Abstract

PT Cahaya Buana Furindotama is a company incorporated in the Olympic Group. This company is a manufacturingcompany which produces furniture and household-wares made from plastic material. Problems en countered were rawmaterial shortage and production delay, though the company already had a partnership with several suppliers because ofthe un-integrated data and there was a “human error” in data entry. Results of the problem were the company could losemarket share and threatened with competitors’ position. Based on the problems which arose, it was proposed to use an e-SCMapplication system at the company because e-SCM application system could help the company to manage flow of raw materialbetter and strengthen the company’s relationship between suppliers and distributors. The methods used were Porter’s FiveForces to analyze the company’s position in market and SWOT Method to determine a strategy could be used by the company.Based on the internal matrix (IFE), the result obtained was 3:08. Whereas, the external matrix (EFE), the result obtained was3:34. Based on both results, it can be concluded that the company is in a strong position in matrix IE. Whereas, the strategyused is Strengths-Opportunity (SO) which is in SWOT matrix. It is expected that the SO strategy and e-SCM applicationsystem, the company can be more strength its position in the market.Keywords: e-SCM, SWOT, internal matrix, external matrix

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of internal control at PT Arori Jaya and provided recommendation to the weaknesses found. The method used is the method of interview, check list, observation, and documentation study. The results of the evaluation system sale information found weaknesses of each control, where there are weaknesses that allow the potential risks that may occur as well as the recommendations as necessary remedial action. The conclusion is based on the evaluation results have been obtained on credit sales information system controls at the company, still need improvement. With the internal control system of better information, it is expected the company to ensure protecting data and information from every threat that may arise.Keywords: evaluation, credit sales information system

Abstract

Purpose of the research are to analyze, design, and recommended the payroll of accounting information system that support the internal control to solve the problem. Research methods used are book studies, field studies, and design studies. Fields studies done by survey and interview. The expected result are to give a review about the payroll of accounting information system in the ongoing business process of company and to solve all the weakness in the payroll system, so the company can use the integrated information system in counting of the payroll. Conclusion that can take from the research are there’s some manipulation risk of attendance data and documentation of form still using a manual system and simple data backup. Then, there’s also manipulation risk in allowance cash system and all the report that include in the payroll.Index Terms - Accounting Information System, Payroll

Abstract

Article presents analysis and analyze a software that utilize Geometry Fractal, especially Iterated FunctionSystem Fractal, as art. Research method that has been used in this research is by library study and by laboratoriumstudy to test the performance of the software. Result of the research has shown that converted music by GeometryFractal has various results, which depend on the parameters used in it and type of Geometry Fractal image produced.It can be said that usage of fractal in high iteration can produce clear image fractal and complicated music fractal.

Abstract

The Human Resources Division of a company is a vital division. Most of the time, they perform their work manually, and therefore creating limitations to their capacity. The knowledge contained is very important for human resources development and subsequently for developing the company. In order to manage this knowledge well, the company shall require a knowledge management system. This knowledge management system would be a solution to be used for the company to manage all knowledge contained in that particular division. Phases in designing knowledge managements starts from analyzing knowledge sources of the company, knowledge identification and definition, and determining knowledge goals. Knowledge management systems contain many functions such as collecting, recording and managing the knowledge and sharing this to all related employees easily. The company may also use knowledge management systems to share and inform employees regarding updates of information, news and/or activity regarding the employees themselves. Information from knowledge management systems may also be used by employees to monitor their performance and thereby increasing it. Abstract

Long Tail Strategy is a business strategy which explains that the total revenue from the sale of non-popular products may exceed the total income from popular products. This may happen since generally there is only a small number of popular products, which is in great demand, while there are many of the non-popular types which is sold in small amounts. This research aims to better understand the role of IT behind the success of the Long Tail strategy. Results show stages of how to develop IT strategy, including identification, analysis, determines on a strategy, until implementation. Abstract

The fact that a small number of lecturers who are able to meet or pass the requirementsfor obtaining or enhancing the academic hierarchy (JJA/Jenjang Jabatan Akademis) is the reasonof the study. An analysis was performed on the historical data of the university faculty members.Analysis of historical data was done by making use of a data warehouse and data miningapplications to describe and map lecturer’s JJA care, as well as with the data mining tool WEKAversion 3.6.6. to know some of the variables that affect the maintenance of the JJA at BinaNusantara University. Results of this study are most between the ages of 30 and 45 years old, andfor analysis based on a paper having an excellent outcome is the level of lecturer (Lektor) andAssociate Professor. Based on these results, it needs special attention especially those agedbetween 30 and 45 and who have JJA Associate Professor and Lecturer (Lektor).

Abstract

Recently, usage of Information Technology (IT) as assisting tools in business activities is becoming more common. Business transactions are conducted with support of IT tools so that they can be well processed by system. This is only a small part of IT usage in supporting business activities. IT role can be increased by designing and implementing a system which can extract and change business information from existing operational data so that in the end it can give support in formulating business decisions.
