Abstract

Borrowing the definition used by Binyamin Abrahamov for discussion of theology: Rationality is treating any issues by using reason, but whitout giving priority reason. Thus, if it is associated with the interpretation means interpreting the Quran by using reasoning or ijtihad, but without making it as the main point. The use of reason in addition to a history that is valid in the interpretation of the Quran is a necessity. This is caused by the editors who sometimes use the Quran itself ambiguous pronunciation (musytarak / ambiguous) meaning there is even the opposite, or use a word with a specific meaning. However, the interpretation of rationality is limited in scope to understand the meaning or spelling or sentence structure verses (read: the discourse of) the Quran. Not including the use of analogy in legal dig no texts or texts in the Quran.

Abstract

This paper departs from the spirit to build the integrative science. Development of integrative science is an importantissue for the Islamic world, not just merely as part of an effort to overcome the problem of the dichotomy of science,which is the root of the problem of dropping people and their stuttering in facing the challenges of modernity, but alsobe an option in solving various problems of contemporary humanity, which can not be solved completely by usingWestern science.The findings of this paper. First, the construction of the Islamic paradigm in the development ofintegrative science rests on spirit of Islamic scientification. Secondly, the paradigm of Islam is considered to have strongprospects in developing the Islamic sciences that relevant to the realities and needs of Muslims.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the political thought in tafsir al qadir written by al-Shawkany.It is written in the paper that in the locus of political life of the state, there is aphenomenon that muslims fell the awkwardness in solving some fundamental problems,such as how to find the right relationship between Islam and politics, how toposition of Islamic law in the context of a modern democratic state, and how Islamiclaw should be understood and practiced. The awkwardness was later implicated in thebirth of various types of political experimentation. Islamic tradition of thought inpolitical philosophy did not develop because of political thought are taught in two differentdisciplines, namely discipline of Jurisprudence and discipline of philosophy. Ironically,in the tradition of Islamic scholarship that dominates is the discipline of jurisprudence,therefore we can not get out of the paradigm of political theology (politicaltheology).

Abstract

Sufi’s poetry or the poetry of Islamic Mysticism is part of the cultural heritage of Islam. If the mention of the many names of Sufi poets, the most commonly known and easily referred to is the name of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi or Rumi. This writing wants to frame the religious experience of Rumi, through his poetries that reflects the attitude of Sufi’s doctrine, in the perspective of Sufi psychologhy. The conclusion was obtained that Rumi was from the type of prophetic religion, so that his attitude of the religion did not leave Syariat aspects which part of Islamic doctrine, although he put a lot of mystical attitude in his eccentric poems since his meeting with Syams Tabriz.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan hak asasi anak dari sudut pandang agama dan konstitusi,serta menawarkan gagasan penguatan hak asasi anak lewat edukasi. Penguatan dapatdilakukan pula melalui kampanye perlindungan anak sebagai bagian dari ikhtiarmenciptakan masa depan Indonesia lebih baik. Anak adalah makhluk rentan yangtidak punya kuasa untuk melawan hegemoni manusia dewasa. Indonesia juga telahmeratifikasi Konvensi Hak Anak. Ada empat prinsip utama dalam Konvensi HakAnak (KHA) tersebut: 1) non-diskriminasi; 2) prinsip yang terbaik bagi anak; 3)hak untuk hidup dan berkembang; serta 4. hak untuk ikut berpartisipasi. Yangdimaksud dengan prinsip non-diskriminasi artinya tidak membedakan anakberdasarkan asal-usul, suku, agama, ras dan sosial ekonomi. Sedangkan yangdimaksud dengan prinsip kepentingan terbaik bagi anak adalah bahwa dalam semuatindakan yang menyangkut anak yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, masyarakat, badanlegislatif, dan badan yudikatif, maka kepentingan yang terbaik bagi anak harusmenjadi pertimbangan utama

Abstract

Concept of Khilafah apparently reaps controversy among community. It is always identified as one of governmentalsystems. This work uses semantic and historical approach to restudy the meaning of Khilafah from many aspects, suchas study of literal meaning, of Qur’anic contexts, and of developed-meaning from beginning until now. Actually,Khilafah is a concept about giving sovereignty by the highest authorization to capable person in permitting to manageand perform the businesses that are handed over to him. Khilafah meant as one of governmental system after AbuBakar, the first leader of Muslims after Rasulullah died, labeled him as Khalifati Rasulillah, and then the governmentalsystem of Khilafah started. However, Khilafah is only being an alternative choice of governmental system nowthat must not be implemented.

Abstract

Tulisan ini difokuskan berbicara tentang justifikasi kekerasan atas nama kitab suciAlquran, seperti yang pernah melatarbelakangi pemboman di Indonesia, terutamayang dilakukan oleh Imam Samudera. Justifikasi tersebut bertolak dari penganuliran(naskh) luar biasa terhadap keberlakuan ratusan “ayat-ayat damai” yang disebutsebagai “ayat kesabaran, pemberian maaf” atau “ayat rekonsiliasi” dengan hanyasatu atau sedikit ayat yang disebut sebagai “ayat pedang”. Status penganuliran luarbiasa tersebut menjadi kontroversi yang tak berkesudahan di kalangan pakar ilmuilmuAlquran. Para ulama tidak hanya berpolemik dalam mengidentifikasi ayatmana yang disebut sebagai “ayat pedang” dan ada atau tidaknya penganuliran,melainkan juga jumlah ayat damai yang dianulir tersebut yang berkembang secaradramatis dalam sejarah yang panjang. Penganuliran tersebut bertolak dari penafsiranayat-ayat damai secara tidak utuh, seperti pemahaman ayat yang tidak sesuai dengankonteks sesungguhnya dan penganuliran ayat-ayat teologis dan moral yang tidakmungkin teranulir. Penganuliran tersebut berpengaruh besar dalam formasi fiqh jihâd.

Abstract

Islamic tradition, well known as Prophetic Hadith, is not only recorded in the primary Hadith Books such as ShahîhBukhârî, Shahîh Muslim, etc, but also in the other books like Historiography and the works about Islamic Law(Fiqh). Fiqh al-Sunnah, the masterpiece of al-Sayyid Sâbiq’s, is one of the works about Islamic Law that mentionmany hadiths for strengthening the argumentation in it. It has been being reference for many people in the world to studyIslamic Law. It has translated into several different languages. Although the author claimed his argumentation basedon valid hadiths, some of them do not actually fulfill the requirements of the valid hadith. So, this paper discussedabout al-Sayyid Sâbiq’s applied theory of hadith. Some hadith in his book will be analyzed to prove his theory. Butafter all, Fiqh al-Sunnah must be appreciated well.

Abstract

This paper studies about the developing of ilm kalam. As for the writer, there aremany historical events that colored the muslim’s thought in field of ushuluddin. Thestatus of islamic theology (faith) in the period of the Prophet and his companions werevery different with the mutakkilimin’s thought in next century. The expression and thediscussion and the argumentations were submitted is really different between propheticperiod and mutakklimin one. Even, in the body of mutakkalimin its self there areseveral models in expression and argumentation. This reality was caused by manyfactors and conditions. By seeing the developing of ilm ushuluddin time by time, can beconcluded that the thought of intelectual muslim in last time was relevant with thechallange in that time. It means that in our period today where the the science and thetechnology evolved rapidly, needed the new model of ilm tauhid that relevant with thesituation and the condition today. So that, the world of God (ayat kauniyyah) that wemay find in many verses in Alquran must be learned in particular.

Abstract

Civic Values dewasa ini telah menggejala di berbagai negara suatu cita-cita sosialyang dikemas dalam bentuk pendidikan kewargaan atau civic education yang memilikiarti yang sangat penting dan strategis bagi kelangsungan kehidupan berbangsa danbernegara. Jika dianalisis dari paradigma kultur mana kedua masyarakat itu lahirdan tumbuh, perbedaan asasiah antara Masyarakat Madani dan civil society akantampak. Jika kembali kepada kultur para filosof sosial Barat abad ketujuh belas dimana wacana civil society itu mulai digulirkan, maka civil society di Barat lahirsebagai buah modernitas yang mengambil akarnya pada gerakan budaya Renaissance.Budaya ini merupakan gerakan yang memarginalkan gagasan tentang Tuhan.Buah masyarakat dari gerakan budaya semacam ini adalah masyarakat sekuler,yang menurut Clavel, di dalamnya posisi Tuhan telah menjadi gagasan yang tertindassejak lebih dari tiga abad yang lalu.
