Abstract

Controlling costs is one of the most important elements in the management of profit. Controlling costs is an act that was carried out continuously to control the costs to be able to generate revenue and profits in accordance with the intended purpose of management. Cost control is good and not always at a low cost. In general the company’s operations, management is always trying to achieve low cost, but it is not entirely correct. In some situations, increased costs may be the best action to improve profits. Management may take a few steps to cost control strategies to manage the company in achieving profits, as follow: control by increasing sales; controlling the cost of goods sold and gross profit; evaluate the operating costs and focus on the management of profit centres of activity

Abstract

Learning that there has been a great member of tourists visiting Indonesia is of course giving a big chance to have service industries especially those which have programs with package tours. Tourist as buyers of a package tour has difference conducts among each other. In marketing products, the runner of the package tour must use a customer approach strategy to be well informed about the different conducts of the customers besides other things that might attract and encourage customers to buy the package tour. The things that attract and encourage customers said above are mainly depending on the package tour that includes various tourist objects to visit and price of a package tour and availability of professional tour guides beside facilities and services to give that make the customers feel comfortable during the trip to and their presence at the tourist – object of tourism. This research is looking for reasons what tourist buy the package tour when they were to trip. Customers’ respond said that they got the trip and used a package tour because the package tour assembled by a tour wholesaler and including airfare, accommodations and activities at a set price. All the needs from the trip have included. The buyer of a package tour was the family aged fifty-one years old, a businessman and they're like with the tourist object and low price.

Abstract

Studi tentang perbedaan prestasi kerja (kinerja) lulusan Stipar Ampta ini dilakukan di 7 (tujuh) hotel berbintang 4 dan bintang 5 di Yogyakarta, dengan sampel sebanyak 93 (sembilan puluh tiga) responden penelitian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memastikan apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara prestasi kerja karyawan lulusan Stipar AMPTA dengan karyawan lulusan Perguruan Tinggi lain pada jenjang diploma III jurusan perhotelan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini ternyata tidak terdapat perbedaan secara statistik (menerima Ho dan menolak Ha) dari prestasi kerja karyawan. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena prestasi kerja karyawan di beberapa hotel yang dijadikan obyek penelitian terdapat banyak faktor / elemen penilaian prestasi kerja, yang berada diluar prestasi perguruan tinggi. Akhirnya sampai pada suatu kesimpulan bahwa hotel bisa dengan leluasa memilih / merekrut karyawannya tanpa melihat darimana asal perguruan tingginya.

Abstract

Setiap daerah memiliki ciri budayanya sendiri, termasuk prosesi dan tata cara pernikahan, baik dari segi religi, tatanan acara, pesta dan lambang-lambang property yang digunakan, demikian halnya suku sasak di pulau lomboq juga memiliki makna setiap lambang property yang digunakan dalam rangkaian upacara pernikahan, terlebih dengan segala keunikan dan keistimewaan tata cara “menarik” yang dianut oleh suku sasak sampai hari ini.

Abstract

Brand equity continues to be one of the critical areas for marketing. This research explores some of the consequences attributes may have on brand equity such as the bias on consumer preference. For comparative purposes, this research is conducted on the high involvement using on the four soft drinks brands. This research being measured the impact of attributes preferences and actual choice frequency for brand attributes on brand equity. Attributes are examined from a tangible and intangible perspective and both are found to be important contributors to brand equity and brand choice.

Global Rivalry demands modernization existence at tourism sector. That thing necessary done so that tourist readies to pay a visit and felt to feet at home at city that visited. Conseqence from this modernization is builds amount of tourism sector supporting facilities. Troubleshoot appears when tourism sector development little by little threaten existence and local culture preservation. Inch by inch but certain society will adopted culture moderner that come from outside the culture self. That thing evoke problem aloof. Majority tourist comes to yogyakarta not in the first place to enjoy modern atmosphere, but exactly to know and enjoy atmosphere and local culture. If that looked for modern atmosphere, metropolis like Jakarta, Surabaya, and batam prepare it.so, if inch by inch local culture is shified, for certain that is long too long yogyakarta will lose asset to on the market in tourists. No more specification yogyakarta that can be putted to interesing tourist. Problem necessary looked for solusi , tourism development yogyakarta necessary aimed in torism development in culture preservation. To crat tourism development in culture preservation, there are some matter that can be goed. First. encouragement returns festival local culture. Second, necessary tourism planetology mapping existence. Third, give culture local load in special province Yogyakarta education curriculum. Fourth, revitalises the palace as a culture centre. In the long trem the company needs of understand the expectation and needs of customers to improve customer satisfaction, which the company shouldbe able to maximize the customer experience the fun and minimize the customer experience. One approach that can be used is to approach the quality of service that bluids on two mayor factor is customer perceotion of service received by actual service ecpected measurement of quality of service as very important for company, becouse it is useful to measure the gap between customer expectation and perception about the service provided by the company. Abstract

The market is always changing and increasing competition. In this condition, the hotel needs to improve responsiveness to the environment to service. Hotels should be able to establish a policy with the best results. Yield management offers a concept for each hotel is able to put himself in the best position in the changing environment. Revenues need to be managed well for a more popular method is called yield management or revenue management Currently, yield management, has become a very important innovation in the hospitality industry. The main objective of yield management is to maximize the occupancy room and at the same price achieved average room rate is high. The rooms are the same product, but have different market segments, both used by the guest or guest tours individual. Each market segment may be subject to different prices for the same period. Demand for each segment in the future, have a fairly high level of uncertainty in thiscase, management does not know how much and when the individual guest is coming. Individual guest room reservations typically do on arrival or a few days prior to say, while guest tour groups generally pay full price and keep the rooms are not already sold to the tourist gueist at cheap prices or discounts. Profit oriented hotel management and have broad freedom of action to increase revenue at the optimum level of demand for rooms is very high. This is to compensate low income or cover losses in the period of very Iow occupancy rates, where rooms are sold at discount in nearly all segments. Room sales management to achieve optimum opinions need to plan how many rooms are sold at a discount and how many rooms were sold at full price. In addition . to avoid loss of revenue due to cancellation of booking rooms during periode of high demand for rooms, management needs to accept room reservations exceeds the number of rooms available for sale

Abstract

Leadership, Competence, and Performance is a Component that effect each other, this is reinforced by Government REGULATION no. 24,2008, about teacher, article 2, of which it is said that teacher must have academic qualifications, competence, certifications becouse that study was conducted to determine the effect of leadership, competence, against the performance of teachers with reseach object SMK Pariwisata teachers Trisula with population sample of 20 teacher. Analyzing the Multiple Regression Analysis counducted and from the result obtained is known that the 2 hypothesis proposed are not proven true, becouse of the test together with the f test, showed that the leadership and competence to provide a very significant effect on performance with F count > F table (939,193> 1,73 ) and from the test individually with the t test result showed that Leadership provides a very significant influence, where t count > t table(4,754 > 2,09) and Competence have a significant influence where t count > t table (2,796 > 2,09), whereas the level of influence given leadership, competency determination against performance seen from the influence of R is 0,805 or 80,5%

Abstract

Menghadapi permasalahan pengangguran saat ini, program pendidikan kewirausahaan baik melalui program pendidikan kecakapan hidup atau program pemberdayaan lainnya yang melibatkan masyarakat harus secara serius dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah ataupun lembaga mitra pemerintah seperti yayasan atau lembaga swadaya masyarakat. Program-program tersebut harus benar-benar berorientasi pada hasil belajar untuk menciptakan generasi wirausahawan. Tujuan seperti ini tentu tidak bisa dilakukan dengan model program yang banyak terjadi saat ini yang hanya berorientasipada penguatan materi dan ketrampilan, namun tanpa ada dukungan penguatan mental dan nilai-nilai dalam diri warga belajar. Oleh karena itu pendidikan berbasis nilai dalam program pendidikan non formal harus mulai dikembangkan baik saat ini maupun di masa yang akan datang, mengingat nilai-nilai tersebut saat ini sudah mulau terkikis oleh berkembangnya kemajuan teknologi dan akulturasi kebudayaan asing yang masuk ke negeri ini. Semangat entreprenuer harus ditumbuhkan sejak masa kanak-kanak. Hal yang sangat disesalkan masih banyak orang tua yang menginginkan anaknya sekolah pintar dan mencari gelar yang setinggi-tingginya. Sedari kecil seorang anak sudah di doktrin bahwa bersekolah yang pintar dan prestasi akan mengantarkan pada kesuksesan. Anak dicetak untuk menjadi pekerja yang dibutuhkan masyarakat luas dengan gaji yang mahal. Dunia pendidikan jangan mengedepankan teori tetapi juga aplikasi. Pendidikan harus mempu menghasilkan manusia yang berswadaya dan bukan manusia pekerja. Pendidikan yang melihat segala sesuatu dari berbagai aspek dan menyeluruh(holistic). Masuknya kurikulum entreprenuer dalam kurikulum pendidikan nasional akan memperkaya sistem pendidikan kita dan berdampak pada pertumbuhan semangat entreprenuer secara luas. Secara otomatis akan tercipta lapangan kerja baru, menurunkan kemiskinan
