Abstract

Cyclization of natural rubber has been carried out by the chain scission process preceded earlier. Chain scission process performed in a solution of phenol at a temperature of 1800C by using Brosse method, oxidation reaction with fenilhidrazin and oxygen . While the cyclization of natural rubber was conducted by Tutorskii method , using lewis acid catalyst, P2O5. Characterization of raw materials and products of the chain scission and cyclization performed by infrared spectroscopy analysis. The infra red spectra showed the strong peak at 2925 cm-1 and 1446 cm-1 , reduced absorption at 1600s cm-1, the emergence of a new peak at 757 cm-1 and a weaker absorption peak at 835 cm-1. The absorption peaks of cyclic natural rubber of crumb rubber ( SIR - 10 ) also changed . The results showed that the percentage of chain scission were 13.1 % on the latex and 2 % on the SIR - 10 . While the percentage of cyclization yield of latex and SIR - 10 were 22.8 and 73.1 %, respectively.Keywords : cyclic natural rubber, chain scission, cyclization

Abstract

The objectives study was to investigate the effect of  CaSO4  consentrations and clotting time on quality of  jackfruit seed tofu. This study used a completely randomized  factorial design with  two replications. The first factor is CaSO4 consentration (C), which consists of 4 levels are: C1 = 1%, C2 = 2%, C3 = 3% and C4 = 4%. The second factors is clotting time (L) consisting of 4 levels, namely: L1 = 30 minutes,  L2 = 60 minutes, L3 = 90 minutes and L4 = 120 minutes. Parameters that observed: protein content, sucrose content, organoleptic color, flavor and texture. CaSO4 consentration and clotting time influenced the protein and sugar content, organoleptic color, flavor and texture. Keywords: tofu, jackfruit seeds, calcium sulfate, clotting.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the influence of liquid organic fertilizer and solid waste (sludge) to growth and production tomatoes (SolanumLycopersicum L.).  Pure varieties were used in this research. This research carried out by using a group random design (SHELVES) Factorial with two factors that are examined, factors giving Multiguna exclusively with 3 level, namely: Mo = Without treatment, M1 =2 ml/1 liter of water, M2 = 4 ml/1liter water. Factors giving Solid waste ( sludge ) with 3 level, namely: S0 = Without treatment, S1 = 3 kg/assassinations, S2 = 6 kg/plots. This research done by using 3 deuteronomy, the number of plants per plot 6 plants, the number of plant samples per plot 3 plants, the number of plots or 27 assassinations, the distance between plots or 50 cm, distance between deuteronomy 100 cm, long-term plots or 150 cm, wide plots or 1 m, wide plots or 100 cm x 150 cm, distance 40 x 40 cm, the number of plants altogether 216 plants, the number of plant samples 81 plants. The result showed liquid organic fertilizer with the dose 4 ml/liter water affected the plants, the highest 53.78 cm, the number of fruit per plant most is 13.12 fruit. Heavy fruit per plant most severe is 333.89 g Solid waste (sludge) have effected on tomatoes, the highest is 50.78 cm, there is no interaction between the liquid organic fertilizer and solid waste (sludge) to all parameters that are measured.Keywords: tomato, fertilizer multiguna exclusive, solid waste ( sludge )

Abstract

This research to know the influence of various a dose of irradiasi gamma rays against viabilitas and vigoritas seeds and to knows the difference the growth of seedlings of the paddy resulting from irradiasi gamma rays in the seddbed. The research done on October to December 2011 in Kebun Percobaan the faculty of agriculture UMSU in Jln. Tuar Kelurahan Medan Amplas, Kecamatan Denai, Kotamadya Medan.  The research using random complete non factorials consist of three different levels of  dose  irradiasi (D) ie: D0= 0 Gy (kontrol),  D1= 100 Gy, D2  = 200 Gy, D3= 300 Gy, D4= 400 Gy, D5= 500 Gy. Irradiasi gamma rays on seeds cause a decrease in viabilitas and vigoritas paddy seeds. A dose irradiasi gamma rays 500 Gy cause the lowest of viabilitas and vigoritas seed of all treatment.Keyword: Irradiation gamma rays, doses, viability, vigority, seed.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the  growth and production responce of green bean by using of liquid organic fertilizer and TSP by   randomized block design (RBD) factorial with two factors under studied namely : liquid organic fertilizer (B) which consist of four standrd that  B0 = control, B1 = 5 cc / liter of water, B2 = 10 cc / liter of water and B3 = 15 cc / liter of water while fertilizer  TSP (T) which consist of three standard that  T0 = control, T1 = 15 g / plant, and T2 = 30 g / plants.  Liquid organic fertilizer as first factor and fertilizer TSP as a second factor.

Abstract

The peat soil is very potential to be developed, but in other side, the peat soil has some problems that so complex, namely the ugly physical characteristic, chemical and biological, in that case, to use as a farmland, some of its characteristic that influence on the plants need to be repaired.  The purpose of this research to look at the influence of  some  soil repairer materials types  to the infectivity of Bradyrhizobium. The research was conducted in the greenhouse of the USU Agriculture Faculty since March to November 2008. This research uses the non-factorial completely randomized design which consists of 13 treatments and two repeats. The treatments tested include, control (A0), dolomite lime (A1), sea mud (A2), lime + sea mud (A3), Bradyrhizobium (A4), mos (A5),   Isolates mycorrhizal of  peat soil (A6), isolates mycorrhizal of the mineral soil (A7),   Bradyrhizobium+mos (A8), mos + Isolates mycorrhizal of  peat soil (A9), mos+ isolates mycorrhizal of the mineral soil (A10), Bradyrhizobium+mos+ Isolates mycorrhizal of  peat soil (A11), Bradyrhizobium+mos+ Isolates mycorrhizal of mineral soil (A12). The variable observed that is amount of root nodules / pot. The variable is analyzed non-factorial with the Excel program, the further testing of DMRTI. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of solid waste (sludge) and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The design used was          a factorial randomized block design (RAK-F) with 2 factors were investigated, namely: Factors solid waste (sludge) (S) consists of 3 levels ie S0 = without giving, S1 = 2.5 kg / plot and            S2 = 5 kg / plot. Organic Liquid Fertilizer Factor Super ACI (A) divided into 3 levels ie A1 = 1 cc / l, A2 = 2 cc / l, A3 = 3 cc / l. The parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of branches (branches), leaf number (strands), number of fruits per plant (fruit), fruit weight per plant (g), and fruit length (cm), number of fruit per plot (fruit). Results showed that administration of solid waste (sludge) has significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and length of fruits per plant. With a dose of the best applications that S2 (5 kg / plot). Liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI significant effect on the parameters of the number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant and fruit length per plant. Best application that A3 (3 cc / l). combination of solid waste (sludge) with a liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI provides the interaction parameter the number of fruit per plot, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and length of fruits per plant. With the combination of the best application doses solid waste (sludge) 5 kg / plot with a liquid organic fertilizer concentrations Super ACI       3 cc / l. Key words:eggplant, Sludge and liquid organic fertilize

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the influences of production inputs (land, seed, fertilizer solid, liquid fertilizers, herbicides, and labor) to the continued production of cassava farming and to identify the level of income from farming cassava farmers in Silau Rakyat Village Sei Rampah Resort Serdang Bedagai. Sampling method using census method which takes all the population. The data analysis method used is the multiple linear regression analysis and analysis of revenues. The results showed that the use of production inputs in the study area simultaneously affecting cassava production continued. While partially affecting cassava production is continued land, seeds and liquid fertilizer, while not affecting cassava production is continued solid fertilizers, herbicides and labor. Then based on the results of the analysis of the level of income is known that the level of income of farmers in the study area is high. Keyword : production inputs, farming

Abstract

The research of the effect of various types of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean (Vigna radiata l.) has been carried out by using a randomized block design  with 2 factors and 3 replications. The analytical methods used to conclute derived from the analysis of data by using a linear mathematical model. The observed parameters were plant height, stem diameter, number of productive branches, number of pods / plant and 100-seed weight. Provision of various types of organic fertilizers, organic fertilizers dose, as well as interaction not significant effect on all parameters observed.Keywords: organic fertilizer, growth, yield, mung bean

Abstract

This aim of study was to analyze the factors that affect employee productivity of harvester in PT. Eastern Sumatra Indonesia Bukit Maradja Estate. Sampling method using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling is a way of sampling from the population members with random and stratified. Data analysis method used is rank spearman analysis and coefficient determinant. The results showed that there is a correlation between work motivation, work dicipline dan compensation on productivity of harvester in PT. Eastern Sumatra Indonesia Bukit Maradja Estate. Then based on the results obtained coefficient analysis determinant factor most strongly correlated to labour productivity is the factor of work motivation.   Keyword : work productivity, employees palm harvesters
