Abstract

This thesis type is research with the subject of marketing mix. The study discusses issues of software piracy in Indonesia. Goal of this research is to provide information whether the marketing mix strategy (Product, Price, Promotion, Place) influencing consumer purchase intention that lead to reducing software piracy in Indonesia, and hope this thesis can be used by software principal to reduce piracy and get benefits from this strategy. Literature of this thesis is taken mostly from International book, and several took from local book, local trusted magazine, and best internet source. Theory of marketing mix, purchase intention, software history, software piracy, type of piracy, and the legal use of software has been included to this thesis to give more understanding to the reader. It took the field research on people who use pc / notebook and have used pirated software before, total of 19 questions have been responded by 100 respondents using accidental sampling.  This thesis also examines the impact of marketing mix toward software purchase intention. Using regression analysis, it can be found that there are two variables: price and place that have positive correlation toward software purchase intention. The result of the study will help the principal company to create the right strategy to reduce piracy in Indonesia software market.

Abstract

In recent time the pressure on companies from governments, people and media on taking its social responsibility has increased. This created a trend of Corporate Social Responsibility, which is CSR as Value Creation. But some critics argue that CSR distracts from the economic role of businesses. In certain culture giving out or sharing to the less fortunate people will get back to us in form of blessings and luck. Regarding donation program, a new question arises from the people. Question about where is the money go and who had had my help or even trust issue about whether the donation is managed in transparent and in honesty. The purpose of this paper which named the program Affect.Action is to create business model as non-profit organization for MAP (PT Mitra Adi Perkasa) to manage its CSR and for the public so they can donate effortlessly using online platform. As CSR from MAP Affect.Action operational cost will be funded by MAP so that 100% of the donated fund will delivered for the development of the education sector. In Affect.Action we invite the public to participate from the beginning of the donation process to create emotional attachment. The people can choose the intended donation target every event in quarterly period and a  follow up story and audited report will be presented for public eyes after the donation has been delivered. They can even suggest the donation recipients to Affect.Action for further investigation. In return for their participation, MAP will gives several benefits as a gratitude.

Abstract

The growth of sports nutrition supplement sales is associated with the role of a good system inside the company which implements a business supportive information technology. It is a system that is capable to integrate its sales system with finance and administration system, as well as other functional system that is accessible through website or mobile. The objective of this research is to identify and develop an integrated system feature based on 7C’s framework. By the end of this research, the deliverable is a fully functional integrated system using an android and web based mobile application. This system shall be capable to mitigate or solve company’s current issue and eventually lift the sales growth itself.

Abstract

Low cost carrier flight industry has negative issues recently in Indonesia, for example pilots were identified for drugs problems, many flight cancellation and delay, issues of consumer convenience such as stiff padding and knee-knocking issues and other issues which affects the brand equity of the airline industry itself. Based on the theory, brand equity is an important and valuable asset to a company, since it can affect a long-term relationship between producers and consumers. Thus, bad branding-decision will destroy the business. Therefore, if the company is able to have a good branding, it will increase company’s performance. Customer based brand equity reflects on how customers think, feel, and appreciate a brand as well as price, market share, and the advantages given to a company's brand. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of brand awareness, brand association and price airline tickets low cost carrier flight in Jakarta on purchase intention. The method used was a descriptive correlation method based on hypothesis testing to determine the level of relationship variables as well as the magnitude of the relationship. Results from this study indicate that there is a significant influence of brand awareness, brand association and the price on the purchase intention. However, price has the greatest influence on the purchase intention (0.343) followed by brand association (0.248) and then brand awareness (0,211).

Abstract

The Economic growth has become one of factors that influenced the change of lifestyle and social improvement in Indonesia. As people buying power increase, they tend to shift their purchase preference and consumption to better services and products. Lately, it was happened a phenomenon, where day care becomes the most talked-about topic among working employee who has young kids. Means that, day care now is being reconsidered as part of alternative for people in take care of their child rather than using Babysitter. It showed significantly progress of good market recognition from people related to this day care existence, specifically for group based day care that already exists in Jakarta. Although most people still compare day care to babysitting and make judgment that both of these services are similar even they perceive that babysitters are worthier, since group day care is just half day service, the enthusiasm to this kind of business still remain and began to bloom lately. The field condition shows such a big demand that every enrollment of one the biggest group based day care always reach their capacity that makes them put on waiting list. Therefore, through this research, we want to collect information about what exactly happened in Jakarta specifically related to day care trend among working people. This study is important for everyone who planned to establish similar business as well as become our preliminary study to recognize day care market for the business model that we will develop later. As market condition already mapped well, it’s easy to set proper segmentation, target, and positioning for our business model.

Abstract

The sustainability of business that involves the participation of the poor into the strategy is always intriguing in the perspective of the process and feasibility.This paper try to analyze a firm that embeds corporate social responsibility strategy as part of their business rather the reputation as a benchmark to create argumentationthat support the proposition that alliance with the poors can build sustainable competitive advantage. The theory of Industrial Organization, Resource Based View, Network and Stakeholder theory is used as the tool to draw the conclusion.

Abstract

Research aims to analyze the effect of DPK, LDR, [1]CAR, NPL, ROA, and BOPO on credit grant in Indonesian banking. Research used quantitative analysis method with multiple regression technique to examine the relationship of one dependent variable and more than one independent variables. Variables used in the study were DPK, LDR, CAR, NPL, ROA, and BOPO as independent variables and the amount of credit grant as dependent variable. Results showed that six independent variables simultaneously affected the dependent variable; and partially, variable DPK and LDR had significant positive influence on the amount of credit grant. Then, the CAR showed no significant positive influence and NPL, ROA, and BOPO showed no significant negative on the amount of credit grant.

Abstract

The primary objectives of this research is to learn whether the Springate model and the Altman model can be used to predict delisting, and which model is more accurate, Springate or Altman for industrial company group. This research used quantitative method with secondary data collected by selected random sampling from industrial company groups listed in IDX and preceding researchers’ scientific articles. This research used logistic regression to test hypothesis simultaneously with F test and t test for testing the partial hypothesis.  The results of this research describe that either Springate model or Altman model can be used predict delisting and Altman model more accurate than Springate model to predict delisting. The independent variables that affects delisting are earning before interest and taxes to total assets, earning before taxes to current liabilities, working capital to total assets, earnings before interest and taxes to total assets, market value equity to total liabilities, and sales to total assets. It is recommended to further research that the topic of this research can be continued using others company groups or and model. Investors and creditors who invest funds and give loans will select a company that will not be delisted on the future.

Abstract

This study is aimed to test the impact of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR),  Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Operasional cost/ Operational revenue (BOPO) (BOPO), Non Perfoming Loan (NPL) and Size  on the banks’ profitability, Return On Asset (ROA). The sample banks are banks that are listed in Kompas 100. The data is collected from the sample banks quarterly financial statements. The data analysis employed is the multiple regression, Chow test and Hausman test to determine the different impacts of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Operasional cost/ Operational revenue (BOPO), Non Perfoming Loan (NPL) and Size on the banks’ profitability. The result shows that NIM has a significant positif impact on the profitability. Meanwhile, BOPO and Size negatively affect the profitability. For the investors, the results could be used to value the banks in the market.

Abstract

The objectives of this study is to examine the effect of corporate social responsibility on Corporate Image in Indonesian companies based on LQ45 index which denoted by corporate image as dependent variable, CSR as independent variable, Return on Equity (ROE), Stock Price, Asset Turnover (ATO), and Company Size as the control variables. This study uses 43 companies listed in LQ45 Index for the period of 2010-2013 as the sample. Two companies does not have a complete annual report for 2010 and 2011, therefore, those 2 companies are removed from this research. The data analysis used is correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. This study finds that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has positive and significant effects towards Corporate Image (CI). The results for control variables show that Asset Turnover (ATO), Stock Price (SP), Return on Equity (ROE), and Company Size have no effect on Corporate Image. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) positively and  affects significantly Corporate Image ,while Stock Price, Asset Turnover, Company Size, and Return on Equity showed no effect on Corporate Image. If companies in Indonesia want to have a positive public perception from societies, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the appropriate program that could be implemented within the company.
