of energy crisis, as one of the replacement of fuel oil. Comparative analysis of rice husk stove with kerosene stove will produce a comparison of how the conclusions, ability and energy efficiency in cooking. From the analysis of the efficiency of kerosene stove showed a better value than a stove fueled by rice husks. However, the ability of rice husk energy as an alternative fuel in a fuel oil substitute very effectively developed for household, small and medium industries, especially in rural areas, it is based on the price of rice husk is much cheaper than kerosene.

Abstract

Pneumatic is a fluid power system, that the energy source from the air pressure in compressor machine, where the air store in the tank.The air pressure to activate the pneumatic system is about 1 – 10 bar. Generally the pressure to made power is about 6 – 8 bar, and to make bigger power about 8 – 10 bar. The force in pneumatic system is determine in this machin. It is depent on wide of actuator linear. Wider the actuator it is bigger energy produced and have a better work will bw done. Force that produced by actuator fold with the piston step and devide by the time it is the power that need to harvest the palm. To make this machine work it is need control valve, it valve to control direction, the flow control valve and pressure control valve

Abstract

Solidification of molten metal in squeeze casting was done under high pressure condition, it’s will produces small grains. Grains size, thickness and density depend on silicon content, molding and pouring temperature of squeeze cast parameters. The aim of this research is to analize silicon content, melt and mold temperature on thickness and density of to get a high caracteristicfhisicof thin wall squeeze castof Al-SiHydraulic pressure of 135 MPa is applied to forge molten metal of aluminum-silicon alloys. Mold temperature from 220 to 3300C, pouring temperature from 665 to 8850C and silicon content from 0,45 to 6,04% weight were considered. Thickness and density were used to indicate the caracteristic fhisic of thin wall squeeze castof Al-Si. Vernier caliper was used toruleofdimension of thin wall.The increasing of silicon content decreases thickness andincreases density of thin wall. The increasing of pouring and mold temperature increases density and decreases thickness of thin wall. Combination of the higher silicon content, melt and mold temperature produced a lowest thickness, high density and flawless thin wall squeeze cast of hot crack

Abstract

Improving the quality of palm tree trunk has been made to decreasing of fungi intensity. The research objective was to prevent the fungi at various concentrations of antioxidant substances. Antioxidant material used in the form Sodium Hipokrolit, Chlorine and Copper Sulfate each with a variation of solution concentration 5%, 10% and 15% of the weight ratio of water, soaking conducted for 24 hours, fungal growth on observations made during a week of palm wood. Results showed that soaking the material with all concentrations of Sodium Hipokrolit given still not able to prevent mildew, even should the increasing growth of fungi. Soaking with a material optimal chlorine concentration achieved at 15%. Soaking with Copper Sulfate materials can prevent of fungi at 5% concentration.

Abstract

Clay soil is a soil type which has a low bearing capacity so that it will face problems if the clay is receiving considerable expense. One alternative to improve the bearing capacity of clay soil is to provide a ditusukan cerucuk into it. This study aimed to discover how much influence cerucuk use of soft clay soil strength.The method used is by the addition of wood with a diameter pole cerucuk ± 8 cm in the soft clay which then will be tested with a shear tester (Vane Shear Test) with the length and spacing cerucuk cerucuk varied.The results after cerucuk anchored into the clay soil showed an increase in shear strength of clay soil, compared with a shear strength values without cerucuk. For 60 cm long with a space cerucuk 2D, 3D, 5D, respectively 5.25%, 2.20%, 1.06%. For 80 cm long with a space cerucuk 2D, 3D, 5D, respectively for 25.15%, 20.73%, 18.91%. For cerucuk 100 cm long with a spacing of 2D, 3D, 5D, respectively for 33.80%, 31.63%, 29.93%. With this we can conclude that the longer the cerucuk and the closer the distance between cerucuk, the more can increase the shear strength of clay soil.

Abstract

Corrosion is a problem that always happens to the equipment of oil and gas production. Pipe production is one piece of equipment that will not be separated from the process of corrosion. Long Range Ultrasonic Testing is one method that can be used to detect the onset of corrosion in the production pipeline. The method makes use of ultrasonic waves as a medium in the complete evaluation by teletest unit as system settings. In the test series in the field of production pipe Arzon # 89 the corrosion rate will be obtained when the magnitude of the reduction is calculated first pipe wall thickness (wall loss) of yield teletest data reporting system.

Abstract

The objective of this is to study the effects of melt temperature, die temperature and Si content) on microstructure, hardness and tensile strength in squeeze casting (direct squeeze casting) of thin casting material, Al-0.45%Si, Al-3.22%Si and Al-6.04%Si.The alloys were melted on crucible furnace and cast at the temperatures of 665°C, 775°C and 885°C, in die-punch mold heated at the temperatures of 220°C, 275°C and 330°C. Pressure of 135 MPa was applied to press liquid metal in the mold. Microstructure were observed by using optical microscope. Vickers’ hardness and tensile strength were conducted to identify mechanical properties.Results of the tests indicated increase in casting temperature causing increasingly thinner and globular silicone fragments, reduced hardness and tensile strength. The thicker silicone fragments, reduced hardness and tensile strength occurred with the intensifying temperature of the mold. Increase in Si content resulted in thicker and more abundant silicon flakes, intensifying hardness and tensile strength.

Abstract

Until this this day the proper water consumption supply problem at the Pasir Pengaraian University campus still continues. The need for clean water is one of the contributing factors that can not be ignored for the smoothness activity of the campus environment. By not proper the water, directly impacting to activities support on campus will be distrubed. For the treatment of raw water to water consumption required inexpensive technology for water treatment, the installation of Slow Sand Filter (SSF) Up Flow is an alternative that can be used.From the research results can be determined a maximum daily requirement per day is 17.03 m³ / h, discharge of raw water in the pool is 76.65 m³ / h, the surface area of pool water sources is 191, 63 m², SSF tub surface area is 63.88 m² and budget plan is needed to create a pool of water sources and the SSF is Rp. 87.926.300

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are still some of senior high school headmasters in Tanah Datar (Kab) who still don’t understand in implementing KTSP, based on their knowledge, understanding and their capability. This is a descriptive research. All of the sample were taken from all is population. This research used quistionaire and semantic differensial model to collect the data. The data were analyzed using average score formula. This research shows: 1) Senior high school headmasters are categorized quite ready in knowledge side to implement KTSP in Tanah Datar (Kab), with average score 8,21; 2) Senior high school headmasters are categirized quite ready in undestanding side to implement KTSP in Tanah Datar (Kab), with average score 7,88; 3) Senior high school headmasters are categorized quite ready in their capability to implement KTSP in Tanah Datar (Kab), with average score 8,20. Generally, senior high school are categorized quite ready to implement KTSP, with the total average score is 8,09

Abstract

Reduction of forests due to human needs has a negative impact on a watershed, one of the effects of the reduction of the forest is the occurrence of erosion and sedimentation on Kapur Kecil river . To determine the sedimentation rate used method of USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation). USLE method considering the land use on study area, thus this method can be relied upon as an analysis of the amount of sedimentation. The results showed that the sedimentation that occurs based on USLE method of 0,13 mm/year and sedimentation volume of 8,517.65 m3/year.
