Abstract

This paper is about to explain the incident of the East Timorese who moved to Pangkep District, due to the riots after the announcement of the results of the Popular Consultation in the area. The situation became tense and caused insecurity among the people of East Timor. Including the migrants, from various regions of Indonesia such as Pangkep District. Pangkep people who have stay for a long time in East Timor, in general already have some valuable assets. Such as land, house, shop, and vehicle. But unfortunately, their assets were left behind, before being sold. The problem of the assets of the newcomers is then required to be resolved immediately. The study of the East Timor Exodus in Pangkep District is interesting because the arrival of migrants in East Timor and their return after the referendum has not been specifically studied. Especially coming from South Sulawesi, especially Pangkep regency. This research is a qualitative research with Historical Research approach, which consist of several stages: (1) Heuristic, by interviewing some East Timor Exodus people like Hasan, Salma, Muhris, etc. Collecting records at the Pangkep District Social Service, data held by the National Committee for East Timor Police Victims of Pangkep District, and in the November 5, 2016, issue of the Daily Fajar newspaper. It also used books related to East Timor, population and societal studies (Sociology / Anthropology). (2) Criticism or verification process of authenticity of historical sources. (3) Interpretation or interpretation of historical sources, and (4) Historiography, is the stage of historical writing.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the traditional fishermans penetration in the village of Panaikang subdistrict of Sinjai Timur the regency of  Sinjai (1955-1970). The result of research indicates that in 1955 the people began to looking for fish in the sea. They live in groups according to the area where they make a living. The traditional fisherman in the Panaikang village were referred to as the pa’panja because of the used of the payang (panja). Originally, traditional fishing grounds were not far from the shoreline. As it progresses to the operational terrority far enough to the Tanjung Pandang and Bangka. A single months journey with compass instructions, the position of the sun and the moon. A boat that used a Biruang boat, pagatang boat, and soppe’ bajo with oars and sails. Fishermen of 8-12 people on each boat. There are also components of a fishermans work and as well as the class of the fishermen, had payang (panja), and the sawi, who were founded on the basis of family activities. The fishing orientation is still subsisten. The economic conditions of the fishermen in the village of Panaikang were the prosperous, and this was felt by punggawa. This can be seen from the existence of a system of 50% for punggawa, the have panja and sawi gets a 25%. There were a traditional of survival by making sulo fesse when going to sea, it was a matter of catch. This study used the method historical research, namely: heuristic, criticism of the source, interpretation and historiography. Data collection methods are done by how a field research is made up of interviews (punggawa, sawi and the fishermens wife) and collect the source of the archives (Sinjai archives, documents from the village and fishing offices) and the literature related.

Abstract

This paper attempt to provide an explanation of the description of orange farming in Batangmata Sapo. After having succes in rice self-sufficiency the government is giving more attention in the development of horticultural commodities. As well as South  Sulawesi region that increasing the economic growth and also develops a wide variety of business, one of them in the field of horticulture. Through the type of orange plant developed in the Luwu and Selayar areas. In 1979’s the coconut farmers was much higher more than of other cultivators. In the 1980’s people in this area are turning to cultivate oranges because that is considered more promising a better result than planting coconut. The Batangmata Sapo area that development the oranges agriculture for  the first time was in a village called Tamallua. Being farmed oranges is not always pan out, the disease and the season become a obstacle to farmers right now. This study is interesting to be studied because Batangmata Sapo is a center of orange production in Selayar Islands District because there are no one of researcher that looked at specifically. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis approach, which consist of several stages namely: (1) Heuristic, by interviewing some orange  farmers such: Makmur, Taris, Muh. Daeng, Harundini. The archives collection at the Agriculture Department and Food Security of the Selayar Islands Regency, regarding orange production data in each year and also used a books that related to agriculture andorange crops such as Rahmat Rukmana's book entitled Tangerine farming (2) Criticism or the process of verifying the authenticity of historical sources. (3) Interpretation or interpretation of historical sources, and (4) Historiography, is the stage of historical writing.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the general picture of Malino as a conference and tourist venue that started from 1946 to 2002, and also explained the background of the Malino conference in Tinggimoncong Sub-district. This research uses a historical research method consisting of four stages, namely heuristic (searching and collecting sources), source criticism (internal criticism and ektern), interpretation (source interpretation) and historiography (historical writing). Methods of data collection is done by conducting field research consisting of interviews and collecting archives and related literature. This study is a historical research with qualitative descriptive approach, so that in the process of research using research methods in accordance with historical scientific rules consisting of several stages. The stages are heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study indicate that Malino as a place of conference and tourist attractions, in 1946 was the beginning of Malino serve as the venue for the establishment of NIT conferences by the Dutch colonial, then in the reform era between 2001 and 2002 there are at least two important activities of peace negotiations Poso conflict and the Maluku conflict also held in Malino where the negotiations reached a peace agreement between the conflicting parties. In addition to Malino as a place of peace as well as a tourist area where since 1975 Malino serve as a tourist destination in South Sulawesi, where Malino as a natural tourist destination and cultural and historical tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to know the background behind the formation of  Gaukang in South Sulawesi society, Gaukang Tu Bajeng Ceremony in the early days of independence and now, and the public view of Gaukang Tu Bajeng ceremony of Gowa district. This study is historical descriptive by using historical research methods, through the stages of work that includes; heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Heuristics is the stage of collecting historical sources, the source is then criticized for getting the facts with other facts. As the last stage is historiography or presentation, which is reconstructing historical events into historical stories in the form of historical descriptive. The results showed that Gaukang as a symbol of the strength of ancestors believed by the public as a talisman that can save them. Gaukang become a sacred and highly respected object. The interest of Mr. Fukusima to see Gaukang objects in Bajeng / Limbung make Limbung society hold a ceremony called Ceremony Gaukang tu Bajeng. This ceremony is held every year to commemorate the heroes of the Limbung / Bajeng region in seizing and maintaining independence.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Movement of Kaloling, Layoa, Bajiminasa in Bantaeng 1999-2014. This study aims to discuss the background of the formation, movement patterns KANTIBMAS KALBA Bantaeng District, the movement, and the impact of movement KANTIBMAS KALBA Bantaeng District from 1999-2014. the researchers designed this research is qualitative descriptive by using historical (historical) method of writing. Through the stages of Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography The results of this study found that the formation and movement of KANTIBMAS KALBA Bantaeng Regency backed by a sense of disappointment of the villagers Kaloling, Layoa and Bajiminasa against security forces that are not effective in controlling the perpetrators of crime in Bantaeng District that increasingly troubling and threatening ketentraman community. In addition, the movement carried out by the KANTIBMAS KALBA Bantaeng District is stru (Anon., t.thn.)ctured neatly and very effectively so as to provide an impact that can be felt by the community by starting to control the security and public order in Bantaeng Regency. Every operation performed was a shock teraphy for the perpetrators of the crimes that made as many as 1,062. The perpetrators of crime in Bantaeng District in 1999-2003 surrendered themselves to the authorities. This success inspired other regions to form similar movements such as the Massa of Jeneponto, Massa Takalar, Massa Gowa, Bulsaumba, Sinjai, Forbes Bone and Pinrang. Abstract

This Paper discusses Leko Pancing Dam in Maros district (1973-2016) which will be decomposed in several sub-material that is the background of the contruction of Leko Pancing Weir, the  development of Leko Pancing Dam from the beginning of the  development in 1973 until 2016 and the impact of the existence of Weir for the community. The Problem studied in this paper is Leko Pancing Dam located in Maros regency build in Maros District administration area but untilized as raw water source by PDAM Makassar thorough water treatment plant (IPA) Panaikang to fulfill the need of clean water of Makassar City community. The result of research shows that Leko Pancing Dam in Maros Regency development is in the background against the unavailability of surface water in Makassar city which can be used as a sourch of raw water that can be used as if the water source of PDAM Makassar in Panaikang Water Treatment Plant, and in Makassar only has one processing installation water is IPA I Ratulangi with a capacity of 50 liters/second that can not meet the need for clean water Makassar city community. Impact of existence of Leko Pancing Dam which reside in Maros Regency as raw water supply for three water Treatment Plant that is water treatment plant (IPA) II Panaikang, water treatment plant (IPA) III Antang, water treatment plant (IPA) II Pattontongan has benefits so that the need for clean water can be available although it can not be available althoughout the year because during the dry season the water supply from the lute of fishing lute is reducer and other problems such as public complaint that feel the water is less clean and sometimes smelly. Another impact is because water from the weir to the installation uses an open channel then the community uses its water to meet daily needs. This research is descriptive analysis using historis method. Through the stages of heuristics by finding sources related to researce either in the form books, brochures, or visiting the location of research and conduct interviews that have to do with research, the next stage of criticism both in the form of internal criticism and external critism to get historical facts about Leko Pancing weir in Maros district, from these facts which are further interpreted chronologically then presented in a historical writing.

Abstract

This research is intended to give an overview To know the background of early existence of Lemo-Lemo Beach Objects in Bulukumba, the development of Lemo-Lemo Coastal Tourism Object in Bulukumba District, and the impact of Lemo-Lemo Beach Object in Bulukumba District around and for the district government bulukumba. This study is a historical research with qualitative descriptive approach, so that in the process of research using research methods in accordance with historical scientific rules consisting of several stages. The stages are heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study indicate that Bulukumba Regency has tourism potency which can be developed maximally by the government, so that the tourist object of lemo-lemo beach is officially used as tourism object in Bonto Bahari Subdistrict since 2000 by Bulukumba Regency Tourism Office. The existence of lemo-lemo beach attraction gives an impact to the life of the economy, both for the surrounding community in particular and bulukumba district in general.

Abstract

This study reveals that the background of the awakening of indigenous peoples in South Sulawesi, due to the marginalization of the state policy with agrarian resources pengulaaan that began in 1811 in the colonial period and the 1999 era of reform that led to agrarian conflicts. Indigenous peoples in South Sulawesi formed a strength by organizing their groups into AMAN formed in 2003. The organizational development has experienced three successive organizational leaders namely MahirTakaka at the beginning of the formation of 2003-2008 which was appointed Sirajuddin at the first muswil 2008-2013 and then SardiRasak on the second muskil 2013-2016. In making AMAN a struggle organization, the strategy of struggle by taking three paths of organizational education, political struggle and lane of litigation. This research is a historical research with historical methodology that has stages, heuristics (data collection), criticism (verification), interpertasi (interpretation) and historiography (historical writing). Abstract

This study aims to determine the background of coffee farming, coffee agriculture development to agricultural impacts of Arabica Coffee in Benteng Village Alla Utara District Baroko. This type of research is qualitative research. This research is done through interview and literature study using historical method through several stages: heuristic (source collection), source critic, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the existence of Arabica Coffee farm in Benteng North Alla Village began in 1750 after the Dutch managed to colonize the North Alla Fort Village. The development of coffee plantations began to be re-enacted when the arrival of Ir. Sugiyo from Jember, East Java. Ir. Sugiyo is an agricultural employee from Java. Ir. Sugiyo introduced a kind of Arabica Coffee that has good quality. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that Arabica Coffee has an impact to the society economy in Benteng Alla Utara village which is providing employment such as season laborer and day laborer, ownership of property for Arabica coffee farmer, and giving impact to regional income.
