Abstract

The background of this research is that the students’ math concept understandingwas still low and their score on math was under KKM. It was caused by theinteraction among students in the classroom was not harmonies. The aim of thisstudy is to find out the effect of implementing pair change technique on students’math concept understanding. The design of this research is pre-experimentalresearch design, one shot case study. The subjects of this research were eighthgrade students of SMPN 2 south solok. Based on the research done, it was gottenthat the average score of the students post-test is 79,91. It is higher than theaverage of the students previous score, 53,90. It shows that there is a positiveeffect of implementing pair change technique on students’ math conceptunderstanding. Based on result of data analysis, it is known that experimentalclass has the homogeneity. The result of hypothesis testing shows thatP-Value = 0, 014. It tells us that P-Value < ,is =0, 05, so the null hypothesisis accepted with the degree of trust is 95%. Therefore, the null hypothesis: there isa positive effect of implementing pair change technique toward students’ mathconcept understanding, accepted. Concerning on that research result, it isrecommended for the Math teachers to use pair change technique in teachingmath.

Abstract

This research background by students comprehension of matematical consept that were still low and afraid to explore their opinion and ideas that they have. This research purpose is to know the implementation strategy of active learning type active knowledge sharing is have influence of matemaical concept for grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Sitiung. This method of research was pre-experiment reseacrh with random to the subject. The population research was grade VIII student of SMPN 1 Sitiung except class VIIIc and VIIId that was the superior class. Analysis technique used was t test one party by manual, so it can conclude have influence the implementation strategy of active learning type active knowledge sharing of matematical concept for graade VIII of SMPN 1 Sitiung.

Abstract

The background of the research is the lack of student’s Math concept understanding and activeness in learning process. This study intend to determine the activity of student learning and understanding of mathematical concept students ability to apply active learning strategy LSQ. The type of the research is an experimental research. The research uses a technique of random sampling. The instruments used are the observation sheets of student’s activity and a test of Math concept understanding in the form of essay. Hypothesis testing using the U Mann- Witney test with the help of MINITAB software. Based on the hypothesis test result is found that P-value 0,0004 means smaller than α, so the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the analysis of observation sheet, it is found that the student’s learning activity increasing. It can be concluded that the student’s activity is increasing and the student math concept understanding applying the active learning strategy of LSQ type is better than the student Math concept understanding applying the conventional learning to students of grade VIII of MTsN Palangki, Sijunjung Regency.

Abstract

The background of theresearch is students Math concept understanding of eighthgrade students of MTsN 1 LembahGumanti is still lack and there are not a goodteam work in the lesson group.This research aims to know how the applicatiominfluence of active learning strategyof Group to Group Exchange type to thestudents math concept understanding in eight grade student of MTsN LembahGumanti. The type of the reseacrch is pre-experiment research with researchdesign of pre-test and post-test group. Data analysis tecnique is t-test.Based on the hypotessis result thitung is 31.24 and ta is 1.68. hypotesis acceptedbecause thitung> ta. It can be concluded that the using the active learning strategyof Group to Group Exchangetype gives influence to the students math conceptunderstanding in eighth grade students of MTsN Lembah Gumanti..

Abstract

The background of this research is students understanding of mathematicalconcepts that still low and the students have not braved to ask to their teacher,they are only ask to their friends. The purose of this research is to find is there isinfluence active learning strategy type peer lessons toward comprehensionmathemathic consep of the student. Kind of this research is pra-experimentresearch with research design are pre-test and post-test group. Population of thisresearch is the student in eighth class of SMPN 1 V Koto Kampung DalamKabupaten Padang Pariaman. Teqhnique of collecting sampel is randomsampling in 4 Class. Instrument data collecting is test. Technique analysis ofdata by using uji t’ two side based on hypothesis ℎ = 13,75 more than2=2,07 because ℎ >2, so hypothesis of this research are accepted. Inconclusion there is significance effect toward active learning strategy type peerlessons toward comprehension mathemathic consep of the students with theaverage 95%.

Abstract

This research is background by the reason of there are many students who still have low grade of the students competece grade (KKM) the lowest target grade is around 75. This problem is caused by the comprehending of students mathematic concept is still low. The student find difficulities while they do the different examples are different from the questions from their book. Besides that, they seldom discuss with their friends to resolve their problems to comprehend their subject. Based on this problem the researcher tries to resolve this problem by using the College Ball followed by a quiz strategy. The purpose of thus research to find the effectiveness of using the College Ball followed by a qiuz strategy is more effective than the conventional method in learning mathematic in junior high school of 6 Padang. The type of research is experimental research by using Randomized Subject. The population of this research is the third students of junior high school of 6 Padang. The instrument in this research is post test with 𝑟110,69 reability. The data analysis shows that p-value=0,0000 is lower than (𝛼) = 0,05. It cloud be concluded that by using the College Ball followed by a quiz strategy is more effective than by using conventional method in learning mathematic for the students in junior high school of 6 Padang.

Abstract

lack of material sources that are able to facilitate the students to studyindependently. To solve the problem, it is made a constructivism-based module fortriangles and rectangles material. The research aims to develop a valid and practicalconstructivism-based module in MTs TI Batang Kabung, Padang. The validity resultshows that the developed constructivism-based module is very valid i.e. 3.40 for theaverage. Based on the student practical questionnaire result shows that the percentageof the module is 80.73 % and it is categorized as very practical. Meanwhile, theteacher practical questionnaire shows that the percentage of the module is 79.68% andit is categorized as very practical. Based on the results, it can be concluded that aconstructivism-based module for triangles and rectangles material for seventh gradestudents of VII MTs TI Batang Kabung Padang in math learning is valid and practical.

Abstract

This research has problems from understanding of mathematic concept students thatstill low and most of students have not responsible to do some tasks that had beengiven by the teacher. This research has a purpose to know whether bisnis berisikotechniques have positive effect toward understanding concept of mathematicstudents on eighth grades at Junior High School 20 Padang.This research includesin pre-experimental with one shot case study design. This research takes populationall of 8 grades in SMPN 20 Padang which divided into 8 classes in 2014/2015academic year. This research use random sampling, and class VIII 7 had chosen asan experimental class. Instrument in this research takes final test that has indicatorunderstanding concept and give assessment based on analytical scoring rubric. Thistest that is used are essay test with reliability r11 = 0,888. This research analyze thedata based on t test two sides. Based on description and analyze the data, it can beseen that the development of student’s understanding concept in mathematic areincreases in every meeting. And the value of hypothesis are calculated 3,705. avalue greater than of t-table is 2, 052. So, it can be conclude that applying BusinessTechniques have positive effect toward understanding of mathematic conceptstudents on 8 SMPN 20 Padang.

Abstract

The background of the research is that the student work sheet (LKS) used by thestudents in the learning process has not given opportunities to students to relatethe student’s knowledge to the student’s real problem. The material presentationson LKS give an intact concept so that the students are difficult to understandabout the row and line materials. Therefore, it is made a realistic-based LKS forrow and line materials. The research aims to develop a valid and practicalrealistic-based LKS at tenth grade of Private Senior High School of Tamansiswa,Padang. The type of the research is the development by using ADDIE model.ADDIE model consists of five stages, i.e. Analyzing, Designing, Developing,Implementing, and Evaluating. The validity test result of the realistic-based LKSby validator shows that the realistic-based LKS of valid criteria is 3.16. Thestudent practical test result shows that the realistic-based LKS of very practicalcategory is 92.1% . It can be concluded that the realistic-based LKS of row andline material is valid and practical.

Abstract

The background of the research is the learning devices, lesson plan and teaching material, used by students in learning is not related to the student real life. The proposed solution is the developing of math learning devices on the material of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru-based Linear Program. The development aims to know the validity and practice of learning devices. The type of the research is development. The research uses 4-D model that consists of 4 stages, i.e. defining stage, designing stage, developing stage and disseminating stage. The research is only conducted into the third stage i.e. developing stage. The validity and practice are conducted on the developing stage. The validity test result of student work sheet (LKS) and lesson plan by validator are 3.84 and 3.98 and it shows that LKS is in a very valid criteria. The student practical test result is 84.74%, while the teacher practical test result of lesson plan and LKS are 95% and 95.45%. It can be concluded that the math learning devices on the material of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru-based Linear Program is valid and practical.
